FLESH EATING ROBOTS Let's talk the possibility of flesh eating robots. This all came about because I was watching an Alex Jones show, and early on it mentioned the EATR robot. I found the show's headlines, Rule by DARPA Death Bots, and Robot Alchemy to be very enticing, so I had to check it out. The show brought up a lot of interesting points about in technology today robots are now building other robots to replace human workers at Foxconn. Also, when we look at AI today used robots, we have robots that are able to make logical decisions. How long will it be before they realize that they don't need us creators anymore? The whole Alex Jones show can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85nJOoZNVw4 This story is actually about 3 years old... tEVXw-aE3as EATR ROBOT A EATR Robot runs on bio-mass for fuel. It's purpose is to be an autonomous robotic vehicle able to perform long range, long endurance missions, indefinitely, without the need for conventional refueling. Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot (EATR) Project http://www.robotictechnologyinc.com/index.php/EATR On the website, the first link you see is an important message concerning EATR to tell you that despite rumors from FoxNews.com & CNET, etc., EATR is not designed to be a flesh-eating robot. They say it's strictly vegetarian (and solar if needed). The logic they use is that desecration of corpses on the battlefield is a warcrime, and DARPA doesn't sanction warcrimes. The fact that this disclaimer even has to be here sounds fishy This disclaimer ignores the fact that the whole rumors about it being a flesh-eating robot come straight from project proposal saying the biomass fuel included chicken fat. Check this out... http://www.robotictechnologyinc.com/ima ... l%2009.pdf There it is, they plan to make robots that run on chicken fat. And on a similar note... FLY EATING ROBOT In my research I also found a video on a Fly Eating Robot being made by Bristol Robotics Laboratory Ecobot-1 ooGTNpZKAZY The next generation of environment friendly robots are on the way. This "predator" robot needs flies to digest in order to create energy for movement. Although the distance covered after "eating" one fly is about couple of centimeters, the technology opens new perspective to fueling our vehicles. Ecobot-3 (it's getting bigger) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EcoBot Keep in mind Bristol Robotics is involved in making drones, AI, and droids too pgYM-Dgc9yE If we have machines that can run on house flys and chicken fat, how far are we really away from having machines that can run on humans? The Future of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Jimmy Zeilinski tweeted on March 18th this link Scientific Reader. I, Quantum Robot http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/2013/03/17/i-quantum-robot/ AY4ajbu_G3k Imagine the combination of advanced AI being put into drones that needs minimal human interaction. They can problem solve for themselves and can feed themselves in an effort to be self sufficient out in the field. How long before the AI perceptions realizes humans are made of biomass too? They won't need us for anything other than food. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Truth is Stranger than Fiction - Mix

shortcut to mystery box & roof without power & trample steam
MixMasterNut replied to killer2killer's topic in Die Rise
I learned how to strafe jump to the mystery box room from CoDz's own LiamFTWinter -
Because it's about the journey, not the destination. You can't even imagine how much weird and cool shit I've learned as a result of researching the stuff I've found in the game. I mean one day you could be playing zombies, and the next your an expert in morse code, WW2 history, and known conspiracy theories. A video game that tricks you into wanting to learn things. How genius is that! - Mix

The problem is there aren't too many in the community with the ability to translate it for you. Maybe DragonGJY can help. He helped with a good number of signs over here: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=28438 - Mix

Who's the Good Guy, and who's the Bad Guy?

I'm not buying Maxis's excuses about miscalculations on Griffin station. IMO, there is no good here. Both sides are evil. - Mix -
Watch TheRelaxingEnd's 100 Ways to Die in Die Rise @ 1:35 Watch Way to Die #6 qhyGzK6T93w This has happened to me at least twice now in my own games. One thing I recommend is to make sure you don't jump off that last ledge. Instead, just run off of it. - Mix

CODZ youtube - NEW INTRO IN ORIGINAL POST (opinions please)
MixMasterNut replied to Chopper's topic in Site News
I loved the original idea put up here with the TOP SECRET style manila folder. Feels very Black Ops to me. SUc5VZ-KIQo I don't care for the second part of it though. The two pieces just don't go together. The type writer sound is great, but just needs to be cleaned up. Not sure why more wasn't done with it. Surprised to see one year later, this project hasn't gone anywhere. - Mix -
I made a video on the topic. amI3YNRQ8Ns It's my first storyline related video, so it's a bit rough. - Mix

Let's just say I went on a whole lot of magical journeys in my round-about way of getting to the real answer. I swear, somewhere there are Russian fans who are sitting back laughing at us ignorant Americans for taking this long to figure it out. In retrospect, some of these rabbit holes I went down are downright embarrassing. I was way off in my Great Leap Forward propaganda. My mind was deep in the Kino Wii audio file stuff at the time I started exploring that direction. Communist Propaganda tends to look a lot the same no matter what country it comes from. - Mix

I've run into a glitch on Die Rise a few times where I lose Galvaknuckles (and my melee ability) immediately after purchasing them. When you buy the Galvaknuckles, there is an animation that plays where you punch your left hand, then you shake out the shock in your left hand. What I think you need to do to perform this glitch is buy the Galvaknuckles, and immediately jump down the elevator shaft before this animation completes where you punch your own hand. If done correctly, you won't have a melee attack when you land. Purchasing the Galvaknuckes again doesn't fix the glitch. What you need to do is purchase the Bowie Knife first, and then buy the Galvaknuckles again. Which means this glitch sucks! It puts you out 15,000 points and a couple trips around the map to get back to where you need to be. So make sure you let the animation play out before jumping down the rest of the elevator shaft. I'd make a video demonstrating this glitch, but I don't have a video camera to show that when I'm slamming the melee button on my controller, nothing is happening. So yeah, this one is kinda hard to show. I've run into this a few times on Xbox. Don't know if it happens on the other platforms too. Anyone else run into this? - Mix

Video Proof or it didn't happen. With Theater Mode, you can upload clips directly to youtube. If you don't have a youtube channel, it'll upload to the callofduty youtube channel, and you can access the videos directly from your Elite website page. Making video clips and sharing them is accessible to anyone now. - Mix

Well that was boring :? Should I even bother with collecting screenshots of the other signs on this DOA map? - Mix -
Many have assumed Five and Ascension are happening at the exact same time because we can hear the crew from Five talking through the red phones on Ascension. The same red phones show up on both maps. For those looking to pinpoint an exact date on when this map is happening, have likely assumed sometime in late Oct - early Nov 1963 because of the last entry on this chalkboard in the Pentagon, as well as JFK's death (Nov 22, 1963). So we know Ascension must be happening in late Oct - early Nov 1963, right? Well not so fast.... The Monument to the Conquerors of Space was not open to the public until Oct. 1964. Why would their be a painted mural of this Monument's embossed relief in the Ascension map if the Russian Monument wasn't constructed until 1964? I can only conclude that Treyarch simply does not care about having specific dates to their maps. - Mix

The elevators are what make this map very tricky to navigate through. Try to time your trips on the elevator so that they happen at the end of the round, when you only have one zombie left. Make sure you don't damage the zombie at all!!! Or else you run the chance of a fresh round starting while you are on the elevator. When inside the elevator, and joined by a raging zombie in this tight space, it's important to remain calm. It's okay to get hit once of twice. Don't freak out and do something stupid. However if you get red screened, your best move is to take out the zombie ASAP, and deal with the next round starting. Hug the walls and run circles around the whole elevator shaft. Use the whole space to your advantage, and keep moving in a manner so you don't get trapped in the corners. - Mix

The Soviets and Americans were working together.
MixMasterNut replied to TheMadHatter's topic in Black Ops
I made them line up to say 115 for this image I used in my Moon loading screen analysis thread. Whether they were meant to say 115, or I just forced it as much as possible is debatable. However I don't believe it's a coincidence at all that the shadows are being cast at the exact same angle and length. The Soviets and Americans working together connection goes much deeper than that. There's a lot more in-game evidence that can support that theory. However you really don't need to look any further than the red phones to be convinced... The exact same red phones show up on the maps Five and Ascension. When you pick up the phones in Ascension, you can hear the voices of the characters on Five. Why would there be a direct phone link from the Pentagon to a secret Russian Cosmodrome unless they were working together? It's that simple. - Mix -
Props to Treyarch for filtering out the impurities within the leaderboard. At first I thought this tread was trolling because I checked the leaderboards, and myself plus all my friends kept their high round scores. In retrospect, I thought I'd be ranked a bit higher. Currently ranked 5k+ for Die Rise solo. Oh well... On a related note, I'm currently ranked 115 for Nuketown Zombies solo  Love it! - Mix

Moon / Area 51 - Bob Lazar & John Lear Connection
MixMasterNut replied to MixMasterNut's topic in Asylum
I feel like you pointing out that you recall him being an Electrical Engineer, was to challenge the fact that I classified him as a rocket physicist in my OP. Am I wrong on that assumption? And if you are challenging my classification of him, then why can't we both be right in this instance? Wouldn't he need to know rocket physics as well as electrical engineering in his line of work? - Mix -
Moon / Area 51 - Bob Lazar & John Lear Connection
MixMasterNut replied to MixMasterNut's topic in Asylum
From what I've picked up, Bob Lazar appeared to be a jack of trades type of scientist. He might have very well been an electrical engineer, among other things... In 1982 Bob Lazar was featured on the front page of the Los Alamos newspaper for converting his car into a jet car. I've heard he's built three jet cars in his lifetime, including one that runs off hydrogen energy. The entry of him on the front page of the 1982 newspaper shows him standing next to his jet car. Bob Lazar used this article as an impressive talking point when having an impromptu meeting with nuclear scientists, Edward Teller. Teller then refered Lazar to work at S-4. While at S-4, he was assigned with reverse-engineering an anti-matter reactor core from an alien space-craft. Engineering rocket cars, and reverse-engineering Anti-matter reactor cores sounds a bit beyond Electrical Engineering to me. However even Bob Lazar claims to believe there were much more qualified scientists in the community than him to fill his role at S-4. - Mix
