ATTN Treyarch - sledgehammer and the fly
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I've been to 100, and killed 23,500 zombies in the process. Not once did I take them all out in one shot. Sometimes in the 60s, you might need 2 shots, on very rare occasions. once you get to the mid 80's, you are continually worrying about ammo. As the gun has 50 bullets and you get rats after every 4 rounds that means you get 10 shots per round on average (excluding the 10 in the chamber). Do the math. No, the people who agree with me actually understand why they are agreeing with me. They give their own reasons, and state it in such a way to show that they understand why they agree. As the quote above shows, this guy really knows nothing. It seems to me that everyone who thinks it's overpowered, only thinks it is because they are hearing others say it. No-one is actually giving any real reasons as to why it is overpowered, as they aren't actually using it in a way that makes it overpowered. That's what annoys me. When someone said earlier that they only use wall weapons was a great example. I'm not saying it's not fun, but they are called wonder weapons for a reason. To not use them out of principle, and to put your point across as if you are better than everyone for playing like that is madness. My whole point is that it's only a very small percentage of players who can use it in an overpowered way.....they tend to be the ones who agree. The ones who say it was overpowered and it's a good thing that it's patched, well in my opinion they really could never use it in such a way, and it smacks of jealousy towards those that can. -

By noobs maybe I should say bandwagon jumpers. And there is a distinction between noobs and newbs. -
ATTN Treyarch - sledgehammer and the fly

Wow, there really are some idiotic responses in here. As I don't want to flame, I'm just going to say that many of you clearly do not know what you are talking about as is apparent by what you are saying. You can get to 50 running with many wall weapons, it's boring as hell. All the recent games have had wonder weapons which can clear an entire hoard in any level.....they were boring as hell to use. The sliquifier brought so much fun to my zombies experience, it's just not the same on solo without it. The worse thing is that it affects such a small group of players. The noobs that think it was overpowered.....you are wrong. By your posts you clearly do not understand how to use it, and are just throwing your opinion out there as if you do. Lets compare it to Ascension, Kino or Moon. Both had areas where even a fool could use an auto train to collect all zombies in 20 seconds, and then use the Wonder weapon on the map to clear the entire hoard. No-one complained about this. So then we have the liquid gun which basically does the same, however using kiting it is extended to kill more and more zombies if used effectively. We have the same principle as the original maps I mentioned, but so much more fun and effective. It is not overpowered unless used when sitting in a corner. I suspect the people who are claiming that we are overrating how much skill is needed are the people who clearly can't use it effectively. I will still have fun playing in coop, although that has nothing to do with this weapon. Since there is no NML mode, this was the closest thing. I could use it like a maniac and get to 50 in 83 minutes (my record). Most fun I've ever had in zombies. So I just don't play solo anymore as there is no challenge left. Treyarch have removed the fun to cater for the masses, the masses which don't even realise what has been done. -
ATTN Treyarch - sledgehammer and the fly
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm very tired and will flesh out a response tomorrow but to summarise - very cheap ploy to get people to buy the hardened addition left me pretty bitter, and they have nerfed a weapon which less than 5% of the people who will play Die Rise will even realise.....and it's that 5% which the game has been ruined for. -
ATTN Treyarch - sledgehammer and the fly
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nick there have been suggestions all over the place. All they have to do is revert the patched liquifier to how it was before. I don't mind the changes that make extra puddles on the floor, even though it makes it much more difficult. But the fact that it doesn't chain anymore is madness. The complaints are for a reason. They have a jet gun broken for 4 months, which in truth led it to be the most overpowered infinite ammo gun in history, and then a brilliant gun which takes massive skill to use is completely nerfed for absolutely no good reason. It's complete nonsense for Treyarch. I paid 30 pound more or so for the hardened addition, mainly to get nuketown and then it's released as a download a month later for much less than that. -
Hey guys, let's hope you can hear me on this. So you patched BO2, but it seems you kinda over reacted and have once again ruined your best map yet, Die Rise. The liquid gun was perfect....your shoddy programming allowed it to be abused, but it didn't make the gun overpowered. It was clearly always designed to allow chains, hence the blue stuff moving between zombies. The thing is chains were incredibly difficult to manage, yet this is what made the map so much fun. It's also what took away from the overpoweredness....you had to really know what you were doing to actually use it to it's full effect. It meant you could get to high rounds relatively quickly, without going box whoring over and over again. You also patched the 2 glitch locations, the galva and the an-94. Was this not enough for you guys. The community as a whole is pretty much in uproar over this. PS3 and PC users have been watching how much fun people have been having using this gun, and you have taken it away from them. Why did you use a sledgehammer to kill a fly? You also patched the jet gun.....4 months after you knew it was useless. How does that make any sense? Every man and his dog has used it for high rounds, and you patch it 4 months after release, yet screw up the liquid gun 3 weeks after the release of it. You clearly saw the outrage on youtube regarding the glitch locations, which is where your reaction came from as you do claim to listen to the community. So I ask again, why exactly did you patch this gun so much? People are going back to BO zombies for this. You screwed the community initially on releasing nuketown so soon after lots of people had paid extra for the privilege, and gave us that crap that was Tranzit. I know lots liked it, most in my opinion didn't. So then we got Die Rise, and everything was happy again. It seems to me that someone over there has some kind of ego problem, and didn't like how glitched their own game was. It's almost like they stuck their finger up and said well screw you guys, we screwed up but now we are going to make sure that it can't happen again. Fix the actual issue, not go way over the top. Yeah you have your money now, and people are still going to buy your map packs. Bravo. For all those that agree with me, please keep this post close to the top of active feeds for as long as possible. We all know that Treyarch look at this board, let's show them just how much of a f88k up they have done with this patch. And the worse thing is they have left in so many issues that actually mattered, like the death slides, and the randomness of who's who and fixed something that wasn't broken.
-
Well if you think about it, the gun was never designed to be used the way it was used by players in the past. Pulling it out and having to put it away again and killing 2 or 3 zombies at a time was clearly never intended by the game makers. They fixed it, pure and simple. The boards should be reset.
-
You now "hot join" random games. (Tested only on Xbox)
Chopper replied to MrGibbs's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm not sure what to think about this. It doesn't make much of a difference to me. Generally I play on custom with friends, mainly so that we can bring friends in that appear online. Although occasionally we do want to play games that we want to appear on the boards and we force these to be either 2 or 3 players by using second controllers. This would ruin that I have realised. Whilst I can see Treyarch's reasoning for this, there should be an option which allows players to stop this happening. Like all the lobby need to agree that they are happy with others being brought in mid game. -
Der Riese is still the best map
Chopper replied to ThrowAmonkeyBomb's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think Die Rise is the best zombie map so far. New bosses which are actually somewhat challenging, the map encourages team work but gives a perk for when playing with randoms. Best wonder weapon ever created, DT2 and PDW. Both an easy kiting area for solo and some fairly challenging but very exciting ones. Moving elevators require some careful planning for perk runs, but who's who negates the need for this somewhat. More buildables but actually in places that don't requires hours or running around to get. Sure it's a bit glitchy, but the patches should solve most of these problems eventually. Can't get enough of Die Rise. Kino used to be my favourite, but this has surely taken it's place now. -
It's tough mate, NML helps a lot I think as you are constantly concentrating in there. This room is all about concentration.....it's somewhat easy if you manage to keep the concentration but on many times I have failed due to stop thinking for like a split second. Need to try and keep making good decisions on how to kite. I don't believe the sushi bar is easy as I've explained above. Less than 10 legit 100's posted, in a room where it can be done in 8 hours is testament to that. The overpoweredness of the liquid gun in creating chains is what makes it so difficult in here.
-
Hahaha, I did round 100 in just over 8 hours and only had to hit the box once. True skill though is clearly sitting in a corner not moving for 4 hours. I know which one I want to do. The chain reaction still works, so you can still kill more than just a single hoard. It's not meant to be a game where anyone and their dog can get to 100, it's meant to be a combination of skill and endurance. These glitches just let scrubs get to 100 and think they were boss. Pathetic in my opinion. If you truly think though that playing for 15 hours does not take skill, then there really is no reasoning with you. They drop on your head in the Galva area, and in the AN94 now jump over the wall as well which goes to the Buddha room.
-
For all those who say this was legitimate. It has now been patched by the game makers. The AN-94 has also been patched. Clearly it was never intended to be exploited like this by the game makers. For all those who were justifying it, looks like you need to use your skills now to actually get a decent round.
-
Peace mate, I like your comm style. I wouldn't worry too much about disrespecting me, I possibly deserved it (even though I don't think you did) from a somewhat harsh reply whether I had my reasons or not.
-
I get what you are saying mate. If I'm going to be constructive I do not see the point in this. The time you gain in building it, you lose in doing meaningful things if that makes sense. You spend 3 minutes to get to the box, with no points to use it. You are now in a slow spawning area. It just makes more sense to do constructive stuff, like the first few rounds in the quickest place, which is the bottom of the elevator shaft from spawn. Your video is definitely original and is the fastest way to do it, I just don't see the point of it man. In those 3 minutes I have a single zombie left on round 3, and pretty much have the liquid gun built with very close to 3k in points to get the Bowie.

Quick Revive elevator always has power in solo.

Someone posted a video on here showing how to move the parts. 5and5 then did a video explaining the same thing with other tips and tricks. My friend MegaTinyBoy also posted a video, explaining how to move the parts. Relaxing just posted a video showing the strafe jump, so giving credit to him does not work towards the moving parts thing. I see so much stealing recently, and some of it has happened to good friends of mine by big channels that I'm a bit sick of it. I happen to swear a lot, and didn't swear at you to give offense, just to show my exasperation.

I've seen 3 others post this video, including someone else on this site. At least give credit as this isn't your original idea.

What Defines Boosting in Zombies?
Chopper replied to perfectlemonade's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I almost didn't answer this as I suspect a somewhat troll post, but i'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Yes, yes, yes and no. I'm saying no to noob tube for grenade kills, as it's an effective strategy for getting lots of kills on insta. Not in the galva area though. The rest are clearly boosting in any definition of the word. After long discussions with many people I have come to the conclusion that there is only one situation when the galva knuckle is ok in my mind to use. I will be going for 115 this week, however I need to do it on local over 2 or 3 days. If I get there, or even higher I would consider it ok to then go and match my legit score done on local, online using that glitch. Although I probably wouldn't bother, I would consider it ok. -
If someone is carrying a buildable part for the gun, but not the built gun and dies the part stays where they bled out. If they die with the gun, it goes back into the box. Played a 3p game to 49 last night before getting a GSpawnEntity error, and we had to recycle it 5 or 6 times. We were all offered the gun once it had been put back in the box.

Quick unlisted video for you guys. This is a 140 second chain. A new 50 point comes up at least once per second. This could be a 300 kill chain fairly easily here. PadvQw-LFKQ

What Defines Boosting in Zombies?
Chopper replied to perfectlemonade's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I consider it boosting if you are using it to 'boost' your leaderboards. I recently discovered that you can use a second account to gain revives for instance. As this is a great way of upping your stats then that would be straight up cheating. -
What Defines Boosting in Zombies?
Chopper replied to perfectlemonade's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Boosting - I both get 3 downs in Tranzit to get perma jugg, and have on many occasions downed myself many times to enable someone to get QR and then got it back in return. I use both of these mainly for challenges, although if I was starting a game on Die Rise I would do the Jugg thing too. Getting Jugg just means I can start a little bit quicker. When I'm playing a solo game for 8 hours or so, saving 5 minutes at the start is a nice thing to me. I don't consider them boosting....every single challenge ends up on youtube, as do many others. As everyone is doing it, I don't see a problem with it. Sounds a bit Lance Armstrong, but it's not like we are competing for millions of dollars now is it. We are just having fun. -
Persistent Upgrades, obtaining, functions and losing
Chopper replied to A Drunk Soviet's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Fair point mate. I thought the 2 downs thing had been pointed out before which is why I didn't credit it. You wouldn't buy jugg only for particular challenges. -
Persistent Upgrades, obtaining, functions and losing
Chopper replied to A Drunk Soviet's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You may think this, however my video a few posts above this proves that what you say isn't true mate. -
Jog on mate, you sound like some kind of elitist then. Why would you not use the wonder weapons? Of course it takes skills to use them properly, any newb can spray and pray but you don't get to round 50 by doing this. I can get games with over 80% headshots, and it is fun sometimes but to only play that way and ignore the WWs is stupid in my opinion. You are missing a whole world of fun in itself.
