All very solid points, Super. I will have to see for myself just how this ought to work out. I never thought of leaving a Tunnel 11 door closed. Derp.

Kinda racist. But, then again, they dont care about offending. I would like characters that have specific qualities. Sarah Michelle Gellar could've had increased Sprint, while Michael Rooker could have increased damage on lmg's. Just a thought. And your username. Wow.

Nice! But, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it. Yes, it's a big plus, but trying to get back your perks (ie the ones that are not Jug like Stamin Up) would be, to say the least, a very difficult task indeed, especially with everything decompressed... Would you just continue the game with just Jug and Quick Revive? How would you go back to NML a second time if you use up all your Gersches to get back to the other half of the map, teleport, and it's Speed Cola instead of Jug? And what if your Gersches fail you when getting Max Ammos? What if you get no drops? It has happened to me before. You would be out of ammo, with no Gersches, no box, no ammo. Would you just hack one of the excavators open? But that would let the astronaut through, and that's the entire point of letting the excavators breach. I see the benefits of this strategy, but in my eyes, the cons far outweigh the pros. The excavators were not put in to give you an easy way to get rid of the astronaut, they were put in to screw you up! And with some bad luck, they could very well do that.

And we know that 19 days later, Richtofen reappears at Der Riese, grabs Dr. Schuster, and brings him back to the Moon. Two years later, construction has completed at Griffin Station and Group 935 begins working with the MPD. Moon radios 4 and 5 support this: From these radios, we can gather that Griffin Station was built in the early part of 1942. Therefore, the events of Moon cannot take place 65 million years ago as Griffin Station is built on the Moon. If it did happen 65 million years ago, Griffin Station would not be there and it would just be an empty desolate Moon surface. The events with our gang would have to have happened sometime after 1942 during the initial outbreak (when Sam first gets trapped in the pyramid and starts controlling things). Check out my timeline in my signature for more details. EDIT: Now I'm not saying there's no chance for the continuation of the story. While the Earth is severely damaged, it is not blown up completely. One possibilty I've contemplated is the 3 missles attacked the 3 major areas of infection (Russia, Germany, America?, in hopes of stoping it before it takes over the entire world. However the blast doesn't stop the entire infection, and the outbreaks still continue. Perhaps we play as another group and find a way to teleport our crew back to Earth. Idk just shooting ideas of hope out there for some of you guys that want to see our gang return. Personally, I'd love to see our gang again in Black Ops 2, but I just don't see how they can keep this crazy ass story going effectively. I've come to the conclusion that time travel can be... well, brainmelting to say the least. I'm writing a novel dealing with time travel, and I have often stayed up until 2 or 3 in the morning pondering how time could be morphed, and how exactly time travel would work. There are two possible scenarios I see: a) You travel back in time. It is all a single flow of everything, and doubling back on that flow can lead to changes in the initial flow itself, leading to paradoxes that would disallow time travel in the first place. I have trouble accepting this as plausible. The universe doesn't like paradoxes. These paradoxes can be summed up as the Grandfather Paradox. Now, I know you're a hardcore story-liner unlike me, so I guess you already know what the Grandfather Paradox is. But for anyone else that isn't familiar with this particular paradox, it goes a little something like this: Suppose you travel back in time and kill your grandfather before he met your grandmother. This would cause your mother/father to never be born, and would cause you to not exist. And if you don't exist, how could you travel back in time in the first place? Now, when dealing with Zombies, I feel that this paradox does not apply, making this scenario false (for this game, at least). How? Well, I'm not quite sure; I more believe this to be false because the other scenario fits sooooo much better. You travel back in time. But 'time' itself is a loose term—it means nothing. Time is nothing. Instead, there is only present. That's it in your dimension. But there are other dimensions. In fact, there are an infinite number of dimensions. Every moment of everything that has ever been and ever will be is its own dimension. Time is just the steady progression of presents, one by one, without the ability to go backwards or skip ahead, just a constant flow of stone-stepping across everything. You can't mess with the past because there is no past, just another present. This is the scenario I feel is true. It just makes sense. And I feel that this—or something relatively similar to it, at least (there are quite a few variations on this theory)—scenario could apply to Zombies and produce infinite possibilities for its future. What if Vril—or 115—is a medium that allows you to break the flow of time? That allows you to skip forwards or backwards? But what if it doesn't stop with you? What if you bring objects with you? What if the Vril Pyramid is so immensely powerful that it has the potential to pick up an entire base and send you into the 'past'? Or what if the MDT, the one in Area 51, can jump across presents, maintain radio contact, and be in the past—but without a single person knowing? It may sound ridiculous, but how can you be sure? Just read about Flight 19, the Navy training flight that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle. I'm not saying that Flight 19 entered a rift in time or something, but just look at this: Radio contact was maintained for 3 hours before the five planes crashed or whatever happened to them. This was real life. Imagine the possibilities in a video game. I feel that the possibility of 935 building a Moon base millions of years in the past, constantly teleporting back to the 20th century and maintaining radio contact, without even being aware of the situation is perfectly reasonable, especially considering all of the crazy stuff Treyarch has done to us in the past. So yeah, that's my two cents. This was my first time ever getting deep into the storyline. Hope I did okay lol. -perfect

MPL and 74u are probably the most famous and liked trains out there. I never tried either with the door closed, but a very very - very - good idea. Next time I'm doing a 2ppl highround attempt I'll suggest to use that strategy, at least up to 30-35-40. Later you might anyway start to merge, depending on how well it works with the ammo supply from the monkeys. I'm really wondering how those areas work with those doors closed. In some way, I could imagine it even getting harder.... Need to test it I'd suggest just to restart as long as the Pap stone is in this tunnel, when you wanna do it with this door closed. Then just pap only once after you got your final gun setup. The MPL rock area got kinda crazy. Some situations I definitely got lucky on. Reviving was a nonissue though, at least on my part. If the guy in the 74u area got downed, he could just go up the geyser and BAM he's right in my area. But having the connecting door closed did cut off a spawn point that usually has quite a bit of zombies streaming out of it and makes cutbacks a real pain. Merging wouldn't be all that difficult as well, I imagine. I could just gather up my zombies nice a tight and drop down the geyser. The other person could be right there waiting with the JGB.

What is making me really, really afraid...

I wouldn't buy the maps if it came out through Elite. Shoot, I would say that we boycott Elite if Zombie maps are released through that piece of crap system. What would they offer us that would be remotely helpful to our game? Weapon stats? Perk breakdowns? Everything they could possibly offer I could find on this site—for free. Now, if they came out with a separate subscription all together, a Zombies Elite type deal, with extra stuff such as additional character quotes, behind the scenes developmental clips, and perhaps even new aspects of the game itself like an ability to level up and prestige or weapon packs for the maps, then yes, I'd be glad to pay for that. Because that is what I—we—would want. Nothing would make me happier than to see Zombies get the attention it truly deserves. But until then, no. I wouldn't buy Elite just to get a map early. It's not worth it. I'd be giving into their ploy for more money. Thanks, but no thanks. -
That's... impressive.

Can't believe you got Zap Guns on your first box hit. Not cool, bro.

The JGB is amazing, easily the best Wunder Weapon in my eyes, capable of shrinking an entire horde unpackapunched. The damage you take from the tiny zombies is basically nonexistent. I can go through a group with a red screen and come out alive. The JGB also produces drops. HUGE plus. And if you're not into punting zombies, a Mustang and Sally/China Lake/Law/Semtex will do the trick just as well. Also, the VR11 is my favorite gun to use in co op. Period.

What faction would control the 31-79_JGb215?????
perfectlemonade replied to MyLittleHellhound's topic in Shangri-La
[quote name=">]How did the 31-79 JGB215 end up in a sacred temple then... I guess i missed a bit of the zombies storyline. and it has what looks like "ancient" style designs on it My guesses are: a) It was already fully developed when Richtofen was teleported to the Vril-Ya's city and he either left it there, didn't know he was carrying it (you never know), or used Vril Energy to power it up and just left it there or something. or Maxis had it with him when he got teleported by Richtofen, and lost it in the commotion. I think the latter is more plausible. -
Ah, seeing this thread takes me back. To when I was a Codz noob. Oh, the days. I wish it were August 23rd again (I think that's when Moon came out). That was one of the greatest days in this site's history. **takes everyone's hands and begins singing Kum-Bah-Yah around a fire fueled by the slayed corpses of the undead**

I'm definitely not as good a player as Eye or Super or Chopper, but I'd like to think I'm no doubt getting there. And I can tell you, 115%, that what the above legends have told you are absolutely true. Everyone is capable of being a pro at Zombies, everyone is capable of getting 300 kills in NML. Every single person on this site is, and I do not doubt that for a second. But here's the problem. In order to get there, well, you have to get there first. No matter how many guides you read, how many videos you watch, at the end of the day, those are just strategies. They'll get you nowhere if you don't utilize them. You see, guides are just guides. They help, oh they definitely help, but the only thing that will truly get you better at Zombies is you. Your fate is in your hands, my friend. This game requires a high level of knowledge and, to an extent, skill. You will only be able to acquire this skill and knowledge through going out there and making some stupid mistakes and making yourself angry and making tweaks to your strategy. I guess what I'm saying is that, in Zombies, the old adage that goes something along the lines of "if there's a will, there's a way" is undoubtedly the driving force of improvement. You don't get a limited number of chances. You don't have to put a quarter in every time you die. You just keep trying and trying and trying and trying. It will be difficult, oh yes, it will be difficult indeed, but you can do it. I am certain you can. I know this for a fact because I have been in your shoes before. I sucked before, I'll admit it. But did I just move on, declare that this game was too difficult? Hell. No. You try. And you try. And you try. Eventually, you'll get better. I promise you that. I don't often point out my own work to other people, but I honestly believe that you could benefit from reading a guide I wrote a while back. Tell me what you think after you're done. viewtopic.php?f=83&t=19825 Good luck, my friend. -perfect

Pretty sure Jmasta is a robot -
MegaAfroMan and I had an awesome game to 29 (died on zombies not following a monkey bomb... AGAIN!!!) where he was running in the 74u area and I was running around the MPL rock, with the connecting door closed. If you're confident with your dodging abilities, this strategy works very well. The only problem was that we couldn't pack a punch because one of the stones was in the hallway between the areas. However, I think that if you either have the door from spawn to the MPL or the door from the M16 room to the 74u room closed, it is essentially the same effect, but with the ability to pack a punch. :D

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was going a bit too fast around the little PES closet thing. Thanks for the help, man! This is officially my favorite train in Moon now. It's just practice, practice, practice. I've always been a slow learner when it comes to running trains. I'd like to think that while I'm not exactly the most skilled player in the land, I am one of the most observant and 'hardest working' players you'll find. I've tried this at least 5 times in the past couple days, and I think I've finally gotten the hang of it. And I've decided that this strategy is revolutionary. Really great find, Super. [brains]

Okay, so I'm trying this. I really am. But maybe it's just as you said, rounds 17-25 are kind of weird, but this hasn't worked out too well for me. I didn't go down, but I got red screened at least 4 times in the period of rounds 15-20. I'm gonna try to get to 30 in the Biodome then just switch over to the Receiving Bay as the spawn rate starts to max out. Though, I have a feeling the zombies spawn just a bit differently on xbox than they do PC. I've noticed that I have to start at the very corner of the room to induce the majority of the zombies to spawn at the closest window to me. It just seems... different on your video. But maybe it's just that I'm doing something wrong. I dunno. Thanks for the video, anyways! :D

Hacking the Guns and Perk Machines Without Dying (No Air)

I was thinking this as well. Don't quote me on this, but I think it just makes the zombies respawn. Right? RIGHT?!

Please Treyarch, PLEASE no more of these errors...
perfectlemonade replied to Superhands's topic in Single Player
You know, it's inexcusable. Really, it is. There was a study that found a single Playstation 3 contains more power than the computers that dictated the Apollo missions in the 60's and 70's. For the most part, those missions were a complete success. And we can't prevent errors from happening? With all that energy—so much compacted in one spot that, for most of the people that have ever lived, it could be described as well, indescribable—and we seriously can't go 10 hours without games crashing? REALLY? We can talk to people across the world, we can go into space, we can destroy entire towns, entire cities, entire populations with just a turn of a key and a press of a button, but we can't make a video game that is durable? How. That's what I want to know. It's a load of crap. And it's disappointing. It is truly disappointing. I'm just... wow. Sorry, dude. I've found high rounds don't really rely on your skill, they rely on how long your system can hold out. Let's just get through the next 6 months, then our focus will turn to the new game. :) -
I used to despise this perk, I really did, but then I found out how insane the aim assist to the head is. Headshots increase at least 2 fold with deadshot, which gives you a LOT more points. Plus, the nonexistent sway and reduced crosshairs make snipers a very useful weapon. A PaP'd Dragunov on Round 20 will kill any horde just as fast as an assault rifle.
