How the hell do people do this?! I have yet to see the perk bottle!! :'(
-
No!!!! I hate that guy!!! I dunno if I hate him more or worse than George Romero...probably more. Yeah, def more. Waaaayyy more.

I don't think it's a matter of IF there will be a Map Pack 4, it's what's going to be in it. Either W@W Maps finally released or a new map. Unfortunately, I've got a bad feeling that it's going to be a new map. However, I'm not counting 3arh out! New map would be awesome, as well :P

I'm going to have to say as is. I really like what they have going in this map.

Excellent post!! [brains] for you! I've wondered about this. Maybe it's not the Max Ammo that triggers it, could it be power being turned on? Or perhaps you have to buy a perk before it will spawn the Perk Bottle? Perhaps defeat a Fire Zombie or Shrieker? Past a certain level? Or it could all be purely random. Either way, you've disproved with proof that it's not ONLY when a Max Ammo is dropped.

I like this theory! Wish I had more to contribute, but I'm headin out the door...

I have the same thing happen every time I play split screen and we turn on power. The game like...stalls...for a minute, then goes back to normal. Freaked us out the first time b/c we were having a really good game

So... Any good character quotes in Shangri La?
jimbob200521 replied to ZombieOfTheDead's topic in Shangri-La
Tank when trying to buy a perk without enough money: "Screw you!! I've killed enough Zombies this crap outta free by now!!" -
It's in the Super Secret gun room, next to the AK-47, Stoner, DG-2, PPSH-41, and MG-42 Sorry, wishful thinking on both our parts lol just another gun to add to the "I wish it was in there" list.

Would love for someone to try this!! That could be a huge time saver, brains if it works! :P

Wow...I feel all kinda of special right about now

First, on the loading screen, we all know that a prior page was for Ascension. What is important is that it appears to me that there is a page in between that map and Shangri La that is half torn as well. Could this mean another map between Shangri La and Ascension? I've circled what I'm talking about: Next, in this video, there is a water tube in the cave by the MPL that you can interact with. I haven't noticed any changes around the map when I turn it, but it can't be there for nothing. Thoughts? http://youtu.be/EQpKXHPAhog

For solo, all I do is run a circle around the whole map usually starting around spawn on one side of the bamboo spikes. They make great buncher-uppers haha I've also seen a video of someone (MrJohnBasedow?) running a circle in the room that the water slide runs out into. And heard of people running circles at the bottom of the water-fall. That's about all I've heard/seen. I'm sure guides will be out soon, if not already. Hope this helps!!

Is it possible one switch powers one half of the map or something goofy like that? There has to be a reason for two switches, unless 3arh decided to be bigger douches than they already were (no solo EE) and put two switches in there to mess with us.

Reason there might not be a solo easter egg
jimbob200521 replied to Mr Dr Prof Richtofen's topic in Shangri-La
They could easily give you all perks minus the already offered 3 Quick Revives. They could find a way. Not including a Solo Easter Egg is just BS. -
Tough question, but I'd have to say CotD. Reasons why: -Feels like a bigger map to me. -Slides are fun, plus more perks. -If you get killing George down to a science, you can easily and consistently have all perks. He's not so bad once you figure out a system that works for you/him. -Better EE Song -No teleporter pads to link up, giving you (IMHO) easier and usually quicker access to PaP if you don't want to open the whole map up. This always annoyed me about Ascension, as I would buy Jugg but try to leave the rest of the map closed b/c I didn't want to expose the monkeys to the rest of the perks I was getting for free from them. But box moving, need/want for PaP meant I had to, and keeping 3 or 4 perks with Monkeys without them touching them...near impossible. Monkeys are probably the biggest reason for me choosing CotD over Ascension.

Wait, what?!?! So if you keep Quick Revive every time, you never die..?
-
So after playing all of 4 games, I found the map actually kinda...easy. Once the whole map is opened up, I make sure I have Spikemores. I basically run a lap around the entire map, getting a large group together and picking off the occasional straggler. I then lead them into the bamboo traps by spawn which is perfect for putting them into an even more bunched together group. Set a spikemore on the other side of the bamboo trap (a bit away so it doesn't go off too soon) and watch the mayhem. Repeat on your way through the other bamboo trap, and violla!! If that doesn't work, when they bunch up in the trap, it's the perfect time to unload into them because they will all be right on the other side of the bamboo trap unable to attack. Hope this helps!

Anybody know if there is a way to do it on solo? Because if not, this map will be sorely disappointing...not much of a point in it if you can't do it on solo in one way or another.
-
Round 23 solo. I've found a method that works for me that can get me to whatever round I seemingly want lol I ended up screwing around and getting hosed.
-
Perks move randomly, that is more than likely Jugg. There are lots of new posts popping up on the home page with info. If there's a new perk, I'm sure well know soon (I don't think there is).

They die easily!

I totally disagree with the exception of the song. It did kinda suck. Something long term I am worried about, however, is the variety of zombies. Nice at first, but could get old. You have regular zombies, shriekers, fire, monkeys...

All I can say is so far the map was worth the wait and all the speculation. GREAT running map, decent layout, but no new perks, that I've seen. They may move, though. I only played one game so I can't confirm this. Power is interesting, I didn't get to ride any rail cars, but I did get the new Wonder Weapon second box spin. I never thought turning zombies into midgets then running over said midgets would be so fun!! !!!Helping hints for new players!!! 1) Fire zombies suck. Don't get close to them, they will burn you. The only way I as able to kill the first one that ever spawned for me was to take him into water and kill him, but he explodes when you kill him, which downed me. Learn from my mistakes, kill at a distance lol 2) The maze, look for one section of wood planks when first entering, then follow from there. Just as easy as it sounds, and actually quite fun 3) Shrieker zombies, same effect as fire zombies when killed, explosion can harm you but seemingly easier to kill. 4) Power is two switches, one next to the other. Confusing, but all there. 5) Confirmed perks: *Jugger *Stamin-up *Quick Reload *Dead-Shot *PHD Flopper *Quick Revive *Double Tap 6) Monkeys never stole a power up from me, then again, I didn't get many dropped...sorry...not much to report on monkeys just yet 7) When you leave spawn, on either side, bamboo will shoot from the ground, but it is NOT a trap. Just slows the zombies down. 8) Claymores are now called Spikemores and cost 1000 off the wall a few doors into the caves. 9) Perks move similar to Shi No Numa. 10) 3 Meteroite pieces to activate song, locations soon to come. If anyone has anything to add, post it and I can update the original post. I'm trying to make a central point for what we know. That's all for now, I must slumber for a few hours, but I'll be back on to add more info before too long.
