  1. Sadly he didn't as far as I know. I am sure that we can expect a nice Die Rise thread soon though. :3 I've got some IRL things to do at the moment, but once I get a legitimately good game under my belt, I'll go to work on a Die Rise guide for you guys. And no, I never found my guide. I'm pretty upset still. :(
  2. I think there are Hundreds of people ( if not thousands) on leaderboards that have achieved round 100 with or without using that cheap knuckles location. So there is no way to know who used it and who didn't. Most people just feel like that spot is a disgrace to any zombies map (not well though out and could have more tricky spawn points)since its too easy to simply camp and get high rounds because of fast spawns. And therefore should be patched. It's not necessarily a glitch. I'm not the first one to say this. It's the exact same thing as the Der Riese one window spot. If you use that spot throughout any of the game, you're just asking for trouble.
  3. Because kids are using the Galavaknuckle spot to get extremely high rounds. As of now, Chopper should be sixth in the world, if I'm not mistaken. Instead, on a round 97 GG, he'll probably be at least 500th on the leaderboard.
  4. Are you sure? It's been a while since I've played Five but I'm pretty certain there's a cutscene instead of a loading screen for solo. There is. JFK says "gentleman, lock n' load".
  5. Probably a reference to the Trample Steam. ;)
  6. That mildly elitist tone was intentional. I love dat irony. ;)
  7. And i am sure that people using this will fail to care what elitists say... Not starting anything, just pointing out the obvious. Happy gaming! Kind sir, I am in no way elitist. I make guides to help people like you get better at the game. I know I'm not the best; I'm just a guy that plays Zombies. And writes. And does other things. I have no desire to ever get to the top of the leaderboard because a) I'm not good enough, I dont' have enough time and c) it's been ruined by glitching, hacking kids that don't care about other peoples' achievements, only their own. I try to help this community get better at Zombies, but I'm starting to get the idea that guys like me aren't really appreciated much anymore. Elitist... Oh my God. You obviously do not know me or anyone in the community if you find us to be 'elitist'. You know, I was once a horrible player—I couldn't even make it past round 25 on Ascension. A guy by the name of Superhands made a series of extraordinary guides and made me a better player. Now he's gone, and I'm just trying to take up the slack, because I see a lot of the people on this site venting their frustrations and I just want to help them out. Some people, I swear.
  8. It's a consensus amongst every high rounds player that that spot is unfair and using this spot at any point in the game invalidates the whole game. Your score will not be recognized as legitimate if you use this 'strategy'.
  9. If you cite getting 8 perks from George, getting perks from the Jumping Jacks would be a purpose. Many maps do not have objectives. Firepower for the Thief is debatable; all of the classic maps, Kino, and maybe Ascension had no objective. An objective does not make or break a map, in my opinion. ;)
  10. Did Steve play the Farm and Tranzit games on local? Also, I went from knives to shotguns for getting 42 on Nuketown. Just 42... I know. I didn't lose it until my stats got reset.
  11. I'll be more than happy to edit whatever you need. :)
  12. - PDW Room - Dragon Room/Food Bar (as mentioned by perfectlemonade) - AN-94 Hallway - Sweatshop (below Dragon Rooftops) - Trample Steam Room YOU ARE AMAZING. I can't wait to be able to upload my full video guide and write a mega guide for you guys. I'll be quoting you and Sluggo both.
  13. This sums up the hotfix rather well. Try it out for yourself.
  14. Agreed. Also, this is what happens when your stats get reset. Yes, that's a 1% headshot ratio.
  15. They would be awesome... if it didn't require a Turbine. The best thing I way I think they can be used is running in the spawn, but why do that when you can just use the Jet Gun? It's a shame, really. This map as a whole was just a letdown for me. So much potential, such poor execution.
  16. I can't believe they failed to implement a stairwell into that hotel. The fire hazards... But no, really, they should've put in a stairwell. It would make things so much simpler.
  17. Guess I'm a beast.
  18. I don't think anyone's actually done this. This is about the closest thing to it. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=17310 I think you're good, though. Nice job. :)
  19. Yeah, Murder has it right. The Sliquifier can, in practice, kill an infinite amount of zombies with one shot. Now, in theory, it can only kill like 150 max before the chain ends, but still. You'll normally get at least 1500-2500 kills with one Sliquifier. But, other than that, I agree with what you said. :)
  20. Is that they release custom map tools for consoles. I don't think I can take another year of a dozen maps.
  21. Who's Who is an automatic for me. It's the most OP perk in the game, in my opinion. And yes, that includes Flopper.
  22. WORD. I think this is okay for the first forty or so rounds, because most high round players will be camping before that anyways. Why not just speed it up and camp really fast? However, I think the player should stop when camping is normally cut out of the scenario, due to zombie health, spawn speed, or ammo. Training requires skill. Spamming the Sliquifier in one direction does not. I've already posted this in a different thread, but the speed is not cool. I did the math. 3.7 seconds per horde (compared to 90 for Flopper on Ascension). It's up to you if you wish to do this for high rounds, but I personally wouldn't. I'd take no pride in besting someone who achieved their high round through kiting.
  23. Okay, after trying this out myself to round 40, I do agree it's a bit unfair. However, it's just camping. There's no foul play; it's simply a cheap, easy, borderline unfair way to get high rounds. Would I do it to round 100? Round 115? Round 150? No. I couldn't willingly claim a record on a map camping the entire time when someone else was busting their ass off in the Dragon Room. However, Treyarch knows how their spawn zones work. They understood that this was one spawn zone with only one way for zombies to come through. But, if you think about, it isn't all that different from training in a fast location. Take the Ascension PaP strategy. For those of you that do not know, this is one of the fastest areas in Zombies history: Zombies will only spawn in the Pack a Punch room and the windows below the rocket launch pad. This makes for incredibly quick high rounds; hordes can be cleared in 22 seconds (that's compared to 90 seconds doing the Flopper train). I'm watching TheRelaxingEnd's livestream of him doing this strategy. He just cleared round 70 in two minutes. TWO MINUTES. Let's do the math for this. On round 70 on solo, there are 448 zombies. 448/120=3.7 seconds per horde. 3.7. The fastest possible strategy on Black Ops took 19 seconds per horde, again on Ascension, but this time in the power. 19 seconds was unheard of. But this is 3.7 seconds per horde. I couldn't, in good conscience, go to 100 using this strategy. While no, it is not a glitch, it is unfair and it is detrimental to the integrity of the game. That being said, however, it IS different from training in a fast area. It involves no skill—merely an ability to aim and shoot. You don't even need Juggernog. Training in places like the Pack a Punch on Ascension takes skill. But, of course, camping is still a viable strategy for the early rounds. You can camp up until the forties. And, as all high round players know, those early rounds are slow and monotonous. So, I'm offering a compromise. Most high rounds begin with camping in a spot with quick spawns. I see nothing wrong with camping in the Galvaknuckle room up into the low-mid forties. Then, I think it's fair to move to the Dragon Room or the Buddha Room when the spawn rates get up really high and 'camping' becomes 'abusing zone mechanics'. Just my thoughts.
  24. Yeah man I know what you're saying. I've been to 55 as well. I'm not saying it's a tough map—it's rather easy, in fact. But I do feel there are challenging aspects of it. That's all I'm saying. :)
  25. It was obvious. Double Tap 2 does the same thing the original Double Tap did. It would be regressive and illogical to go back to the original Double Tap. Also, Chopper, to be fair, HoardKillRepeat is basically a zombie slaying machine. You kind of expect him to get insane scores in the first few days of the game's release hahaha.
