Completely agree with this. I've posted the same before....if I had 7 hits instead of just 5 I truly can't imagine ever being downed whilst kiting anywhere. Sure I'd still get downed by getting trapped in a silly area but it would make somewhere like the AK room on Shang suddenly almost easy. 2 extra hits is a lot.

You're right dude. Hypothetically though if Treyarch were to use one they would use IMO someone who is known as a really really pro player.....we know they listen to the community, and I'm not talking about the 'fluff' zombie community who only talk on the official boards or GFaqs. So on this I think if they were to pick a star, it would be a known 'pro'. Relaxing would say '.................................'

I don't know why I listed only 3. Here is my list of who I believe the best zombie players in the world are on youtube. ll5tevell MatoMaster Superhands89 TheRelaxingEnd VizuaLxVenoM NaziZombieGaming CertifiedZombies Tom852000123 Jloves2game These are the only ones who I know I will definitely watch the videos for gameplay alone. All of these guys are on a completely different level to Mr Syndicate. I actually enjoy Syndicates videos, I think he is a great commentator. For those newer members who have joined recently, and think Syndicate is the bomb - I think if you spend anytime on this site your opinion will be changed as to what constitutes a great player. TBH 1/2 the regular members here are at least on par with the guy.

Fixed your post. Oh dear.
-
The flaw in this are that none are zombie youtube stars. I'll give a different list - Relaxing Mato Nazi|ZombieGaming These are probably the 3 best youtube stars. Not necessarily the best 3 players, but certainly the best that are 'stars'.

What's your favourite Perk-a-Cola?
Chopper replied to Perk-a-Cola's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm not going to vote as I don't really have one. If you are talking about my favorite it's tough - speed, stamina and double tip all make the game more fun. PHD and Juggs might make it easier, but they aren't my favorites as they are necessities. I even like deadshot when I get it randomly, for certain guns it's brilliant. All I know is that on any 1 game Juggs is the only perk I know for certain I'm going to get, and stamina is probably the one I want the most, but don't always get. -
No you are exactly the same as me. I have more than enough brains already, but I find it frustrating when people give out brains as you have said Jay. If someone agrees with someone, they often get brains just for agreeing. Then someone does something truly remarkable, and get no recognition. I give out brains for something that impresses me or makes me laugh. Certainly not because someone agreed with something I said.
-
It's a shame I have to abuse my brains to give entirely deserved brains to the same person, who happens to keep doing amazing work. We have been talking on the staff about changing the system slightly, so that our longer standard and high quality members are able to give more brains than they currently are. I think this will help the strategy guys out, it's a smaller group than the theorists and the brains are often coming from the same group of people, who are then restricted from giving them out again.

The Trinity - Super, Chopper & Tom's guide to Shang 100 p1
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Shangri-La
They will get something entirely different, a sick 100 montage. I will do a HIS episode for my channel on Shang too, but this was just for the strategy me and hands worked on for CODZ. Probably why I was so upset about it. -
Go for Ascension, it's by far the easiest. Don't rush the first 50, in a way they are the most difficult. Have realistic goals for each session, ie, from round 80-90 this one. Don't push it too hard. Be prepared for the boredom that comes once you have been doing the same thing for 6 plus hours. Work out how to deal with the monkeys using traps for the higher rounds...ie, touch a monkey so it follows you. You want to be the Pied Piper of the monkeys, and led them all around the map getting them of the perk machines before trapping them.
-
A good team-mate is someone who when playing on 48 on Ascension, and knows that you really have to get to 50 tonight for multiple reasons clutches the entire round, and then holds a crawler after you had to go and settle your baby. When they had pretty much no warning. Thanks Mr way2g00. Like way I'm fortunate to have many good slaying friends from this site. Too many to have in one match which is a real shame.
-
I'd like to add some of my feedback to this. If you are doing this from 41 to 47 the only thing to worry about is when 3 gas zombies spawn straight on that left wall. You have to move pretty quickly to the stairs when this happens and maybe once per round until 47 I had to use the Canon to just clear 1 zombie from the dressing room. The longer you delay getting onto the stairs, the safer it is Past 48 I didn't have this issue at all. Really good strategy mate.
-
On the poll, I'm going for Der Riese dude. Watching you do 100 on that map would personally bore me, I don't dig the colors or enjoy the map. You can be more artistic with Der Riese, I've seen your Verruckt circles but just having dogs on Der Riese will make it more fun I think :)

The Trinity - Super, Chopper & Tom's guide to Shang 100 p2
Chopper replied to Superhands's topic in Shangri-La
You are missing my point yeti. Yes the strategy has been seen before. But there is a world of difference between showing gameplay from a single round 72 co-op game, to writing and then bringing to life in video an entire strategy from round 1 - 100. I've always said that you are one of the most beastly co-op players on the site. I was saying that if that was an attempt at showing a strategy it is at best lazy, not that the gameplay itself is! 2 really good players could watch your video once and pull it off instinctively, what we attempted to do was flesh out the details and hopefully help others who may not understand why things are done in a certain way. -
Check your PM on that mate. I think you are right about that mindset, I'm much more relaxed playing with friends obviously, and it's just important to get through those first boring 10 rounds and stay alive, with a few points at the end! Anything else is just semantics :)

What I've realised on seeing the answers that the guys have given (myself included), is that zombies rarely seems to go to plan. Things happen later, earlier etc. For example, me and Way have played together a lot. I can't think of a single time where we actually did what either of us said we would. We probably came close, but never exactly. Often one of us wouldn't even get the Bowie/Sickle as it's a 3/4 bar situation. I think that as I've developed as a player I tend to roll with it a bit more. I used to go into all matches with such set ideas about the perfect way to do this and that, and it lead to a lot of frustrations. No, just what happens, happens. The key thing really is that you need to have Juggs or a Bowie by round 7 unless involved in some kind of holding strategy.
-
Re reading this I realised something - the M16 is really not fit to lace the boots of the AK or MP40. The AK cost per bullet vs damage is the lowest of all the wall SMG/ARs. If for any reason you are going to go to level 30 with only a wall gun are you really going to want to be using your right trigger finger that much!
-
I suppose it depends on who I'm playing with, and what our goals are. With good friends in a 4p party it's likely to be less serious. Generally that way I just get Juggs and then tear it up with a wall gun for a bit. The more that goes wrong the better IMO in these types of games. If I'm playing with one other player for a serious attempt it's going to be Bowie/Sickle for both, and serious speed rounds. Quick Revive is the only perk I care about in the first 9 rounds except Juggs. M&S immediately, try and get the box moved ASAP. I tend to find that with firesales, monkeys and gersches come a lot easier for the entire team. It also makes it faster. Spend the first 20 rounds, maybe 30 doing our own thing and killing as quickly as possible, Then somewhere between 20 and 30 start thinking about what strat we are running. With randoms, I'm hanging back, staying out of the way and waiting to see what they are going to do. Say Kino for instance - I'm pretty much opening doors 1 and 2 almost all of the time. I'm getting an MP40 as I know that I can stay in the spawn on my own for a long time if I have to. I'm trying to gauge what my new random buddies are going to do. Put it like this, I'm not moving anywhere until I have at least 5000 points, preferably 8000. This means that if my new buddies are box whoring the MP40, or all refusing to do anything at least I can open the next 2 doors, get the power on and get either Juggs or Bowie depending on my mood, or even better both. Generally in all random games I have Juggs, QR, Speedy and M&S by about round 12. I'm waiting for a firesale where I'm going to pick up the ballistic knife hopefully, or something like the dual CZs, single etc. Something that enables me to get a few shots in and then knife. I'm going to be on my own somewhere, possibly getting not that many zombies so I want to keep building points. The best thing to do with them is be in a game where you have some atrocious trolls, and let them all die out at a point of your choosing. You then clutch the round, have a crawler, hopefully have to hit the box at least 4 times to get a Thunder Gun so you can 'save' them next time and then cook a grenade ;)

I find the simplest way to do it by far is to buy mule kick once you have two weapons, and then buy a wall gun. So I always have M&S, and then AK/MPL/MP40 etc. Then buy another wall gun This will always be your 3rd gun. Just hit the box and change the original second weapon to a box gun. Now you always know what your second gun is. If you get the ray gun for instance and want it as your 3rd just change to that 3rd wall gun you bought. If you now want the other wonder for your second gun it's pretty simple, just don't give up the ray and M&S. It's just planning really. If you are buying Mule Kick it's normally for a specific reason, at least it should be. Just plan what you want your final weapon setup to be and make it happen with simple rules. So I imagine the only 3rd guns most strategic players would want would be - Ray Gun, Wall point/trap gun, Crossbow or Ballistic. So make sure one of those is always last! Murder pointed out very nicely that there is a 1% chance of the guns changing order, and I believe that they certainly can change as I've seen it before.

The Trinity - Super, Chopper & Tom's guide to Shang 100 p2
Chopper replied to Superhands's topic in Shangri-La
Thanks 5and5, I appreciate that response. I suppose part 1 is the only thing that was truly revolutionary.....Super did discover how to run the safe train and I discovered how to get to 45 or so just in the AK. As I said it took me a lot of attempts but I managed it. And for part 2 we took something that had been seen in a few videos for co-op, each and everytime with both players having multiple downs and turned it into a fully fleshed out strategy. I mean fully fleshed out here Yeti. You know, so that any player has some hope that they can actually do this someday. It's all very well putting a video up showing of your skills, but showing a nice and tidy round 72 or whatever does not show how to deal with a fire zombie, shrieker, running out of ammo etc. -

No one had run it to 100 before, as know one thought it was possible. The fact that an entire strategy was written for rounds 1-40, and then 41-100 which had never been done before deserves slightly more than you trying to justify that you had run this before. Showing a single non-commentated video without any text is at best a lazy way to show a strategy. I'd never seen any co-op video for Shangri-la until after I had already started thinking about it. I was explaining how I was trying to do it to a friend and he pointed me in the direction of another video showing what you are doing? Was you first with your video? I just don't get the mentality of someone who does not even comment on the unbelievable achievement of getting to round fucking 100 wiht no downs, and decides to just post their own video. -
Sorry Fatal. I think you should do Kino. I'm actually going to start a kino or moon run possibly today after having a bit of a recording disaster on Shang. I have from rounds 40-99 in a completely unuseable format, and I can't get the HD PVR to pick up my feed at the minute. So I have to convert a shed load of files and then try and get the HD PVR working again. I've seen this issue before, and it required a PS3 reboot. When you are paused on 99 you don't really want to do this! I'm trying for the quickest map this is not Ascension!
-
What I've been told about the box is that it can't appear in the first room due to programming. Just like you can't get firesale until the box has moved. The absolute only exception is on Kino when you teleport and go into the random rooms. Twice I've had firesales in there without ever hitting the box.

Napalm Zombie is permanent insta kill.....be very very selective about how and where you use him though. The 1/2 map loop to 30 takes 1:20 per spawn, then once past 30, it's around 40 seconds for the first 2, and then just over a minute to return to the AK room from spawn. The AK room only in the 20s and 30s can be as low as 30 seconds per spawn. The semtex/AK strat is around 22 seconds, maybe 27 or so if you are playing a little safer.
