Zombies Confusion Come Here If You Dont Undertsand
Superhands replied to blackfire561's topic in Single Player
If this is the case, I'm assuming solo will stay the same with only 24 on the map at a time etc? That would be a relief tbh, 50 on the map at a time in solo as I've said on another thread would just not work most likely. -
To more or less echo what Chopper said, strategy + experience + confidence = consistency. I'd already worked out my entire strategy and practiced certain parts of it (PaP-Jugg mainly) numerous times and almost perfected it before I'd even made an attempt at 350. After that I was pretty much just waiting for a lucky game; one in which I didn't get too nervous when the game was going well and screw it up as a result. Once I got the 349 I was just contented, the pressure I felt when playing No Man's Land just vanished. I started enjoying it a lot more, not getting stressed at all and I became much more consistent as a result. A bit more work on my PaP-Jugg strategy got me up to 110+ at Jugg rather than just 100+ and I was ready for a WR. I'm also planning on making a 'recent high scores' video probably next week, I've had more than 5 350+ games in total now, haven't played NML since my 361 so those were all made between the 357 and 361, so all in the space of 3 days playing for a couple of hours a day.

Article about BO2 - 8 Player Zombies, will run off MP engine
Superhands replied to complexinvalid's topic in Single Player
I'm not quite sure how to take the 50 zombies per wave thing. Does this also mean double the amount of zombies per round? If so that's bad, would just take even more time and guns would need much more ammo. If not, then wonder weapons would need to be adjusted so you either don't kill full groups with them and only half groups, or have less ammo on them. Having less ammo to compensate, I don't like the sound of. But having a wonder weapon with the normal amount of ammo that would kill a group of 25 when there are 50 available sounds nice. That basically means gathering 2 spawns in one go, then a quick double shot to clear them. This would obviously be quicker than it is currently so I do like the sound of this. -
Mark Lamia gave us Zombies info, but what did he mean?
Superhands replied to CheezyWeezle's topic in Single Player
I'm just always thinking back to when Treyarch said they never want to move away fro, the original zombies format. I'm also just thinking all of these things would ruin the game, as I've always dreaded the day they decided to go OTT with things. Just one difficulty level, one set amount of zombies makes a nice balance, and it makes it easier to compare your play with the rest of the world. There is always a way to make zombies more hard and quick or slower and easy, and the good players can always push further and further. There's no need for variety in difficulty, we already have our easy and hard maps. -
Great work again mate. I see what you were talking about with that first video now just after Jugg, had that group been killed with 2 shots instead of 4, you most likely would have ended with 340+. Overall, brilliant runs :D

As long as the zombies is good it gets a big thumbs up from me So just waiting...

Sometimes same for me - sometimes I'm really on the ball, other times I'm just like, "Screw it, I'm just gonna mess around this game". Like in our Moon game the other day, the Astro is right next to you when you go down from a double slap. I revive knowing I'll be grabbed by the Astro, he then teleports me to exactly where I just was and I get slapped with a red screen. Then I get revived and grabbed again as soon as I get up, with crawlers slapping me as I'm grabbed, so 2 downs before round 5. The day before we played COTD, I was feeling up for it and had a really good game right up until the end, when for somereason I went to pull out the M&S while reviving and it pulled out the FAL instead, even though I had the M&S in hand as I started reviving  Then by the time we started playing Riese I'd just lost the will  -
Brilliant Chopper, really pleased for you mate I sense 340 is next...
-
I always try my damndest to make sure randoms don't get the Thundergun. Such a powerful tool wasted in the wrong hands, and if they don't get revived while they have it then, as mentioned, they think, "Oh no, I lost my Thundergun! *Rage quit*". Same thing with the Wave Gun.

black ops 2 Zombies- MUST HAVE!
Superhands replied to meetjoeblack's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This. I'd rather zombies go back to the eery stuff they had going in the original maps. The last 3 were just kind of comical. Although Moon kind of had an eery environment with barely any sound so the zombies would sneak up on you. Saying stuff like add bosses and add melee weapons. There's a perfect game out there for you guys. It's called Left for Dead. I loved zombies when it was JUST zombies like in NDU and Verruckt. The added things take away from that. COD Zombies was built as a border defense game. Let's go back to that. But to the gun who said Mule Kick ruins the maps, yes and no. Ya it's stupid that they added but it doesn't ruin it for me since I don't buy it I agree with most of this, but I love having boss rounds (dogs/monkeys/thief), just helps break up the gameplay so it doesn't get so same-samey like the last 3 maps, as well as make the game go quicker. Also, BRING BACK TRAPS! -
361 Kills on NML, New WR & WORLD'S FIRST EVER 360+ Game!
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
What I noticed immediately is that first shot - you turned at them, then already started to run back around before you'd even used a shot so you missed a lot of them. When I shoot, I hit them full on so most of them will die. The hoarding itself was very nicely done. The second shot also killed the bunch so was a nice shot. Some horribly slow spawns there too it must be said, which never helps ;) -

As usual, very well written interesting thread [brains] I've really found my niche with the sprint-jumping lately, you see me using it a lot in my NML WR videos. I tend to get hit less and it also minimises the risk of getting stuck. -
361 Kills on NML, New WR & WORLD'S FIRST EVER 360+ Game!
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
My general tip as I said on Skype the other day mate, if you watch my 357 video, I basically do one counter-clockwise loop of the big pool, drag around the 'pipe challenge' corner and sprint towards the stairs, before turning and shooting at my nicely compacted group. Works pretty consistently because you rarely get ambushed from behind when turning and shooting at the stairs. If you get blocked at the side drop or PaP you can cut back, go past the stairs, then cut back again at the corner and shoot from the same place. I'd now say, with a good spawn I get PaP and Jugg around 80% of the time because I've practiced and worked this out. -

I think Chopper is doing an analysis between me, Steve and Mato's games, so I'm sure he'll be pointing out all of our little 'nuances' in getting Jugg ;) -

361 Kills on NML, New WR & WORLD'S FIRST EVER 360+ Game!
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
Believe me mate, the reason I've been doing so much NML lately is because a good game can be done in 10-15 mins, so it fits nicely into down-time during busy weeks ;) -
Hey guys, so after my WR breaking 357 kill game this week I was messing with some things between PaP and Jugg today, got a nice start so I figured I'd start recording and continue the game. Little did I know what was to come! This could have been a 363 but a couple of crawlers died out. I'll settle for 361
-
I'm also a fan of the spawn strategy, I don't think I'd ever run the PhD lander in solo again TBH, too slow I can get the good angles on PC using the noclip command (basically flight mode), then just use the curved line tool on Paint to draw the diagrams. If you need any screenshots Perfect, send me a PM ;)

No Man's Land 357 Kills {World Record}
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
Thanks Perfect This is what I did after completing said game: Yes, I was wearing the mini-skirt ;) -
Yeah 5 this wouldn't work for an EE game of course, mainly for solo using either the Biodome or Recieving Bay. Tom, you're right in a way, depends how early in the game Pi breaches. With that second door in 6 closed like I had at the start of the video, if you sit at the bottom of the stairs the zombies only come from your front. So easy to knife them as they come in the rounds below 10, if you had a Ray Gun you could camp there quite safely before round 20. All depends on how close you have the astro at the time, I was keeping him in the lower labs until Pi breached at this point which obviously wouldn't work so well later on. So yeah, can be a little tricky to set up but the reward is worth it ;)
-
Little trick here, using the Excavator and a door to lock the Astronaut in Tunnel 6 to get rid of him for the rest of the game. Useful if you're using my Recieving Bay strategy or running the Biodome. You can also do this with Tunnel 11 so you can run Tunnel 6 if you so wish.

No Man's Land 357 Kills {World Record}
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
You make a good point Jay, really depends on the circumstances, sometimes it's better to use that 1 shot on the whole group because you know that you'll make some more crawlers to knife as well as kill some existing ones and a dog or 2. But yeah, if you have half a group of weakened crawlers and half a group of full health runners, probably leading the group away to make more of an impact on the crawlers with the last shot would be a good option. -
Yeah all depends on how lucky you get with the box when recycling, you can save a couple of hours if you're getting it back quickly and consistently.
