  1. I'm sorry, but that is just hilarious.
  2. I think it's just aesthetic appeal to show they've been fighting a while. Misty says that wound (singular) won't heal. She's referring to the Rift.
  3. Tom852 proved back in the day that the headshot multiplier is doubled (x2). So, with that and Double-Tap, your bullets are x4.
  4. What's the unlimited booze? Buying it for 1000 as much as you want? ZombieGK, I know the patch was submitted a while ago, but given the quantity of things they fixed with it, and that I'm sure they know about this, it seems like they would have patched it too. Surely ActionPackeddd's video is not the first record of it. It's not overpowered anyway. You have to avoid a drop for lots of rounds if you want to use it, and work with your teammates. And considering you can get a max ammo with the bank drop and the big guy, it's not that helpful. It does seem glitchy since the giant just runs away and it stays. Maybe was an unintended side effect of the map, and they just decided to leave it, like how you can max out your bank account in one round. It's like he fixes the drop in place with candy, just like he fixes the box in place with candy. I guess we'll see if they remove it with the next patch or not. Just because they didn't fix it doesn't mean it is supposed to be there. Sometimes they just don't have time, or they haven't worked it out yet, or it has unintended side-effects, or a million other reasons. There will always be glitches.
  5. They called them Persistent Upgrades. To use any other name just spreads ignorance. I mean, it's just bandwagon. Some youtube user goes "hey, I'll call it this!" and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Calling it what is popular should not be a priority over what is correct. It wouldn't bug me so much except for the fact that call this "CoDz's Confirmed Perma-Perk List". Your title acts as a representative of what this site believes. And you are choosing to represent this site as being ignorant.
  6. They are not permanent. They are not perks. Treyarch has been calling them Persistent Upgrades for roughly half a year now. The community needs to get with the program.
  7. I see it as the same as any other grief tactic. Throwing the meat at someone/ putting a trample steam on their down body/standing in a door way to block them from going into an area or escaping an area/shooting them to slow them down. This tactic is the same. How? Because its avoidable. You can still get the gun but its harder because you have to find a spot to get the gun. The only way to make it impossible is to have 2 players go down at once. And hey half the other team is down for 5000 points, il take that trade anyday. Its also the same as the tactic where you throw a grenade at the ground so they can't pick up weapons from the mystery box. A tactic that is very easy to fix if it was a glitch but it isn't. There is no way for me to pick up the grenade and throw it and get my gun so it is indeed similar to the method stated above. You are ignoring the fact that CDC player A being down in front of CIA player B should not have any relation to whether they can Pack-A-Punch. It's just nonsensical! Throwing the meat was programmed. Shooting them was programmed. Standing in front of small doorways is intended. Any glitch can be done "tactically". If there was a glitch where if they went down in front of you that it made you not be able to move, I'd bet there'd be teams with a designator "downer" to prevent any good players from having a chance. It doesn't make it any less of a glitch.
  8. There is, but no one goes there unfortunately, although the reasoning is not because no one plays them... viewforum.php?f=76 My favorites are Quizz, Berlin Bank, and Hello Kitty. (I think it is funny to have zombies in such a "happy" environment.)
  9. Thank you. Yes, Broken Arrow was mentioned in one of the Die Rise transmissions. There was also one from George Barkley, former CDC member.
  10. It's fine Thats not a glitch, thats a "hahahha your trolled, you don't get your gunz" thing that people do to cause grief. The same thing can be done with the mystery box. Kind of hard to do on certain maps but when ever it works, its a great tool. If someone does that in any game I play, I consider them a glitcher, a cheater. The game was obviously not designed to do that. I could understand a teammate, as you'd have to revive your teammate first. But when an enemy player goes down, there is no icon or indicator for doing anything, so it should not prevent you. It's an oversight that Treyarch hasn't fixed yet. @Infest: You can still upgrade The Mark II on the other maps.
  11. What I do is I always throw it down as soon as I get it (unless I'm saving to get 2 Perks from the ghosts). When I get a Max Ammo, I "renew" it. Essentially you are saving your progress, which an updated save every time you get a Max Ammo. I mean, if you have to go back 5 Rounds, it's better than dying.
  12. Oh yes. That sounds exciting. The Pack-A-Punch camo for the Mark II in Alcatraz was the same one that appears in all the other maps. It seems though they've updated it to the satanic camp, which seems exciting.
  13. I don't think they "named" him, but rather in the patch notes they obviously had to refer to him so they chose a generic description. not a name. I think their intent was specifically that us as players get to choose what we call him That's exactly what I said. It was a name that wasn't a name. It's a name that isn't.
  14. Yeah. It doesn't make sense on a timeline or anything like that. I think the fact that it revives your teammates regardless if just a gameplay mechanic incentive. However, if you place it BEFORE they die and then use it, they'll still have all of their Perks and whatnot.
  15. I find it interesting how they refer to the big guy as "Friendly AI". It seems to me to be a name they specifically chose as an alternative to no name at all. The guy has no name, yet they need to refer to him as something. So they refer to him with a breaking-the-fourth-wall name, "Friendly AI". Clever Treyarch. Clever.
  16. So, I just want to make my thoughts on some things mentioned known. First of all, I just want to say thanks Infected for using my transcripts (and crediting). It makes me feel glad I made them. I think we will find out next map. All we know right now is that Samantha is in Argatha, and that they are likely with her. I think the Flesh is two things in the long run. One, it is a cult and shows some people's mentality after the bombs went off. Two, it explains Samuel's past, as he was one of them. "You can't tell them about the Flesh!" I don't think he is or ever was a zombie. Honestly, it sounds ridiculous, but Turned makes you second guess that. But really, when he is referring to the Flesh, I think he is referring to the organization. The Green Run Recordings show that other people could hear Richtofen too. Also, Yuri could hear Samantha. Perhaps having eaten human/zombie flesh allows one to hear the person in the MPD? As for the moaning and groaning. It appeared on only one map. So what is the unique thing to that map? The Jumping Jacks. And actually, it is a somewhat similar sound effect as the Gas Zombies of old. There was a thread on that somewhere on this site. We don't have much to go on with "Him". But we can deduce it through logic. (Not all characters are so lucky. The Pentagon Thief's identity is still debated.) I think it is safe to say "Him" is not natural. Someone made him who he is. He appears in a secret lab, contained, in Green Run. So, apparently some type of secret government experiment? Maybe Treyarch was just going for cool effects but stopped putting them in because they drove people crazy I agree with Infest that a jump scare is just a jump scare. Who knows? I don't think we ever will, to be honest. I'd like to think he made it out alive. He was beyond his control and the zombies. So, perhaps he then went on to have a normal life. Perhaps he became a comic book artist. Marlton has a few quotes about how he actually used to own a laboratory. Therefore, I think Marlton was one of the radiation scientists that were killed in Nuketown. Just, he was the only survivor (through the use of the shelter). I believe it's the Devil, Lucifer, Satan, Mictlantecuhtli, Hades, whatever you want to call him. There's just SOOO many satanic references in the map. However, the transition from Lucifer to Samantha is a difficult one. I mean, I suppose we could go with that maybe whoever is in the MPD overrides Lucifer. But otherwise... yeah. This does mean, however, that technically, had Treyarch planned early enough, the zombies in Nacht and Verruckt should have red eyes, since Samantha didn't come into control until after Verruckt. This is what I think. Think of the context of the picture. There were five pictures. One large one for Richtofen, who was currently brainwashing test subjects. And then four smaller ones, consisting of his test subjects. There was the American test subject, the Russian test subject, and Japanese test subject, and the... oh wait... the last one is blank. Well we know from Call of the Dead that there was a Mexican test subject, but Richtofen accidentally killed him. I think that that picture represents how the Mexican was supposed to be there but since he died they never got his picture. That is a bit of a conundrum. My best guess is that he thought he would need it for the Moon but was wrong and didn't care if the others got it. Otherwise my guess is as good as yours. The Pyramid could time travel. It likely could teleport too. It allows you to get to the Pack-A-Punch. It shows the AK64-A experiments (Space Monkey program). It's fun to blow up? There's many possibilities for this. I mean, they could've teleported/arrived here next to a Lander and then rode the Lander in, not unlike getting off a plane and onto a bus to take you home. Actually, you're completely right. Richtofen and Maxis originally were colleagues, but only for a very short time. In 1940, they had their first spat over the teleported, and things only got worse from there. By 1945, Richtofen was fully deceiving Maxis, and Maxis was counter-planning out of suspicion. I believe Maxis built the Time Bomb and Paralyzer, because the Maxis Diary shows he was attempting to study ethereal energy, and those things use ethereal energy. (Just look at them.) As for the Sliquifier, I think in-game we make a rudimentary version of an actual gun used in China. In Studio, you can see a mock-up, manufactured version of it. December 31, 1933. The characters say this multiple times, New Year's Eve. They are being forced to relive the night of their escape over and over again, which Stanley tells us was 12/31/33. I just want to say this. They are called Jumping Jacks. Don't believe the CoD Wiki. Misty tells us how they came to be. "Are these things evolving or is it just an old-school mutation?" Man > Zombie > Gas Zombie > Phasing Zombie > Jumping Jack It's practically a Pokemon evolution. We theorized that he probably had something to do with why there's so much Russian equipment in Griffin Station. But it's really up in the air to be honest. His name is not... Anyway, the "Big Guy"'s origins are a huge mystery. I chalk him next to the Pentagon Thief. We may never know. If I HAD to guess, I'd say he was experimented on in the '40's. Why are many of the zombies bald? Brutus is a zombie too. Sort of, anyway. Marlton's clothes are messed up quite a bit too. Not sure about Russman. Misty isn't wearing enough clothing that it could tear and still be wearable. This is what we know about Broken Arrow: Broken Arrow was a site and organization. Russman was an operative there. He was fired. They were suspected in being involved in the "outbreak". Post-nukes, the facility was overrun with zombies and there had been a fire started by staff to erase incriminating evidence. The place was bombed by Saber10.
  17. Great thread. You laid things out logically. There are indeed a lot of unanswered questions. Hopefully some get solved.
  18. This guy I think is correct. The concept of "endgame" itself is superfluous and honestly very subjective. To use the term to refer to an event in zombies I think subjugates the whole purpose of the game, the story, and Treyarch. The term originates from various endings put on to custom maps, where you would click "end the game" for __x__ many points. The term is adopted from other games where you have a so-called "end-game", which is basically just the end OF the game. Since Zombies doesn't have an end, using the term is inappropriate. Treyarch introduced a way to end the game in Mob of the Dead. I disagreed with the decision, but it remains. It still isn't really an "endgame" though, because Mob of the Dead itself is a prequel. All in all, the term "end game" is erroneous, no matter how you use it.
  19. Some notes I made: In Zombies, one man did live long enough to say that Die Rise housed a device that was like a mirror and could look into the past. (I don't have the exact quite on me at the moment, but that's the gist of it.) Just wanted to bring it up. Also, in-game, it's called the Fly Trap. Just saying. Also, MTD stands for Matter Transference Device. MPD is Multidimensional Pyramid Device. It's MTD, not MDT. Anyway, I'll stop there. A lot of this seems to be theory, theory I don't particularly agree with. So, I can't give you the in-depth reply I said I would. Sorry.
  20. The display for the NavCards has always been very buggy. That is all. What is says isn't necessarily what is true.
  21. I feel you'll have a difficult time. Do you not have the ability to translate yourself?
  22. I guess I have something else to read. I'll give a more detailed response later. But skimming over it, great work!
  23. Even though my response may be predictable, I continue nonetheless: Brilliant!
  24. I think Maxis made it. It seems to run off of ethereal energy not unlike the ghost. Maxis was the only one who was every studying ethereal energy. Thus, he seems a likely candidate. Also note that the ethereal energy has strange effects upon time. For example, when you use the Paralyzer, it slows the zombies down. Also when it makes you "fly" it actually stops your acceleration or momentum; it keeps your speed fixed. If you were going up, you keep going up. If you were in the arc of your jump, you just kinda hang there. If you were going down, you keep going down.
