It's also in-map That's why he said "also".
-
Very cool! Adds a whole new twist to Nuketown! I knew this map would change our perspective of everything.
-
I wouldn't consider a shriveled corpse with its head chopped off the "real" Maxis anymore than a skeleton represents a person as they lived their life. Maxis is to remain a disembodied voice to us, apparently. Btw: "I did not remove your brain without good reason, Maxis." - Richtofen
-
Lol. I wonder if the MP40 and AK74u have different Pack-A-Punch versions.
-
But really, the best way to kill him is to shoot him in the head. In fact, I've never killed him by not doing that. His face is his weak spot.

Origins EE "Little Lost Girl" Written Steps + Staffs
MysteryMachineX replied to Ehjookayted's topic in Origins
"Ultimate Staffs" may just be an alternative name of the staffs. It may just be that you have to as an individual player obtain all of them at some point or something like that. I'm just saying. Don't want to see people going on another "second route on TranZit" scenario. But best of luck to you good folks for doing what I find to be a quite tedious task of working out the Side Mission. -
No problem! One more thing: When I was doing it, lightning bolts continuously kept hitting the Wunderfizz Orb even when it was stationary, effectively allowing everyone to know where it was at any given time (as long as the generators were active).
-
Yes, the Wunderfizz Orb vanishes in a lightning bolt. It also reappears in one. So if you see another lightning bolt, that's where it is. The only problem is that the Wunderfizz Orb will only reappear once the designated location is activated. So if it goes to an unpowered generator, then you will not see a lightning bolt UNTIL you power up that generator. So in essence, if you see a lightning bolt, you know where it is at. If you do not see one, then you know that it is at a generator that you have not powered up yet. Not 100% confirmed, but I just spent 20 minutes in theater and I'm fairly confident in it.
-
Apparently there's a new Perk: Teddy Bear Cola. It's a Perk that makes the Wunderfizz Orb move away, like the Mystery Box (btw I made the name up, don't take that seriously, but it does actually have a Teddy Bear on it)
-
Well damn... They might just include every perk in this map through this machine What's it called again? Der Wunderfizz? Sadly not Double-Tap Root Beer, though. (Imagine having both I and II.) Is Vulture-Aid Elixir or Tombstone Soda in that machine? I've only seen Double-Tap Root Beer II, PhD Flopper, Deadshot Daiquiri, Mule Kick, and Electric Cherry.

Maxis got "sick" when the zombie "evil" came about, according to Richtofen. Richtofen lobotomized him, taking out his brain. Then the brain was put into a machine. Maxis says something along the lines of, "I'm alive! Thank you my friend. But wait, I can't feel. I can't touch!" Richtofen THEN says "Don't worry Maxis, I will put this right." So maybe later Maxis gets a new body? It would explain why he was so old in 1918 but not in 1945. Different body.
-
So that is why he carved out his brain!
-
Lol, Electric. I'll pass you a weapon while I'm at it, alright?
-
But that's my point. I don't think the alternate reality thing is true either, but it is a possibility. I was just illustrating that in Zombies even the most basic of things can never be said to be confirmed.
-
Correct! If this is an alternate reality, then it isn't actually the original characters. It is a mirror reality with characters very similar to ours but not the actual thing. Nothing is confirmed.
-
I hate the phrase "confirmed". In Zombies, nothing is ever confirmed. Just saying.
-
Just something I'd like to contribute: If you choose Richtofen in Buried, people say he gets ultimate power, but this is actually not true. At first, it appears he gets ultimate power, but it turns out that his power is still limited. For example, he expresses disdain that once he entered Samuel's body, he is unable to leave it. He shouts "This is not how this was supposed to end!" and "I almost forgot how not fun it is to constantly have to kill zombies!" (or something like that). Richtofen is still the most powerful being in known existence at that point, however, he is still unhappy. But isn't that a trait common to a sociopath? Always unhappy, always wanting more.

Origins Achievements (UPDATED: With Icons)
MysteryMachineX replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Origins
I agree completely. Gameplay comes first. Then story. -
Okay, so here is my submission:
-
I find it amusing how people will argue about the shape of a blood pattern on the wall or discrepancies of what they perceive as the storyline yet guns are so easily cast aside. Guns should be a factor into timeline theories. They should only be discarded if there is no reasonable alternative. That goes for anything when deciding canon. You only mark something as non-canon when given no choice.
-
The thing is, an alternate timeline has too many holes in it. I mean, the many worlds theory allows for anything that can be to exist. So why stop there? Why can't she actually be an octopus working for Aperture Science named Samantha? In an infinite amount of possibilities, we end up with another almost exactly the same except two completely different people from different lineages to have nearly identical personalities... It's just unlikely. Like literally, a 1/infinity chance, or a 0% chance. However, that's undefined, really, so... Math doesn't help much here.

Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
MysteryMachineX replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
Only three days to go! I'm excited :D -
Might as well explain why there were zombies in WW1, or why there was a thing called Element 115 that can reanimate dead people... As far as guns go, it has never been very consistent. Even Maxis is claiming credit for creating the Mauser, which looks just like the real-life Mauser C96, which was produced in 1896. Plus we're getting 2025 weapons from the Mystery Box anyway, so it's not like we can complain much about anachronistic weapons. I feel like that's a challenge. I accept. :P
