Big things I noticed in the zombie trailer
MysteryMachineX replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yes, because a post that is just "No" consists of only 2 letters, which violates the typical forum rule of creating posts that actually contribute to the thread in some shape or form. -
GKNova6, something that has been overlooked.
MysteryMachineX replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Well, the possible option is that on Moon, every time you go to area51, you travel into the future, and the setting in BO2 looks like 50/60's cause there were no people after these times, cause the rockets hit the Earth. But I personally don't believe in that. Oh, and then the concern is - so what happens in COTD? Well, the answer is in my signature. That's not a possible option. If you were to go to the future, it'd already have been on fire. The truth is that it is completely normal UNTIL you blow it up. Only THEN is it on fire. That means it occurs on the SAME timeline as the Moon. -
All Current World Records For Black Ops & W@W Nazi Zombies
MysteryMachineX replied to Shooter's topic in Black Ops
Also, I don't have the videos, but I suppose I could find them, but I'm pretty sure that the Black Ops Nacht der Untoten Solo World Record is 57, that the Black Ops Verruckt Solo World Record is 115, and that the Black Ops "Five" Solo World Record is something like 108. And I found all of those just on this site... -

We never know if we are time traveling from Groom's Lake to the Griffin Station. I am sure that Ascension and Five are at the same point in time, and I guess that the action in BO2 Zombies takes place in 70/80's, just like parts of the campaign. COTD is indeed present time, but with Shangri-La, you can travel in time within the map, so that's a point why we could explain why Moon takes place in 60/70's. We don't know how the crew teleported from S-L to the Area51, so they might as well time-travelled. Nothing says that Shangri-La is in present time. It's 1990-present. Call of the Dead isn't present either. It's 2011. We are NOT time traveling from Area 51 to the Moon. As when you blow the world up, Area 51 blows up. That proves that they are in the same time. It is spatial teleportation only. The group likely used Shangri-La's teleporter to teleport them to Area 51. Richtofen is handy with those things. The Soviets never successfully landed on the Moon. The Space Monkeys were in... yes, space. Not the moon. -
Black Ops Reflection: Map choices
MysteryMachineX replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Ooh. I'd like to do this too. Your personal favorite map? I like "Five", because it is unique among the maps. The characters are historical, which gives that nice retrofuturistic look even more extravagantly than Zombies usually does. The map is also significantly harder than most maps, making it a challenge. Also, since it comes with the game, it was always my favorite to play with random people when I feel in the mood for a chuckle. Least favorite map? I'd have to say Shangri-La. It's nothing personal. I love all the maps. It's just, it's hard to find an excuse to play Shangri-La. It's just so hard. Nacht der Untoten is on relatively the same scale, but Nacht der Untoten is classic. On Shangri-La, I'm always demotivated to play because of how soon I'll die, compared to the other maps. Best part of Black Ops? Expansion of the Zombies mode. Best designed? I think Moon was designed the best. It really was a culmination of everything we had seen prior. Most fun with drunk friends? I don't drink. Favorite challenge? I like doing the dual double-barrel shotgun challenge on Nacht der Untoten with friends. Funniest moment? Hm... humor... Not much comes to mind... There's probably something, just can't think of it. Most annoying boss preventing success? This is a slanted question. The only bosses are George and the Pentagon Thief. And just because of the bias, I choose Pentagon Thief. Creepiest place? Verruckt. All the screaming and crying everywhere. Eery instruments. Creepy setting. Uck. -
Countdown to zombies trailer!
MysteryMachineX replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The madness is a part of Richtofen, as he is mad both before and after the soul switch. Although you know something I find humorous? Richtofen could, if he had wanted to, which he obviously didn't, just walk out of the MPD? He might've had to mess with the computers, but he could've done it. Whereas Samantha is a creepy girl in a creepy Nazi's body, Richtofen would then be a creepy Nazi in a seemingly ordinary girl's body. -
Will elite go into zombies?
MysteryMachineX replied to CrimsonZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm pretty sure Elite will be in Black Ops 2. When I pre-ordered it, the GameStop manager asked if I wanted to buy a prescription of Elite for Black Ops 2. -
Countdown to zombies trailer!
MysteryMachineX replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Since you choose to continue without giving a reply, let me extrapolate. Jack Sparrow invented the idea of the savvy, charming pirate. He does crimes similar to that of the fairy tale Robin Hood, stealing from the rich, just not giving to the poor, besides himself of course. His most heinous misdeeds do not even match those of Richtofen. Richtofen has done more crimes than anyone else in Zombies. He makes Nikolai look like a saint. He had his own testing clinic, where he tortured and probably killed at LEAST 13225 patients. He CREATED the Zombies. He attempted to kill Maxis and Samantha while laughing maniacally. He joined the Illuminati "for sport". He tortured Tank, Nikolai, AND Takeo. He brainwashed his closest allies. He practically enslaved a peaceful village in Shangri-La. He joined the Nazi army. He betrayed Group 935. He had ambitions of ruling the world. He RULES the undead. He adores pain and blood. He killed the Mexican. He is a schizophrenic psychopath! He is a villain, not even remotely comparable to a pirate. EDIT: @Stop mocking me0: Yes, that is what induced his madness. But the question arises, did it create it or only stimulate what was already there? Either way, he is who he is now. What you propose is for him to turn into something else. We might as well have said in 1939 that maybe Hitler will turn into a nice guy. Richtofen's evil now, and there's nothing we know of that can make him flip back. -
Countdown to zombies trailer!

Jack Sparrow didn't murder thousands of people in cold blood. -
I think the main reason for her voice change was that [Development Reason] it had been a long time and they needed a new voice actor. [storyline Reason] in Aether, Samantha had great control over her voice. She could choose to sound sweet or demonic, which she did on many occasions. But when she was transferred to Richtofen's body, she still had her sweet yet demonic voice, but not the same manipulation; she is restrained by Richtofen's vocal chords.

Countdown to zombies trailer!
MysteryMachineX replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
:D But I disagree. I would vote for Doctor Edward "The Butcher" Richtofen as one of the most dastardly video game villains of all time. Nikolai, Takeo, and Samantha I think are the anti-heroes. They're all people who have done terrible things yet still fight for good in the end. Nikolai killed his wives. Takeo killed his family. Samantha killed the Group 935 rebels. Tank, while he did do some unnamed atrocities in the war, has done relatively negligable dark deeds compared to his comrades, making him seem to me as the protagonist of the series. The Zombies are the antagonists, but they are just minions of the main antagonist, Richtofen. -

Don't mean to be rude, but I think this was the better Verruckt trailer: wuVZGJxslqM -

You can just not look up how to do the Easter Egg... you're a victim of your own impatience. -
Has anyone thought that the bus might drive relatively slow?

Please trayarch no leveling up!
MysteryMachineX replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't think that that is a good idea. You should get SOMETHING for getting it, not just the title of "Prestige": that's just stuck up and stupid. First of all, I don't think they should call it Prestige. Call it something less superlative. Secondly, I don't think that it should have a regular tendency to erase your earnings, like Prestige does. Thirdly, a reward of some kind, mostly aesthetic, but I believe small tweaks to the gameplay would be acceptable, I think is deserved. -
Zombies release countdown and DLC news.
MysteryMachineX replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think you are doing well as is. Although I think some of the stuff you're adding is unnecessary, it's good to add too much than too little (assuming you correctly identify which ones are awry, and you have, so you're good). -
Eh. I think they are nice. I don't NEED them. I wouldn't exactly mind their disappearance if they were replaced with something else, as far as I know at the moment. As long as there is a story, I'm good. I do have to say though that I still think that the thought that you have to have some Easter Egg requirements to do the Moon Easter egg is just boondoggling.

Lol. Thank you.

Big things I noticed in the zombie trailer
MysteryMachineX replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
...? That's contradictory. If it is possible, who are you to say it won't happen. You could say that the odds are that it will never happen. But you can't be sure it won't happen. -
XP-79 from licence plate on trailer
MysteryMachineX replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks Shooter, that means a lot. I appreciate that. And I agree with your continuation of my point. viewtopic.php?f=67&t=18279 I have to say though that the Shangri-La / Mars connection has not been fully thought through yet. I'm going to start the thread back up when Black Ops 2 comes out. So I am proud of my storyline on Black Ops 1 standards, but on Black Ops 2 standards I am as clueless as everyone else. :P -
People quitting because they didn't get the gun that kills the most Zombies is ridiculous. If you take the Thundergun out, then those people will just cry over the current 2nd-most killing weapon, and then the third, and so forth. Don't ever try to appease the crybabies. Appease only legitimate concerns. Whenever I'm playing with someone and they get the Wonder Weapon first, I'm happy. I just get the Awful Lawton and end up reviving them a lot :P

Big things I noticed in the zombie trailer
MysteryMachineX replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
But guys. This is absolutely true, in Zombies, and in real life. Literally anything is POSSIBLE. Any scenario, no matter how obscure, can be deemed possible. It's likelihood that is the real decider.
