  1. I understand some things need to be redefined. Wonder Weapon is NOT one of them. Everything Electric gives me an example, I can easily refute it. The simplest solution is to not change it at all. And the so-called agreement from the community is simply ignorance. People see a one-per-team weapon and think "oh, a Wonder Weapon" without realizing that Special Weapons are one-per-team weapons too. And you should never base the community on anything for factual reference, lest we start calling the Bus Driver TEDD again. And Electric, that's because the Spikemore was based off an existing explosive, while the Jet Gun is simply a weaponized plane part. It is not a Wonder Weapon if it doesn't shoot 115 prior to upgrading.
  2. ... Are you sure? I never believed any of that stuff. I would believe that you didn't need to. But I could never test it. Are you sure it is true?
  3. I figured I'd take a whack at this. People have said their remarks, some correct. Some incorrect I presume. But instead of reading and replying to all the reply-ers on this thread (which seem to have been quite detailed), I'll just answer what I think. 1. Lullaby for a Dead Man is from the Marines' perspectives. Always has been. 2. The Zombies NEVER say Sam, except in Der Riese when you throw a Monkey Bomb. People heard what they want to hear. It's part of being human. You play random noise to a person, at one point he'll think it is saying something. In Der Riese, they purposefully played on this. So the sound that people THINK is Sam has been around since the very first map, before Samantha. 3. The Teddy Bear in Call of Duty was meant to be an Easter Egg in homage for one of the developers' daughters, who died. Once the character of Samantha was created, they attributed the the Teddy Bear to her. 4. Richtofen seems to have gone by Teddy/Eddy. And he lies. The other stuff like Power-Ups and the Mystery Box are present in those maps as game mechanics ALONE, as they didn't realize the story implications so early on.
  4. You're bubbling down to opinions and subjectiveness. I would argue that a simple modification of a Claymore is just as notable as a simple modification of a Jet Turbine.
  5. Well then, are you suggesting that the Spikemore is as much a Wonder Weapon as a Ray Gun? I mean, you would normally find neither of them on the battlefield... Any way you turn, the definition only works if it fires 115. Spikemore was original, but it isn't a Wonder Weapon. And yes, that's been talked before: Ray Gun and Monkey Bomb.
  6. Hey guys, something I just found out. I had never used this imdb website, but apparently it is not 100% accurate. So don't be shocked if some of it turns out to be false.
  7. Hm, bagel, this seems plausible. Of course I'll hold myself back until the map actually comes out, but cool. This might come in handy.
  8. But I would argue the Sliquifier DOES have 115. And following your definition, the M2 Flamethrower would be a Wonder Weapon, since it could do more damage than almost any other weapon and was one-per-team. All three of the Black Ops II unique weapons fit the EXACT same criteria as Special Weapons. But the Sliquifier has 115, and therefore goes to be Wonder Weapons. Wonder Weapons 31-79 JGb215 Ray Gun Scavenger Sliquifier Thundergun V-R11 Winter's Howl Wunderwaffe DG-2 Zap Gun Dual Wield Special Weapons Ballistic Knife Crossbow Explosive-Tip M2 Flamethrower Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23
  9. I said you as in the plural general you. And NO Electric! You CANNOT just redefine things because you FEEL like it. There is already the category of SPECIAL weapons FOR A REASON. While we're at it, let's make the definition of a Wonder Weapon being a weapon that shoots lollipops??? Let's change the to mean an, and let's pretend it is opposite day! =_= The exact reason why we know it shoots 115. Well that and the purple gunk. Oh and the Marlton quote. Do we really need more evidence? You will never find such a link. Treyarch said no such thing. I think his research is wrong. In fact, we have much to say the Sliquifier is a Wonder Weapon that shoots 115. Mustang and Sally? C-3000 b1atch35? Just as notable changes. Like I said, one can believe whatever one wants, no matter how wrong it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Earth_Society
  10. This should be in the Grief section.
  11. To be honest, I just think it is a sound artifact, some combination of all the sound effects, ambient noise, Richtofen's mumbling, and the zombies. Why did Samuel say that? Who knows? People report all the time obtaining Persistent Upgrades but not knowing how they did so, what they obtained, or what it does.
  12. Actually Die RIse "wield NEW wonder weaponry.." And they called the Blundergat a WW in the BTS trailer. Yes, the Sliquifier. No, they never said that.
  13. The great thing about this world of ours is that you have the ability to form an opinion on whatever you want... no matter how wrong you are.
  14. How do you know that boss = warden?
  15. Electric, Treyarch has NEVER said that the map-exclusive weapons in Black Ops II are Wonder Weapons. Do NOT put words in their mouths. The Sliquifier produces 115 in a "state of matter that was, until now, purely theoretical". The Jet Gun shoots air. How is air any more wonder than the fire of a M2 Flamethrower?
  16. Isn't that green stuff 115? It very well might be. We won't know anything for sure until the map comes out! :D
  17. Words have definitions. You can change a definition, but you can't throw it out without replacement nor organization. These are all of the types of bullets that can be fired by any weapons ever: bullet 115 explosive arrow knife fire air Assault Rifles = bullets -> 115 Launchers = explosives -> 115 Light Machine Guns = bullets -> 115 Pistols = bullets -> 115 Rifles = bullets -> 115 Shotguns = bullets -> 115 Sniper Rifles = bullets -> 115 Special Weapons = everything else -> 115 Sub-Machine Guns = bullets -> 115 Wonder Weapons = 115 -> 115 Therefore this thing is simply a really good shotgun, at least from what we know as of now.
  18. Well given that Nolan North can do so many diverse characters and the fact that he did the Bus Driver, I think Brutus is going to be a NPC.
  19. It's not a Wonder Weapon sadly. Until we get the map, it'll be hard to say whether it is a machine gun, shotgun, or special weapon, but it is certainly not a Wonder Weapon. How do I know this? Because Wonder Weapons are weapons that shoot 115 WITHOUT being Pack-A-Punched. ALL weapons shoot 115 once they are Pack-A-Punched.
  20. That's why you shouldn't buy into the hype. When you bring yourself so high up, the only thing you can do is fall.
  21. ... You'd find rusted pieces of car covered in ooze if anything.
  22. Actually, I think the purpose of this thread would be better suited to being a haven of information for figuring out the Easter Egg when it comes out. That way we don't have 50,000,000 threads over the exact same thing.
  23. Actually quite the opposite.
  24. To be fair, nothing is known for sure until the game comes out.
