  1. Tank and Richtofen specifically shout "Look, it's a Beacon". Or something like that. Look in the uploaded quote files if you want to hear it. Plus, that is its actual function. All it does is attract zombies and missiles. And it's code-name is homing_beacon.
  2. What's bad though is that he does... in the cut content. They just never made a trigger for it. Although in its defense, it really does help solidify how Richtofen pretty much ditches them. Then in Buried it's like "Oh? You're back? This is weird."
  3. This can actually be quite useful. If you run out of Beacons (yes, that is their proper name), then you can switch for Monkey Bombs, and not have to rely on a Max Ammo. And if you run out of those, you can switch back to Beacons. Or you can just at the end of the round spam the Box until you get it back, kinda like Monkey Bombs and Molotov Cocktails back in Der Riese.
  4. I think those are the original staffs, and them being taken is why Maxis had to make replicas of them.
  5. Thank you. I had to reassemble it myself in photoshop.
  6. I think the portals are of a similar nature. I think the Denizens were man-made, given by the secret underground chambers with cages and Soviet and American technology. A less convincing argument could be made as to how such things could exist naturally. The difference in whether we are allowed to jump through it could be explained either by time, intelligence of Agarthan zombies, or inability of Denizens. The generators are actually called the 115 Conversion Generators. They convert 115 into a liquid. 115 isn't naturally a liquid, so the conversion releases a lot of energy. That is what the blue stuff is. 115 in its purest form seems to be blue, by the way. The blue stuff in the Ray Gun and DG-2 were not liquid, however. They were plasma.
  7. I thought you might be interested in this, Naitrax: "primis" is Latin for "first"
  8. Element 115 undoubtedly has a lot to do with the Zombies storyline. However, it seems to something of a miracle substance. It has gone by many names. Science calls it Ununpentium. Maxis called it Divinium. It is possible that vril and 115 are one and the same. It is even possible the same goes for this xerum 525 stuff (I don't know too much about it, to be honest.)
  9. I think it was a good thing. With what they did with the Agarthan zombies, they finally explained how the Denizens were able to create portals. Maxis in an audiolog details the portals, saying the 115 brings forth objects from other places in time and space. A teleporter is essentially a time machine without the time travel. I think it all fits rather cohesively.
  10. Saying such things disregards literally everything. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The "it is just a game" mentality is actually the lack of evidence, as it literally throws anything that can be considered evidence out the window. That mentality fails to even explain the one thing it considers canon, the ending cutscene. He has a plan? How do you explain that? The majority answers with "I don't know" or "I don't care". Quite frankly, anyone and everyone have always had the choice to not know or not care. This ending is no exception. Throughout the Zombies storyline, there have been dozens and dozens of references to time loops. Samantha uses the word "loop" several times in Origins. There is evidence to say that everything is real, and if the best counterargument is "your evidence doesn't count"... then I don't see intellectual discussion forthcoming. If the argument is "It is obvious it is just a game", I can honestly and confidently argue back that it is obviously not.
  11. Paradoxes are not unique to Origins. Time Bomb anyone?
  12. Good post, Alpha. Lots of thought-provoking stuff. I think that this is Samantha from Moon, but that's just me. There's no direct evidence per say, but there is a lot of indirect evidence. For one, she knows a lot of stuff about the main characters that she shouldn't otherwise know. Two, she says she's been in there "a long time". She says she has seen the past and the future. And she talks often a loop. But here's some things you might find interesting. Tank, Nikolai, and Maxis are eager to free her, although sometimes her anger can be off-putting to them. Takeo is apprehensive about her true nature. "Are you an angel? Or a demon?" (something like that) Richtofen out-right distrusts her, going as far as to say that Agartha is just a myth and isn't real (despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.) The thing is, to me, any demonic traits she might have are indistinguishable from the Samantha we know and love, as Samantha was quite demonic herself.
  13. [site went down while I was typing. Fortunately I screenshot-ed my message:] ["The" is cut-off]
  14. Exactly what I was thinking, Jokr. No offense ZombieGK, it is just that they read as if Treyarch wrote them. So... did Treyarch write them? Where did you get those bios from?
  15. Huh. It looks like Samantha to me.
  16. In addition to one-per-team Wonder Weapons, the M2 Flamethrower, Ballistic Knife, Crossbow Explosive-Tip, and Death Machine are also one-per-team. (Just clarifying)
  17. This happened to me as well. : /
  18. Lol, Infest. And then what? Every time you shoot it you ring a bell and fly into outer space back in time? (just kidding)
  19. Wow this is awesome! Guys, I don't own a smartphone. Could someone please download and then send me the link to some of the files? Particularly these ones: A Way to Begin.mp3 War Machine.mp3 Final Light.mp3 Madness.mp3 Project N115.mp3 Analog Data.mp3 EDIT: Thank you :D
  20. You have made some very solid points, and I agree completely. The "it's just a game" mentality simply does not work, for it establishes that only the cutscene is canon, yet fails to take anything within the cutscene cohesively, failing to make any sense of it, for there is a lot within the cutscene that is a bit, as you say, extraordinary.
  21. This isn't surprising, as a developer wouldn't bother modeling something that would never be seen. This doesn't, however, from a storyline-perspective, mean that nothing is in the shelter, for by that logic Kino der Toten only has one wall on the outside. Still, knowing how rumors spread around the place, good to you for essentially disproving any kind of crazy rumor about the shelter, like there being a Ray Gun in or something. Thank you.
  22. I just wanted to add that all guns when upgraded in Alcatraz become partially gold. Parts of the gun get the satanic camo, but the remaining parts that don't get that camo gain a golden tint to them. So if you upgrade the Ray Gun normally in Alcatraz, it will become half-golden, if that is any consolation. But so does the M14. And the B23R. And the RPG. And everything else that appears in this level.
  23. Is it? It's not like we trained martial arts to get it. We are given a glowing ball, and THAT is the One Inch Punch. I consider the ability to One Inch Punch the weapon. In fact, isn't the point of martial arts literally to make your body a weapon? Especially when you consider that you drop the Knife in lieu of the thing. That's just my thoughts on the matter.
  24. I'm on the fence about that. I mean, sure, non-discrimination sounds wonderful and everything, however, it is a fact that if you plot x versus y, causalities can ensue. Rank, mic, even gender are not immune to it. For example, statistically women have hearts that weigh less. Stereotypes are very bad, I agree. However, one must objectively remember that relationships can exist. For example, a single-bone-ranked player may be a great player or a horrible player. But given how the ranking system works, I would wager that if one were to plot the relationship, a causality of single-bone-rank to bad player could appear. I'm not going to argue about what relationships exist, but I do suggest that people on both sides of the argument keep an open mind. Does a category automatically subjugate those within it? No. Does it mean that they are automatically immune from it? No. My belief is that each person is allowed a judgement based on his or her own actions. While a predetermined category might give me a personal impression based on statistical relationships, I can never know for certain who you are until I know who you are.
  25. They actually do do that, but only for ranged weapons. Everything else, it is an enigma.
