Nuketown zombies layout/features thread.
Flammenwerfer replied to Zaptn.'s topic in General Zombies Discussion
Der Riese was a cut/paste of Nightfire with different textures/objects/etc... -
Did it take some time to get used to or were you able to just get in and play like it was nothing? Were mass amounts of UAV's/Ghost a problem like in previous games?
-
I believe he means this:
-
What primary weapons did you use? And which did you like the most?
-
Sure, it's only Grief mode but we'll still be getting some gameplay!
-
Man, the most memorable part of Black Ops for me was Project Nova. It felt so good to play back in the days of WWII with Dimitri by my side this time. It just felt so awesome throughout the entire mission, like it was an homage to WaW. I loved WaW. PS I hated how Dimitri died. I had never been so angry with a game than I was with that scene.

In the official achievements?
-
Hmmm that map reminds me a lot of a certain map from CoD 4... ;)
-
I have a feeling that Green Run is the uber secret map. I mean, when Black Ops 1's achievements were leaked, we read content from the two hidden maps (Pentagon Thief and DOA), so I wouldn't put Green Run out of the question.

Nuketown zombies layout/features thread.
Flammenwerfer replied to Zaptn.'s topic in General Zombies Discussion
Here's a map that I made up real quick. Legend: Brown = Buyable entrance Black (line) = inaccessible area Black (X) = possible zombie spawn point Lightning Bolt = Power Switch Because of the angle of the map overhead, I had a tough time truly showing what I'm thinking of. I also pictured an underground bunker, with both sides of the map having entrances to it. PaP would be located down there, as well as the rest of the perks. Posting the link itself to prevent it being cutoff by the post. http://oi49.tinypic.com/2ykg9qd.jpg -
Personally? I really like the idea. I myself have been a player that primarily uses their primary weapon, and little else. It's great that now I can ditch my secondary weapon and equipment to get more perks and attachments. Really like this.

THE ORIGINAL FOUR WILL RETURN! (In "some form")
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nuketown Zombies isn't a preorder bonus...you're thinking of Nuketown 2025. NZ is special edition only right now. -
Eurogamer, david vonderhaars presentation and emblems
Flammenwerfer replied to punkrockzombie's topic in Multiplayer
They reused like, what, two icons? Get over it. Besides, they're awesome icons and an homage to the past games. Also, yeah, a lot of games reuse things from previous games. Why put in 100 extra hours of work when you can take something you already have and make it better? On topic: This is the best Prestige icon list yet! And...is that last one...a zombie head? -
Richtofen is Release Trailer
Flammenwerfer replied to killerussian's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's not Richtofen. Also, 8 player mode is only available in "Grief." The other modes Tranzit and Survival feature 4 players. The Bus Driver's hat is blue: ...and "he" doesn't have any arms. It's an automated robot or mannequin with a pre-recorded tape. -
How big will the survival maps be?
Flammenwerfer replied to The Way of the Ray's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm hoping they're at least as big as Der Riese. I felt like that map had the perfect size to it (hell, the map was perfect). But, from the looks of things, it seems like these "areas" aren't as big. But hey, it's a trailer! You can't tell everything from only two minutes! -
Nuketown Zombies Thread
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
As I said in my post, it is not a pre-order bonus. It's an incentive to buy the special editions, like the Classic Zombies map pack for Black Ops. -
Hey guys, thought that there should be a Nuketown Zombies thread until we can get a separate board for it. So, yeah, let's try to use this thread for things Nuketown related. NOTE: this kinda bugs me, but you will NOT get Nuketown Zombies for pre-ordering. As of now, it is only available in the special editions. I know this seems like common knowledge but there are still people who thing that Nuketown 2025 also translates into Nuketown Zombies.

Hypothetical for you all regarding the new charas.
Flammenwerfer replied to Tridalo's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I apologize. I misread the thread. I'm just sick of people saying that since the old characters aren't in this humongous map that we'll never see them and it automatically sucks. -
Hypothetical for you all regarding the new charas.
Flammenwerfer replied to Tridalo's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That's a pretty big long shot. I mean, how would they even be able to? They don't have the crazy Richtofen and his smarts to help them do something like that. Why is it so hard to accept that we'll be playing as 4 new characters altogether? I for one love the idea of seeing how the rockets and zombie apocalypse affected the regular people. We're seeing it through the eyes of other people, and that's amazing. -
Actually, you're right. I believe in the Joystiq article, Lamia said that the Assault Shield is a buildable weapon.
-
I personally want to play as Hipster.
-
Tranzit is the campaign. Or, like you said, a giant map composed of smaller maps connected by a road that you can take the bus on or walk on. Grief (4z4) will take place on one of the smaller maps. Same with Survival (the "classic" zombies experience.)
-
Umm...no? This is exactly like Dead Island and Left 4 Dead. Geez, you've been a real negative man. How exactly is it like L4D and Dead Island? Because it has a campaign mode now? Which, in my opinion, isn't even a true campaign mode because you'll still play it the same way you would any other map, albeit this one is a bunch of them combined together into a mashed potato dinner of amazement?
