The Original 3 Are On Earth [THEORY]
MysteryMachineX replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I hope you're right. However, I would discourage the use of "original three". I believe Samantha has now earned title to being part of the "original four". The only problem with using the teleporter is that literally No Man's Land was the MOST overrun place ever. There's evidence to suggest that Americans just quarantined the place for years instead of dealing with it. -
Full scipts and analysis of Mob of the Dead quotes
MysteryMachineX replied to Shooter's topic in Mob of the Dead
Some of the stuff I agree with. Some I don't. But here's something to add: "Magic bullets? I'll take your magic bullets." - Finn when he gets a Max Ammo Key word is YOUR. He's acknowledging that it is being given to him (by that loud voice no doubt). -
Samantha's laugh in the BO2 zombies music.
MysteryMachineX replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I just want to point out that the version of Samantha's Lullaby in Mob of the Dead has been edited to REMOVE all little-girl-sounds. -
The Golden Spork and the Silver Spoon
MysteryMachineX replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in Mob of the Dead
There's not two pieces, just the spoon or spork. I don't have a capture device. And I don't know of anyone who has recorded this before. Sorry. -
It's all just a book?
MysteryMachineX replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't like either idea to be honest. But I just thought I'd put it out there, because some people believe it. And it's kinda hard to disprove, much like string theory. -
It's all just a book?
MysteryMachineX replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The spine of the book title the book as: Wunderwaffe DG-2 Wunderwaffe DG-3 -Edward Richtofen It's a book detailing the Wunderwaffe, not the story. However, the opening sequences depict comic books, which people have theorized to say that the story is represented within. People have also said that the story was just a dream of Samantha. There's a whole category of these kinds of theories. -
The Golden Spork and the Silver Spoon
MysteryMachineX replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in Mob of the Dead
Oh really? I'd love to find out for sure some day, but I've got more pressing stuff to do at the moment. : P Really? You won't write the word hell? No, I do not. It is against my ethics. Really? You won't write the word hell? Why does it matter? You still were able to understand perfectly what he is talking about. It's a matter of choice, some are more courteous than others - there's no reason to drag this thread off- topic. This is about the different melee weapons in MotD, not about word choice. Move along, everyone. Not sure about the damage, Grill. But it'd be interesting to find out. If you'd like to get photos, we could arrange a Theater mode watching sometime. Thanks Grill. -
The Golden Spork and the Silver Spoon
MysteryMachineX replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in Mob of the Dead
@PINNAZ: Yes. @Infest: Correct. I had to go in Theater mode, playing at x0.1 speed, just to see it. You can then easily see spoons and sporks flying around you, and you can clearly distinguish between the two in your hands. -
Hello there. This will be relatively short. Some of you may know this already, but I just found out, so I wanted to share in case others don't know. When doing the various tasks in Mob of the Dead, you can acquire a Golden Spork. To get it, you must acquire the Silver Spoon. However, Mob of the Dead introduces FOUR melee weapons. First of all, you use the Shiv rather than the standard Knife. (A Zombies first.) Secondly, you have a new variant of the Zombie Shield. Third, you have the Golden Spork. But what some of you might not know is that the Silver Spoon is also a melee weapon. It can just be hard to tell due to the unappealing color. To get the Golden Spork, you must hand over your Silver Spoon. So, just as the H*ll's Redeemer can be considered the "upgraded" H*ll's Retriever, the Golden Spork can be considered the "upgraded" Silver Spoon. At this time I do not know the damage of the Silver Spoon. I do not know whether it falls halfway between the Shiv and Golden Spork or if it is just the same as the Shiv. Also, something to note, there are two models of both the Silver Spoon and the Golden Spork: first-person and third-person. The Silver Spoon's third-person model is animated to spin around. Treyarch did this so that it would stir the blood when you put it in the bathtub. However, the Silver Spoon also still stirs in mid-air when an observer looks at your character. This effect carries over to the Golden Spork. This is why the Silver Spoon and Golden Spork are the fastest melee weapons to date: Treyarch was trying to hide the fact that utensils are flying around your character by making them so super fast. I would like to thank PINNAZ for pointing me in the right direction on this discovery as well as vDeltaGamingv for testing it for me. Thank you for your time.

The Ultimate Evil and its history.

You put a lot of work into this. Good job. -
What sensitivity do you play on?
MysteryMachineX replied to jerry533482's topic in General Zombies Discussion
.Is it difficult to screeshake, dodge etc on 4?My friend DropThatPerk plays on 4 I believe "Screenshaking" is doable, but honestly its overrated. If you have to do it a lot, you need to find a better place to run circles. And needing to turn quickly? Almost never needed. On 4 I can get higher on No Man's Land than almost all of my friends. -
Turns out we were wrong about that. It turns out that that is Lucifer's voice. Samantha tried to warn us there was something residing in Aether with her. Turns out it was the devil. What we previously thought to be Samantha's "demonic" voice was actually just her using the voice of the devil. Or you can just say Treyarch didn't want to re-record them. : P @Briggzy: I think what happened was that Samantha pacified him. When someone else is in control, he loses his power. Now that Richtofen is in control, in Die Rise we hear groaning of pain. Perhaps Richtofen can't handle it? Perhaps he can't pacify him like Samantha could?

I typically use four. Any more than that I find just wasteful. -
Original Maps with Grief Mode
MysteryMachineX replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Gersch was even born in 1946. That doesn't make sense. I'm telling you, Americans versus Soviets would make the most sense story-wise. -
Original Maps with Grief Mode
MysteryMachineX replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Actually, story-wise, we know there was standoff between Americans and Russians at Der Riese. It would be interesting to be able to play that through a Grief mode. -
Very true. Every time I play a game, everyone begs me to do the easter egg. I tell them no. We end up surviving very well, getting into the high 30's, and then they whine saying they're bored and want to end the game. It's so aggravating. Zombies is not supposed to end. You want an awesome reward for completing the Side Mission? Well, how about we instead give you the same exact result as dying instantly but with some text on the screen?

What's with the quotation marks? Obviously having more than two Blundergats was a glitch. Interesting though that they actually did let us have more than one (two) this time.

Weapons You Want to See in Zombies?
MysteryMachineX replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Do we have to be realistic? Some guns that would be cool, but I know I would never see are below. I suppose they could be added as in a custom map, but I imagine basically video game representatives: Super Scope from Super Mario Dirt Clod from Pokemon Telekinesis from Bioshock Laser Rifle from Fallout Laser Screwdriver from Doctor Who Star Rod from Kirby Particle Cannon from Wolfenstein A.S.H.P.D. from Portal -
But Nuketown doesn't have a purpose to be stuck in the cycle. If that were the case, then Moon would be stuck in a cycle (which we know it's not). Well, I wouldn't be too sure. I think it is implied that since we KNOW Alcatraz is in a cycle that all the other maps might be in one as well. Impossible to prove either way I think. But it does turn some cogs in the head. Just a thought.
-
Why not? I think it would be cool. If you are content with the old version, play the old version. But, hey, we're only going to to get so many new maps. So some revamped maps added onto that is the next best thing.

It might just be a reused sound effect. Like: Clocks make a noise A. But not all noises A come from clocks.
