  1. Yeah I should have been clearer in my definition. Pound for pound the svu wins but in a practical sense the AN does. Others have mentioned it but the AN let's you camp a good few rounds longer than anything else similarly available.
  2. Yeah the right way is the way you enjoy the most. For complete newbs there is definitely more efficient ways of playing but if you have a bit of knowledge, and are having fun, don't let anyone tell you you are doing it wrong.
  3. Better and worse is part of my issue. What makes something define-ably better or worse? Something might be quicker, but when I'm talking and basing this of a fun factor, faster doesn't make it more fun, hence 'better'.
  4. I believe the AN is the strongest wall weapon for sure. It's what I would put in the locker if anything. Maybe the Scar and HAMR have more power, but the HAMR recoil is a joke and the Scar is a box gun. The AN will let you camp until round 35 if you back it up with Sallies, and that is no joke.
  5. Hey Guys, This is a topic I've been thinking about for a little while and would love to get some of your opinions on it. Is there a right way to play zombies? Have we over strategised the game? Have we become slaves to fastest tactics at the expense of fun? Here are the questions I've been thinking about. Some backstory; I started playing zombies with Kino about 1 month after Black Ops came out. The excitement I felt with trying to learn this new game was incredible. Trying out new guns, working out that the Famas was bad, Commando and Galil were good and RPK and HK were beast. I learnt by playing on the stage on Kino. It's where I learnt to kite and how to manipulate the AI. Man it was fun. A typical game would go as follows. Use MP40 to around level 15, then hit the box. Aiming for the ThunderGun, plus one of the big guns, HK or RPK. I would then circle the stage, and destroy with these LMGs. Round 25 took probably close to an hour to get to, but it was so much fun. A typical game now. Restart until box spawns in MPL room, get TG and/or Ray Gun, get Jugg, get back into MPL room, round 25 done within 30 minutes. So, which of these methods is 'right'? I know people who turn their noses up at people who do not play in the fastest possible way. The arrogance they can show is outstanding. Who the fuck made you King of my world and everything I'm doing? To me, what's right is the way you have the most fun. I was speaking to my friends Steve and Boysta about this. For those that don't know, Steve is easily and acceptably, in the top 2 zombie players in the world. Mato and Steve are really above everyone else. There are many that come close, including Alvar, Relaxing, Zeus etc, but these 2 really do play on another level. The speed they do things astounds me, along with many others who most would class as 'world' class. Now we got credentials out the way, I'll tell you something. As a team, Boysta and Steve did their first coop 40 on Kino, the same as me and my friend. It took us all at least 6 hours to do this, running loops around Kino. Since then. we have done 40 coop again in under 2 hours. Without exception, we all believe that the first time we did it was more fun. There was this feeling of accomplishment which I've only come close to twice again....95 on Die Rise coop, and 80 on Buried coop. The Die Rise and Buried games, using the fastest tactics didn't even come close to the fun we had doing Kino. Die Rise and Buried felt like grinds, whereas Kino felt like an adventure. I know the fastest strategy on every map, and how to implement it. Do I have as much fun as I used to? I don't believe I do anymore. It's all become a bit clinical and scientific. Don't get me wrong, I love the strategising when a map comes out, how to do it the fastest way. That doesn't mean it's the best way. There is no best way. I myself have written multiple guides, and alot of them concentrate on early point whoring, in a somewhat anal way. Every guide you see the same, 4 bullets round 1, knife, 8 bullets round 2, knife, 12 bullets round 3, knife etc. I've seen many times people getting upset over things that don't really matter. When a teammate shoots on insta, I've seen people leave games. People take a nuke, someone leaves the game. A secret that is not mentioned is that unless you are a total beginner, it's almost completely irrelevant. There are so many ways to get the same goal. Kino for instance, as long as you get to the MP40, it doesn't matter if you have point whored like a boss, by round 15 it's all the same. Sure, the point whorers have got a bowie before Jugg, and are sitting pretty on 12,000 on round 10. What are you going to do with those points now? Yeah you can hit the box, but you don't need to really. MP40 does the job until at least 15 in fair comfort, and you probably won't run out of ammo. I think point management is definitely important to total beginners, and even intermediate players. Not to the extent that you need to follow a guide word by word to get stuff done. The guides are more there to provide tips on somewhat specific things, like how to do revives, where the best places to train are etc. Don't let them be your bible, let them be your assistant. Take what you want, mix it up a little, and keep having fun. In the past, I have been one of those who was too much a slave to most of the above. Before I joined here, the arguments I had on GameFaqs were ridiculous. No more. I believe that I am a damn good player; does this give me the right to berate others for not playing the same as me, to leave a lobby if people won't listen to me? Far too many players out there have an arrogance towards others, based on their perceived superior knowledge. I'd like to think that most of the people on here, are for one more knowledgable than most, but more importantly are prepared to spread that knowledge in a non douchy way. We have a responsibility as both decent human beings, and members of this great website to educate people with inferior knowledge when they need it, and to not berate them even when they deserve it. Chopper out. I'll more than likely come and add some other stuff later, but I'm happy with this for now
  6. NML is corrupt - spawns are better when you stay online, but you spin like Shawn White when you knife....

  7. I rarely do no mic games as I get bored not talking. I think if someone wants to play mic-less the onus is on them to leave if others want you to have a mic. Its a team game and most people would say it requires communication. Most randoms are....interesting however and I do understand not wanting to use one.
  8. Knowledge and practice are what separates average players from greats. Instincts obviously help, but instincts are generally developed from practice. Knowledge means knowing that if 2 players are on the stage on Kino, and one goes down that there is more than enough time to do a very safe half map, collecting all the zombies behind you enabling a very safe revive. In the same vein, knowledge means knowing that if you or a teammate goes down, the worse thing to do is spam your sallies (as the downed player) or to kill a bunch as the alive player. If you have a group of crawlers around you, it's more than likely that I won't be able to revive you. COTD - you go down on round 14, what good is shooting your pistol at all the zombies going to do, except to likely piss off George, which is likely leading to you not coming up. And a lack of a mic on most games is just not happening. If you bleed out entirely, and spawn back with 1500 points, I can get you Jugg plus a gun back, in my sleep, if you can talk to me. Occasionally someone has enough savvy to follow my lead, but most of the time it doesn't happen. If you aren't the best player at zombies, having a mic is often going to be the difference between you enjoying the game, or watching me clutch a round.
  9. Guys when is anyone available to attempt this again? I really believe that getting a Boomhilda will speed up the process in the long run, and would suggest racing to 10 filling all the boxes along the way, to ensure you can dig the whole map safely on 10 whilst killing.
  10. When I did my speed runs on origins a key part was doing things whilst killing. I think it might be worth thinking about racing to 10 to have 4 shovels and at least a boom or two. Once someone has a boom you can definitely get more done and keep killing.
  11. CODZ day yesterday....thanks Paolo, Way, Craig and Ryan for the games

Good to play with you again man! More customs in the future for sure.

  12. I'll do it guys but the earlier we start the better; I'm up at 6 tomorrow morning and then am driving to Brussels. I just need to take a quick break now and then can go whenever we all can get on.
  13. I have 40 down and 10 up pretty much constant. I can host and stream with no issues if necessary; I do it fairly often. I'm more than happy to also sit on someone else's host
  14. I'll stream and record and those times are good for me. I'll have to stop by about 12pm GMT but I'm sure we should have done it by then.
  15. Oh I fancy this Hells....I want to play with CODZ guys only today if I can. I was hoping for some customs with Way and Paolo too. What time you want to start Craig?
  16. Pretty much what Hell said. I thought the fog was added to hide the textural mess that was present due to not enough development time or enough console power. The fog could have always been planned, but the map feels unfinished and/or rushed whichever way you slice it. It reminds me a little of skyrim - a game that renders an incredible amount in the open world, yet the console limitations still mean that you can't fly around and over towns, as there would be nothing in them as it needs you to enter to render. As part of the main quest there's even a part where you are due to actually fly on a dragon, but as you get on and the game loads, it just takes you to where you are meant to be. You ride only in your imagination. I don't know by what factor the one/ps4 are more powerful than their predecessors, but I imagine the extra grunt and RAM would have enabled them to fix the issues I see with Tranzit.
  17. This is what could have made tranzit better. 1 - an extra year of development. 2 - Xbox one. As opposed to listing the numerous issues I have with transit, I'll say that I dont believe they could have done anything different. To me, they had a grand plan and ran out of time and into too many hardware restrictions.
  18. I've always been a choice kinda guy. Pro choice that is. I think that everyone who has responded in here ultimately touches on choice. As Mega said, you can choose to do what you like on a map such as Origins. People did 50 first day solo before even discovering the staffs. I do not like being put in a position where my choice negatively affects gameplay. There is a world of difference for instance in choosing not to use the box for a game, against choosing to not build a staff. Make maps complex for sure, but after you have performed complex tasks to gain something, please don't make me choose to do the same every game I play. I feel like a broken record, but with all the arguments I have seen around the new game, BO vs BO2, EEs vs Objectives, I have yet to see a good reason to not allow each individual player a choice of how they will play a map, with no restrictions if they decide to not perform a 30 minute set of steps just to get 4 wonder weapons in a map. Once I have done it, let me choice to not do all the tasks again, and have another way of gaining the reward.
  19. Why did I not discover custom zombies a year ago? It's all EPIC in caps.

      @LiL TS - I'm considering it mate

  20. Dahniska has some great points. To me, Moon itself is very boring. It's slow and painful in every regard. It's stupidly easy. NML however is the single greatest drug ever created which kinda balances. If there is a single thing I would wish for in the next game, it would be a solo mode to compare to NML. Whenever I have a spare hour with nothing to do, or waiting for friends to get online, I jump straight into that mode. There is nothing on BO2 which is remotely similar. I suspect that there are many, many, many others who do exactly the same as me. Or Treyarch you could release mod tools for BO1, and then I won't have to buy another game from you again. Oh wait......
  21. Kino 4p no power round 34 world highest. NML 345 kills my highest. Both in the last week.
  22. 345 kills NML :D
