Hey guys, if you seen my iOS Ascension findings thread, you would've seen what I'm talking about. If not, here are the images. Now the first thing you'll think of is that it is made like because the graphical limitations of iOS can't handle them being blown away. I thought of this too, however I changed my mind for reasons which I will state below. - When you kill a crawler by knifing it, it flies (or should I say 'snaps') back a bit. Using that kind of code, they could've made the zombies fly backwards after being shot. - If it was graphical limitations, than they could've just let them drop to ground as if being killed by a non-wonder weapon. - The monkeys die in the same way (check 5th image), but they activate the red pulse on death as well. There console counterparts don't, so they could've just made them drop dead without any red pulse. However, I don't see any reason to make it like that, other than graphical limitations which I stated possibly couldn't be an issue. So what do you make of this. Take it seriously or not?

Everyone got a free gift of 5000 points with the update, but I'm not sure if it applies to people who buy it after the update. Every successive day you play, you gain 100 CoD points, or something like that. But the main way you get them is to use real money to get the points. But I don't think there would be anyone stupid enough to buy/need the points. I think CoD points will be in the next game, but it'll be just like Black Ops. Where you earn CoD points by playing, than spend it on upgrades. I don't see how it could work with buyable points as well. Perhaps points may be a function of Elite, which I'm betting will be in it. Whether it effects zombies though... I suppose it could come in handy when you have points, but really, I would only see beginners using it. Anyone who plays zombies long enough should successfully be able to gather points and survive. Knowing how to circle/train already means you don't need them. At first buying a Quick Revive when you died I thought was pretty cool. However I now realize it makes Quick Revive redundant, and you don't ever need it. Why buy it when you can just buy it when you die? Why not use it for another perk? Really bad if they implement that.

Just had to put these up lol. Yes I don't like the idea. Basically don't need quick revive because you could just buy it on death.

Just like my Kino one, I've done a findings thread for iOS Ascension. While no big changes map wise, there are some interesting things you should know. The first thing you'll notice is you'll come down on the lunar lander just like it's console counterpart. As usual, the centrifuge lies ahead of you. Major difference now is, Gersch does not greet you. They have got the scientist zombies pretty right. All in all, the map is pretty much identical to the console one, unlike iOS Kino. The teddy locations are in the same location. The rocket rises up like always when the power turns on. Funny thing is though, when the reticule is put over it, it'll turn red like it's an enemy. Obvious hint that it can be destroyed Once destroyed, the Double Points power-up is at the bottom like before. The Cassimir Mechanism, but it does not work, as there is no easter egg sadly. I even tried throwing a Gersch for the first step, but there is nothing there. The Gersch Device. Was very surprised this one was in. It's vertical when it's in the box however, and the pull is VERY weak, as if they far away. The pull does not get faster either as they get closer. Not to be used as a killing machine, and if it is, throw it directly into th group. Matryoshka Dolls. They are look like eggs now, and do not have a Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo or Richtofen doll in them. The perks, Stamin-Up and PhD Flopper. Stamin-Up is very useful I find, whereas PhD is not needed in the iOS. You can't flop, and perks from it are explosive and fall damage negated. Mustang is a poor weapon to use in iOS, so I do not recommend getting PhD. The Lunar Landers work like normal, but you can't just run to it and activate. You must be facing the control panel for the option to appear. Space Monkeys in iOS! They work the same way, although I think they go for you more than perks. The cannot throw grenades straight back at you, only a small distance towards you. It's a huge advantage, so you can use Matryoshka Dolls if you wanted. Random Perk Bottle sometimes doesn't appear. Death Machine acts the same, but with the rapid fire glitch, it can be fatal picking it up. Where Mule Kick should be. Funny how there is a green light. The Mystery Box light. Looks like a massive lazer, but it appears dark from far away. The centrifuge. It spins about 3 seconds after it stops beeping. When beeping, the Russian announcer comes over the speaker and says: "Warning. Centrifuge malfunction. Please follow all posted safety regulations". The Sparky batteries. It was thought they were apart of the easter egg. I don't actually remember those stairs being there. It's where the rocket is before it goes up. Don't remember that sign being their either, but I'm probably wrong. It's seen around the map a couple of times. The Sickle works exactly the same. A clock. Opposite the Richtofen matryoshka doll. I think it's meant to be 11:59, however it technically says 12:59, but I'm sure that's a mistake. Fire Sale on the TV still occurs. It's funny because they use the images from the console TV's on them, so it's pretty funny. The Thundergun. It seems to vapourize them, or turn them into mist. I believe it is something major, and not just a graphical limit because they couldn't be blown away. The monkeys also turn into a mist thing as well. Click for here for the Thundergun thread! Now this is other part I find major. The Richtofen doll is in the correct place. Takeo's doll however, has taken Nikolai's spot! Next to Speed Cola. His original location is gone. The shelves are not there. Tank's doll is not next to the Claymores either. I have scoured the map and have not found Tank or Nikolai's dolls. So where are the missing Matryoshka Dolls? The rocket missile thing crashed through can be walked up to, and around, seeing as no debris is stopping it. Zombies can get there as well though. The fencing is now actually a solid fence, only there. Ran into a major glitch haha. Called the lander over to the Casimir Mechanism area. Immediately acted like it was there and I had activated it, taken me up into the air. The invisible 'lander' took me straight out of the map, and set me down. Didn't get to explore much as I fell down into the area behind the lander at the Casimir Mechanism. Had to down myself. What you get when it ends, but only if you haven't rated it. Zombies jump up and down the ledges like their console selves. Square tires anyone? You can no longer jump down from the ledge as it has been blocked. It rules it out as a training location. The mural is still there in all it's unknowing-ess. I guess that's it for now. Not as much stuff as the Kino one, but still 2 relevant findings; Characters Matryoshka Dolls, and the Thundergun vaporizing (not really Ascension specific as it appears in Kino as well). Anyway I'll post if I find the missing Tank or Nikolai dolls, or if I find anything else! Thundergun has been proven not to be a change, just a graphical solution. Ignore it.

IT'S OUT IT's OUT IT's OUT!!!!! Little bit excited hehe. iOS Ascension findings will be up in a couple of hours. Here is what the update says OMG it looks good already haha! -
Thanks for the feedback guys! Really means a lot Chapter 4: The Element Everyone was quiet for a moment. The information they had all just read and heard was processing through their minds. For Takeo, he knew he had to be wary of Richtofen. He was neither ally nor adversary. For Tank, he realized Richtofen was more than the weird guy he hated. He was more insane and dangerous than he thought. For Nikolai, he wondered where Richtofen would lead, and what he would do with them. He soon put the thoughts out of his head when an alcohol fueled thirst came over him. "Um...whatever. Let's just go", said Dempsey casually. "We must be careful of him", replied Takeo. Dempsey and Nikolai grunted in agreement. The trio got their things and left the hut. As they traversed through the mucky, slimy water of the swamp, an ominous alien like buzzing sound could be heard. "Sounds like fourth wife, when she snored", Nikolai joked, though no one laughed. "What is that?", asked Dempsey. "Over there!", said Takeo. He pointed towards a foggy area outside fenced area of the swamp. "It's coming from over there." "It's something red...the Red Menace?", Nikolai chuckled, noticing the fog appearing a reddish-orange colour in the area. "A Wonder Waffle maybe?", questioned Dempsey, seeing the random glows of what looked like electricity. The three of them approached, guns at the ready, unsure of what was to come. The fog cleared as they reached the fence. A large meteor lay meters in front of them. It emitted an unhealthy reddish-orange glow. Sporadically, small jolts of lightning bounced across it, just like those of the Hellhounds that appeared in with a bolt of lightning. They all stared at it for a minute, observing it, before Takeo spoke. "This rock, it is not of this place.", he said humbly. "I think the Red Menace would be interested in this space rock.", Nikolai said with greed. "I wonder if that rock brought those freak-bags...", thought Dempsey out loud. "Ahh zat rock! Must be where element 115 comes from!" They all turned around with surprise to see Richtofen standing behind. "Dempshey, we're on a tight schedule, and you are just...lollygagging around as usual. Do you even want to leave here?", sneered Richtofen. "Fuck up doc, we were just heading there", Dempsey replied with anger. He walked viciously fast and knocked Richtofen over as he passed him, not even caring about what he had just read before. "Hey Richtofen, we are we going to?", asked a drunken Nikolai, remembering what he had thought about before. "All in good time, my Russian drunk", being helped up by Takeo. "All in good time". Nikolai jogged off to catch with Dempsey, though he kept swerving side to side because of the temporary loss of his perception. Takeo looked at Richtofen, and asked. "What is it Richtofen?", referring to the meteor. "Everything...and nothing. The beginning, and the end.", Richtofen smirked. He looked at Takeo, looking him up and down, and walked off. Takeo was great with riddles, but this one he did not understand. But he was sure he would find out soon enough. He took one last look at the meteor, and walked on after Richtofen.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for iPhone, iPad and iPod
Rissole25 replied to Covert Gunman's topic in Black Ops
So I know several threads have been made already, but I feel like this should belong in the main iOS thread as well. This means Ascension! It'll probably be early Saturday morning for me when it's released. I'll be doing an iOS Ascension findings thread just like my Kino one, but I have to babysit my cousin on Saturday so I may/may not have it up on the day. But it'll definitely be up by the next day! :P -
It's okay haha.
-
Yup haha. I know what I need to fix it, but it's to hard for me to do.
-
It's good to see strategies other than 74u or DG-2. Will probably use it when I attempt 100 on CotD, as it seems to be the only solid strategy I think! Mixed in with a DG-2 or Scavenger and you could breeze through it. Just a question, do you have to use it in the water, or can it be used on land as well? And would it get rid of a full horde of 24 if they were all bunched together?

Alright so the only trophy's I need are getting 3 stars on all Spec Ops missions. I have done most, but there's a few I need help with. Only thing is, you've got to have an Open/Type 1 Nat, otherwise we cannot connect. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. PSN is my username. :)

Well this is just Juggernog in under a minute here, but Tom and myself also managed a 2 man PaP in just over 3 minutes which is a completely untouched WR. Vid here http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 85&t=20186 Oh I know that, it's just this reminded me of the PaP video haha. Very impressive. You guys deserve way more subscribers.
-
Wow...I can only PaP in around 2 minutes, not even that. You guys both managed to do it in under a minute. Congratulations! :D

Honestly I have no idea now. The leaderboards and achievements have been up for over a month now and still nothing. I originally thought it would come out Feb 2nd, as it would be the 1 year anniversary of it. Didn't come. So than I thought okay, maybe March 2nd/3rd, the time it came out on PS3? Still nothing. All I'm gonna say is soon. Because I've gotten my hopes it would come out on those days but it never did.

Found it on the wiki. Don't judge me haha. It looks like it would've been some kind of cannon type. Might've been OHKO. Perhaps working like the flamethrower, or the LAW even where it would shoot a big burst and cover an area. The core part looks similar to how it is now, except it's one massive one. The bottom part looks like it could hold another core. You can see that red button thing at the bottom is still there. Also the iron sights look strangely alike. Looks like it would've been an awesome weapon to use!

Is It Just Me Or Do The Eggs Songs Feel Out Of Place?
Rissole25 replied to TheBrockstah's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I relate the songs with how they sound, not by there lyrics. As story progressed, the music got heavier, we got more screaming, just to show serious and intensity at that point of the story. I think they all suited their respective maps, and at the point of the storyline. But I think the most perfect would be Lullaby for a Deadman because it was a simple, sweet, yet vindictive melody. Verruckt also fitted that criteria since it was basically the base of zombies (apart from Nacht), with Perk-a-Cola's, Traps and moving Mystery Boxes. None of the complicated stuff. Coming Home is also perfect for Moon, because it was intense, like the storyline at that point. -
The tunnels were a nightmare, but S.O.G. is definitely harder. Especially when you get to the hill where you have to throw the barrels. I'd say take it slow, but you probably already know that. Save your grenades if you can for towards the end. Also, try and move forward slowly, than when Woods and Weaver move up just get back safely and try and let them take the soldiers out. There are some parts where infinite soldiers will come though until you move up. Just wait till you do Heart of the Reich on WaW, and you'll be wishing it was like this level haha!

What Would Be Your Biggest Disappointment?
Rissole25 replied to Ehjookayted's topic in Single Player
If Elite is included (which it seems likely, sif they'd have it for just one game, plus Survival was with it and that's IW's equivalent of zombies along with Spec Ops), than I will consider getting it, but ONLY if Microsoft's contract ends, and we get them at the same time as the 360. If the contract doesn't end, than I feel sorry PS3 players, especially if it follows the release dates of MW3 DLC. -
Chapter 3: First Impressions: Part III Nikolai Belinski lay against the walls of the hut, vodka in one hand, the Ray Gun in another. He took a swig of the alcohol, and looked on at the large pile of dead zombies he had createed not a minute ago. Steam was coming out of the Ray Gun he had just used. "Egh, must've overheated", the Russian said to himself. He got up, stumbling slightly for being intoxicated, and went back inside the Storage Hut. He put the Ray Gun on the table to cool down, and pulled out a Trench Gun. It reminded him of his first wife, as he had killed her with a shotgun. She was a bitch. Nikolai went to take another swig of the poison, but was shocked to find there was none left. "WHAT!", he gasped, "I can't be out of vodka already!...Maybe I can find some here". Out of the hundreds of boxes and crates littered around the hut, Nikolai chose one near the entrance. It was next to a crate which had a radio on top of it. Ignoring the radio, he opened the crate. It was full of papers and documents to Nikolai's disappointment. He decided to go through them quickly, to see if he could find out anything. After all, he had no idea what was going on. One document caught his eye, because it had blueprints of what looked like the Ray Gun, just like the one he had on the table. Before he began to read it however, he lent on the crate with the radio on it, causing both the radio and crate to fall, it's contents scattering on the ground. Some of the items were bottles of vodka. "Vodka!", he exclaimed, "I'd knew I'd find you old friend". He began collecting the bottles when Tank and Takeo arrived. "Oi Nikolai, Richtofen says we're leaving so get your shit together and lets go!", said Dempsey "Wait!", interrupted Takeo, picking up one of the newspaper clippings which had came from the fallen box. "It's Richtofen!" "What?", replied Dempsey, "Gimme that!". Having retrieved the Ray Gun, Nikolai put the bottles and his bag on the table, sorting them in. "Goddamnit Nikolai, move your shit!", yelled Dempsey, putting the clipping on the table as well. "Geez Dempsey, you should ligh-" "Shut up pig!", Takeo said, glaring at Nikolai which Nikolai returned. The two hated each other, even though they'd only known each other for a short while. Nikolai wanted Takeo dead, and vice-versa. "Listen up!", Dempsey said to both of them, "I think it's a wanted poster. It's in german but someone translated it.

Everyone says Treyarch confirmed "Five"/Ascension at the same, but did they actually? I haven't ever seen an official post or something by them, and it looks like everyone is believing it because it's on the wiki. I mean, I know they do occur at the same time, but to say Treyarch confirmed it as well?

What about the music that plays at the start of every round? Or wouldn't we be allowed?

Richtofen wearing Ascension/Moon attire in Kino iOS
Rissole25 replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Serious? I thought they just reused his Ascension model instead of making a different one. What was the quote? -
Silly me! I didn't read the Pay with Credit Card OR Log In part. Awesome. I definitely can donate than, but I think I'll wait till the medal system is implemented to see if there are different tiers of donations. :P
