I believe it to be Shanghai because of this.
-
Me too! All aboard the DLC Hype Train! Choo choo...
-
I'd like to think that that is a Nuketown-Only feature, mainly because it's annoying having to wait until round 25 to have all four perks and the ability to Pack-A-Punch.

If they are 115 meteors then the world is definitely doomed...
-
I doubt it. The zombie just looks like a standard Asian zombie.

"All the tea in China"? Marlton and his tea...I would laugh if that was actually the EE and on accident they activate the Pylon. Haha yes! How about an Element 115 tea-bag accidentally powers the tower?
-
I meant I don't really see a resemblance. :P
-
"All the tea in China"? ;)
-
Oh! Well...um.... I don't see it... :|
-
I think that's just a regular zombie...

Remember how the power of the DG-2 teleported the O4 to the future? Well my theory is similar to that. I'm guessing the crew "supercharged" a lamp post teleporter by killing "Him" (the electrical fellow) near one, and perhaps having Richtofen/Maxis somewhat direct even more power to it via the pylon. Although our electric friend isn't as powerful as the Wunderwaffe, it's possible that harnessing its power with a teleporter created a similar effect, except instead of teleporting over an amount of years, it teleported the crew over a large distance. Also, I believe they are in Shanghai. ;)

I'm sorry, am I supposed to be looking at the building itself or the square in the middle of the sky? Kind of misleading title...

Thanks, and I strongly agree! I believe this tower is the main reason why the Green Run Group are in China.

Updated with the "Far East China" connection!

We knew that Nuketown Zombies was coming...
Flammenwerfer replied to Mightymetra's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think it was just a little nod at the time. They didn't know how popular Nuketown was going to be when they made the map. I think the reason Nuketown became a zombies map is not only because it was a popular MP map. It's also because of all those rumours that the map's special secret was that if you shot off all the heads of the mannequins in a short time, zombies would rise and turn the map into a zombies map. -
Doesn't confirm anything, but I'd say chances are good we'll see some new type of super weapon. Well, it DOES confirm that buildables are returning!!!

Just gonna quote my thread for my take on why the crew is in China.
-
It wasn't a trailer though, it was more of a teaser. Just wait until we get a proper Die Rise trailer. ;)

Dev hinted Transportation in Die Rise?! TranZit Style Map?
Flammenwerfer replied to LegitimateRage's topic in Die Rise
Oh Carbon, you know how to mess with our heads. 8-) -
Now, I hate assuming, but let's assume that the map takes place in Shanghai. A quick Google search brings up this image(and many others): See that large tower on the left? That is the Oriental Pearl Tower, which was the tallest structure in China from 1994-2007 at 468 m (1,535 feet) high. What kind of tower is it? It is a radio/tv tower. Perhaps the new side mission in Die Rise is to re-activate this tower and communicate with our fellows on the Moon? EDIT: Also liked to point out this: Look how "far east" Shanghai is. EDIT 2: Also, here's another thing that's worth a mention. Take a look at one of the towers from the Zhoushan Island Overhead Powerline Tie, located in Damao, China. Look familiar? It should, because it's literally an electrical pylon. Plus, Damao is further east than Shanghai, sitting on an island. Here's the quote from Wikipedia.

I think it's just a case of camera shyness. After all, we barely saw Russman in the TranZit trailer all those months ago.

I don't know. Can buses fly?

Agreed. I WANT HUGE MAPS! You. I like you.

In all honesty, I want an even larger map. Green Run in actuality isn't that big. The lengthy roads make it seem like it is, which I like to call "artificial sizing". Just imagine if Green Run had filled up all that empty space with content!
