This is totally true, most good players are discovering areas for themselves for straight up kiting. Individualism comes into creating strategies which don't necessarily revolve around kiting only, and are for more than 1 player. No-one can invent and discover a kite singuarly, however you can argue that strategies and tactics can be developed by fewer people. This does not mean that they are the only ones to think of them, but there are certainly less people doing this than kiting. Nice vid Super.

When their Youtube videos are garnering 10x's more views than my threads, and the yt directors are getting all the "thank you's" in the comments for the info provided, then it's really hard to say I own those theories anymore. It's more like, I used to own them. People don't check back to my threads even if I do get cited for it. I don't know exactly how youtube works and if people are bothered enough to try and help out with situations like this but with enough people complaining from this here board to youtube about plagiarized material, linking the original information could nothing be done. Surely if someone has more than 2,000 views per video they should receive a warning about instances such as this and be forced to remove the video or quote the original source. Especially if they are receiving monetary value from the videos. What I've always liked about this community is a genuine feeling of community, as in people sticking together and helping/defending each other. Would be fantastic to see this en mass with tangible results. -
First time I got to 40 solo on Kino I used pretty much this strategy, it's very good for beginners as it's kinda difficult to get screwed anywhere. Nice work.
-
Not a bad guide mate, problem would be past round 35 or so when it's very difficult to keep that top window safe with 1 person. If I had 4 players though I would put 1 on the window permanently and the other 2 on top of the stairs with ray guns to stop the crawlers that come down the walls on either side of the stairs. And the people shooting downstairs shooting downstairs should really try hard to not kill the gas zombies, it fucks up the kiter.

For me it's more the guides I am seeing although I have noticed it in theory posts. I've written 4 different Kino guides and have seen almost all of them rewritten with a minor twist. -
There seems to be a fair few copycats. Whilst nothing is truly original work seems to being plagiarized all over the place. Especially guides. Topics and opinions I have noticed too. Kind of gives me the shits.

I only have 2 points to add to lots of other good ones. A pro knows when to leave an area instinctively before really bad things happen. This could be something as simple as being stuck in the lobby in Kino and 2 players are making there way to you, one from the stage and one from the MP40. A pro is straight away heading into the alley. If teams don't cooperate and continually bring trouble onto you knowing how to escape this is pro. Taking a down for the team - this is a tough one to explain but I have spoken about it before. Especially in 4 player games on tough or awkward maps a pro will sometimes choose to go down in the act of reviving someone if they are confident that someone else can then revive them. There are going to be times when you can't quite manage to kite all the zombies to get a safe revive. If however you pull off a revive even if the other player goes down you have just bought 30 or 45 seconds (can't remember the time exactly before bleed out) for your other teammates to get into the area and get one or both of you back up. You may lose 8 perks (COTD) but I'd rather keep all my teammates with weapons and only be able to get 4 perks for a while. Sacrifice really is sometimes good. Especially if you are on a high level on a 4 player game, it's horrible to sit out for 45 minutes or so. I really try and always ensure this doesn't happen. But you have to be totally confident in your other teammates abilities to do this.

I can honestly say that I've never downed myself with the Mustang & Sally since I've started using them in non-Flopper maps. You only switch to them to take out your train, you have another weapon in hand like a wonder-weapon or Lawton to save yourself with if you get stuck. If you know how to use them properly then, as Chopper said, it's instinctively impossible to down yourself with them. People only down themselves when they use them at the wrong time, which is something that players like Chopper and myself don't ever do. Well I guess I'm a different player than what you guys are. It's good for me to see the different type of players there are in this forum. But one thing I'm sure of, is that you will never see me using M&S on a map where there is no flopper. - Emperor Doggy I P.S. Who is TC? TC would be Topic Creator which would be you Doggy.
-
I'm sorry no offense meant, it was just how adamant you were with the opinion and how much I have played with M&S without flopper. Like Super said I have never downed myself with them as I use them for a 2 very specific reasons - to run fast if I have no upgraded Thunder or Stamina and to kill big hoards/make crawlers on very high levels. Using them like this there is no way I can down myself. If I am kiting with them out I just know that I can't shoot them, and that comes from lots of NML. If I'm ever in a position to need them well I'm going to die regardless...but occasionally if you spot the danger early enough you can back up a bit and make crawlers which can be jumped over.
-
I think any person I have ever played with would say I'm a nice guy. I'm pretty opinionated on the forums but what's the point in not being in life. Let's face it if you are good at zombies you know you are. Why be shy about it. Sure it's a bit of ego but everyone deep down has some. You can tell who is good but the information they provide on nuances of the game. That made me laugh quite a bit doggy. Once you have used M&S a lot, especially in NML it becomes almost instinctively impossible to down yourself with them.
-
I'll make a list. This comes from videos I have seen, topics that have been written and personal playing experience. In no particular order - TheSavage5118 2 bar awesomeness SelectYeti high level co-op runs Way2g00 high level solo and co-op EyeCntSpel guides, kiting and NML Superhands guides and NML FatalRampage guides and DeadOps Tom852 extreme videos MixMasterNut NML and breakdowns Me guides, kiting and NML Liam Waffles - the last 2 I've just heard really good things about. I don't think for any regulars the reasons need explaining. There are definitely others, my brain has just gone a bit blank. I think from what I remember hearing the TC is pretty beast.

I used to do the tight stage circles, they work really well but take so long as you are continually waiting for the gas zombies to take their time getting to you. Try this....50 in just over 2 hours....to go for a high round run it will take more like 3 hours to 50 but gives you a huge bank of points. viewtopic.php?f=56&t=18525
-
Isn't that more to do with the fact that 99 on DoA takes around 12 hours and 99 legit on zombies takes at least 48?

th I think from memory the Thundergun thing on Ascension was proved to be a PC modded game. I'm pretty sure it's just a very rare glitch on firesales it can happen. I don't even know if it is anywhere on youtube but I saw some convincing thread about it a long time ago...I'm sure the proof came from the coding?
-
Don't like dragging up an old thread but in the last 2 games I have played in Kino the same thing has happened to me. Box has been hit 2 or 3 times, definitely not moved and then I have used the teleporter. Twice now I have had firesales as bonus free drops. Do these rooms drops exist outside the normal parameters for firesale drops? I can prove this if I really have to, just have to dig through a fair amount of footage.
-
Ok I know that a glitch has been proven....2 people during a fire sale simultaneously hit the box and get a Thunder each. Are you sure that it has been proven that if someone already has it the box can give again during the firesale? Doesn't make much difference mate just interested to know.

I can't be arsed to find out what you are talking about so please let me say WTF!!!!

Choppers Solo speed guide to Kino - updated with video
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Kino Der Toten
How to get to round 100 using this basic strategy. Basically spend the first 30-35 rounds building points. MP40 until about round 15 (when you can shoot them a couple of time and then stab). Get any AR or LMG from the box. By round 22 get the HK. Use all the HK ammo and then your M&S to complete rounds until ammo or dogs. PAP the HK anytime after round 25, after you have used all the ammo. Do not bother if dogs are next round. Use PAPed HK until round 35. Any round after dogs you should get ammo, make sure if you use all the ammo you finish rounds with M&S. By round 35 you are going to have plus 200,000 points. On 29 last night I had 130,000. You want a point cushion as you are not going to make any points (or hardly any) from the ThunderGun. Once past 50 stop worrying about your ammo so much, but use the chart to work out how many shots each new round is going to take. Know when dogs are. If you are 2 rounds or more off dogs with 4 or less shots remaining reroll the box. Otherwise use traps.....hoard in lobby, use lobby trap. Hoard on stage for 15 seconds, run back through trap. This will take out nearly 2 hoards. Hoard in lobby again then use firepit trap....if you have monkeys throw it into firepit as your hoard is fried. It's a bit risky getting back to the lobby but can be done in my opinion 99/100. Only use these 2 traps, the rest take much too long and the simple loop is cut off by the top door being shut in the lobby. Be prepared to spend a lot of time doing this. It is however the quickest way. -
NML: Taking the luck out of a 90 second PaP (with video)
Chopper replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)

Choppers Solo speed guide to Kino - updated with video
Chopper replied to Chopper's topic in Kino Der Toten
Video now complete. The video shows the true tactic for the higher rounds....you generally only circle once before starting the crescent shape. I tried to show a couple of escape options and how to get trapped....if in doubt just go up the stairs or it will cost you a couple of Zeus shots. I hope someone gets something from this z0aYiPEeDy0 -
Is this for both solo and co-op does anyone know?

I Need Some Tips/How Did I Do? (Brains For The Best Tips)
Chopper replied to iB Proto's topic in Classic Maps
29 co-op first real attempt on a classic is pretty damn good. More so if your partner had never really played it either. No PAP makes it tough until you get the hang of the map. I was thinking of Verruckt when I said no box. For tips....well I like to run the Thompson area myself. This gun is beast is you are good at aiming at the head. I find the outer areas just a pain in the arse, but it's only because I have never really spent any time in solo practising them. The best tip I can give it play solo and learn the different quarters until you find one which has a relatively easy kite and access to a wall gun. As I said I can kite the Thompson and inside area pretty damn well....small circles in the actual Thompson room, then if it gets too busy head into the area heading towards storage, turn left and then circle that inside area in a big clockwise loop, should now have most zombies behind you. If your partner is in Comm Room there will be hardly any zombies blocking your path. -
Playing with randoms; COTD vs. Moon
Chopper replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Tough choice....Shang wins for me though. I can deal with Moon and COTD idiots. George being pissed off doesn't usually affect me too much, I can jump before the screen shake and M&S really makes the difference. Moon.....as long as I can buy flopper I can pretty safely run around the bio dome without Juggs, using the pads to escape real trouble. Hopefully all the idiots die and if I'm the only one left I'm going to either buy Juggs or burn speed. Rinse and repeat until I have M&S too. But on Shang I need my M&S, and you need a fully co-operating team. Kino I just hide in the alley now. Most games the back door of the stage is shut so I only need to worry about people coming from doubletap. I have M&S for when this occurs. Five. I have never ever played a random game on there. Ascension. I protect Flopper that's it. If I lose Juggs I'm still unlikely to die with my M&S, standing on the lander platform there I can see Monkeys coming for miles. If all my team die all the monkeys are coming to me and I can lead the last one to Juggs.
