Thanks mate, yeah I'll definitely be doing that at some time, as you said the MZG v2 needs it ;)

I was planning on making a thread about zone mechanics way, it's something I almost always implement into my strategies ane is a must-know for any budding strategists out there. Basics of zone mechanics/spawn control: Zones are commonly marked by where doors/debris once where. Zombies will only spawn in the zone you're in and the zones on both sides of it. In rare cases, no spawns will ever be triggered in one of these adjascent zones, e.g. being in the bottom of the labs on Moon will trigger no spawns in the power switch area. There was some speculation that standing in certain sides of a room will change the balance of the amount of spawns in each window, but this is untrue. The amount of zombies that appear in each window is always randomised.

Yeah there's a definite trap-spam method for Der Riese I think, I was thinking labs trap, across the bridge, Thompson trap, power room trap, teleport, repeat. Needs to be tested, I'll get on that at some point As for Kino, this is hands down the best trap strategy there is I think: Looks safe and round 60 done in 7 and a half minutes would equate to about 30 seconds per spawn if using a Thundergun strategy, which is pretty fast. You can also use the window-watching time in the MPL room to spray the zombies in the window with the MPL to make some points back.

It's cool man I know what you meant ;)

This One's For You, MurderMachineX
Superhands replied to perfectlemonade's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Very well thought-out thread, a good reminder that we should consider others' opinions when writing these threads. I believe I said that instakills are a waste of points in those early rounds - this can be true, but I still take them. I like to stay in the first room until enough points are made to open all of the doors to the big knife, and an instakill helps there. One thing I will always say though, is you'll never see me using a death machine until I have my ideal weapon setup. Such a low amount of points when I could be knifing for those kills and making double the amount of points. Especially once I have my Bowie/Sickle. -
No worries man, if you're looking for easy strategies for all of the maps look no further than my project, The Complete Zombies Survival Guide (click HERE).

Firstly, I see you're new, welcome to the forums Secondly "rape train"... not really a term we like around these forums, can be seen as offensive and we try to keep the place friendly towards all types of people. Plenty of other terms to use, e.g. best place to run, kite, circle, loop, train... few examples for you there Thirdly, I guess "best room" is a bit of a loose term - some people look for the easiest place to run, some players look for the place with the quickest spawning, others look for a place with easy trap access. I often settle on a place that's balanced between the first 2. Let's look at all 3: Easiest - Stage, hands down. Huge, wide-open and many options for sub-routes. Quickest - Alleyway in the earlier stages, 40+ my MP40 room strategy is as fast as it gets. Trap access - Stage, you're right in the middle of everything. Hope that helps, any more strategy-based questions feel free to ask, you'll most likely get an answer from me if not someone else ;)

Round Two: The Redefined Master Zombies Guide?
Superhands replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nearly all of the guides I posted for the MZG have been updated as well, some little and some huge. -
I'm really hoping for a map with a legit power weapon & traps like the good old maps. I get you on the whole thing of these kinds of power weapons causing selfish behaviour when playing with randoms, and they all go off all over the map and start going down... but I guess I kinda like that. I go into random games looking for bad players so I can go on a constant revival mission, or screw with them when the ask newbie questions. This is about a million times as fun when you have a friend + 2 randoms in the lobby But yeah, for proper high round attempts I'll grab just one friend like Tom, and we'll work together to get to the point where I complain that I'm gonna fall asleep from boredom.

No Tom, you were involved in the conversations we were having about the strategy and had your input, so it's yours as well as ours. Also I borrowed one of your quick-tips in my part in part 1 ;) -
Moon: No Doors Opened Solo, Round 37 *World Record*
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in Moon
Thanks mate, surprised this has been ignored so much actually IlSteveIl was the previous record holder with 33 rounds. -
Did you know it also makes your Juggernog more effective, and gives you better luck on the box??? Seriously though... Reviving gives a few points which may or may not contribute to the total needed for the next drop, so the chances of powerups dropping may increase slightly. But 7-8 drops per round, when the max per round as programmed into the game is 4? Proof or BS ;)

Using a wonder weapon like the Thundergun or Wave Gun is of course faster and it's always my choice to line up up and knock em down until I'm out of ammo... but what if it's a scenario like maps with the Wunderwaffe or Winter's Howl, in which after a certain amount of time the weapon either stops killing zombies or runs out within less than half a round? Then you have to resort to traps, if the map has any. It's also a lot wiser to use traps to finish out the round to keep a runner rather than to try and hit the box mid-round in some obscure location - like myself, lots of us are capable of pulling it off, but after you've been using some rinse-and-repeat strategy for an extended period of time you might get knocked out of rhythm when you're forced to run some really small circle. COTD would maybe be my favourite map if there wasn't a limit to how far you could go due to having no method of killing zombies in the high rounds. I don't want another map that, realistically, limits you to about round 80.

Good thoughts Chopper. I'll still always lean towards my Recieving Bay strategy as opposed to the Tunnel 11 strategy, with 11 there's always a little risk involved whereas at round 30 the spawn is a piece of piss with a very simple loop, not to mention fast. Shang isn't too bad for ammo from my experience, that gun has so much ammo and for some reason ammos tend to drop more frequently on this map than others. If you do run out then it's the only map in which it's pretty simple to circle at any box location. As for future maps, I'm sure we'll get a mixed bag. If they do what they did with Black Ops and start us off with an easy map and a hard map, that'd be perfect. All I'll say at this point is, I hope at least one of these maps has a realistic way to get through the high rounds (good wonderweapon or traps), I plan to go for 200 or at least as far as the game's coding will let me go once I've got my strategy all worked out.

Welcome to the site man! I remember this time last year I was picking up tips and tricks from you guys' videos, now here I stand as a multiple world record holder, much respect for you guys. Hope to see you getting involved around the forums :)
-
Yeah Rissole I was thinking, I didn't try and take off my helmet after teleporting. The game could well have returned to normal but just stole all of my weapons. Either way I'd opened doors so the challenge was over Yeah yeti I already posted the vid on the forums before you made that post as you see in the video I was getting so many drops in the 30s, nice amount of ammos as well as ammo saving drops like nukes and instas.

All of these ideas seem feasible What I'd pay money to see as a wonder weapon: Mustang & Sally v2 - Basically a Mustang & Sally that does infinite damage.

Hey guys, so I hit round 37 on the No Doors Open solo challenge on Moon, setting a new world record! Extremely weird and rare glitch at the end of the game which stopped me from potentially going any higher - I go down at round 37, then get back up and buy my 2nd QR. At the exact moment that the QR registers, I also take a 2nd hit. The result is some strange ghost-mode glitch, the zombies think I'm dead but I'm still basically alive apart from the fact that I can't draw my gun, knife, take off my PES or anything. I can open doors, so I jump off the cliff... and teleport straight back to the Recieving Bay??? So I try teleporting, noticing that new spawners go for me but can't hit me. Once I teleport though, even though I can't do much I can get hit again. I let the zombies kill me so I can get my end-game scoreboard. Strange shit... Anyways, enjoy

Oh, hi Tom, I though you were dead or something The game is nothing spectacular, just to show how I handle myself, avoiding going down, choice of weapons, reviving teammates etc.
-
Good stuff way, yeah this is nothing serious just wanted to see how many people have/would do it I think a lot of players have a tough time surviving long enough to get all of the perks on this map so it's definitely a challenge

Just a fun little thread to see how many people have done this, post your piccies or vids here http://steamcommunity.com/id/Superhands89/screenshot/560943464278989052

No Man's Land: Chilled or Hyped-up?
Superhands replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Bit of both then Chopper Yeah no worries Jay, I'm a pretty big 'banterer' myself, but I wasn't too sure what to make of it and I was generally paranoid that people here might be thinking I'm less fun as watching paint dry But you're just playfully ripping into my overly dramatic (lol) ways of saying thanks, that's all good :D
