  1. Activision is a company well known for enjoying money. They're a company; they have that right. They won't let a series die if it makes a bunch of money. They'll squeeze every last drop of money they can from it. And you know what I say? Go ahead. Take my money. I find the idea that Activision would drop a very lucrative series highly unlikely. The next map will likely be a resolution. Nothing more. Just like Der Riese. Just like Moon.
  2. While I normally call him Sloth, there hasn't been an official name given. I don't see anything wrong with Leroy. It's kind of a country name and he does look like he's from the country. And he does go charging into places like Leroy Jenkins. The developers specifically stated that while he has no official name, it is NOT that. And I honestly find it offensive to use such a name just because some big Youtube user told people to use it.
  3. If prominent members like you are going to call him such an idiotic name, it's no wonder such a large percentage of players get his name wrong. And here's another fact: the Ray Gun in Buried is different from every other Ray Gun in every other level.
  4. If you want to argue pointless crap, go do it in another thread or a pm. I'm not making this one go any further off-topic. I answered the so-called "unanswered" question. I'm done here.
  5. ALL weapons are more efficiently used with fired in bursts. It isn't unique to the Paralyzer.
  6. That's programming talk for I am right. It's a video game. There has to be some triggers for it. So they chose triggers that were very common. No different than if they had triggered it to come up when you do the hokey-pokey with the A button. He also doesn't mention anything about switching to his second gun. You are taking it WAAYYY too literally. Why don't we just go ahead and say the characters have a Facebook page? "Tesla" isn't lightning. It's a man and it is a unit of measurement. Neither of these things are present in the DG-2. It's a codename meant to individual the item within the game's files. That is all. Richtofen is controlling the descendants of the Gas Zombies.
  7. You only hear the sounds in the map with the Jumping Jacks. That's more than just a coincidence. You don't hear them while killing regular zombies. You hear them no matter what. Whether there's zombies or no. Whether you're standing or running. Whether you're drinking or shooting. You hear the sounds. What's the constant? You hear them only when you're around Die Rise, only when you're in the place that has the Jumping Jacks. And you're bending those quote much too far. He says those when fighting zombies. Regular, groaning zombies. And file names are rarely reliable. Tesla did not invent the DG-2.
  8. Someone made a post a while back about how the grumbling was the same sound clip from Kino der Toten's Gas Zombies. The Jumping Jacks are the descendants of the Gas Zombies. So it makes sense. This is why you only hear the grumbling in Die Rise. Die Rise was the only map that had Jumping Jacks. And think about it. Richtofen was controlling the Jumping Jacks not unlike the H*llhounds, spawning them from the Aether (or something of that nature). If Samuel is able to hear Richtofen's trans-dimensional voice, wouldn't it make sense he could hear the trans-dimensional Jumping Jacks too?
  9. I have yet to successfully pull this off. I've gotten the "press x" indicator, but but when going back in theater mode to slow it down, the "press x" just doesn't appear.
  10. Black Ops II made it more difficult to acquire names for the audio files.
  11. They aren't. However, this thread is just for discussing the hilariously fake promo cards that people try to convince people with, which is perfectly fine. What are you talking about? These are obviously true. I know cuz my dad works at Ninten- er-Treyarch. (joke)
  12. It was the Jumping Jacks in the Aether.
  13. It's been that way since Shi No Numa. They always have "clean" versions. (Well maybe not always but they did back then and apparently they still do now)
  14. This is awesome! Do you think you could acquire the big guy's and the ghost lady's quotes?
  15. No. It won't effect the next map. It might affect it. But it won't effect it. jk jk Seriously, it's a definite possibility. However, what is also possible is fatalism, that no matter who you chose it ends the same.
  16. He was killed near the MPD on the Moon. His soul went into it, just like the zombies' souls do. But Maxis's soul had a different fate. His body was dead. Where is it now? Probably a half-decayed corpse on the Moon, with the other dead scientists.
  17. Lol imagine Maxis found her, and to put things right he lets her have her body back. So then Maxis is in Richtofen's body. (The irony!)
  18. While I suppose this is true, it is not the kind of glitch people would look down upon. Let me ask you this: say someone goes for a high round and uses this trick, getting to round 100. Would you consider his run legit? I definetly would. Also what is your view on having the box 'Gat and the table one at the same time? No, I wouldn't. However, considering doing this glitch had no impact on the record, I wouldn't take it very seriously. You might as well ask the question, if someone goes for Round 100, but does a barrier glitch just to "see what its like" in between rounds and then alone, does it count? The Blundergat is specifically programmed to be obtained by two alternative methods. Therefore, it is a two-per-team weapon, not one. (Mob of the Dead only, and the only case of two-per-team.) So, yeah, that's fine. It's also a one-time use. If one of those players loses the Blundergat, then you only have one for the rest of the game. It basically comes down to what is intended versus what is exploitation.
  19. No one is in Aether. Well, no human anyway. They are within Samantha, who is inside the MPD, which "connects" them to Aether. But they aren't actually within Aether. They just use its energy. Up until the endings of the Side Missions, Richtofen is inside Samantha. If you choose Richtofen, he then gains the ability to be within whomever. How exactly this works is unknown, but you can imagine it as if Samantha is his house. He now has the ability to "visit" other people's houses. If you choose Maxis, then he is now inside Samantha. He gains the ability to choose within whom Richtofen will be, and eternally has him go back and forth between zombie bodies. You can imagine it like a warden who sends an inmate to different prisons without his own free will.
  20. Technically, getting two of the same weapon, or two one-per-team weapons, out of the Box is glitching. The reason is that they were specifically designed to be one-per-team and for you to not get two of the same kind per person/team, and going around it by some type of exploit is the same as glitching or cheating. There is an exception to this. The QED in Moon. It's not glitching or cheating, because you can't control what it gives you. Sometimes it'll give you what you've already got, and you can end up with two Ray Guns. Just my opinion on this whole thing.
  21. I understand showing dissatisfaction with idiotic logic, but right now you're showing dissatisfaction with, well, everyone. And the favor will be returned. Undead Nightmare was trying to be civil. No need for such rudeness.
  22. Permanent Tombstone though It's not permanent. And it's not in every map. That won't do you any good in Town Survival.
  23. Interesting. Real life fun fact: The Emperor actually had the capability to build an atomic bomb just like the U.S. and Germany were working on, but he chose not to do it because he believed in the long run such technology would end humanity, not just the war. (Germany tried to do it, but they never came close to beating the far-ahead U.S.) EDIT: I agree, Electric. A prequel is just plain dumb. Treyarch won't have developed this complex story just to leave the end hanging. They're going to do like they did in Moon. They will have a huge development explain where things are going (blowing up the world) but at the same time dig a lot into the past (MPD).
