People should check out Fated's theory. I think it's a working one that fits everything nicely and still has all events occur (except for Origins). viewtopic.php?f=155&t=35895 I definetly feel like Jimmy or someone from 3arc needs to speak out about it. Confusion about this may lead people to stop playing CoD, Zombies, etc. Which in turn may just affect Zombies' future.

Sound theory Fated. This actually does make sense. I wanna clarify a few things on your points though. 1. Richtofen could've transferred his brain into another body, which would also explain the age thing. 2 & 3. In this new body, Maxis eventually gave birth to Samantha. All the events happen, Samantha ends up in Agartha, somehow being able to talk to her father in the past. Think BTTF (Back to the Future). Of course Maxis wouldn't know of a daughter because he hadn't given birth at that time. However, than you listen to that first part where Samantha says she'd protect them Forever and it just doesn't fit. I don't think there's any connection to Eddie and the Big Guy though. Probably may have both been based off the same model. Anyway, I want your theory to be the answer. This would also co-incide with the statement pre-BO2 that the O4 would return in "some" form. As a story told by Samantha. That ""some" form" part is distinct. It wasn't a straight out "yeah you'll play as them", or "no you won't". They might not have said it because it was pre-release, but they easily could've said the usual "Maybe" or "You'll see". But yeah, I don't think this is a cop out like everyone's saying. There is so much more to it than meets the eye. I just hope actual answer is this or close to it anyway.

I thought that at first as well. But I actually think she is holding an action figure like the one's there playing with. This action figure is meant to represent us, the player. Also, if anyone sees the Misty action figure let me know. I can't see it with the Marlton, Samuel or Russman ones. :(

This makes me smile. I think it's awesome and really nice you did that for him. :)

EMP's in Grief are made for trolling. As for TranZit and Survival, there isn't really much you can do. Except spin it three times or away from the player. But generally players won't do that to you. Never encountered people like that, they've usually been courteous enough. If they do that, just try to ruin their trains and get them down if it was done purposely.

The only thing I've found on the web is that people are starting to claim that Samantha Maxis' giant shadow on the Moon Loading Screen was the giant robots If a hot fix was added, I doubt it was anything huge. Maybe a few glitch fixes, but that's about it.

Seems like its pointing to Samantha. As said, the only other person that comes to mind is Sophia. Unless of course it's a character yet to be revealed.

Difference in upgrade? // ULTRA

It's not Extended Clip or Fast Mag is it? Those are the only attachments I can think of that would apply in that area, but even than it doesn't look like them. We know RePaPing gives different attachments. Just yeah, don't know what that one is. Have you looked at it in 3rd person/Theatre Mode? See what it looks like when it's being held, reloaded, etc. -
Nice. Anyone notice they fixed Nikolai's last name? It's Belinski now, not Belinksi. On Samantha's voice, the voice may have been used to hide that it was Samantha. With this trailer you could easily tell, but with the original, you were guessing throughout it all. Could've been a placeholder but I really doubt it. As for why she doesn't have a German accent? Am not really sure about that. Could be a good reason. But yes, this will hopefully be the intro cinematic instead of the original.

Might just be he loses himself when he sees blood, being a sociopath. He didn't really react when Tank, Nikolai and Takeo came in, or when they pointed their guns at him. Perhaps he gets off (not literally ), or gets on a high when he sees blood (he likes to bathe in zombie blood). But yeah, I think it's him possibly coming off his high.

Very nice analysis Lithman. Love the high quality pics. The sign says "RAP STATION 3" I believe. RAP stands for Regimental Aid Post. Basically, a RAP was generally right behind the front lines, and was a quick stop first-aid station. You were patched up and sent back into the lines, or if you were unable to, were sent back further to receive further medical care in larger stations equipped with your needs. Here's further reading on it: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regimental_Aid_Post Anyway, this indicates at least 3 stations like these in the area. We may have access to them all or just this one. Either way, Richtofen may have been stationed in one of these (being a Doctor, and eventually a back alley surgeon) and is the room we see him in on the trailer. Though surgeries and the like we're not generally performed in RAP (be that location or because of equipment), it's Richtofen here. Anyway, that's just a theory for Richtofen. But yes, that is RAP STATION 3, a quick first-aid station by the front lines. :)

Flying Turbines, Floating Trample Steams, it's a crazy world out there haha.

Maybe it's possible that this Samantha isn't actually Samantha Maxis? It's unlikely, but it's still possible. I'll be disappointed if there's no reasonable explanation for the change in voice if it is SamMax.

Oh my god yes :') Sexy picture, and it looks like an ACTUAL cutscene. Been dreaming of seeing the O4 walk and move there mouths while they talk for years, and I'll finally see it become reality this week if this picture is anything to go by. Oh and Tank and Takeo look like they've got Python's, or even .44 Magnum's. Nikolai looks to be holding a Double Barrel Shotgun which is sweet.

The 1996 sign in Die Rise.
Rissole25 replied to TheRealMistyBriarton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I've always been under the assumption that from Call of the Dead onwards it's been 2011. So I believe the rockets hit in 2011, and TranZit, Die Rise and Buried take place in 2025. SDC easily could've been formed before 2025, as there is nothing to suggest in the Campaign it was formed that year. In fact, I'd say there's reason to suggest the SDC had been around for a while. I'd have to play through the Campaign again to see the exact conservations, but yeah. -
jet gun vs. paralyzer. What did they do wrong?
Rissole25 replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think it's more a combination of things than the weapon itself. - Cool-down: Jet Gun can only cool down while held out, while the Paralyser doesn't. - Availability: Jet Gun has to be built and collected around the big TranZit map, as well as the possibility of breaking apart, while the Paralyser is available from the box, with increased chances as well because of lower number of weapons. - Vulture Aid: Jet Gun doesn't have it's help, so you can't wait or collect "ammo" to help it cool-down, while the Paralyser can. - Mobility: Jet Gun drags you forward, can't really be used while moving backwards, and it can't be sprinted with. Paralyser can do all those things and also make you fly around. - Map: TranZit is an open area, not really any camping or small hallways available. Buried has small-medium areas, but with camping areas. The Jet Gun would thrive in these areas, but it doesn't have that access. The Paralyser does though. - Firing: The Jet Gun has to be close to the zombies to do damage, and it only does damage in the middle, not the sides. This causes a big problem with trains, as they'll surround you, and you can't damage them as it only hits the middle. The Paralyser can be fired from a distance, slows zombies down, and has a wider radius. - Pack-a-Punch: The Jet Gun can't be PaP'd, while the Paralyser can. - Time: The Jet Gun overheats faster than the Paralyser. - Power-Ups: The Jet Gun can "drag" power-ups towards you, while Paralyser can't. Clearly we can see the Paralyser is the winner here. But the biggest variables for me are Cool-down, Availability, Map and Mobility. If these were swapped around, I think the Jet Gun would be more fun and better. I mean, if that makes me spoiled rotten, than I am spoiled rotten. I just think the Jet Gun could've been so much better. Anyway, I think if the Jet Gun was used it the Juggernog hallway in Buried, it'd be good. All in one line, bunched up, so they can't really go around you and out of the line of fire. I think if they could've added the ability to fly with the Jet Gun, it'd be nice. It can pull you forwards, so if you aim upwards, it could've pulled you into the sky. Obviously risky as you can't see around you, only upwards, but it would be nice. Anyway, these are my views. I think the Jet Gun could've been better, as seen with the Paralyser. -
Lucky. Lately I've been getting 20k out of the bank per round and still not getting it. That's about 3 box moves worth of points, and with Die Rise's box locations, it's so annoying running after it.

Treyarch maybe realized they made a mistake.
Rissole25 replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
But that's where our opinion differs. I actually really liked the N4. They brought something fresh the O4 could not provide. Were they replacing the O4? Defiantly not. It just that this portion of the story was told through their eyes. I don't think it was a mistake to tell the story through a set of different eyes. A different perspective, a fresh view on things, and a chance to provide fresh side-stories that had nothing to do with Group 935 or the Vril-Ya. It was well needed to have a set of new characters to co-exist along with the O4, as they were getting repetitive and stale. Could the N4 have been better? Yes, and so could the maps to reflect them (Die Rise could've been made Broken Arrow's HQ, much needed backstory on Russ and Stuh would've been given, but nope). But they weren't as bad as most people made them out to be. -
The rift was that giant hole in Buried, next to the mining operation and underground town. It might have had something to do with Agartha's gateway, so when Richtofen says "Mend the Rift", that might've been him just basically saying "Give me control of the towers". Since Maxis doesn't say anything about it, it could be assumed the rift was the gateway to Agartha, and that Richtofen wants to "mend" it so Maxis doesn't use it.

Treyarch maybe realized they made a mistake.
Rissole25 replied to feedthemachine94's topic in General Zombies Discussion
There's no proof the N4 are dead. The way I see it (and am hoping) is that this map is just there because "everyone" loves the O4 and thinks they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. With the negative reception the N4 got, Treyarch just thought "oh we'll just bring back the O4 and make everyone happy". In reality, I think they wanted to continue the story forward with the N4. Have a climatic finale with the N4 and Maxis/Richtofen. A great final chapter to Black Ops 2. Instead they gave into pressure and gave us the O4. Instead of moving the story forward, they gave us a prequel. To give us backstory and not ruin the plan they had set in motion. With the next Treyarch game, I definitely think we will start off with the N4 and the events that followed Buried. Maybe not exactly as it would've been had it been the finale, as I'm sure there will be changes story and gameplay wise to suit a first map rather than a finale map. Anyway, that's what I think happened.
