  1. Got to 50 earlier in around 4 and a half hours. Until about round 40 I ran PHD with the Thundergun and the other gun ran around with the crossbow using traps. The rounds started taking ages around round 43 so we started doing the merging strategy, it worked very well and rounds up to 50 took about 20 minutes (including the time it took for the other guy to get his perks back after getting downed). If your partner gets downed then keep a horde and run them around whilst they buy them back. Our strategy was that I ran around inside the silo area with the Thundergun, and he ran around by the box spawn in the same area with Awful Lawton. Once we both had our full trains we chose the right time so that we both run and meet eachother at the same time, and in doing so our trains merge perfectly. The I kill them with the Thundergun, rinse and repeat. Worked very well and at the end of the game I had 3 downs and he had 8.
  2. Disagree with most of the things you said. If they were having WWII maps and guns, and well...everything, how would it carry on with the story? I know a lot of people like the WW2 guns but why not bring back a few from Black Ops, a few from WaW and then mostly new weapons. To be honest I'm pretty sure that most of the weapons will be completely new. Also, the 'stupid things' you refer to are not stupid, they make the game more fun. Zero G was great, but obviously it's not going to be on every map because every map is not going to be in space or another planet. Some of your map ideas were cool though. Basically, don't confuse what YOU want between what 'hardcore zombie fans' want. I'm a 'hardcore' zombie fan and I do NOT want to go back to WW2.
  3. And then you have: Ascension - The map has a rocket which launches or 'Ascends'. Call of the Dead: The map features George Romero who directed the films 'Night of the Living Dead', 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Day of the Dead' and he is directing the film in this map called 'Call of the Dead', the Call probably comes from 'Call of Duty'. Shangri-La: The place where the map is set, the legendary Buddhist city. Also known as Shambala. Moon: It's on the moon... Obvious, but hey I thought i'd post anyway.
  4. Don't know how long the usergroups are still going to be around for but might as well try to get in on Richtofen for a little while. My PSN is MikeChrisA.
  5. You're joking...just this morning I spent six hours getting to 50 on Ascension in co-op for the Richtofen usergroup...wasted.
  6. I don't know if this could be put into the chart but I know for a fact that if there is a fire sale then two or more people can get any wonder weapon as long as the fire sale boxes give them at the same time. For example, a while back I was playing a four player game on Ascension. We got a fire sale and I hit the box at the stamin-up box whilst my friend hit it at PHD Flopper. We both hit the box at almost the exact same time, we both got Thunderguns from the box at the same time. This has also happened to me on Call of the Dead with the Scavenger. This can only happen if no players on the team have the Thundergun yet.
  7. Pretty chuffed. Got to 40 on this and Shangri-La respectively on solo today. Didn't even try going any further on either.
  8. This is why I love this forum. On any other forum people would just slag you off for a few spelling and grammar mistakes. And you typed it all on an iPad...jeezus. Have some brains. [brains]
  9. A Vril Rod would be pretty sweet, Uncharted 2 did a similar thing with the fortune hunter edition which came with a replice Phurba dagger. Or a replica Ray or Wave gun would be sick.
  10. I would like to apply for the Richtofen group. Here is an image, in my sig it says my PSN name which it is in the picture. *EDIT* Nevermind, I didn't realise it had to be co-op, that was round 60 solo as well ):
  11. Thanks for the quick reply man!
  12. I now know what the usergroups are but i'm unsure of how to join them. I have reached above round 50 and wanted to join the Richtofen group, who do I message and what kind of proof do I need to provide? Thanks!
  13. I'm against it for the same reasons that Superhands said. But if it really did need to be implemented it would need to cost a lot. I mean at least 30,000.
  14. Ah randoms. Don't you just love em'? Everyone's been in a game with some truly awful players, so tell some stories of games you've played and post some scoreboards! Sorry for the massive images by the way. I'll start with these two: Probably the least competent zombie killers I've come across. The revives may not be that high but look at their kills! Literally just played this game five minutes ago. Their kills were bad but look at their downs and my revives! 50 downs? I mean really?
  15. D-155-0LV3 Shield: It's a tactical grenade. Basically it's a long rod with three prongs at the top and a large spike at the bottom. When used it is plunged into the ground and emits a medium sized bubble shield (think the Bubble Shield from Halo or the backlash grenade from Resistance Fall of Man). The shield is around 4 meters in diameter and is transparent with a yellowish glow. Any zombies that make contact with the shield will dissolve or disintergrate (hence the name). This would be a great tool for reviving teammates as you could run over to your teammate and place it next to them, letting you revive them safely. The shield would not attract zombies directly like the Gersch device, and the zombies would be normally attracted to players. The shield would last around 15 seconds after placing it and upon dissapearing would send out a shockwave similar to a thundergun blast from 360 degrees. The blast would have around half the range of a thundergun shell.
  16. Did this a few weeks back on Shangri-La. I made it to 21 but I would not have gotten that far without the 3179 Jgb-215.
  17. I usually always get Mule Kick and M&S unless I'm going for a really high solo round. Then I usually take the Ray Gun and either the map's wonder weapon or if someone else gets it first either something like an AUG, Commando or Galil or the Awful Lawton. I don't really like the LMGs as they slow me down more than i'm comfortable with. If PHD is not available I usually prefer to get Awful Lawton, although sometimes I will still get M&S. Kino: Awful Lawton, Thundergun, Ray gun, Monkeys. Five: Awful Lawton, Winter's Howl, Ray Gun, Monkeys. Ascension: Thundergun, Ray Gun, M&S, Gerschs. COTD: Scavenger (Or VR-11 if not available), Ray Gun, M&S, Dolls. Shangri-La: M&S, 3179 JGb-215, Ray Gun. Moon: Zap/Wave Gun(s), Ray Gun, M&S. So those are my ideal setups, like I said if the wonder weapon is not available then I will usually get an Assault Rifle or wall gun. On the classic maps the setups are the same exept on NDU, Verruckt and Shi No I do not buy Mule Kick and instead just take whatever from the box, and the WW if available. On Der Riese I like to have M&S/AwfulLawton, Ray Gun and the DG-2 or Thompson.
  18. Thanks guys! Appreciate the welcome.
  19. Hey guys. I've been lurking around these boards for a few months now so I think it's about time I started posting properly! My PSN is in my sig if you wish to add me, thanks!
  20. This is a fun challenge on any map, preferably Five. The rules are simple. No kills allowed. The objective is to get the highest number of revives. Shooting the zombies is allowed, just make sure you don't kill them. Perks Allowed: . Juggernaut . Quick Revive Remember your score, or take a picture when you either all die or you get a kill. I have yet to try this as I can't seem to find anyone on Five at the moment who doesn't end the game or leave as soon as they die. When more scores are posted I will make a leaderboard, have fun!
  21. Without doubt the Thundergun. In those bad situations nothing is better than a fully loaded Thundergun.
  22. A bit of both to be honest. I quite often get to 50 on solo maps, however I find after that it begins to get repetetive, not to mention the amount of time it takes. So in that aspect I think it takes patience, however obviously you need to have a lot of skill and knowledge of spawns and how to run the zombies. It only takes one little mistake and you're down, and if you're going for those high rounds then you're gonna need all the quick revives you can get. I'm confident I can reach round 100+ on some of the maps however I don't have the time or patience to go through with it.
  23. Depends if i'm going for a high round. I still camp on the catwalk sometimes on Der Riese with mates to get that nostalgic feeling of the old WaW days before I knew of kiting. Usually on co op games now I tend to move around the whole map, not really kiting but just moving around constantly and killing the zombies as they come. Of course this proves inneffective as the rounds get higher so in the late teens or 20's I usually start running trains. I never run trains with my teammates as I find it too dangerous.
  24. I pretty much always get M&S every game, however when I do get downed I always buy Jugg First. After I've rebought it I rarely have problems getting my other perks back.
  25. Back in 2008 when I only owned a Wii I went round to my friend's house to play Nacht der Untoten on WaW. I was awful but loved the mode and I wanted to play it every time I went to my friend's house. We also played Der Riese a few times as they were the only maps he had. At this point I was still a terrible player. Finally in 2009 I saved up enough money to get a PS3 and with it I bought World at War. I immediately went home and bought the three map packs, however at this point I still rarely played solo, and usually only played co-op with friends on Der Riese and Shi no Numa. When Black Ops was released I bought it on launch and played on Kino for the very first time with the same mate. I was pretty average but enjoyed Black Ops much more than World at War, mainly because it felt more polished and fluid. Despite loving COD4 and MW2's MP I disliked Black Ops' mode. So I started playing Zombies more, with randoms and friends as well. Finally, I began to play solo mode in a hope to get the trophies for the mode. After a lot of solo play and co-op play with friends I began to turn from an average player into a good player. I was getting the highest scores on my friend's list and dominating the scoreboards in public games. We began making it into the mid 20's on Kino der Toten almost every game. And then I discovered kiting. I was the last alive on Kino and was running to revive my teammates. By the time I got there I realised I had a huge group of zombies following me. I then realised that I could easily control the group and began to run circles around the map using traps in regular games. I narrowed this down to the stage and finally began to kite the zombies in much smaller areas. I was making it into the high 30's every game and learned the deeper strategies of kiting, like cut backs and 'drag outs'. I also learned to walk when kiting and to save your sprint for when you really needed it. One afternoon I hit round 40 on Kino der Toten and this made me play Five more, further improving my kiting abilities. I also revisited WaW whilst trying to get high rounds on those maps as well. I bought every Map pack for Black Ops on release and from last Febuary to now my skills have further improved by each map and I discovered that solo was where my skills really shine. Around March last year I started watching YouTube videos on Zombies which gave me further tips and also informing me of the deeper storyline aspects in Zombies. I found this site last summer but only really started posting very recently. Zombies is my most played game now and I love playing Solo and Co-op on all the maps. Mother of god that was a long post...
