  1. So, I assume you're using the Tank class then, correct? Honestly, I would recommend the Medic class (if you have it; I don't remember when it's unlocked) and focus on using skill points towards it, seeing as how you don't have auto-sentries yet. Medics not only revive faster, but can run faster, and become immune to the toxic gas from Scorpions. Also, look into upgrading your pistol. It's second-last upgrade lets you hold two primary weapons + pistol instead of just one. It's really helpful when you want to run something like an AR and LMG. Upgrading your ammo is also a good choice, because the more you upgrade it, the more you dish out for you and your teammates. Once you get armor, up that as well. Really, it all depends on the type of playstyle you have and what you have in your class. For example, if your running a Riot Shield instead of a Grenade Turret, you don't really have to focus on it until later when you really need it. If you like to get up in the aliens' faces, upgrade Armor and Medic. Like to stay back a bit? Upgrade Grenade Turret and Ammo.
  2. Solo is actually a lot more bearable if you're running two Sentries at once. That's why I always go for them first, even in co-op. Anyway, damn, sorry to hear that man. I can only imagine how frustrating that could be.
  3. This is actually really neat! Even though it's technically an error, I wouldn't mind experiencing it for myself.
  4. Extinction is a limited Horde mode of sorts. The main premise is that you (and a team of up to three other people) must take a drill to various Alien Hives around the map to destroy them. While the drill is drilling into the hive, you have to protect it from being destroyed by the Aliens. Occasionally, you have to deal with a hive that is blocking the rest of the map and is much too large to destroy with the drill. In these cases, a helicopter must come in and you have to aid it in destroying the hive as well as fending off the copious amounts of attacking Aliens. In Point of Contact, there are 14 hives in total, with two of them being the aforementioned Barrier Hives. After destroying every hive, you and your teammates must arm a Nuke and rush back to where you first spawned within 4 minutes. You will be met with some obstacles along the way that make getting back to the spawn point even more difficult. Before you hop into a game, you can select various traits for your character. For example, you can be a Medic that can create Armor-Piercing Ammo for themselves and the team, and can also create shields. Overall, there are too many possibilities to name off, but you can think of it as a sort of Custom Class, like in MP. You also gain levels during the game. There are 30 levels per Prestige, and there are 5 Prestiges total. During your first time around, you unlock various items, classes, etc. until you eventually reach beyond the max level and automatically Prestige. You keep everything you've unlocked, but also gain a special slot for something called a Relic. Relics are like Death Cards from World at War; they modify the game for you to make it more challenging, but also reward you more XP for doing so. There are 5 Relics in total, and each Prestige gives you a new Relic slot. The more Relics you use at the same time, the more challenging the game is, but also more XP is rewarded. However, there is only so much I can explain. The best way to find out is to play Extinction for yourself. It's actually really enjoyable, and I'm sure you'd like it.
  5. Could you possibly take even a picture of all this?
  6. Well, they are implementing more of a story this time around, so I wouldn't put it past them.
  7. I'm with Way on this one. I haven't experienced anything like what you're describing, Beast.
  8. Also, I took a picture of the Verruckt loading screen (now translated roughly to "Research Labs") the last time I played.
  9. Hey Jess! You already know who I am, but welcome!
  10. Naw, I was mistaken. There are indeed difficulty levels that you can select. I just didn't know because they were in Chinese. The lowest difficulty caps out at 11, and the highest caps out at 16. I believe the one in-between ends at round 14, but I'm not entirely sure.
  11. Eh, I predicted that we'd only play as the O4 on the final map in BOII when TranZit was first revealed with the N4 and all that.
  12. MW2 on the PC is actually much better than it currently is on consoles. Very few players actually use Noob Tubes, I've found, and hacking doesn't seem to be as bad (despite my rank getting reset). It's actually quite an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, not many people play MW2 anymore, let alone on the PC, so expect to play nothing but TDM.
  13. Although it's fun and "new", you aren't really missing out on much. PS Cowboy is best because he starts out with Akimbo M9s.
  14. Ah, so THAT'S what those options on the bottom are for...haha I didn't know what they did on my account of knowing only English and some French.
  15. Man, it's so good to finally have this revealed. Infest has been working on this since about June, so it's great to see this in action. He came to me at around that time to provide some sexy pictures and information on the maps, as well as general suggestions. Hope you all enjoy this! P.S. It wouldn't be a proper frontpage without some Easter Eggs.
  16. Unfortunately, I cannot right now. I think they're hidden behind a file, but at this time, I simply can't open it. :/
  17. Figured I'd post my analysis of the game mode from the Frontpage article here for further discussion. Better than creating a whole new thread.
  18. Back in my day, it was Round 666 on Nacht Der Untoten. And on round 500 Zombie Dogs would appear! (This was long before Shi No Numa and the Hellhounds.)
  19. I remember hearing about this from one of Grill's friends a while back, actually. She was trying to get the "Fire Knife" and we had no idea what she was talking about. I guess that this is it. Either way, I'm thinking this is a glitch, like the elemental PhD Flops.
  20. No, this is just another myth told from lobby to lobby, like Zombie Hitler. The characters don't have any special traits.
  21. Four new medals have been added to the site! Verruckt Approved-Have a topic approved for the Asylum. New! Maxis' Assistant-Complete the side quests in Black Ops II in favour of Maxis. New! (Cannot obtain if you have the "Richtofen's Servant" medal.) Richtofen's Servant-Complete the side quests in Black Ops II in favour of Richtofen. New! (Cannot obtain if you have the "Maxis' Assistant" medal.) 115 Day!-Made a post on January 15th, 2014 (aka 1/15 Day). New!
  22. You know Beast, you've got to be the only person I know who's actually experienced bad lag with this game. Everyone else has stated that the netcode this time around is superb, and they haven't noticed any extreme lag whatsoever.
  23. If you're reading this, then congratulations, you have no or few medals! Unfortunately, when we switched to the new forum software, we lost all of medal data. Although we have added the medals into the new database, everyone's medal collection has been reset. Some people have had some of their medals awarded, but not all of them. If you are missing medals, click here to go to the Medal Request Thread or send me a PM to re-request your medals. Just state that you're missing some medals and we'll award them to you. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully, the new forum makes up for it. -Flammen
  24. Doesn't it look all shiny and amazing, everyone?! Enjoy and love it as we do! And big thanks to Craig for making this happen!
