There is More than One Side Quest
MysteryMachineX replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
I think it is possible that the Side Mission will be to try to get a plane and escape, but in doing so we help a higher purpose. -
Treyarch given us too much info, or not enough?
MysteryMachineX replied to TBGxRyan's topic in Mob of the Dead
If an advertisement for an upcoming movie told you the end of the movie you would argue that we didn't have to watch the advertisement? By the time you realize the APPROVED source is giving TOO much away it is too late to do anything about it! -
To be honest, I just don't have the time to devote to a test like this. You can though. It is easy enough. Just get a stopwatch. The moment an elevator comes down, time how long it takes to go up. Then try it when you're standing on it. Then try it while you're doing various things.

I looked at 4:13. There is no Max Ammo. What are you talking about?

Hellhound Could be Secondary Equipment?
MysteryMachineX replied to CptArel716's topic in Mob of the Dead
Yeah, 'cuz Syndicate can predict the future. Or you know, it shows that happening in the video. It shows a Tomahawk transforming into a Boomerang? We all watched the same video. Don't listen to everything you hear. Don't believe everything you hear. Believe only half of what you think you see. -
The only molten rock coming out of the volcano is lava. If there is any magma, it is literally invisible to the player, developer, and community. Lol Lenne. Don't expect it to happen again for quite a while. There's only a handful of Multiplayer maps which even have my most remote interest. Magma looks relatively acceptable.

There is More than One Side Quest
MysteryMachineX replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
Well "Easter Egg" is just plain wrong. We only called them that out of habit. Easter Eggs are supposed to be fun gimmicks with no point. The Easter Eggs of Zombies grew slowly in size. Now they are so expansive they are NOT Easter Eggs anymore. They are Side Missions. But some people started calling them Side Quests before the name Side Missions was released. I just think people should get used to saying what Treyarch has said they are called, since we now have a name for them. -

There is More than One Side Quest
MysteryMachineX replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
This is the first time that Treyarch has publicly acknowledged the name of these Side Missions. We called them Easter Eggs out of force of habit. We called them Side Quests for a more fitting name. Well Treyarch has now told us that they are called Side Missions. -
Mob of the Dead... Name of map or mode?
MysteryMachineX replied to epic_oreo17's topic in Mob of the Dead
The difference is the side quests. And I will be calling this map by its ACTUAL name. Please don't force your choices on other people. -
Alcatraz? Really? I mean, sure, it's possible. But every map thus far besides Nuketown has had a name that alludes to a bigger scheme. The Green Run. The Great Leap Forward. The Alcatraz?
-
What if the eyes are only red if you helped Maxis thus far? What if they are still blue if you helped Richtofen? What if Treyarch was just showing the red ones in the trailer to show of what is "new"?
-
To be honest, Mob of the Dead is just the game mode. We don't know what the name of the map is yet. And yes, this is true: Treyarch said Mob of the Dead is a zombie "experience", but it isn't the name of the map, just like TranZit and Die Rise. TranZit > Green Run Die Rise > Great Leap Forward Mob of the Dead > ???

Wow, that's awesome!

They're making new Perks because people love them, but they are being limited so that people can't be overpowered and get every single Perk. I do think they might all be in one map eventually at some point. Maybe.

Bootlegged Perks? ( Are the perk beverages canon?)
MysteryMachineX replied to Mattzs's topic in Mob of the Dead
Perks that are confirmed to contain alcohol: Double-Tap Root Beer Deadshot Daiquiri Mule Kick Double-Tap Root Beer II -
UNLESS! The movie production BEGAN in the time before the nukes, and part way through either the charracters were teleported forwards into the heart/aftermath of the apocalypse! Meaning by some form of teleportation or preservation they didnt get the memo that the world had ended... OR The movie production took place durring the nukes, a select few, including the four, survived, and have been either unconscious sense, or have been holding up here for a while... Only now to have to deal with a MAJOR outbreak of zombies (Possibly caused by a boss zombie's appearance).... But the few are stuck here through the rest of their zombie filled lives... Staying in charracter either because they've lost their minds or because it's entertaining... OR Purhaps this entire version of alcatraz is actually not apart of earth or our world and time, but is in a parrell zone, such as purgatory, where Alcatraz survived along with the people seen here... Once THIS spire is activated it connects to the REAL world where the spires are activated... And the spire from inside the movie corrupts not only richtofen's plans but maxis'es as well... As a 3rd character's role comes to play... From beyond our time and our universe... So this IS a movie about mobsters in the older times, but it's cannon because it links the REAL world with this Warped-Zone, turning a normal film into a dark and threatening reality... Where it's spire connects with the REAL spire... I like the last idea the best! VERY complicated to understand! Possibilities like these are why I think it is POINTLESS to try to predict a future map.

Typically prisons only have one warden at any time. So I think it is likely we will see merely one warden. Perhaps he is the first zombie we kill, like how TranZit you start with a few.

Discount map packs for BO1/WaW?
MysteryMachineX replied to NeedaLittleRevive's topic in General Zombies Discussion
No there isn't. All I know is you can buy a bundled Zombie map pack for World at War. Also that PC gets the zombie maps for free on World at War. There's no easy way for Black Ops. Although Rezurrection is five zombie maps in one DLC, so there's that. -
A shank instead of a Bowie Knife would be awful. A shank isn't even as good as the normal Knife! But having a shank instead of a Knife could be interesting.

Why is it called Magma when there is no magma? It should be called Lava. : P

I think that they meant that Nacht was the 2nd outbreak after the initial outbreak at Der Riese. Guys we already discussed this long ago. In addition to playing as the characters in Nacht, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese, there were Marines fighting them EVERYWHERE. Marines at Nacht. Marines at Verruckt. Marines at Shi No Numa. Marines at Der Riese. In addition to them, there were Soviets at Nacht, and an Allied force at Der Riese. Trying to "re-think" that far back is asking for nothing but trouble. In fact, consider me done with this thread, at least until the map comes out. EDIT: I'm sorry.
-
They have yellow eyes but they don't GLOW! The eyeballs are literally just yellow orbs, and that is because they are zombies. Decomposing eyes naturally turn yellow-ish. Nacht der Untoten occurred BEFORE Verruckt. The maps occur in order.

Theory, and why guns are canon to the storyline.
MysteryMachineX replied to Vyhl's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I disagree with your reasoning. However, I do think the guns are canon. You just have to take it with a grain of salt. The eras of the weapons have meaning, even if not each gun matches exactly with the year. -
I'm pretty sure zombies in Nacht and Verruckt were controlled by Samantha and they all have orange/yellow eyes in both of these maps. That's only in the Black Ops remakes, which aren't even canon anyway. I misspoke. Nacht der Untoten, their eyes didn't glow. However they did in Verruckt, but I don't think that counts. They also had Samantha, even though we KNOW story-wise Samantha was still just a little girl at that point. The existence of the yellow eyes, Power-Ups, and Mystery Box in Verruckt is disregarded as poor storyline planning. But still, the original zombies prior to Samantha had non-glowing eyes.
