Yep. That's why I suggest playing on local. ;)

Yeah it's true. If you go above 9,999 kills, the score will not record on the leaderboard. Stupid, I know...
-
Yeah I think they need to start putting back in old Wunder Weapons. No one will criticize them for being unoriginal—10-15 insanely creative weapons/tactical grenades is more than enough. But, being able to change the effect of a weapon with a different stone would be... unbelievable. That would honestly be the single coolest thing in Zombies to date.

I'm not ready to call them 'the crew' yet. It's too soon. But I do like your theory. I don't have much to add... but I like it. Seems reasonable enough.

I'm not feeling Tranzit being included in Die Rise. Or is that obvious?

Which Weapons Are Better Than Others
perfectlemonade replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The loss of flopper however greatly lessens the values of these weapons. I've never been too big a fan of the ray gun, but the m&s was easily my favorite weapon in blops. However, its greatest asset was its clearing capabilities. With that gone, you are relying on it to kill hoardes, which is not its strongest point, however nml got us used to the idea. Ammo quickly becomes scarce in later rounds and you cannot spin the box for a a new m&s. Also using m&s plus any machine gun, means you have no clearing weapon, and thus no way to get out of trouble once cornered. It is now taking up a weapon slot but has lost its original purpose. For these reasons, I am tempted to put the voice of justice (pap'd executioner) over m&s. It is a 1 shot clear into the 30's. It has no splash damage. Can be spun from the box at will. And it runs at pistol speed. Not to mention that it gives a generous amount of ammo, so using it only as a clear weapon means you will hardly ever need to spin the box for it once obtained. The only reason I wouldn't rank the voice of justice over the m&s is purely for reasons of nostalgia and that m&s are generally more fun. The maximum damage output with Sallys vs the Voice of Justice, even with Double Tap, is clearly in favor of the former. I don't care about the numbers—often times statistics are misleading (not to bash on your thread, MMX; this thread is incredible). I'm telling you from experience that Sally's and Ray Gun is the ideal Survival setup. You should not be using Sally's exclusively for killing—that is a great way to run out of ammo far too early. No, you should learn to understand how to make use of Mustang and Sally's splash damage and how to accurately use them not to kill hordes, but to soften them up to make them easier to kill with your true killing gun. You will find that, if you do this correctly, will you not have to worry about ammo until the mid 40's. This is not to take away from the Voice of Justice or the PaP'd DSR or the LMG's—I'm just stating what I've picked up after countless hours of playing. :) -
I'm feeling a trailer as well tomorrow. Trailer Tuesday, after all. :)

He hit a death barrier at the top of the pole, one that isn't there with Tombstone on. That's why he died. Yeah.....

Hello everyone. I've been looking at the leaderboards recently and I've noticed that there's some pretty unique categories. In fact, there's one in particular that really caught my eye: miles travelled. It's the last leaderboard you come across; perhaps that is well-merited. I mean, when someone thinks 'hey, I'm gonna get first on the leaderboards' they usually mean first in rounds on a certain map or even kills or revives—but miles travelled? Nah. That doesn't showcase skill, merely stamina. But alas, there is a leaderboard for it and there will be people that strive to reach the top. Do I care about my spot on the miles travelled leaderboard? No, not really. It's reflective of time put into the game, and compared to some, I haven't really played all that much. Some people, on the other hand, have played quite a bit and perhaps they, in fact, care about their spot on the miles travelled leaderboard. Maybe they take pride in their top 50 spot on the miles travelled leaderboard—and I can respect that. They earned their place fairly through many a game of killing zombies, and you can't really dispute their spot on that leaderboard. What if there's a new comer, though? Maybe a 'Christmas Noob'. Yeah, exactly that. A Christmas Noob. Maybe that noob wants the number one spot on the miles travelled leaderboard. So he buys Jugg, saves a zombie on round three, and just does laps around Tranzit for three hours. He would travel hundreds of miles. And, eventually, if you did this long enough, you may just find yourself first on the miles travelled leaderboard. Is that fair? You're just walking, after all. There's no glitching and no hacking—you're just setting out with a goal in mind, and you're achieving that goal. Is there anything wrong with that? Well, maybe. In most people's eyes, yes. They would call it boosting. But is it really? You want to get high on a leaderboard, so you set out to get high on a leaderboard. Is that any different than setting out for a world record on a map? How is number one on miles travelled and number one on Tranzit 2-player any different—both feats require patience and a strategy and thought and execution. One could argue that the leaderboard for miles travelled and even perks drank, doors opened, etc. were meant to be achieved naturally, with the flow of the game. But don't you think that's a little hypocritical? If you're going for rounds, you don't let it happen naturally—you set a goal for yourself and you try to reach that goal. It's a pass/fail thing. There is no middle ground, no flow. There has to be a line, though. Downing yourself on purpose, yes, is clearly boosting. It is essentially the same thing as boosting in multiplayer—killing yourself (in Kill Confirmed) or letting someone kill you to get additional XP that would not have been achieved normally. But simply taking laps around Tranzit to better your spot on the leaderboard? I wouldn't quite consider that boosting. Where is the line, though? Is using only explosives to increase your gibs boosting? What about using only ballistic weapons to increase headshots? Is that really any different than going for a higher spot on round-based leaderboards? There has to be a point where the acceptable becomes unacceptable. But where is that point? Well, I'm not sure, but if someone takes laps around Tranzit just to increase their spot on the leaderboard, I say go for it. It's smart and it's a better strategy than letting it happen naturally. What do you guys think?

Be careful: There are leaks out there.

I physically cringed when I read some of the so-called 'descriptions' of the map. It was pitiful. -
Hmmm... not sure then. You know what they say, though. "When in doubt, blame it on the lag."

MMX, I think what Defect is trying to say that Bus Depot is such a crazy map that you want to keep kiting down to a minimum. Thus, you can avoid kiting altogether by picking off zombies one at a time instead of killing off entire hordes. Tom has also covered this idea. Awesome vid, Defect. Subbed.

There is a glitch in which you look at the ground, at any place and any time with any non-pistol weapon, zombies will be unable to hit you. You can godmode on command. Crawlers can get you, though. Maybe this is what you were experiencing?

RAPE? Very mature, you guys. Very mature.

Agreed. Teammates always screw me over with Engineer too. "Oh you got a Lodestar in your care package? Here, lemme change that to a Counter-UAV." -_-
-
Oh hai there! I've talked to you on Xbox and Skype a bit while you've been gone, but it still good to have you back on Codz! See ya around, pal!
-
Yeah I saw that too. Some dude hacked Microsoft to get it early hahahaha. But no. I'd highly suggest to NOT post that here. Your ass would be grass, pardon my French.

This. Looks. AWESOME. Future Der Riese? I almost can't believe it. I pray this is real. EDIT: Ohhhh wait. That says 'Die' not 'Der'. I got carried away. Regardless, looks badass. If you recall, there was a destroyed city on the poster we got back in May. Hmm...

Why hello! Welcome to the site!

Nice! Glad we could help. :)

This should help. ugZW3YXn7X4

Whenever a player leaves the match, the leaderboard freezes at that round. This was implemented with good intentions, but it doesn't really work in practice. Yeah... And as for private matches? There are none. Go figure. -_-
