  1. Maxis really is a good guy. Richtofen is evil. So I'm going with Maxis. Maxis isn't perfect, but he's loads better than Richtofen.
  2. To be honest, I have no idea what to make of this loading screen. Therefore I see its mystery to be a lot like that of Nacht der Untoten's loading screen. Although, on the bright side, I felt the same about Shangri-La until MixMasterNut's theory straightened that out.
  3. Yay. Everyone's saying how the bus driver might be controlled by Richtofen because of the eyes. Why can't it be controlled by Maxis because of the machinery? Just a thought. I thought about that, but I don't know... It just seems... off. That would place the bus driver's creation after the nukes, which gives him no reason to look as tattered as he does. Maxis was sent to Griffin Station shortly after October 1, 1945, and was stuck into the computer, later saying in TranZit he's been looking for decades. If TranZit and Nuketown were to take place in 1965 of later, that's 20 years, which would fall under the category of decades being plural. AI, for sure. We know that people can find thing inside the Aether, and they are aware of the arrival of new people. Hence Samantha trying to find Gersh and physically coming after him, according to Gersh. So therefore, I think that Richtofen would have tried to find Maxis inside Aether already if he was there. Nice to see others agreeing. That's my train of thought as well. I get that THAT evidence points to AEther, but I think the technology outweighs it. As for the Easter Egg stuff, I'm still handicapped on that, having not done it myself yet.... : / As for the capturing stuff. I don't think it is a matter of time. In Aether, you become quite powerful. It may not physically be possible to "capture" someone, rather than just torture them a ton. I think if Richtofen and Maxis were in the same realm, they just try to hurt each other directly like Samantha hurt Gersch without making the Earth their battleground. I don't think Richtofen knows EXACTLY what Maxis is doing, but I think you're right in that he has the gist of it. Btw, in the quote, it is dam, without an n. It's a reference to beaver.
  4. I think we need to stop comparing these to Perks. It'll just cause confusion. I think a name should be applied to them. I vote "Earnables". Kinda like buildables, but they are skills that you can earn through your Zombies career.
  5. Well the timeline is quite confusing. But I think Maxis is an AI. Point being, he can only communicate through technology. Also, he is going against Richtofen. I see them as occupying two different realms. Maxis VS Richtofen. Cyberspace VS Aether. Science VS "Magic".
  6. I'm still trying to decide. Either the Ray Gun, Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23, MTAR, LSAT, or HAMR. If Duck or someone else ever releases the stats on the weapons, then I'll be able to make a decision.
  7. Is Marlton the only voice that is distinguishable or is the rumor that all the characters are in there actually true?
  8. Complete the campaign, watch the credits. Then you'll see. I did already. But honestly, I didn't see every single name. So it says it in there? That's unexpected.
  9. Oh hey. Shooter, you're alive. Since you and Tac decided to do "solo" analysis, I've been forced to nearly the same. Good points you raised. Perhaps an actual discussion can take place instead of many mini ones spread across many threads? I'll edit this post with a more detailed response to your points soon. And I don't hate you. I hate your recent behavior. EDIT: If you want to discuss something of this nature, you should PM me. Or perhaps respond to already sent PMs... The guns are not merely there for gameplay purposes. You have to take them with a grain of salt, like the quotes. AK74u? Couple years off, but in the general area. Call of the Dead? Modern time, but Cold War weapons in the area are acceptable. MP40? Appears in maps that would logically have it. You're thinking too harshly. Too specifically. Treyarch, however, would not include a whole swath of new weapons that make absolutely no sense. It doesn't have to be perfect. But there has to be some type of logic. The guns are one of the most integral part of the game. Gameplay or not, future guns in the past baffles logic, an oversight Treyarch would not take without some type of explanation. He responds to your attacks. By definition he is a so-called "life form". But that's symantecs. And his movements aren't that basic. He can rotate much more than any other animatronic of that time period I have seen. He actually has personality in him, not just a droid following orders. Not that this amounts to anything really. Buses driven by computers, in whatever form, would not be released to the public at that time. I humored that idea in my last post^, but it seems silly really. You're using the architecture of the place to say it's in the '60's. Is it not possible that the architecture was just not updated? Not everywhere are the old buildings replaced with modern ones. Yes. I mentioned that too in my post above, the radio. See my post for that. Why make theories on something that you can just ask? And I'm not referring to Zombies. I realize that. I don't see why you have to point it out. Theories are good. But your mannerism has not been so good. I really don't care what you have been right about. I just know that before I communicated with you and Tac, I was often wrong. And I know that now since you have ceased, minus this one post, misinformation will be abundant. It's not like your "solo" analysis is even truly solo. You take things too personally. I said solo analysis does not typically work out. I said that from experience. ANYONE trying to do a solo analysis will be more prone to failure.
  10. That kinda makes sense. In one of the so-called Maxis radios, Maxis says he was looking for survivors for decades since the bombs fell. What if the bombs fell in the '60's, but Tranzit takes place in the future? What if the HAARP people kept on trying to survive (the other people in the so-called radios) and are responsible for making the guns and robot driver and everything futuristic? What if the reason the bus driver was made was to bring survivors to the HAARP station? Although saying that now makes me feel a bit silly.
  11. I listened to every quote released thus far. NEVER did ANYONE say the names Abigail nor Briarton. Misty is simply Misty, just like how Russman is simply Russman.
  12. I haven't noticed that, but at least that is a rational explanation. Btw, thanks Lenne.
  13. I really don't think that is likely. He would just use his own voice in that case. Btw, where did Shooter post that? I'd prefer to argue with him directly.
  14. Just because another user says that's her name doesn't mean it's her name. I'm looking through the quotes now to see if it says it. If it doesn't by the time I'm done, I'll be convinced it's another bullet to add to the list of misinformation from the CoD Wiki. However, it just might be true.
  15. You were fine. No worries. Lol perhaps. I don't subscribe to the dream theory. I've never liked that idea personally. It basically just amounts to "none of this even really happened." Who says her name is Abigail? Even if it was, Americans weren't allowed in 935.
  16. Thanks for the info! Where do these "orbs" appear?
  17. ^Responses in bold. What about the possibility that this is an alternate reality in a meshed timeline kinda like Land of the Lost? EDIT: @Tridalo: While most "civilized" folks wouldn't dress that way, culture can affect things. I say it is POSSIBLE that a small-town country girl could do things like play with the pigs or walk around half naked without anyone really caring.
  18. I might be able to confirm that. I'm on Thanksgiving break. When I get back, if my blue eyes are gone, I'll be quite sad and confirm this.
  19. Huh. Maybe Electric is right then.
  20. Metal boards being luck based? Uhh I really don't know how to respond to that. Either way, I have tested both in a solo game and in a public match I no longer put up wooden boards of course in both tests I was Russman again so I really don't know, I could keep trying until I get someone else but the game seems to like to put me as Russman. You build a board. You have a RANDOM chance of it being wood or metal. Yes? No? Maybe?
  21. @PINNAZ: You didn't even mention the weapons. Plus, on the bus driver, the bus driver is NOT merely an animatronic. How so? He RESPONDS to your actions. He is an INTELLIGENT being. No one programmed him to curse. No one programmed him to tell you to run. He says things that are quite personalized. I believe the bus driver is a robot with automated functions. He has his directive, which he must follow no matter what. But he his own intelligence. I see it a lot like I see M.A.R.G.o.T. off of Fallout. The world was nuked, but she still maintained the presidential train, even though she knew no one rode it anymore; it was her purpose in life.
  22. Maybe it's luck-based and you just got unlucky?
  23. Do you just work on these things by yourself or do you ever discuss things with anyone? I can tell you from my old days of storyline-ing that solo analysis gets you nowhere.
  24. Yes. It is NOT the actual Nacht. It's just a fort with the same layout as an allusion.
