Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
Flammenwerfer replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
Well, if the rockets displaced not only the plate tectonics, but also time itself, perhaps it is possible that our younger O4 will meet up while doing their respective "tasks". Heck, this map could be the reason Richtofen eventually chose them as test subjects some thirty years into the future. Fate has a weird way of working, sometimes. ;) -

Wow Treyarch, thank for this wonderful birthday present! The first note definitely has some links to Richtofen, and the second is Takeo's. I wonder if the other two will have some? Perhaps DLC 4 will be a true prequel. ;) -
[POLL] Favourite Playable Zombie Character?
Flammenwerfer replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
My favourite of all time is Nikolai, hands down. He's hilarious, badass, and drunk as hell. -
Yeah, most side quests allow for you to do them up to a certain point. After that, it becomes impossible. I'm sure this is nothing different.
-
Have you pressed the button in the courthouse with three other people who have also completed all three side quests for Richtofen, and have also inserted their Nav Cards? Or, I guess, does the button show up at all?
-
Yeah, they don't usually address the "hidden" stuff. For example, they didn't mention the fact that when you complete a side quest on a map, its icon lights up in the patch notes.

I always thought it was a reference to Josh Olin. This one on the Bus Driver is really discreet. Maybe it's just a reference to...well, the older references? It's pretty strange.

May have found something BIG!
Flammenwerfer replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Fred is just trolling. That was the "leaked" photo that was being passed around before the game came out. PS It's indeed fake. -
I can definitely see our O3 + Samtofen coming back, but I still cannot see the map taking place in Paris. It's an idea that was tossed back and forth by Treyarch. If it was too anti-climatic in Black Ops, then it would most likely be anti-climatic in Black Ops II. However, I would enjoy seeing a map set in France. It'd be nice to get to just a basic area as opposed to these grandiose places. Also, I hope this map is dedicated to zombies. I don't think we'll be getting any old maps, but maybe they'll add new things to our current maps, ala Ray Gun Mark II? For example, Survival Diner, Grief Nuketown, Turned Cell Block, etc. I would really enjoy that, and I'm sure other people would too.

You know, I don't really know. I think your theory might just be correct. In any case, I really like the music.

The Rift after the Easter Egg
Flammenwerfer replied to MNM1995's topic in General Zombies Discussion
When I finished it with Maxis, it looked relatively the same. You know, apart from the violent shaking and such. -
Could the MP PaP Camo be DLC 4's As Well?
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Research & Development
Exactly. It looks like a brand new camo altogether. -
Der Riese didn't have a comic book page.
Flammenwerfer replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The first one isn't, because it IS a blueprint with objects around it. However, the entirety of Black Ops' version is a comic book page. You can see the crease go up and down in the middle. Plus, it looks like a "drawn" version of the original. -
Der Riese didn't have a comic book page.
Flammenwerfer replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
But there are other pages after Buried's. That 935 symbol is on a blueprint behind the comic book itself. It's not very likely that our next map is going to have anything to do with the map Der Riese. -
I usually call him "Big Dude," "Big Guy," or "Buddy."
-
When I first saw that image, I immediately thought MP40. However, this idea of a Mauser prototype...hrm.
-
It's not WaW's camo exactly. This one has gold highlights and isn't symmetrical.
-
Strange. This doesn't seem like something that would NEED a patch. I mean, is it really that game-breaking to have the ability to build the Trample Steam faster? I mean, come on, it's not like you aren't going to build it on that round eventually. This method just made it faster.

After playing Grief Borough for a while, I have to say that Cell Block is still my favourite Grief map. The addition of Juggernog and Wonder Weapons (besides the Ray Gun) make the game slower. The buildable traps, while nice, don't really emphasize the "griefing" aspect of the mode, and are still primarily used for killing zombies. This is in contrast to the traps found in Cell Block, which could be used to down both players and zombies alike. Borough is still fun, though, but it's much slower paced when compared to Cell Block.

Campaign Team Maps Question
Flammenwerfer replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Shangri-La? Now that's just absurd, my friend. Call of the Dead is still "up in the air" to me. I've heard those rumours too; I don't know what to make of them. -
Campaign Team Maps Question
Flammenwerfer replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Firstly, before Black Ops came out, the campaign team made EVERY map, not just Der Riese. That includes NDU, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Der Riese, and possibly Kino Der Toten if the theory that it was to be in WaW's supposed Map Pack 4 holds true. That is because a dedicated zombies team wasn't created until Black Ops. Anyway... No, there isn't any concrete proof that the Campaign team made Mob of the Dead. However, there is somewhat proof in the lack of involvement with Jimmy and the rest of the Z-team. For example, look at the trailer for Uprising. Where was Jimmy? Look at the "Making of Mob of the Dead" video. Again, where was Jimmy? Not to mention the man hasn't spoke a single word about the map. If the lead developer behind zombies hasn't said a thing about a specific map, then it can only be assumed that he and his team had no involvement with it. -
I agree with JMDogg here. It seems like a lot of people just have "new-stalgia" goggles on. It's new, so therefore, it's better than the last map. Objectively, MotD has been the best map so far, at least to me. It had more to do in it, and wasn't as super easy as Buried is. Buried is fun, yes, but it's certainly not the best.

Guys, there's no guarantee that the next map will be a 935 facility. Like I said, there are still pages left.
