Yes, its usefulness isn't very great. The thing with Persistent Upgrades is that you need to get used to losing them. If you worry all the time about keeping them, the game isn't going to be any fun. It's just unrealistic to think you'll always be able to keep any of them. Try, sure. But if you fail, it isn't the end of the world. That already happened. ;)

Can the zombies kill you while in afterlife mode?
MysteryMachineX replied to Tridalo's topic in Mob of the Dead
Would you even notice a red screen since in Afterlife everything is blue? I think it doesn't matter. When you go down and get back up immediately, it is possible to have a looming red screen, but that's just because the animation of it fading wasn't done yet. -
Lol. I was once playing a match where one of the players was really bad. So I left them on the bridge that way he'd be their problem. I could survive on my own. (I didn't just leave. I said "I'm leaving" beforehand.) But when he saw the group split up, the guy followed ME instead of them. In short, never got to survive on the bridge that game, and he didn't last too long anyway.

The mobsters specifically talk about "what if" they had that weaponry, indicating that Lucifer plucked that weaponry out of its time, just like the zombies, Perks, etc. Alcatraz is an exception to the rule. You use Cold War weapons.... during the Cold War. Not that revolutionary. While dates may not be exact, general rule of thumb is that you use the weapons of the era in that era. But the controller of the zombies can pluck weapons out of time. I didn't know it was the Ray Gun. However, Samuel still says it. So. Maxis is on the Moon. Literally. His soul was sucked into the MPD. And the MPD was hooked up to Griffin Station. In effect, Maxis is Griffin Station. Well, he is the Griffin Station Mainframe. The only possible way he could communicate back on Earth through CPUs, radios, and television is through something such as thing, no way the technology present back in the past. So in 1996, China had fridges that had radio, traffic, and weather settings? But we know for a fact the world was blown up in the future. Therefore both Moon and Nuketown take place in the future. And by connection, Green Run. And there is no reason to suppose that there was time travel involved. Even if there was, Green Run being 2045+, Great Leap Forward would be 2045+x+, or, 2045+. Green Run cannot possibly taken place then. The stuff in Die Rise proves the world was blown up much later. Since the world was blown up before Green Run, Green Run occurs in the future. This isn't rocket science. It's sequential order. A then B then C. It doesn't take place shortly. Maxis says it takes place decades. Marlton was in both yes. But there was a difference of decades. You realize Maxis was searching for SURVIVORS? There was nothing to survive prior to the world being blown up, which, again, was in the future. Oh yeah, because Consolidated Coach Corporations is the equivalent of Group 935? I think not. @rise of takeo: I appreciate you believing me, however, you should not believe what the CoD Wiki says, and that should not be your motivation to believe me.

Oh really? I didn't know that. Thank you very much.

Can the zombies kill you while in afterlife mode?
MysteryMachineX replied to Tridalo's topic in Mob of the Dead
No, you can't be killed in Afterlife mode, but yes, you can be hit, which can be annoying if the zombie is in your way. -
Here's another: go to where there is a narrow, long pathway on the bridge. Stand back-to-back. Spork 'em all. Stop only to kill Brutuses. Works 'til Round 34.

What makes COD zombies special?
MysteryMachineX replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks guys (I always use that line when trying to convince someone to play with me in real life) -
How could I have not seen this post? We have zombie paraphernalia in real life. That doesn't mean zombies are real. An International Zombies Center I think is just a corporation built upon zombie survival skills that are popularized today by the media. It doesn't mean the zombies were an everyday occurrence in the future. The answer is that they aren't. Richtofen and Maxis have been trying this for at least 20 years now. We know this from their failed run in Jack*ss Flats and from the hinted Broken Arrow as well as the crying girl we heard in Shanghai. Stuhlanger and Co. are just the first successful group. Maxis inhibited Richtofen's power. Richtofen doesn't have a world of people to torture, just zombies. Meanwhile, I think Lucifer is slowly eating away at Richtofen; he can't handle it. As for Maxis's goals, that's a mystery, but they will supposedly save the world.

Oh, the Perk Reward. Well your decision was understandable. I was just letting you know that I believe there was an alternative.

RPB?

It's a glitch. End of story. People will go the ends of the Earth to try to prove that beneficial glitch is legitimate. (Oh but the non-beneficial glitches are always certainly glitches.) The animation was probably cut from the final game, just like the Astro-Zombie's glitched-out dancing.

What in the world are you guys going on about? I always leave a sprinter at the end of the round when I need to do stuff. (The trick is not to stand in corners... so you don't die.) About 2% of the time they die early. It's not that big a deal. The other 98% everything is fine. We get whatever we want and begin when we're ready.

I think you were just being impatient. Waiting has always worked for me.

What makes COD zombies special?
MysteryMachineX replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's not just a zombie game. It has history and science fiction in it. You don't just kill zombies. You kill zombies as JFK with a Ray Gun. Also, the game is endless. You can never beat it. Therefore, there's always reason to still play. -
You can just wait a few minutes for them to die and respawn.

I wouldn't consider those Wonder Weapons, but they aren't that bad an idea. I do think an Anti-Max Ammo Machine would be just as over-powered as a Max Ammo Machine. Perhaps a weapon that shoots a latch tied to a ball-n-chain? If you hit an opposing team member, they can't run anymore until it breaks.

I don't think it was deliberate to make the game punish you for performing a feat of quick thought and reaction.
-
I will argue that they are not the same person. There is nothing to suppose he is. Now, when the PC version comes out, and the quotes are released, I will listen to all the quotes. Unless there's a quote saying "Hey, look it is Ferguson, I mean Brutus" I will remain unconvinced.

People keep saying there's a moon, but I've done this many times, and all I see is clouds.
-
Even if he did say that, it'd just be breaking the fourth wall. Quotes like that are discarded as evidence. Or are we supposed to believe that Tank actually does have a Facebook page? (In 1963)

Dahniska is completely correct. That being said though, the Warden probably did to ritualistic sacrifices with the unruly prisoners. In fact, you know all those skulls all over the place? And those blue ones? How are the blue ones different than the others? Probably some satanic ritual with Lucifer and the Aether involved. And by collecting the blue skulls you get the Warden's weapon... not a coincidence.

Personally, this game will never be over to me. This will be a game I will keep for my children to play and my children's children, assuming I have children at all. Nonetheless, children of some nature. Children of the future. In my eyes, Zombies is this generation's Super Mario Bros. The only problem with that is my Xbox has to keep working >_> If Xbox Live goes out and I lose my maps... I. Will. Be. Furious.
-
We will probably never know for sure. But one thing I'm surprised no one has mentioned is what if it is Lucifer? They say the devil could look like a man like any other. What if Lucifer was once in Richtofen's shoes???
