CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!
MysteryMachineX replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't know if it is permanent or not, but I still have it to where I lose only one Perk upon downing. It just won't go away. I did Maxis, not Richtofen. Make of it what you will. -

It's fine. The confusion is why I pointed it out. :) -
What do you value the most
MysteryMachineX replied to BriggzyJ97's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Weapons. Some are unique, so if I am to get the good ones, weapons. Anyone can go buy Perks afterwards. Besides, if you go down for whatever reason, you can't rely on Perks anymore. Whenever faced with a decision of "Do I buy Perks or guns right now?" Be careful not to overload on the Perks side. Because if you go down you're pretty much dead. -
Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
MysteryMachineX replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
This note makes no sense. There's really no use in doing anything with it until we get more information. The Doctor is a nickname for Richtofen. However, Richtofen was a young (gay) man in college around that time, from what we know. Maxis and Richtofen were colleagues, not really friends. All that can be said is that Maxis did at one point trust Richtofen. But that's it. Treyarch is poking fun at us with this, teasing us. "This actually does make sense. You just don't know how yet." - Treyarch right now : P -

CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!
MysteryMachineX replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I noticed an error. You have the "Iron Barriers Persistent Upgrade". However, there are TWO Persistent Upgrades that have to do with steel barricades. One is the Steel Barriers Persistent Upgrade (or whatever you want to call it) that allows you to rebuild steel barriers. Info for that can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=136&t=27477&p=266266#p266266 The other one is the Carpenter Persistent Upgrade, which rebuilds a bunch of steel barriers in a Carpenter-like fashion, good only for a one-time use (lest you keep getting it). But they are two separate Persistent Upgrades that are not related except in simple similarity. -

The UNanswered Questions of BO2 Zombies
MysteryMachineX replied to Infected115's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I still believe the portrait was the Mexican. It just fits. Anyway, I just thought of one unanswered question. It's Al's Nikolai quote. People have tried different explanations for it, but it's really just speculation. There is no real satisfying answer as to why Al knows Nikolai's name. (I apologize if this was mentioned already.) -
That's not true. Although the sound effects do blur together. (Sounds kinda cool to be honest). Same with the G11.

She was 6-10 years old when she was trapped in the MPD. The achievement in Moon is called "Cryogenic Slumber Party". Her body hasn't aged. -

MysteryMachineX replied to Tattoo247's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The MPD is the "gateway to the Aether". It's a device that allows us to connect to the alternate dimension. None of us actually set foot in it (bar split-second teleportation). I mean, the few to actually live within Aether are Sarah, Lucifer, the H*llhounds, and the Jumping Jacks. Not exactly role models. When Richtofen and Samantha were fighting over the Aether, they were more correctly fighting over the MPD in which housed Samantha's body which could be used to connect to Aether. They were fighting over a country, or even a ship to the country. They were fighting over the button to start the ship. Also, Samantha didn't age. Considering that she was born between 1936 and 1940, and we currently play in 2045+, her MINIMUM age is 105. However, that is just her body. Her mind was with her body until she reached the age of (minimum) 85. That's when Richtofen and she switched bodies. So now, Samantha still has the memory of 85 years, but she is in a 40~ year old body (Richtofen's). Richtofen has the memory of 60~ years, but he is in a 105 year old body that was cryogenically frozen to appear 6-10 years old. -
Awesome. So they finally fixed the slow glitch by changing what happens when you knife it?! Great find, Bin.

MysteryMachineX replied to Tattoo247's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Samantha's body is still inside the MPD. That never changed. Samuel could hear Richtofen in his head. That was just Richtofen talking into his mind. When that switches and makes Samuel the voice in the head, Richtofen's soul doesn't enter Samuel at all. It's still in Samantha. Richtofen always had the ability to control zombies at will. Now he can do the same to living people. Richtofen may or may not have full control over Samuel. Either he doesn't or he just needs, like he said, some practice. -

MysteryMachineX replied to Tattoo247's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Samantha's body is not in the Aether. It is in the MPD on the Moon. Richtofen's soul is within Samantha's body. The MPD then connects his soul to the Aether. He is dependent upon Samantha's body. Maxis is fighting for power, so they both fight over the same body. -
"Leroy" is just stupid and made up. Vonderhaar himself said it was made up. Anyhow, I call him the big guy because that's what Misty, Marlton, Samuel, and Russman call him.

Personally, I am very picky with challenges. I like challenges that actually make it fun. Challenges like "No Jug" to me might as well be called "Your time playing this game 50% off". Some good ones I'd recommend: Double-Barrled Shotgun challenge: Your weapons must be the Double-Barreled Shotgun and the Sawed-Off Double-Barrled Shotgun w/ Grip. Any first room challenge: Don't leave the first room. Camping in interesting places: like the Nuketown garage, Diner roof, etc.

Campaign Team Maps Question
MysteryMachineX replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You're twisting the facts. Back before Zombies, the campaign team WAS the zombies team. They were one and the same. Then Black Ops comes out, much of the team was laid off. Not all. Jimmy Zielinski was made head of a new team, basically. And there was a whole Zombies division. With Black Ops II, that division has grown. There's no proof whatsoever about this campaign nonsense. It's just rumor. And honestly, I find it highly disrespectful. When people are dissatisfied with a map, they go "I hate you developers" despite all the work they put into it. But when we get a map that really appeals to all of those people, and they love it, what do they do? Do they go "This map is awesome! I love you developers"? NO. They go "This map is awesome! Obviously someone ELSE must have made it." That's just a slap in the face. Realistically, the campaign team probably did help. But no more so on this map than any other. -
I heard some lately. His name is leroy. Her name is lucy. You can get permaperks. tedd drives the Bus. avogadro reanimated without a body. The warden was demoted to Security Guard. Jumping Jacks have nova gas in them. If you didn't get what I was saying, all of the above statements are false. I was stating other mistruths and rumors that go around that are blatantly and patently false.

Oh really? I didn't particularly care for Pareidolia (not into the metal craze), so I didn't notice that. Thanks!

DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
MysteryMachineX replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is exactly my point. People will find a pattern. Humans are stubborn. It doesn't matter what logic you use. They will find some way to draw a connection. -
DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
MysteryMachineX replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That's why it is apophenia. No matter what, people will make a pattern out of it and claim themselves successful. Treyarch could literally call the next map Bolshevik, but then people would use your kind of reasoning to say "Well that one doesn't count because it doesn't work for our agenda." I mean, wow. People complain about politicians, but regular people are no different... -
DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
MysteryMachineX replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Exactly. Flammen, it's not silly. It's just stupid. This isn't a theory. It's just apophenia. Why would you encourage them Electric? Look at this, when I take the first letters of the four original Power-Ups, I get: M-ax Ammo I-nsta-Kill N-uke D-ouble Points Therefore, the next map will have a brain Power-Up. Also, Albert Arlington's initials are AA. This means that he invented the AA battery. (sarcasm) -

I just want to say the the "flopper" persistent upgrade can also be obtained via splash damage, not just fall damage. I've gotten it on more than one occasion by just shooting myself with the Ray Gun. -
CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!

Good job AlphaOmega. However, there's one problem. You need to change "Deadshot Persistent Upgrade" to "Headshot Persistent Upgrade". It is actually nothing like deadshot in any shape or form.
