  1. I understand. We have different opinions. I wasn't thinking of Obama as the first black president, so I suppose that gives him an edge in notability over Clinton or Bush. But I still don't think that's a good enough reason to include him. Eh, oh well. I'd love to see more historical figures, but I'd prefer for them to bring past characters back to life, not current ones. I could just look at TV for current people. My opinion. However, I do strongly think Treyarch (at least currently) is going with custom characters. We already know of one (^ scroll up ^)
  2. I'm not claiming to be the first to discover this. But I did discover it and am trying to make sure the right thing is known. So you discovered it before me, but then why does no one know about this? Why does the official CoDz character Bios say "Kravcheski"? You are rather high-ranking, are you not? We must make sure the public knows of this error. And thank you guys.
  3. But those radios where recorded before he even MET the rest of the crew. When EXACTLY did he say that? The last Radio on Moon was said in 1942
  4. lol guys. Yeah, I joined the CoD Wiki long ago, trying to correct their false information. They just don't listen to reason. So then I came here.
  5. I disagree. It really sounds like a "z" to me. Yuri's first name begins with a "y". There's a distinct difference between the beginning of his first and last names. Change? Like events in the storyline? No. But they got the name of one of the sub-major characters WRONG! That is just sloppy. It'd be just as major as finding out that Gersch's name was Gorsho, or something like that. My main frustration is that it seems that NO ONE has stumbled across this. *shakes head* Sorry for my upsetedness. I just really hate the CoD Wiki.
  6. I was so frustrated when I found this. I found this when I was going through the Radios, trying to figure out my storyline. What I found is that some had been grossly mistranscribed. That was at least livable. What was extremely inexcusable is that Kravcheski is not Yuri's last name. It just isn't. His last name is Zavoyski. Yuri Zavoyski. Don't believe me? Listen to Ascension Radio 1 and Ascension Radio 4. Here is cjdog23's video; he has the highest quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88X95oXuI64&feature=plcp Go to 3:45 for Ascension Radio 1 and 4:49 for Ascension Radio 4. Make sure your volume is adjusted as necessary. I believe it is as clear as day. I blame the misinformation of "Kravcheski" on the Call of Duty Wiki. Every time a new map comes out, users flock to the Wiki to try to be the first at something. Naturally, quality of the articles decline drastically. So someone mistranscribed Yuri's last name, and no one has really bothered to check it himself or herself. I think this misinformation is inexcusable. Please post and comment to try to keep this thread up long enough to where people can see this horrendous error.

  8. Well while there isn't anything definitive, Sophia was strongly implied to be a human. He was attracted to her before he started losing his mind, at least before we found out about it. Don't forget that Samantha even mentions Sophia by name. And Samantha was just a little girl; she wouldn't understand computers.
  9. You mean playing as fictional characters from some other media? I really don't see that ever happening. Using celebrities, all you really need to do is get their permission. Using historical figures, all you have to do is be respectful, and not even that much. Using fictional characters, you have to jump through a whole bunch of hoops, legalities, copyright issues; not worth it from a developing point-of-view. And I don't think it a good idea to play as Obama. Honestly, he's only going to be in power for a few more year(s). By that time, it'll be the recent past. We might as well play as Bush or Clinton. It's not a good idea to make the game's notability so temporary. Not to mention, what if Obama doesn't get reelected? The game comes out November 11.
  10. Poo. Now that you say it that way, okay you win. That's what I wanted. An alternative. If you can think of something, then I dare you to think of it - all that stuff. I think the best thing to fill the blank is "shouldn't include". It fits the "-oved" sound, as well as generally making sense. "Dr. Maxis shouldn't include Americans in Group 935, no matter how much genius they hold." Now if we say "held" over "hold", then it no longer makes sense. However, due to Richtofen's accent and the noise in the Radio, I think that the one vowel difference can be overlooked due to the uncertainty, and that it should be interpreted as "hold" not "held". With this analysis, it can mean that there were Americans in 935, although I think there might not have been many. In fact, Richtofen might've suspected both Peter and Harvey to be spies due to being American. On the original note however, despite the minute possibility of Sophia being the voice, I think it is a far and unlikely stretch to include her in anything dealing with Griffin Station.
  11. You guys must not be that familiar with the "no matter" phrase.
  12. How much do I need to say it? The quote is as follows: "Dr. Maxis _________ any Americans in Group 935, no matter how much genius they held.[...]" Simply put something in there that fits. You can't just fit any old words in. They have to make sense.
  13. Play as Obama? That would literally be a 50/50 split. The Democracts would love it. The Republicans would hate it. More or less. As a producer, you never want to try to please just HALF of your audience. I think the only option for new playable characters are A. new custom characters or B. some more historical figures of the past. There's just so much past but only so much present. Perhaps some people from the '80's, but they don't have to be world leaders or anything. But C. I think is more likely, where they'll have some more real people, but their theme will be unbeknownst to us until we see them, and we'll be like "Oh, I never thought of that!"
  14. No, you're being absurd. Your insertions are NOT making ANY sense. I point out time and time again how they do not make sense. Your rebuttle is to simply insult me. Since you choose to insult me instead of actually have any actual attempt to fit something logical in (as I have said to try repeatedly), it is further proof that I am indeed correct.
  15. We have three sets of characters: custom, political leaders, and celebrities. The best custom are our main characters, ours truly. The political leaders were some of the most notable in history, special to that era. The celebrities were four (plus Romero) of the most suitable horror actors that could be applied to a Zombies game. They will stick in four miscellaneous actors in the game just for being popular as soon as they stick in four miscellaneous political leaders in the game just for being popular. Who wants to play as President Obama or Prime Minister Cameron? Woo! (sarcasm) Anyway. Celebrities have been done before. We need to move on to better things in my opinion. There's plenty of people from history (the past 12000 years). There's only so many people from this instant of time (2012).
  16. He could be. He could not be. There's really no evidence either way. Just postulations and speculations. I just don't stand for saying that he "is" a spy, as he was only a suspect of being a spy. Doesn't mean it was true.
  17. The amount of evidence I'd need is 1. Yes, there's evidence that Peter is an Americans spy. As in, his "AMERICANISM" was NOT known. And there is no evidence that Harvey was. Yes, there's the symbol, as well as Ray Guns, Teleporters, and Zombies. Reverse engineered. Means nothing more. Yes, you can do that all day. That's my point. Anyone can just stick something in there. But you have to make it make sense! Your first two made sense. Your third and fourth ones do not account for the "no matter" clause, which is incongruous. Not to mention that I provided the radio log itself as ripped by cjdog23, where you can clearly see it is not "at", it is "in". Like I said, you must fill the blank with something that takes into account the entire quote. "No matter" specifically. "Dr. Maxis was stupid to include [...] no matter [their genius?]"? That's basically what is sums up to. You are saying that Maxis included them no matter what genius they had? That makes no sense. You're saying he hired them without any regard to their intellect? What if the American was a moron? Hire him because he's an American? No. It makes much more sense to say that they WEREN'T hired no matter their intellect. What if the American was a moron? Don't hire him. What if he was a genius? Don't hire him. Don't hire him, no matter of his intellect. Filling in random words in a blank does not make them fit correctly.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hUm-p-DXSQ&feature=plcp 3:36 Dr. Maxis ________ Americans in Group 935, no matter how much genius they held. I listened to it, but the above is the most I am willing to budge. It does NOT say "at". As for the "-oved", that's really flimsy. Its distorted. Not to mention many words have different ways of being said, not to mention f's sound like v's. From that phrase, the only intelligable sound I get out of it is that the word ended with a d.
  19. No. The possibilities ARE endless if you IGNORE the entire quote. "Dr. Maxis ____________ Americans into Group 935, no matter how much genius they have!" Backhand? It is impossible to backhand someone into an organization. It's a slap. Follow? Maxis is already in 935. Tackle? Tackling doesn't put members into an organization. You have to find a word that fits into the sentence. Not just pick any word out of thin air. Look, I could do that too: Dr. Maxis doesn't poop Americans into Group 935 Dr. Maxis doesn't pop Americans into Group 935 Dr. Maxis doesn't sop Americans into Group 935 Sure, I put words in there, but do any of them make sense? Of course not. You guys can argue all you want, but unless someone gives an honest successful attempt at putting a verb phrase into the blank while considering the WHOLE quote, then I know that I am indeed right. EDIT: I know all about Harvey. And that is his two in-game mentions. I know people have their theories, but those are theories. This here is fact.
  20. +1 for spiteful post Again? Like a second time? I merely explained why I used it the first time. Way to take the quote out of context. "Dr. Maxis doesn't like Americans into Group 935[...]"???????? "Dr. Maxis doesn't want Americans into Group 935[...]"???????? Those make NO sense. It really isn't hard to see. Just try and fill in the blank to where there is grammatical sense. Remember, the verb phrase has to put Americans INTO Group 935, plus the "no matter" phrase indicates the verb phrase is negative. Just put something in there, and read the WHOLE quote and see if it makes sense. Unless you have any conclusive evidence that anything logically inequivalent to "don't allow" fits into the quote, then Sophia is not American and thus not a computerized voice in Griffin Station. And its MLA.
  21. Nooo.... Doesn't is not out the equation. Doesn't can (and I say is) still (be) there. Dr. Maxis doesn't allow Americans... Dr. Maxis doesn't let Americans... Same thing. It's not a missing word. It's a blank. A blank can be filled with however long the blank was, which was long enough for a verb phrase, not just a simple verb. So it can very well be filled with "doesn't allow" or "doesn't let". But I say I dare you to find any alternative, because I simply don't think it possible.
  22. My bad on the "doesn't". But that doesn't give you any right to edit the quote. The quote is: "Dr. Maxis [static] any Americans into Group 935, no matter how much genius they have." - Richtofen Everything I have said still holds true. What are you possibly going to say could fit in there? You can't "like" someone into an organization. Think of any verb phrase you want. I dare you.
  23. One can't like Americans into an organization. That makes no sense. Rationalize it in as various ways as you'd like, "allow" is the best fitting word there.
  24. Yes, it is multinational, with the sole exception of Americans. No Americans allowed. Peter was American, but had that been known he would not have been ALLOWED. Unless you're saying Sophia was a spy, then it doesn't work. [And Richtofen suspected of Harvey being one. It isn't confirmed whether he was.]
  25. Richtofen said Americans weren't allowed into 935. "Dr. Maxis doesn't [static] any Americans into Group 935, no matter how much genius they have." - Richtofen
