Hey Hells... if you can get it installed that would be great. Don't worry about last night though... it happens to all of us at some point or other.

I think I have the cable from the old hdd for the white xbox, I destroyed one once for the cable for it. Xbox was goosed.
I might connect my HDD to the boys XBox, install it and then play it on mine. Apparently plays fine on his.

Your Feelings About The Future Of Zombies.
Chopper replied to Matuzz's topic in Research & Development
The thing is, what I suggested was not that at all. I suggested that for any map, they have 3 modes, allowing people to play survival only with no buildables. Anything they can create for a map, be a buildable or objective, can be removed for a particular mode. If mod tools were ever released for BO1, I could see lots more people getting gaming PCs and laptops. -
Chopper's Speed Run Guide To Kino - Version 2014
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Kino Der Toten
I will get it done mate. I can only do stuff like this every other week, as I don't have my editing stuff with me in Brussels. That's mainly due to me having to wait for HP to send me recovery disks, after I kinda wiped windows 8. Linux just doesn't sony vegas pro, and I'll be damned if I'm going to learn some new software. I'm back tomorrow, plan to play some heavy NML this week going for 360, but I'll finish this as well. I'll also add you DBZ; me, you and Hell can get some games down. My man boysta and I are on pretty much every night, always looking for 1 or 2 more for various challenges Yeah spawn room is good. TBH, once worked out Kino first room strategy is really really easy. I'd almost argue to do the first 30 rounds or so in there without turning the power on if you manage to get at least a set of monkeys and a ray gun from the box. It's ultra quick, requires two windows boarded only and is much much fun -
What's your best WTF moment?
Chopper replied to Hells Warrrior's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I had forgotten about this. Surely this is the ultimate WTF? -
Well Nai I gave you that first one and would stick by it. Its not so much that I agree with it, more how you have provided an argument which counters something else in a rational and concise way. My point on brains has always been zombie content only. Anything else is just semantics to that point in my mind. Your post is zombie related, well formatted with punctuation and grammar and contains a very good point.

Sledgehammer confirmed to be making 2014 CoD!

BO takes more skill for sure. The zombies in BO2 are more aggressive, but they hit you from further away in BO1. -

Tranzit - I don't know anyone who liked that map. I'm probably biased on that point....I had the game 4 days before release, and had already done 40 coop and 50 solo on it pre launch. All the people I know, thought it sucked. Like hard. Even the guys who got WRs on it thought it sucked. None of us though care for the story, just the game play. I've never known how much difference it makes on that one. ZOTD - Die Rise needs the liquid, although that's not really a big deal. MOTD needs a shield really. Buried needs big sub thing and generator, and Origins really really needs the staffs. Out of those, only Origins is really difficult I suppose. However, MOTD and Buried just seem such a drag to start, it's just not for me. The great thing about this thread is seeing just how different people's opinions are. I have no intention of changing anyone's mind, just letting the game makers know of my personal opinion, and seeing if others can make me see things slightly differently. -
I'm the grinch who instigated this. Maybe I'm wrong on this, I only think brains should be for zombie related topics. Although guides to using the forums and such should clearly receive them aswell. Off topic and introductions not having them I'm all for. Craig's summations are much better than mine

Sledgehammer confirmed to be making 2014 CoD!
Chopper replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It depends on what you personally define as annoying. On pretty much every BO2 map you have to build some stuff. To me, doing that over and over is boring. I imagine that if you have played BO to death, you are more than likely doing the same thing repeatedly. Stage Kino, Pad on Ascension, Lighthouse on COTD etc. I could be completely wrong in that and if I am misjudging, I apologise in advance. People play for different reasons, and get enjoyment from different things. For instance, I saw Jay made a post about PP, personal property the other day. He was talking about the Thompson in Der Riese in a 4p game, and how he was in his area and people were coming through it. I only play 4p with friends luckily, but the thought of each having an individual area, whilst making sense from a pure strategic point of view is boring to me. Get together, get stuck in and it's always fun. My point is, there are so many different ways to play, and things to do, I can't see how it can get boring. Sure, I don't play every day, which helps keep it somewhat fresh. Take Kino - ways to play for high rounds. MP40 room only, Spawn room only, Electric Trap room only, Alley only, Dressing room only.....people have been to 50 in every location. The principle of zombies in itself will lead to boredom....once you max your high round, what are you actually playing for? But if you have the right mindset, and it suits you, then zombies in BO1 is infinite fun....at least to me. BO2 is infinite boredom. -
I honestly don't care if they bring new modes or not. All I care about is having a proper survival mode, in simplistic form. Doors to open, power to turn on, perks to buy. No buildables. No objectives. I don't care if there are buildables and objectives in other modes, but just have a basic survival mode. Hell, zombies started like that in WAW, with power, perks and the box being added to the second map, and PAP to the 4th. Is it really that difficult to do another map like that?

My plea to Treyarch - ranking and purchasable content
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Research & Development
Cosmetic changes are cool. If someone wants to spend $5 or whatever to get gold guns, diamond etc I'm fine. My overall point is that no content should be exclusive which gives something extra. Being able to purchase a deathmachine for instance, and having it on round 1. Mauser versus M1911 for instance is a funny one; I could argue that either is better than the other, PAPed, depending on the situation. I understand what Mocking is saying regarding playing style, but depending on the map and environment, a mauser or a M1911 could be more than preference, and actual advantage. My ultimate nightmare is buyable wonder weapons. I really could see that happening. -

Chopper replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Zombies Discussion
If they concentrate on the story more than the maps, they will win. I don't even care about it, but I've heard a lot say that it doesn't make sense, or doesn't have the depth of BO1. It seems to me that they had an idea of a map, and buildables and then forced the story around that. If they concentrate on the story this time, they will be on the right path IMO. -
Hey Guys, I have seen a few guys and gals talking about having content as part of DLCs. Guns and stuff. I can't stress how strongly that this is a bad idea. Zombies mode is meant to be simple. Each and every game you start the same way. There should be no way of starting with anything extra, be it via a purchased weapon or as a result of your ranking. The point is that a brand new player, can get to rank 1. If you start introducing different weapons for those that spend, that just goes out the window. If you introduce this, you will ruin zombies for multiple people. Unless it's done within custom matches, maybe that would be fine. I have friends who out of principle would not purchase any additional content outside of map DLCs. If it becomes the case that a group of us can't play the same mode with the same weapons due to one or more of our crew haven't not purchased something, that's kinda screwed up. I hope that not only Treyarch listen to this, but that others feel the same way. Chopper.

The main problem with any ranking system is that it just doesn't suit zombies until the modes and leaderboards are somewhat split. You have put a lot of effort into this Mr Mocking, and to me it does make sense. Ranking is always a funny topic. You have high rounds, first rooms and challenges as the main components of zombies. High round players by default will always get the highest rank.....low downs, lots of kills and high rounds. First room players and challenge players will always get screwed on any ranking system, unless Treyarch makes different modes. People protecting ranks is rife.....IMO playing the same game over and over again, always going for say round 50 and above is incredibly boring. The way to spice this up is with challenges, which destroys your rank. I know people who haven't got shotguns, and never will on BO2 who are better than 99.99% of the shotguns out there. Unless Treyarch introduce new modes which encourage people to play the game in ways without worrying about their ranking, it will always be a flawed system. How hard would it be to introduce custom leaderboards? Doors not buyable for instance starts first room mode. Power not available starts no power mode. I'd love the idea of being able to lock down particular areas but it just wouldn't work. If we are going to split leaderboards, survival, first room and no power are easy to do with minimal effort for developers; but maximum results to the more hardcore zombie player who couldn't give a .... what their rank is. It would mean that you could have 3 different ranks across the modes, or just one rank for survival which would be my preferred option. Actually, my preferred option would be ranking for all 3 modes I suggested, but can imagine that it would be too much like hard work for Treyarch to do this, as it would involve creating 2 new systems....when they flunked the only one they have done before. Just adding no doors and no power as a mode, would make a world of difference.

Sledgehammer confirmed to be making 2014 CoD!
Chopper replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm somewhat blasé about the whole situation. The best zombies engine was BO1. It was more challenging than BO2, and everyone I know preferred it. For my personal situation, I don't play multiplayer, I only play zombies. The best zombie maps are Verruckt, Der Riese and Kino. No BO2 map comes close to any of these classics. None of the BO2 maps had any of the feel that these did. Most of the big zombie youtubers prefer the older maps. The ironic thing is that regardless, I will buy the next game and the DLCs. If they turn out to be as bad as BO2, treyarch will still have my money. I'm feeling somewhat cynical today, but I just don't believe the developers listened to this community with any of the BO2 maps. Too many new things, too much space. Why would they listen now, when they are fully aware that the game is going to be purchased by people regardless of what they do. Sure, there maybe some people who don't buy it and wait, but it's a huge minority. Treyarch get their money either way. If Treyarch had listened they could have cobbled together an old feel style map as a DLC, or brought one of the classics out with new weapons on the new engine. The way they treated the Die Rise sliquifier was atrocious. Completely ham handed over-reaction to a mistake they brought on themselves by shoddy map design. I imagine there are people here who agree with me, it's only gameplay that's relevant, there will be people who only care for the story and then there will be the majority who are buying the game for multiplayer and couldn't care less about zombies. Rant or not, it's how I feel. Treyarch fucked up with BO2, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again with BO3. I can literally imagine that their focus group consisted of people who cared not at all about the zombies mode itself. 'Yeah man, let's make it really BIG! Big is always better!' 'Make stuff that can be built! People always want to build things.....hundreds and hundreds of times.' I had always hoped that having Carbon over there would have made a difference. Clearly not. -
I believe it is technically possible, but that it won't happen. Steve has the current highest with 381, and Mato has the highest probable score game currently known. 378 kills with 8 bullets left, then Alvar has 378 too. Zeus has 377. I speak to all these guys, Steve all the time about NML. Yes, it is possible, but the game needs to be absolutely perfect both as a player kiting perfectly, and the random spawns being perfect. Mato said that his game was absolutely perfect pretty much, yet he was 22 kills short with only 8 bullets left. The 8 bullets he had left *may* have killed a hoard, but it might have needed 9. Either way, 8 or 9 required, he would have still been on 398. What is required for a 400 kill game? I will attempt the math. 60 and above kill PAP, guns out before 1:50. 1st shot down before 1:55, 2nd before 2:20, 3rd before 2:45. That would be 120 kills, 3 bullets used. As a reference, in Steve's game, he had 117 kills at 2:50, 4 bullets used. 120 kills - 47/6-6 140 kills - 45/6-6 160 kills - 43/6-6 180 kills - 41/6-6 200 kills - 39/6-6 220 kills - 37/6-6 240 kills - 35/6-6 ***** This is the last group that can be a 2 shot group. No-one has actually done this well before, the closest was Steve on 226 kills, with 33/6-6 left. He lost a bullet on the 3rd group, and one on that last 2 shot group. The last 2 shot group comes at around 5:30, and the only way to do it is to use the cage walls to increase the splash damage. Luck comes into it. 260 kills - 32/6-6 280 kills - 29/6-6 ***** this is potentially a 3 shot group, but it depends on how close to the last 2 shot group you actually are. The closer you are, the less likely you are to get a 2nd 3 shot group. 300 kills - 25/6-6 320 kills - 21/6-6 340 kills - 16/6-6 360 kills - 22/6-6 380 kills - 15/6-6 400 kills - 7/6-6 420 kills - 5-6 440 kills - 1-1 The theoretical limit on NML is the above, 440 kills. You can only waste 2 shots, as that's all you have spare throughout the game. Those last 2 bullets left, can be wasted. However, everytime you go below those 2 spare, you need to realise you lose a hoard. So, we are straight down to 420, with theoretically 11 bullets to be wasted throughtout the game. To do the above, you need to get every single hoard with 20 kills...losing even one kill per hoard, which past 3 shots is kinda easy to do, even if you only lose past 2 shots takes the total down by 11 more. Down to 409. All hoards need to be perfectly timed. I believe people will come close to the limit, but no-one will get 400 kills. That is my opinion having played this mode extensively, and having spent hours discussing the ins and outs with the best in the business. Note - some of my numbers could be argued a little, but not more than a bullet or 2 here or there. Certainly not enough to gain the 9/10 shots required for a whole additional group.

The only EE I have done either solo or coop was origins and I did it both ways. Never had much interest in them to be honest.

Hey Guys, The staff have been considering how to further increase the social aspect of this site, and an idea being discussed is regularly streamed events/playdates. Nothing is decided and we are looking for options. This plugin has been installed and this is an example of what it would look like on the site. An applet is also available which lists various different stream names and who is live currently. http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php?app=livestreams&module=streams§ion=stream&stream=3 We are looking for people who have the capability to stream and go into a somewhat rolling rota for official streams. Any other suggestions you may have around this would be appreciated. My idea would be to have an official stream bi-weekly, with a different streamer/host each time playing with other CODZ members. Even if it only gives a regular place for members to go and have a chat with each other, I thought it would be good. Chopper

Chopper's Speed Run Guide To Kino - Version 2014
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Kino Der Toten
Yeah that would be great mate. I have never done insta kill, and will probably not. I can see myself playing for the 10 hours or what not required for 100, even over 2 days......but when you are looking at 30 hours over 3 days, it's just not going to happen for me. It's weird but I know so much about them, but only because I have been in parties with a fair few people who have been on those rounds. Would be great if you could write anything, and I could add any little snippets of information my friends have told me. I'm not sure that DT affects the Ray Gun, but if it did it would be worthwhile. Managing ammo across the TG and RG is easier when you can really get rid of a hoard quickly with a RG. Thanks J. I think the key is in the lack of novas, rather than the rest. If no novas will save you I reckon 20 minutes at least to 50, you can waste 20 minutes getting setup in comfort -

Unfortunately you need to PAP the crossbow which means entering spawn. But you can get to 100 in 8 hours, which is really quick. -
Chopper's Speed Run Guide To Kino - Version 2014
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Kino Der Toten
Sorry Jay I assumed some things which I should have added. Nova crawlers will only appear in certain areas once you 'activate' their locations. making the roofs drop giving them a path to you. If you are in the MPL room with the back door shut, zombies only spawn from that room and spawn. You want to stop novas spawning in the spawn room, and so once you turn the power on you can't go back into spawn. There is a line where the floor changes colour leading to the teleporter pad that you can't cross. You can hit the box by doing as I said and entering from PM63, and not getting too close. The main strategy is getting into the MPL room with no novas and setup. You could do that in the safest way you want, maybe running the stage until 20 and you will still get the bonus and additional challenge of no novas in a really fun area to run. -
Why do I not have Hells Warrior and DeathBringer, 2 fellow UK xbox slayers on my Friends list?
