I was just about to post this. It's just a reskinned Nacht der Untoten with perks. Looks good, but so far, it's nothing super new. Also, I HIGHLY doubt this will have anything to do with the main Zombies storyline.

The best solo loadout would definitely be Weapon Specialist with Armor, Armor-piercing Ammo, and Vulture.

Well, there's only one map so far, so I can't see there being a big story already being established.

Even if this isn't related to the campaign, there's still the fact that the ODIN missiles struck the Earth. Why did the ODIN missiles strike in the first place if this isn't related to the campaign? It wouldn't be because of the aliens, because they were unearthed from the strikes, which implies that these aliens weren't a problem originally. I'm leaning more so towards this being an isolated set of incidents after the prologue mission in the campaign.

Ahem. STOP COMPARING EXTINCTION TO ZOMBIES Extinction is NOT Zombies. It is not trying to be Zombies, and it is very little alike Zombies. It is its own game mode, and should be treated as such, instead of being judged on how it is like Zombies. Extinction is a fast game mode that does not outstay its welcome, whereas Zombies is slow to start, then builds up, gets fast, then dies down when there is nothing left to do but circle zombies around. At least Extinction doesn't devolve from an exciting experience into a monotonous game of Snake. It's a fun game mode, and yes, there's not many maps, but that WILL change. I am getting sick of hearing people compare the two when they are nothing alike.

So, I got this in an email from Call of Duty about Extinction. Seems like it does ties into the campaign, after all.

Those forums have been discussed for a while with the staff and is currently still under discussion. There will probably be a clearer answer come launch time for those consoles. That's all I, and the staff, can really say on the matter.

Actually, the PC port this time around has been shown some love. Infinity Ward stated that the graphics on the PC version would be substantially better than the console versions. There are also talks on finally re-implementing mod tools.
