  1. Very good job, Infest. Your theory is very similar to mine. So I won't go too in-depth, as we are both in agreement. But three things I disagree on. One, the Mob of the Dead Perks. I believe the reason they flicker is because of the intervention of the controller, and that is why those Perks (AND ONLY THOSE PERKS) ever flicker, as nothing displaced in Origins flickers. Also, I think the zombies in the Crazy Place are Agarthan zombies. Vril-Ya were always said to be humanoid. But not actually human. That description fits these things perfectly. Lastly, I think there are four realms of existence: our universe, Agartha, Aether, and the Crazy Place. The reason is because we enter the Crazy Place but we THEN have to open the gateway to Agartha. So by transitive logic you can see that the Crazy Place is not part of Agartha. I think of the Crazy Place like immigration. Samantha even said the ancients "found a way to bridge the void". Any Doctor Who fan knows the void is the "stuff" in between dimensions. I think the Crazy Place is the bridge. In the long run, minor discrepancies. Good work, Infest!
  2. I made a post on this a few weeks ago, but it is good that everyone knows of the four different types now! Although when I tried it, the electric-flopping did absolutely nothing. I don't know why.
  3. I use God mainly for emphasis. And considering the Devil is an actual character parallel to Samantha, I think it is fitting. I believe the easter egg song that goes "I am a [bleep]ing archangel!" really emphasizes this too. But nevertheless I appreciate the support! There are many quotes which indicate cycles. Perhaps we should amass them? As for Samantha's Lullaby (btw, the one in Mob of the Dead is actually remastered to not include her sound effects), I think chasing that is chasing a dog's tail.
  4. Yeah, I am as confused about the ending as most people, but I am not going to try and convince myself that there is more to it just so I can keep debating until the next game comes out. Most people take it for what it is, and the only thing that gives us hope is Samantha's last sentence she utters before leaving the room. Still though, the figurines, toys and memorabilia was there for all to see, so are you telling me to just ignore all of that? If you want to take it for what it is AND explain the toys, then click the link in my signature. Zombies have always been about theories. The moment you stop, you aren't a true fan and don't even deserve to play it.
  5. It cannot be taking us full circle, because the bedroom is strewn with map memorabilia. How can we go on to play as the O4 or N4 when they were in toy form in Samantha's bedroom. It WAS all a child's game, and this is Jimmy's way of trying to either troll us, or backtrack on the sequence after seeing the majorities response to it. Yeah because a child's role model being a masochistic, homosexual, schizophrenic, homicidal, omnipotent, surgeon Nazi is the most realistic conclusion. =_=
  6. No, actually. The Templars weren't necessarily zombies back in medieval times but rather the 115 is reanimated the long-dead bodies of the Templars. However, then there's the Agarthan zombies which probably were zombies for a really long time...
  7. I definitely agree that there's something deeper going on here. And I agree that there are calm. This is why I think the cutscene depicts WWII, because at that time, air raid sirens were "normal". Going into the basement was "normal". I'm reminded of a scene from Doctor Who when the time traveller goes to 1941 and asks "Have you seen anything fall from the sky?" They all just laugh at him and go back to business. Also, Maxis's communication is rather archaic, fitting for a WWII scene. I mean, if you hook up an intercom system in your house, why not get some good speakers that don't have static all the time? Unless perhaps that hadn't been invented yet. Although still, I maintain the WHY of the intercom system mainly to be with her father's love for technology and putting it to practical use.
  8. I'm sorry. I made a typo. I meant to say that Bulwer-Lytton said the Vril-Ya were herbivorous. In fact, in the Coming Race, the reason he was exiled was because they thought his carnivorousness would spread to their race. Yet in the game, the zombies in the Crazy Place have huge teeth, definitely carnivorous teeth. I suppose that's possible. There's a definite connection between the two substances. Good work. :)
  9. At least for me, Origins upset everything we thought about the Vril-Ya. For example, he said they were carnivorous, and in-game you see quite the opposite, they're carnivorous. I don't think anything Bulwer-Lytton said can be taken with much accuracy anymore, sadly. From a story perspective, the things he wrote simply aren't true. But in Origins, we are specifically told that 115 has a lot to do with it. However, perhaps 115 and vril are the same substance? or two varieties of the same substance?
  10. Sorry for my late reply. Well the part about it not being a game I agree with. But as you know the rest I do not. Thank you, Misty. I will add that in the first post, if that is okay with you. @Mega: I admire your passion. Also, guys, got a new timeline for the first post.
  11. Lol. I agree.
  12. Very nice work Flammen. :D
  13. I think this is a sound theory. I wouldn't use the term "inner fears" but rather primal fears. Even a cockroach gets scared.
  14. I think it is just natural for Maxis. In fact, almost every time we've ever heard from Maxis, it wasn't his actual voice. Der Riese he spoke through radios. Moon he spoke through the PA. TranZit, same thing. Die Rise and Buried he speaks through speakers. And in Origins he speaks through the Drone's voice box. I think it is almost a running gag that Maxis speaks electronically. (Although when Maxis wins Buried he breaks that gag.)
  15. Well, the last map in BOZ was to be Paris. That is until myself & others made a lot of noise about the Moon. Treyarch love to harvest ideas from codz & put them in the game. This is one of the reasons Zombies is so successful because the developer engages the community for future maps. Take MOTD, myself & others been talking about a prison map for a very long time now. Regards Alpha. I don't think Treyarch usually picks any one particular idea from any one particular person and incorporates it but rather they amass community opinion. I do have to say though, that you were preaching about Satan long before MotD came out. So props to you for that.
  16. Err, actually they're converting it into a liquid. You can see it filling up the tank as the conversion goes... Yes, they are. That would be the "usable form".
  17. Still stuck in traffic thanks to a bomb alert on dartford bridge so cant supply the stuff i need. Operation shield is part of it, however Richtofen was referring to the Shield itself in Der Riese, its not just an operation name, alot of people miss some vital information from W@W and BO1 regarding it, its purpose in the facility itself, Richtofen and Maxis mentions different aspects of what the shield is, and is all up for speculation. However i believe the clues lie within the description of Element 115 and the AETHER Maxis talks a out in later maps. 2 main things i remember back from W@W i come up with through research, the eclipse helped semi prove that the shield (could) distort time / create a time bubble shield thanks to using the aether. Secondly i found articles related to the lunar eclipse that helps amplify magnetic / electron / particles which could explain why Richtofen chose to do what he did on a lunar eclipse Well if you want to talk about that, you might want to do what Mega said and make a thread on it when you gather your materials. Btw, guys, just heard an interesting quote from Samantha that definitively disproves the "it's just a game" crap. (Again, not a theory.) Samantha says "I just want to go home." Now why would she say that if she was ALREADY IN HER ROOM THE WHOLE TIME? I'm just kidding. I know logic isn't the best defense with that theory.
  18. Well then how are the generators excavating the 115? It's clear that there is some 115 found underground, or else there wouldn't be an excavation site to begin with. Perhaps a a large meteorite crashed there in ancient times, thus gradually going underneath the Earth over time. They're not. They're called generators, not... drills. No no. There is an excavation site that opened up a holy Templar site. Within the holy Templar site there were portals that lead to the Crazy Place, which contain 115. All 115 appearing outside of the Crazy Place is solely human intervention. By the time we play, it is all over the place. Also keep in mind that 115 comes in many forms. Keep in mind that the machines are called 115 Conversion Generators. They CONVERT. What do they convert? 115 is often in a gaseous state. It is probably taking 115 out of the atmosphere and into a usable form.
  19. The only problem with that is that 115 isn't found on Earth. =_= You either get it from extraterrestrial meteors or from inter-dimensional portals.
  20. Eh. We can dream, but I don't think this means anything. This is proof that the trailer had enhanced graphics, although you could already tell. This just proves what you could already tell by looking at it. It's not unlikely they just touched up some particular spots for second-long scenes for the trailer.
  21. I've thought that the shield is now active referred to in fact Operation Shield. I see no reason why they cannot be one and the same.
  22. Are you talking about Operation Shield? Otherwise, I'm with Mega and lost at what you mean by that. Thank you! I hope so too. I really appreciate the support Mega. I just think some people want to be upset by the ending. But thanks so much for your logic! Thats not a problem, il go through all my old files and theories i made copies n post the ones relevant As it happens i also came up with a theory during W@W and kino Der Toten where the original 4 are already dead (not in the sense that people now believe its a figment of Samantha's imagination or what have you) In W@W and BO1 terminal files it states people who come into contact with element 115 suffer from delusions, paranoia and hear voices and suffer other side effects, and that those who die who have already come into contact with element 115 then reanimate into the zombies. My theory was Tank, Takeo and Nikolai were dead before coming into contact with element 115, thusly they were reanimated, however not as zombies, they suffer from amnesia instead All the above was of course backed up by alot of INGAME audio files and such, but after the radios in later maps of Richtofen experimenting on Tank, Takeo and Nikolai who "couldn't remember anything" i kinda stopped working on that theory. Maybe i should dig through that again given the circumstances That reminds me of people saying that this is all in purgatory. Eh. Never was a fan of that kind of thinking to be honest. I regard theories such as that kinda like string theory. Technically possible but impossible to prove or disprove. I'm not sure if yours would be grouped in that category.
  23. Interesting. I didn't think of that. I think Mule Kick is of the same nature as the rest of them, as it still has the coal-powered apparatus attached to it. However, the predicament is strange. But when you think about it, the switches down there have to be powered by something too, yes? Perhaps something down there is emanating energy, and the Germans tapped into it. But it only works there, and the 115 generators are for power elsewhere.
  24. The songs released in the BO soundtrack were as follows: But still. This looks cool. I'll have to try to find a friend to download it for me and pay them because I do not trust iTunes one bit.
  25. Bottom-left is the dial from the temple in Shangri-La.
