Can someone bring me up to speed with TranZit (Green Run)?
MysteryMachineX replied to EpicAnnihilater's topic in TranZit
EXACTLY. The Bus Driver was not programmed to go in circles. He had an error that makes him go in circles. -
I believe "The Rift" is simply, an actual Rift.

If the theory could be proven, it wouldn't be a theory anymore. Theories are about likelihoods, and yes, one theory can be shown to be more likely than another. For example, a person not seeing trees because intact trees don't exist anymore is a far more likely scenario than a person not seeing trees because he lived in a city. Cities have few trees, not zero. -
revisiting old question: free revive in mp zombies
MysteryMachineX replied to 83457's topic in TranZit
Richtofen has several audio quotes that seem to imply pity. Did this ever happening while playing custom games or on easy mode? Perhaps Richtofen's quotes of pity not only trigger but also take effect. I wouldn't know, as I don't really ever play easy mode. -
There's one flaw that I see in this theory. While it works for Samantha, Eddy, and Maxis controlling them as in playing with the toys when Samantha, Richtofen, and Maxis are in control of the zombies, how do you explain the devil in Mob of the Dead? I doubt that the devil came to visit to play with toys. The only other explanation I could think of for that would a far-fetched explanation of making an evil and deranged man came into their house to play with the toys.

Not everything has to be logical. It's called symbolism. It doesn't really have to make sense. Symbolism has to make sense. To say that symbolism and sense are mutually exclusive is missing the whole point of symbolism.

All things are considered canon unless you can definitively prove otherwise. For example, you can prove the DG-2 isn't in Kino, so quotes about the DG-2 in Kino are not canon. But quotes that are specifically relevant to the storyline but just didn't make it into the game are still considered, especially because they tie loose ends otherwise unraveled. There must have been a considerable amount of time passing between Nuketown and Green Run. After all, the Jumping Jacks had to EVOLVE. Not to mention other character quotes, such as the group never having seen a tree before. -
The future of Call Of Duty Zombies?
MysteryMachineX replied to 115Danii's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Please, that's a rumor that's been going around for a long time. Don't waste your time with rumors. They said that last time too you know. Zombies will be back. Just be patient. -
Most Disliked Character?
MysteryMachineX replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Marlton returns Misty's affection. Their levels of passion are just different. Misty's passion is on the surface, Marlton's is underneath. Marlton isn't like Misty. He doesn't hit on her in public. He shows his affection more subtly. But they're just kindaaaa busy at the moment. As for Billy, he is not a stone-cold killer. He is a remorseful killer. Killing is his job, but he has a life full of regrets that he just can't take back. -
One Reason Why You Love Every Map
MysteryMachineX replied to Delta's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yay an optimistic thread! I love every map. Nacht der Untoten: I love the simplicity of it. It makes for a creepy, quick, tough game. In Nacht, you WILL die. And you will die SOON. Verruckt: Easily one of the creepiest levels. Several times I have gotten spooked by a zombie sneaking up on me. The atmosphere is brilliant. Shi No Numa: Japanese zombies. Back in the day, that was a pretty big deal. I love their stances too. Der Riese: I love the retrofuturism that was inherent in this map: DG-2, teleporters, Hounds, etc. Kino der Toten: Zombies in the sixties! Woo! With Nazis in the sixties! Woo! Where is the chronological sense?! Woo! "Five": Killing zombies as JFK with a Ray Gun. Just... just... tear... Ascension: Black hole bomb! Call of the Dead: George is trying to kill the actors in a Siberian Nazi outpost! Shangri-La: Ancient modern temple with Richtofen's insignia. Genius. Moon: Fighting zombies on the Moon + Area 51 Nuketown: Loved playing a zombie version of a multiplayer map. Green Run: The Bus Driver is a robot, and he just yelled at me. Ha! Great Leap Forward: Who's Who! There's two of me? Awesome! Alcatraz Island: Fear my almighty spark! Resolution 1295: "You will stay forever!" - Sarah Faraday Excavation Site 64: (Panzer kills me) "Run guys!..... IT CAN FLY! IT CAN FLY! RUNNNN!!!!!" -
Yes. Most people find that a good thing. That's why the series has survived. As for your questions, I'll try to answer them as best I can with current information, data, and theories. Where did the towers that Rictofen wanted acitvated come from? They were built by people? If you've done the Side Missions, you can see that they are just a pylon, a radio tower, and a mining tower that are re-purposed for Richtofen or Maxis. Why does Weasel reference Nikolai in MoTD? We've had a lot of voices-in-the-head. We know that the devil was in control in Mob of the Dead, so perhaps he whispered into Al's ear to mess with him. What happened to the OG4 on Moon? Apparently they died and that was why they disappeared and Richtofen missed them. How did Samantha get to Agartha from Rictofen's body? Who said she left Richtofen's body? How are the OG4 and Maxis old in WW1, when they looked young in WW2? Maxis did body-swapping. As for the rest of them, I say there was a lot of experimentation involved, that the ones in WWII are brainwashed copies of the Origins originals. How is Samantha in WW1? Who is she exactly? Time travel. How did Maxis die in WW1, but a radio says he died on Moon? Origins is an alternate timeline. In the original timeline, he didn't die, but then meddling in the past caused zombies to come early and kill him. Where did Weasel go after he broke the cycle? To publish comic books maybe? Where did the OG4 go after they freed Samantha? They cease to exist in the current state. All's left of them are the toys. Are the toys sentient? It's a pure guess. One might think not because they're just toys. One might think so because we see Tank's point of view. Why is 115 blue in Origins? 115 is blue, purple, yellow, and red in Origins. We've seen these colors before. Apparently 115 can be any color. This is how the Perks and the zombies' eyes change color. Blue though seems to be the default color, the pure color. Is The Rift a portal to the dimensions? No, it seems to be a rift in the Earth's crust caused by 115. That can cause some zany stuff, but not portals (well besides that portal in the fountain). What happened to the CoTD crew? We're never told. They either died or they didn't. It doesn't really matter much though, since 10 years later the world blew up. How did the OG4 get from Kino to Ascension? Moon showed us the Pocket Teleporter, to retroactively give us an explanation for this, which had previously had no explanation. Is the whole storyline a time loop? Yes. Origins is messed up because of the future going to the past. Then at the end of Origins we're brought back to WWII. I think it is ingeniously written. This isn't a blockbuster movie. It's a game. It's not just a game. It's a series. I mean, look at other hits, like Doctor Who. Individual episodes and arcs are a hit, as well as the series as a whole. But trying to catalogue the whole series can make your mind explode. Zombies is a lot like that. A lot of small arcs built on top of each other. What makes a story is the medium through which it is told.

A future iteration of our characters could have gone back in time and THEN found these staffs, explaining why they went missing. You have to keep in mind that in the image they are wearing the symbol of Agartha, the Black Sun. It cannot be them from the past, as they would know about it. It cannot be them from the present, as they aren't. Therefore it must be them from the future. The ancestor argument doesn't work; they look exactly like the original characters. 1000 years have past, no way they could look exactly the same. The odds of that are less than 0.00001% I imagine.
-
It can't be their ancestors, as there literally was no such thing as Americans, Russians, Germans, or Japanese at that time. At best their ancestors would be Celtics, Slavics, Germanics, and Chinese. I think there is no possible way that does NOT involve time travel. Also, I think the staffs they wield are the original ones, explaining why Maxis was forced to make replicas.

ORIGINS | Secret Page Pieces Almost Completed | Need Help
MysteryMachineX replied to ImVarious's topic in Origins
Yeah, but he's only one piece away from finding them in-game. I think that should be encouraged, especially because it seems they have color-correction not present within the texture files themselves. I know someone else was looking into this, I'll go see if he found that particular piece. -
Most Disliked Character?
MysteryMachineX replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think it has more to do with how some people might get annoyed at her talking a lot and constantly bugging you in Origins. I personally don't mind it, but others might. As for the Weasel, people feel sorry for him. Usually happens when you're murdered. -

I'm surprised to see people dislike Samantha. Apparently someone didn't get a Max Ammo  -
Whats your biggest shortcoming?
MysteryMachineX replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I revive too often. I'm not good at calling it when I shouldn't revive someone. Almost all of my downs are from dying while trying to revive. Sometimes I don't revive for the good of the team, however it isn't my forte to make that call. And the thing is, if I'm reviving people a lot, that means that no one will be available to revive me. : / -
No problem. I think your best bet with that would be to go to youtube and search for videos where people uploaded the character quotes. You'll find dumps of ALL the quotes, not just the ones you're looking for. But I think that is your best option. You'll have to sit there and just listen through them.

viewtopic.php?f=100&t=18279 In my storyline thread, I included their conversations. The ones you are referring to are what I have called the Shangri-La Crew Dialogue. It starts on P60. All it really is is the characters talking to each other about the side mission.

The future of Call Of Duty Zombies?
MysteryMachineX replied to 115Danii's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I believe the next Zombies installment will come exactly when expected. The form it takes? It could be anything. Black Ops II essentially "wiped the slate clean". It is exactly what they had to do with a story this complex. To keep it going, they must start a new arc to the story, one that could have links to previous things, but you won't NEED to know what happened previously, that way new people can watch it. Take Doctor Who, for example. It's a show that's been running since the '60's. You CAN go back and watch it since the first episode and know everything about it. But you don't NEED to watch the first episode to understand the more modern series. Like that. -
Most Disliked Character?
MysteryMachineX replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The four soldiers and the four survivors were designed to be stereotypes. The original were stereotypes of nationalities. The new were stereotypes of social behaviors. Stereotypical American, Russian, Japanese, German, southern woman, nerdy scientist, paranoid nut, and old black man. I like all of the characters, and to hate the new is the same as hating the old, unless bias is involved. Honestly, I think a discussion about the most hated character is a bit disconcerting. It's disconcerting for it focuses on the bad rather than the good. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws. I think comments like "annoying voice" is just downright wrong. You might have an annoying voice. I get offended when people attribute it to Marlton, for I find similarity to myself there. People only think he's annoying because he uses big words and long sentences. I think evaluating the characters' worth based solely on the surface of the characters is unfair. My favorite is Samantha, but I cannot pick a least favorite. Here is my list of my evaluations of the playable characters: Oh and btw, the Panzer Soldat isn't a character. It's a species. That's like saying the Denizen of the Forest is your least favorite character, as I'm sure that would win a lot more votes.
