I didn't think you did mate. I think its the one thing that really irritates me but tbh not sure we can change it. Its either anal or dictatorial which are things we try and stay away from :)

So Obama is in Brussels. He is staying around 250 metres from my house. Traffic is unimaginable and businesses are losing fortunes. Go USA.

Totally off topic but the Clinton was a decent president but the Clintons were assos. Bush was weak as a president but an honorable man.

I feel as if Obama doesn't take things as serious as he should or could. Its also like he is intimidated by other countries leaders but still always wants to be the first to jump into a situation

It's all very difficult to police or moderate. For starters I would be stricter on a lot of stuff, but realise its not necessarily appropriate for this forum. I'm not letting a personal issue of mine become policy or official. My posts try and be encouraging certain behaviour, rather than dictating the 'law'. I'm finding more and more that the board generally but not strictly speaking has 2 categories of users and I'd define them as young against old, or mature versus immature. However the immature behaviour that I see, is probably not seen as immature by many others. Its all very difficult to define and make rules for. Going to have to poll some stuff me thinks.

Gut wrenching failure...........F##K!
Chopper replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The spawns are designed to be terribly slow on the PAD. For those that aren't aware, there are 4 different spawns in NML in the main game. Left hand side. Right hand side. Split. Decreased. Looking out from the teleporter PAD, right and left are pretty clear. The faster spawns are always the left and right only. The absolute ideal way to gather all the hoard is to loop through the cage, to collect stragglers from either side before shooting on the corner. If you have to circle to the side drop, you generally lose 4/5 seconds. The split spawn is a bit slower than these two, but not majorly so. The main issue with the PAD is the total distance they have to travel before being in range. Using my example of fastest way to hoard them, imagine that if I have hoarded them all and am ready to shoot, if you happened to be on the PAD on the same spawn then you have to at minimum wait for them to get all the way from the cage, to the PAD. That's maybe 7 seconds anyway. When you couple this with the fact that you have no dogs, so a couple of extra zombies need to spawn each hoard you can see why the spawns are consistently slower. You generally get more split spawns too. A key to NML seems to be getting into a rhythm where your shots are roughly the same time apart. What messes this up is leaving damaged zombies, which can cause all kinds of problems for the next spawns. -
Wow Jay thank you so much for telling me that. That's always been the only reason for me to make videos, to get a few people who genuinely love them rather than 1000's of subs. Here is a pretty cool little NML vid - I was testing the song and someone else wanted to see this particular start, but the song wont play on mobile devices so it's perfect for here About the best start you can do on the 3 main points - ammo, kills and time. It's maybe 2 seconds down, and up to 3 kills down although I'd say only 1. One day I will explain all that has been discovered about NML but a lot is still our best guesses with no proof. For instance if your first grenade goes off before the 45 second buzzer or doesn't hit 20 zombies, the first spawn after the PAD nade is always slow. Or 95% of the time. Inversely, if it goes off after the buzzer and hits all 20, it will always be a fast spawn but rarely will the spawn that goes up onto the PAD be a full 20. The 3rd spawn after the 2nd nade is rarely more than 15...it seems it can only be more if you kill less than 20 on the spawn before......and it goes on and on.

I have spoken with Sithbas a lot today. I have known the guy for 2 years at least, and have never once not had a fun game playing with him. The games that we used to play with Eye and Way, were always so much fun. He introduced me to a lot of new players, some of whom I still play with. On hearing his explanations for both Kino and Five, I believe him. I believe he has modded and hacked in the past, but never for a game which he claimed on the ZR leaderboards or a WR. My main basis for believing him is that he is too intelligent and switched on to get caught. It is so easy to edit with Vegas that the mistake that Wings pointed out on the Five run just doesn't make sense. You hack a game for a week, and then miss something that would take a split second to fix in Vegas? I maybe wrong, but I don't think so. His Shang explanation is backed up apparently by Pishizor according to Sith's blog, who is a bit of a PC genius. The best strategies were all discovered pretty much on PC with modding, so it certainly exists. Wings is being very careful in his responses to me as I believe he knows I am talking sense in what I am saying. He had a channel of around 3k in subs way way way back in the day, after the Five video. If he was prepared to hack that, why didn't he hack every world record. I know something that is abundantly true - if I was to hack once, and got away with it I would do it again. Greed causes this, which to me is still the only reason Super did what he did. BTW, if Super came back I would talk to him as if nothing happened. It's just a game at the end of the day. I don't want to belittle the people going for records, not only because a lot of them are good friends of mine but also because something that we put time into does mean something to us. There is not a single questionable score on zombierecords, Sith has none on and so I really don't see what the problem is. You are right Stret, he is a troll and I should not waste my time. However, I believe that there is much more to this than meets the eye, and if what I suspect is true happens to be true I will not see it as wasting my time to try and make it right.

Wings is a complete scumbag. He honestly makes me want to use my resources and time to cause him genuine non violent grief.

I think a large difference in thinking is that I only do 2 staffs whereas I believe you guys are talking about doing the EE. As the full EE is believed to have been responsible for some of the highest rounds being glitched there are no benefits apart from the situation of swapping staffs in crazy place for ammo. You can do 100 without doing this and if you aren't playing anywhere near that level then you only need the ice staff. My point is unless you are doing it purely to have fun with the staffs, it isn't worth doing which is why I suggest racing to 8 and digging on 10 as its the most practical way to play Edit - just thinking about this some more...could one of you guys let me know how long it takes you to get to the end of round 8 and 10 playing the way you do? I'd really appreciate it for some comparison as I loved origins.
-
It would cost more in the short to long term, against the chance of making a little income sometime in the future. As someone who was involved in zombie records, and someone who understands the sites finances as is, I'm still against it. It's up to the staff tbh, but that is my opinion.

Yeah I can see why that would work mate, it's a better camping spot anyway, and the SVU is ridiculous. Pure camping, or part kiting?
-
Yes I think that would be great. A leaderboard that requires an active membership to this forum to be on would be brilliant. Just not publicised if you know what I mean. We really imo do not want to be dealing with some of the dregs and complete arseholes that populate youtube

I maintain that the best way to play Origins is to rush to round 8 with Jugg and an MP40 and learn how to get it done. It's really not that hard once you learn it, and after that you are so much more comfortable playing that map. If you do everything beforehand, and then go down on round 8 anyway, you have just thrown so much time away. And I don't believe that there's anyone out there who hasn't done exactly what I said. The best way to deal with Panzer is the start in the mud by generator 4, stay in the mud until you hear the Panzer very close by and then move onto generator 4. From there, turn left towards the back of the tunnel, pass it, turn left and head all the way down to the footprint with the MP40. Everything pretty much behind you, and you can keep doing that circle slowly, killing the zombies one by one with the Panzer always in control.

Semantically I agree with your statement. From a realistic viewpoint, I disagree with the proven fact part of it. You can camp to at best round 38ish, which is a big push in itself. That's coop as solo is very different. On a 4p game, it's going to take 4-5 hours to get to between say round 35 and 40. That's about the limit for many players. When you look at that information, most people aren't going to reach the terminal limit of camping. Once you look at weapon choice, and box necessity it's clear to me that if you want to camp to round 35, without hitting the box at the end of every round in the 30s you need a brilliant wall weapon. The only one which is good enough to get you that high is the AN-94 and that includes DT2. As it's location is not ideal on any map, except maybe Buried with the chalk outlines it's kinda null. I do know that on DIe Rise, using the AN-94 and Sallies only, myself, KingJaq, Relaxing and Christian got to 38. It was the boss round on 37, and I doubt we would have survived a zombie round then. Camping is the best strategy for almost all 3 or 4 players games, running is the best strategy for solo or coop. Most 3 or 4 players games aren't generally getting high enough to make camping terminal. Running circles in a 3 or 4 player game is about the most boring thing I can literally think of doing, so for me camping is King.

I tend to lead the majority of the time. My friends and I always plan our various strategies carefully, but when shit goes wrong you need one voice 'advising'. I'm a pretty loud and chatty person as everyone who has ever played with me will confirm so it tends to make sense. In the few random lobbies I play, it all depends on how the others are. If they want to play as a team generally I will have the most knowledge and will be forthright with it. I only take control if it goes really wonky and someone is on the verge of leaving.

I would be against having them on here. Not only for reasons that others have mentioned, but mainly down to some of the people who would then be visiting here and putting complaining threads all over the forum. Someone I know is in the process of setting up a site for this. They have a big enough channel that they can make it work and I will be somewhat involved so can assure all out there that there will be a new community site up soon, with what you guys want.

I'm certain I know where less than 50% of all the parts are and that might even be high. I know all die rise and origins, along with motd shield. That's it I think.

You are right this is a personal thing for me, as opposed to something I would have as a staff issue. It doesn't make a great deal of difference to the board in general but it is something that I want to express my personal opinion on. I agree with what you said about likes, and believe it is a good compromise. I don't even think it's a compromise, it's just a good idea which makes good sense anyway. I understand your point of welcome to the internet but in this case we have re-implemented a system which all the older users wanted, which is now being used in a completely different way to how it used to be. That's my main issue. Call it melancholy if you wish. The site wouldn't work without people only posting for a laugh; it needs all kinds of posters to exist. I just wish that brains were kept for the posts which required more thought than a quip, or a little photo shopping. Things like that are perfect for likes.

I would suggest a like system which doesn't actually count, rather like the facebook system. A like would be an acknowledgement from yourself that you 'like' the post, be that because it's funny or stupid, or even that you just agree with the point. It wouldn't appear anywhere on your profile, just on the pertinent post. Brains - look at the name. They are designed for when someone posts something 'Brainy', not that you like. It really sickens me to see posts that are extremely well formatted and written get ignored, and a picture gets 4 brains. Wrong, wrong and wrong.

In the current system brains have literally no value. We are not dictators and will not moderate it. Its a shame the way this site is heading with content gradually becoming more and more childish. Those examples posted by Nai say it all really. Whilst we have members called 12 year old virgin getting brains for quoting Eminem lyrics and pictures like that getting rewarded we have a serious maturity issue. Maybe that's why a lot of mature members have left. Rant over.

This isn't a CoC issue, nor is anyone going to get warned or posts removed for doing this. I never said that the staff require, just that I think this. I understand your point Jay, but believe that there are a lot of people in the same boat as me on this. Sure there are some threads where those short replies are useful, and even the point of the thread but on some of the more serious issues, and well thought of threads if you really agree, brain it rather than saying it. I think the forums and threads look much less clustered like that, and are easier and more enjoyable to read. I'll state again, this isn't something that we would ever moderate, more like suggest in hope, backed up by other members who feel the same.

I know I've discussed this before but not for a while. It depends on your definition of easy. Rather than reiterate points that others have already given, I will say that in solo you have 4 downs, in coop you have infinite with the right team mate. Excluding the environmental and technological issues of coop, it's definitely easier for the above reason. I'm basing this on 2 players who are at least average. Even more so, coop is easier for players worse than average. It goes back to the same point, in solo as a bad player you are on your own, in coop you have someone to help you. Solo is only easier when doing really extreme games, 100 pluses I would suggest.

Hey Guys, This has been mentioned before and is a bug bear of a lot of members. Non responses. I'm talking about those 3 word lines you post; 'I agree', 'too funny' etc, Add this response to the massive signatures that some have and it seems often that half the content I view, is meaningless. This site should be better than that. Obviously there is a place for some very short responses, but I think too many people are using them all over the place, dare I say it, just to up their post count or to be seen posting. Please consider your responses, and whether they are actually adding something to the discussion. If you agree with someone, don't just say that you agree, expand on the point and say why. Thank you. Chopper
