  1. Glad you found us! I have friends to who play zombies, but only casually. It's nice to find a place where we can just discuss it without looking like idiots haha.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised this happening. Not sure if it's a glitch or not, but I frequently come across where the Panzer Solidat and Templar Zombies spawns are pushed a round back. Sometimes he will spawn on R9, causing the Templars to attack on R11. Other times it's worse, having him spawn on R10, Templars R12. I'm not sure what causes this, but I think it's something to do with activating generators and going in the giant at certains times, maybe not causing the game to register to send them out or something.
  3. Anyone recently pushed the button on Buried PS3 so that it would be in their Theater? Hit me up.

I just need someone to push it with.

  5. A little disappointed this sub forum isn't seeing as much traffic as it could. We know Treyarch look to forums for ideas. If you did not like BO2 Zombies, than post your ideas and threads on what you think should improve and stuff in this sub-forum. Now is the perfect time to post these ideas, they will be developing and forming ideas. You're ideas can help create and form the zombies experience you want. You have to voice your opinion to have it heard, because it's not just going to magically appear in game what you want if you keep quiet. I guess that's all I wanted to say. Just post your ideas and feedback if you want them heard, constructively of course. And yeah...
  6. What about Off-topic posts not counting towards total post count? Not sure how effective that would be. Off-topic will see a lot of content though, especially the post anything thread. That has a lot of what you'd consider post pumping, just one or a couple of words in some replies.
  7. Pretty much agree with this except with the story part. I would like the N4's journey continued along with unfinished plotlines like The Flesh, Broken Arrow and Marlton in Nuketown explored. Maybe throw in some bios ALA WaW Map Pack 2. I'd like to see a return to more historic events though. In BO2, I believe we only had the N4 map names as references to history.
  8. Very good and informative answer Slade. I think this is just one of many reasons why they need to stop using the same engine with some modifications. It's just becoming very dated, and it's time for CoD to get a new engine if it wants to become serious again.
  9. How and why did Dwellers start anyway? I can't recall. It got to the point though where they just seemed like staff members instead of praised/excellent members. I'll quote my post above. I think you guys were already going to discuss it, but just making sure. Expanding on this, I'd like to see the Frontpage be more updated/used I guess.
  10. Eh, no ammo sounds preferably better than limited ammo doesn't it? Especially on a map without traps? I get that it is quite crappy, but at the end of the day, you're not wasting ammo. That seems like it's a top tier weapon. Although, I don't know if killing and waiting for it to cool down is faster than killing with normal weapons. So that may be it's downfall.
  11. Anyone PS3 happen to have a Theatre game saved of pushing the button for Maxis and Richtofen? Much appreciated.

  12. Do you think the zombie is just a regular zombie in armour or something smart? Perhaps retaining some human functionality? The Panzer can do a regular attack with punches, but it can also activate a flamethrower and a detaching claw that brings back whatever it grabs. And it can also fly off. These are all qualities in the armour, but would a regular zombie be that smart to activate it? We have seen throughout the series the zombies have gotten stronger, or smarter. Simply taking down boards to sideways dodges and rolls. Increased jumps to increased speeds/running. But could they have gotten that smart to activate and use the controls for the Panzer Solidat? I imagine the humans chosen for the Panzer Solidat would've had to have been special and not just a regular person to wear and use that kind of armour. It's clear Germany would've won the war with the technology they had. So, is it just a regular zombie? Or is it a special smart zombie, perhaps retaining some smarts from when it was human?
  13. I have mixed thoughts about this. I am biased towards Playstation, so a part of me would like this. But a part of me wouldn't. I can't quite explain it, but I feel like this would ruin the fluidness and dynamics (that doesn't make sense). I don't know. It's just one game, not a lot would change especially if Microsoft have a long lasting contrast. That would be weird, making it on PS4, exclusive to One. I'm with Slade, the ported copies need to be up to the highest standard and not just a simple copy and paste. I would also like to see an end to Timed Exclusive DLC, I hate it. It should come out equally at the same time on all systems. If that was done, than it really wouldn't matter what leading console was.
  14. Pretty nice theory, surprised no one has commented. I think there is a connection between the Big Guy, the Time Bomb, and the Paralyser. I think they were somehow used in making the Big Guy, well big, and the lack of apparent ageing. This thread has got my theory juices working up again.
  15. Literally. There was a discussion a while back about the same thing, but I can't seem to find it. Oh well. I think Wonder Weapons aren't just exclusive to including 115 now. I think with BO2, the definition and description seems to have laxed a bit, and become just a unique weapon that does big things/wonderous. Yeah the Sliquifer and Jet Gun are buildables, but I'd say they are still Wonder Weapons. Treyarch stuffed up here though IMO, but they tried fixing that as the maps released. Jet Gun wasn't PaPable, broke after use. Being Equipment was unique and nifty though, not taking up a slot (but this is basically why Mule Kick wasn't in TranZit). Sliquifer not PaPable, but doesn't break, a regular gun, and becomes a box weapon. Blundergat PaPable, already a box weapon. Closest to the BO1 Wonder Weapons. Paralyser is basically a mixture of everything above but with it done right. Staves are buildables, but acquiring the parts are more unique and upgradeable by other means. Perhaps if the Jet Gun and Sliquifer were upgradable like the staves, they would be more better. I've always wondered how there names came about though. Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23. Why so specific? And why Model 23? And the Sliquifer, you see it's silhouette with the weapons in Studio. Are these weapons original creations of the N4? Or are they actually Wonder Weapons, but these versions are just made of scraps/anything you can find? Perhaps the real versions of both look much cleaner and better than the ones we see in game?
  16. Ascension has the worst loading screen to intro song ratio.

  17. Don't forget to add Solo and Co-Op areas. And whether you want Co-Op to just be Co-Op or seperated into 2p, 3p and 4p. Something seems fishy about this whole thing. I watched most of the video. I don't know if you'd consider that proof or not, as I'm not an expert in that sorta stuff. Seems like Wings is pointing out the truth, but I honestly can't stand Wings. And also, I'm pretty sure he said he threw away his dongle hacker thingy, and yet he still has it to prove a point. Whatever the outcome, I wonder how this affect people's perception on high rounds and records?
  18. I know the general area of all the buildables, but only specifically the spots for 70% of them maybe? NAV Card tables are probably the least one's I know about though, along with Guillotine and Noose pieces in Buried.
  19. Anyone know how to get BO2 loading screens without writing? I've seen and have Green Run (except Diner) screens and MotD screen without writing in HD. Anyone know how I could get the others without writing? I assume it's a PC job so any help would be appreciated.

    1. Slade

You can get them by extracting the texture files from each map.

I've got all of them somewhere on my PC if you're only looking for the screens.

      Rissole25

If you could get them that would be helpful mate!

I only need Diner, Die Rise, Buried, both Boroughs and Origins. And if it's possible, Call of the Dead from BO1?

      Thanks again Slade. :)

      You're welcome.

I'll go through my files tonight and see what I can find for you.

  20. Thanks for the responses guys. Buried's ambience is my favourite too, but Temple of Death is also up high for me. @TAMB Haha that would be a huge task. Way too many to list all of them. @MMX Re-Damned is pretty good. I'm amazed how retro they made it, yet how much they packed into it. It definitely fits in with the labs area, but it's a shame it's only covers a small area. Glad they made it a full scale song in Nuketown. I actually love all the Damned themes. Curious to see if and how they'll remix it for the next game.
  21. Those bullshit downs on Call of the Dead. 47 twice, maybe 50 for third time lucky?

I haven't made it that high, but I would always get downed by a Zombie spawning underneath me & trapping me. BS

  22. No matter your opinion on the Call of Duty series, you can't argue that it has rich and good soundtracks. I would like to see this included with Zombies. Today I want to talk about the Ambience and Background Music in maps. Mob of the Dead, Buried and Origins really bought the ambience and background music to whole new levels, even making two whole soundtracks dedicated to Mob of the Dead and Origins. Treyarch made these maps very thematic in terms of playing experience (which I would like to see also in the future). But these aren't the first ambience and background music has been made for zombies. Call of the Dead has A Cold Wind Blows. You may have heard parts of it, otherwise it is relatively unheard. Shangri-La has Temple of Death. Again, you may have heard parts of it. This song also appears in TranZit and Die Rise, and possibly Nuketown, but I can't verify that. Kino der Toten and "Five" also had Damned. It is the theme of Zombies, and is not uniquely made for those two. I also want to touch on Ambient/Background sounds. These are included in every map. I won't list them all, but here are some notable examples. Verruckt: Screaming humans Der Riese: Sirens, ticking clock Shangri-La: Monkeys sounds, gongs resonating Nuketown: Constant rushing wind sound MotD: Thunder, chains Treyarch are doing a fine job in the sound department. But the point of this thread was about the ambient/background music. By the way the last three maps came out in terms of ambience/background music, I don't think we have to worry though. Treyarch seem to be trying make it a common thing. I hope they are anyway. Anyway, tl;dr, I hope Treyarch continue with the ambient/background music in future maps, stylized and themed for each map like those listed above.
  23. We need more threads like this. Have some juicy It's crazy to think Claymores can fix it, but in a sense it does kinda make sense. The Claymore G-Spawn error was fixed in BO2, so I imagine it is related.
  24. Can we have the Origins O4 as the pictures? Would help distinguish it from the medal variants.
  25. If you have any cool pictures from Zombies, message Infest! If not, go into BO2 theatre, and try and get a picture from there! :)

      What do you mean?

If this is a competition, can you grab that Origins screenshot from my Theatre?
