  1. They remembered things from their childhood. I don't know how they could all have a large, random portion of their memories wiped. Just doesn't seem likely to me.
  2. I'm thinking some sort of archaeological area, probably pertaining to the Vril-ya or...
  3. Maybe, but World War 1 was a pretty big deal to most people who fought in it. I'm sure that if any of them participated in it, they would have mentioned it somehow in Mob of the Dead.
  4. First of all, is that some Windows Black I see? Very nice. Secondly, nice find. I doubt we'll see our American mobsters in WW1 France, but Origins will tie into Mob of the Dead, I'm sure.
  5. This thread is now locked due to the enormous amount of flaming. Please refrain from taking things so personally in the future, LILNIG. This a forum. Not everyone is going to agree with you. That's how life works.
  6. Eh, I'm still leaning towards it being their primal colour. Unless it is explicitly stated in the map itself that someone is controlling the zombies, then I'll change my thoughts on it.
  7. They were used to basically channel energy into the Rift. Whoever "mended" the Rift basically got supreme power. At least, that's what I got out of it.
  8. I'm guessing Maxis. I have a feeling he is "The Doctor" referenced in Richtofen's letter.
  9. Well I was not aware the mobsters were considered the same as the N4...
  10. A lot of people hate them. A lot of people love them. What are your opinions on maps like Studio and Dig? Personally, I love them. I like having maps I know and love in the game I am currently playing. A lot of people say things like "Well, why don't you just play Black Ops 1 if you want to play that map?" Well, it's because I can't rank up my BOII rank on BOI, can I? I can't call in things like a Swarm on BOI, can I? It's nice to have maps like these on a game that can do really great things with them. PS I'm REALLY looking forward to Dig. Courtyard was one of the best maps from WaW.
  11. I'm really hoping that it'll be a real cinematic cutscene, with all four of them meeting up, ready to fight, and then bam, zombies and robots and Maxis. Oh my!
  12. That is most likely a glitch. I can't see Treyarch intentionally letting the player have perks without the power on apart from Solo Revive.
  13. Is that supposed to be a rule for this "theory"? Mob of the Dead didn't, either.
  14. 1. No one is (most likely) in control. These are just regular zombies with no master. They rely on their instincts and nothing else. 2. Actually, this is the site of the first unearthing of Element 115. Since this is also set during the first World War, there are plenty of dead bodies around to supply an endless undead horde. 3. Just because the four met up now does not mean they've stayed together since that time. Each one of them was on a special mission and just so happened to meet up, it seems. It is entirely possible they parted ways until they were inevitably brought back during WW2. Also, remember their memories were wiped prior to the main zombie outbreak.
  15. Well it's just strange that it changes to suddenly. I'm certain freezing rain doesn't go from snow to rain to snow to anything else, does it? I've never experienced it here in Canada. We're either too cold or too wet.
  16. Well, yeah, of course the colours of the box can switch between maps. Shi No Numa's was greenish-yellow, Der Riese's (and most of the other maps') was blue, and MotD was Red. Anyway, that's pretty neat. It's most likely because the regular colour (blue) doesn't contrast well with the skybox, which would make it harder to see.
  17. More specifically, please contact Strwrsbob when it comes to changing to the Donor usergroup. Mods cannot change a member's usergroup (except me, I can change who's UOTM).
  18. Your Side Quest progress resets after you press the button. The game has no way of telling whose side you did once you do that. I don't think who we chose to follow in the three other maps will determine anything super special in Origins.
  19. Does anyone else think those Tesla-coils are responsible for changing the weather patterns in the map? Seems odd to go from rain to snow to rain to fog, etc.
  20. That doesn't seem very likely, mate. It's wishful thinking, but right now, there isn't really any evidence to support something like that. Not to mention it would probably make the download size of the map pack too large by MS standards.
  21. Definitely France, but not Paris. I think that's quite obvious as to why.
  22. Now that I doubt. When an attachment is added to a gun, it's basically considered a separate gun in the system. Could you imagine just two or three separate attachments that could be added to every gun? That would take up way too much memory. It couldn't be just one attachment, either, because who wants a scope on every weapon to "upgrade" it?
  23. Hmm, maybe. Perhaps we can find attachments to the gun around the map and semi-upgrade it that way, similar to the Blundergat -> AcidGat?
  24. If it was made in Der Riese, I doubt it was teleported from there. Teleportation wasn't utilized until Richtofen made it so in the 1940s, and that was fairly limited at the time. Maybe the giant robot escaped or gained sentience? Or Maxis simply "rode" him to France to win WWI?
  25. Yeah, I think we'll see the inspirations for the machines rather than the machines themselves.
