  1. As the lovely MMX pointed out, panzer soldat means "armored soldier." The only armored soldier with a giant claw I can think of are the big daddy robo suit zombies. My idea is that it literally picks you up, and either tries to crush you or carry you somewhere else. You would then have to kill it before it could do either... Twice. Or maybe it captures 2 players simultaneously. Really? I'll stick with my theory it could be that guy, OR the 1000 ft. robot :
  2. Panzer Soldat is German for armored soldier. I know that, thanks. But WHAT is the armored soldier, the space suit alien guy, which is clearly armored, or the armored 1000 ft. robot? One is going to grab us.
  3. "Kung fu grip- In Origins, free yourself and another from the Panzer Soldat's Claw in one game." Sounds like our skeletal / Vril-ya space alien looking guy (or perhaps the robot) might be able to get ahold of us
  4. ^ That's what I'm saying.. They matched the date with the actual newspaper article dating the term Devil Dog.. And yes the REAL battle was several weeks later. Did you read what I said about patriotic journalism?

    Group 601

I'd agree.. TREYARCH -- 3 way arch.. Makes sense to me
  6. Sorry Tac, for once I have to disagree with you. As a former Marine myself, it is taught at Basic Training that the term Devil Dog did indeed come from that battle, even though it may really have just been some patriotic journalism at the time. It's not Treyarch's mistake though, that is indeed what has been taught since WW1.
  7. And for those not up to par on Marine history, this is factual about the Germans naming the Marines Teufel Hunden, or Devil Dogs.
  8. I'd say a whole hell of a lot closer to 40, about 41 actually.
  9. Very good I like it.. I initially see it as a glyph / ward set by ancient peoples (Templars etc) to 'magically' seal an ancient evil that they uncovered themselves.
  10. Don't tell too many people that..
  11. I better see an axe for Nicholai and a Katana for Takeo.. Looks EPIC

    Not insane

As long as he has his old snide remarks back, I'll be happy.
  13. Discomfort is part of life, get over it.
  14. I had mid 40s on most BO1 maps.. I didn't break into the 60s until Buried.. Most BO2 maps are easier IMHO, the paralyzer is WAY over powered, especially when combined with Vulture Aid
  15. Perhaps I need to consider it on higher rounds then.. It left a bad taste in my mouth from the get go, but now I see more possibities, thanks guys.
  16. I think all the Tesla coils around the map are an indication there will be SOME type of transmutation of matter..
  17. on the mark II? waaaaaaiiiit a minute, you trollin fool! Yeah.. The Mark II.. I am not a fan of it honestly. I PREFER to have the splash damage, I'm just so used to blowing the zombie's feet off since the original Ray Gun came out.. The Mark II isn't as good as the original IMHO. Perhaps escaping a stick situation I could see the benefits.. Just give me a Voice of Justice up through round 31, keep your Mark II.. :D
  18. Good, I find it useless and would rather not waste my 950 on it.
  19. It's possible, we'll find out in a few weeks. I know it has to tie in, it's just too much of a coincidence that Richtofens has the vials.. I hope Treyarch actually EXPLAINS the story well and how it ties together, and doesn't leave us to figure it out, like they did with the ranking system.
  20. I don't think we will be killing the robot.. I think he will be an obstacle.
  21. I think I read that the MP40 is making a return at least.
  22. ^ LOL, we appreciate his service.
  23. Ascension. Pure survival mode. Still a boss round to survive to make it a bit tougher. Four distinct areas, each player can grab one, and work towards the high rounds. Also, the first 'real' easter egg in my opinion.
  24. Actually alot of the weapons are real. The LSAT for instance is a replacement for the Marine Corp. squad automatic weapon (SAW), that is lighter and move versatile, in use today.
  25. You mean 1946. Or 48+. Not that reasonable. You obviously haven't been around any 48 year old Marines.. They'd kick your ass with ease.
