  1. Keeping the weapons in was intentional, and not a form of laziness. The MP5 was not in Black Ops, the MP5k was instead. It has a different model than the MP5 of Black Ops II, making it more time-consuming to put that in than putting in the model from the previous game. Also, it wouldn't be hard to add the MP7 in place of the MP5. There's a reason as to why they haven't, but it sure isn't laziness.
  2. Did you ever play World at War? I'm guessing the reason the MP40 isn't in the BO2 maps because that would have made three separate game appearances. Knowing the CoD community, many people would argue about this, saying Treyarch has no originality, no talent, etc. Anyway, on-topic. I think the reason we have both kinds of weapons is perhaps story related. Green Run and Nuketown had a mix of both, whereas Great Leap Forward has more "future" weapons, like the PDW and AN-94. The farther we get into the maps, the further we get in the time periods, and eventually, perhaps, there won't be any more Black Ops weapons. It's a pretty loose theory, but it's really the only explanation I have.
  3. This is VERY old and means nothing. It's a simple heads-up to zombie fans who also play multiplayer. There were numerous books in Black Ops maps that had Richtofen's name on it, as well as DG-2 DG-3. They're nothing more than easter eggs.
  4. It looks convincing, but I can tell it's fake. Look at how the images on the right hand side seem to just line up with the outline, and then turn into another picture completely. Also, note the borders around the pictures. They aren't as bold as the borders in the previous maps. One last thing: there isn't anything on there to hint towards the next map. This isn't a sure-fire way of telling, but it just seems odd that they would stop the hinting process of the torn pages.
  5. Well, I certainly wouldn't mind a Rezurrection II. It would be great to play "Five" with the HAMR. Eat my amazing hitscans bullets, Pentagon Thief! Totally unrelated, but every time I see you post, I think of this guy.
  6. Neat theory, but Maxis wasn't necessarily "evil." He was just a simple man employed under Nazi Germany to help win the war. It isn't clear if he shared the same views as the Nazis, but so far, it doesn't seem like he had any super-malicious intent of taking over the world with zombies. He only followed orders from his higher-ups.
  7. Were you watching custom zombie videos? If so, those are only available on the PC Version of World at War.
  8. In my personal experience, it goes: Die Rise > Nuketown > TranZit I love Die Rise for the sheer size and complexity, Nuketown for the small area fun and classic Zombies feel, and TranZit for the interesting setting.
  9. Definitely Richtofen's side. Really, the balls will start spinning after a few shots if you're not being haphazard about them. And the positioning is fine if you have someone at the tower guiding everyone else.
  10. There is no way to get PhD Flopper on Die Rise. It was a troll and nothing else. Like Delta said, there are barriers that prevent anything from going through.
  11. Just do the side quests again. They're not really that hard. If you're having troubles, try doing the opposite side of the side quest this time around. ie. If you helped Maxis on TranZit and Richtofen on Die Rise, try helping Richtofen on TranZit and Maxis on Die Rise. Afterward, you can redo the original alliance side quest that you started with.
  12. Ah, how I love the World at War OST. 8-)
  13. I thought ESRB didn't allow the whole Nazi part of zombies, and that's why it was changed to just normal zombies? Goodness, no. ESRB doesn't really care, it seems. Look at Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army, or Wolfenstein (2010). The reason it was changed to just "Zombies" is because they weren't just "Nazi Zombies" anymore. Now we have Japanese zombies, American zombies, Russian zombies, Asian zombies, Hellhounds, Zombie Monkeys. etc.
  14. Yeah, like Lithium said, it's not really a big problem. In fact, it could potentially help your team if you need to buy ammo/PaP/EE related things.
  15. Good. At least now, those who get to the high rounds will deserve it.
  16. Like I said, if they made it easier to use, the maps would be simpler. It would result in a lot of similar looking maps with no real depth.
  17. >Trying to greentext on a forum Anyway, I'd rather not see it on every map. It doesn't offer anything that could translate well into any map. Mule Kick was added because it was simple and could go with anything, as it only gave you a new weapon slot. Who's Who, on the other hand, could be detrimental in other maps. For example, let's say you were playing on Green Run and you were downed in the middle of a lava pit with Who's Who. You wouldn't have enough time to revive yourself, and if you got a friend to revive you, it would defeat the purpose of Who's Who.
  18. A map editor would be great, but it would take months of time to create a stable and creativity-inducing editor, and then somehow port it seamlessly to consoles. The map editor on WaW PC isn't easy to use. It's nothing like Forge or Far Cry, it is much more difficult to handle and make use of. Making something like this for the console that anyone could use would severely hinder the creativity in the maps, having to be dumbed down so that anyone could use it.
  19. Meat War Basically, it's like Grief, except one team has the tainted meat. There are no barriers, only M1911's for weapons, and zombies can spawn instantly. A player on the team with the meat can throw the meat at the other team, making the zombies gather around them. Likewise, the team that gained the meat can throw it right back. Basically, it's like a game of catch, except with murderous zombies everywhere.
  20. No, you just need to get the stock SMGs to gold. If you want diamond on the Peacekeeper as well, you have to get diamond on the stock weapons first then get gold on the Peacekeeper.
  21. They didn't add new quotes anywhere else. If they did, they would have said so in the patch notes, along with Turned's "announcer" as they called Richtofen.
  22. Not to mention Marlton says "...same rule that I had on the bus." How could anyone think that Die Rise was before?
  23. I think it was more of a coincidence than anything. Can you find anything that connects Escalation to Annihilation? Was there anything in Annihilation that would later reference the gravity pads or zero-g in Moon? Plus, how would there be zombies in Atlantis? And how would they survive in an underwater city? If they brought it above water, that would kill the purpose of Atlantis and they should have might as well place the map in the Aztec temples. You're right, it's too early to speculate. The ziplines seem nothing more than a coincidence.
  24. Die Rise does not mean "The Rise" in German. Der Anstieg means "The Rise." And you are so wrong on the Der Riese part. You misspelled it.
  25. Just so you know, you can't buy all 6 at once. You can only buy 4. You can get the other two from melee-ing the Jumpers.
