Origins - Intro Song (Shepherd of Fire)
MysteryMachineX replied to MF_MaxiMillion's topic in Origins
Why was this stickied? Should we go back to "Five" and sticky a video of Eminem's "Won't Back Down" or Mob of the Dead and "Rusty Cage"? -

Thank you. Well, the site was down for several months... So... yeah... Ha ok, I know how that goes. Great post though. What do you think about the Gersch purple color? Does anyone else think his right arm and fingers look metallic, not like bone? They seem to be smooth and shiny. And he's holding the head of someone in a gas mask, maybe one of the 935 excavators? When teleporting, you see swirls for a moment. You could say for a split second you travel through the Aether. So the idea of the Gersch Device's vortex having ethereal energy would not be far fetched considering the fact that the device is also a makeshift teleporter. -

Lol gona have to update that sig. of yours MMX! Lol I'll wait 'til the map comes out. For all we know this might be like yellow eyes in Mob of the Dead. MMX has made some fantastic observations in regards to what the purple color could mean, I'd highly suggest checking out his thread on Ethereal Energy. Really nice post over there (he needs to post it on this forum though! ). Another purple device is the Gersch Device in Ascension, which also causes teleportation and might be a portal into the aether. Thank you. Well, the site was down for several months... So... yeah... -

Thanks Grill. Perhaps purple is default? Who knows? We'll find out soon! :D -
The 1996 sign in Die Rise.
MysteryMachineX replied to TheRealMistyBriarton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Open your eyes Misty. You're blinded. The entire world was blown up at the same time. This means that any data found in Nuketown, Green Run, Great Leap Forward, and Resolution 1295 details the world as it was before the nukes hit. All of those maps also, besides Nuketown, detail the post-apocalyptic scenario layered on top of that. Therefore, Nuketown, Green Run, Great Leap Forward, and Resolution 1295 all contain data that can pinpoint WHEN the world was blown up. Now here is one point of logic. If I have a camera from 1910 and a camera from 1920, what time am I in? The answer is 1920 or beyond. If I have a camera from 1910 and a camera from 111049250, what time am I in? 111049250 or beyond. If you have an object from the past and an object from the future, you MUST be residing within the future. The one and only exception was if you took the camera from 111049250 back in time to present day. However, entire cities cannot be taken back in time, so that point is moot. 1. TranZit has a sentient, emotional, artificial intelligence with a computer brain and a GPS navigational system. 2. Marlton wears a watch from the 1970's. 3. Marlton is very much aware of how the 2020's guns work. 4. TranZit's Power Facility houses technology that visually appears to be similar to that of the 2020's 5. Die Rise contains the Jin Mao Tower, dating from 1998 6. Die Rise has a poster that says "Since 1996". 7. "Since" in posters is used to indicate a long time since, such as Macy's or the Farmer's Almanac 8. Flatscreen monitors appear in the first room in Die Rise. 9. Jumping Jacks are "evolved" descendants of the Gas Zombies. 10. The zombies in Die Rise are wearing unique SDC outfits fit with logos. 11. A poster in Die Rise depicts a man that looks like Tian Zhao from the SDC. 12. Die Rise is in China, Province 22, a division incorporating Shanghai the hasn't existed yet. 13. Die Rise contains a multicolor LED fridge with radio, weather, and traffic. 14. Die Rise has an International Zombie Center. 15. Guns in all these levels are futuristic. 16. Ray Guns and Sliqufiers appear in Studio. 17. Nuketown loading screen depicts a nuclear spacecraft, currently existing only in theory. 18. Buried contains a modern-day mining operation. 19. Buried's intro depicts Broken Arrow as a skyscraper in a big city with a sidewalk and taxi; modern. 20. TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried contains digital NavCards. 21. Samuel and Misty say "I put the F U in future!" and "This is the future", respectively. 22. Reasoning that these maps are post-2025 prevents ALL non-TimeBomb-related paradoxes. -
Containment?!?Eradication?!?Experimentation?!?
MysteryMachineX replied to BriggzyJ97's topic in Origins
Thus far in the storyline it seems to be a combination. They try to eradicate them, but they only get them to small numbers, not zero. They contain the rest, but ultimately they end up experimenting with what they've got left, which often will lead to another outbreak, for the cycle to repeat. Just look at "Five" or Area 51. -

And who is the one who brought it back up? Why would you do that? Now I am compelled to respond. All I'll really say is that he is insane, and could say anything to amuse himself and to make other people uncomfortable. That said, it's likely he is gay and mean those quotes, but since it really doesn't matter anyways lets get off that subject. Like I explicitly told you. If we can argue over age or nationality, we can argue over orientation. It's not different. It is simply a characteristic of a character. Although orientation I would THINK would come easier to people. >.> But like I ALSO said, people can be blind if they choose. They can ignore everything I just posted if they want. So, I have indisputably proved he is gay. If people wish to "pretend" otherwise, I can't stop them. But I'll stop here. -

I agree with MMX here, Richtofen is obviously homosexual. through I am not sure where him having a boyfriend in college came from? "I like the Spectre because its barrel is nice and long... just like my college roommate!" And Skyline, you couldn't be more wrong. Richtofen hates children. "Stupid Americans and their apple pies and baseball and children." And let's see, some more quotes: "Aw, Nikolai, thanks. And you don't smell as bad as usual. There." "Nikolai, I am coming for you! As... going to your location!" Nikolai: I'll be big spoon, you be little spoon. Richtofen: Shhh. Don't tell anyone. "They have these big half domes with a hole on top, kinda like a big... forget it." "The energy flows! Oh, it flows on my face!" "Oh I love it when we come together.............. Um, what were we doing?" "Maxis will no longer be able to get his filthy hands on those balls... those oh so wet balls." "Let me just probe you with my Hacker." "Make those balls wet you wh*re!" "Ah those spikes hurt so good!" "Look, Nikolai, a waterfall! How romantic!" "It's so wet, and slippery, and fun! Just like you, Nikolai!" And let's not forget Tank: "-kick your *ss. So get your finger out of mine!" "That's not a lever Richtofen!" "Rectalfan." -

His orientation means as much to the storyline just as much as his age. And if you guys hear DOZENS of quotes from Richtofen that show he is a homosexual and still refuse to accept what is right in front of you, then there is no hope for you. Nikolai: What? Richtofen: Never mind... gorgeous. -

Technically he could be joking, he is pretty insane and could probably just be doing it to piss Dempsey off. He had a boyfriend in college... And he and Nikolai were practically a couple. He's not joking -
Richtofen was crazy without Maxis... Really. He seemed quite...normal before the MPD incident. Maxis had nothing to do with the MPD incident. Richtofen built a teleporter of his own volition. Richtofen went to the Moon of his own volition. Richtofen touched the MPD of his own volition. And let's not forget that prior to that he was a back-alley plastic surgeon / Nazi that loved dead things.

jet gun vs. paralyzer. What did they do wrong?
MysteryMachineX replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Jet Gun is amazing. Paralyzer is amazing. TranZit is amazing. Buried is amazing. People are spoiled rotten. That is all. -
It's possible. I don't know. I'm a bit nervous about what this map is going to try to do. It reminds me of the Mortal Kombat series. They had a, what, 10 game series? It then ended at "Armageddon". And then the main character sent his consciousness back in time to the very beginning. And the next game had him trying to prevent the previous games from ever happening.
-
The pods are containers for the Armeeuntoten. Richtofen specifically says that they contained it. What are those? CONTAINERS.

While you're making good observations, I'd like to point out that through their Origins trailer, Treyarch has basically told us that the Rezurrection re-dos of the original WaW maps are to be taken cannonically. So the remakes override the older versions. That being said, I don't think we should consider the original two Zombies maps (Nacht and Verruckt) in WaW to mean anything at all for our storyline or our understanding of Treyarch's world of Zombies. The colors of those maps, with Sam or not, mean nothing. Unless you're talking about the versions we play in BO1. That is not true at all. While I wouldn't out-rule such an idea, to say that that is certain I think is wrong. Current evidence makes it IMPOSSIBLE for that to be true. However, whatever this new map brings could "overrule" it, so to speak. I mean, Call of the Dead didn't appear in that trailer, and the characters WERE THERE for certain.

Hey I'll do a transcript of this one since no one has done it yet: March 2 - 1918 My leadership and victory at the battle of Muken has been brought to the attention of the Emperor himself. I have been instructed to meet with him on a matter of great importance to our Nation. Perhaps the Emperor recognizes the continued importance of the Samurai traditions, even in there times of great cultural change... Though I cannot explain why, every step I take towards my target brings with it a growing sense of dread. I am haunted by twisted dreams that seem to grow increasingly vivid with each passing night. Perhaps the spirits of my ancestors seek to warn me of a dark, uncertain future... Takeo -
The idea of a random cool-down time in itself I think would be confusing. Players would just be like "Why can't I move?" I think if they were to add effects like dizziness and disorientation, it would be better. But it can only last a few seconds or the players themselves would get dizzy and the Power-Up would be avoided.
-
I suppose but the difference here is that in science, you can't wait and just expect new info to pop up. But here we KNOW we'll be getting the right answer in 12 days, or at least a closer-to-right answer.

C'mon guys...We're in Future Zombies. This is where we're supposed to speculate and let our imaginations run wild. So what if we're disproved when the map hits...we would have at least gained more knwoledge through open discussions with each other. This is a good thread that I don't want to see die because prominent members are advising against speculation. Who cares if what we theorize turns out to be wrong. It's not a contest to see who's right. Because it is pointless. "A quest to search for the truth that is undoubtable incorrect." What kind of mission statement is that? In an effort of uncovering the storyline, pre-map speculation almost always is a setback. People latch onto extremely incorrect ideas that spawned before the map came out and were subsequently disproven abruptly. Speculation is one of the largest causes of misinformation out there, right next to some Youtube users.

FEAR RUVA! What, no not again!!!!
MysteryMachineX replied to Wooodd's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I feel like this is like a Dora the Explorer video game. A lot of work goes into making it, but it will never be nor never can be appreciated. The effort is tremendous, but the output is... underwhelming. -
You mean 1946. Or 48+. Not that reasonable. You obviously haven't been around any 48 year old Marines.. They'd kick your ass with ease. Russman is 80+ yet he can kill zombies. But you know what? He at least LOOKS 80+. The original characters literally re-used the models of previously existing characters in the WWII campaign, most of which were in their 30's, not 50's. The idea that they are in their 50's is not one forthcoming. The characters appearing here in roughly their 20's in 1917 forces us to accept the UNLIKELY idea that they are in their 50's in the other maps, based only on pre-map evidence. And pre-map evidence is simply a term for speculation. So if you want to get snarky, please save it until the map comes out, okay? Okay.
-
Thank you. While the idea of yellow being default despite Samantha seems promising, I'd hold off of sticking to the idea until the map comes out.
