Something interesting in this article....
Rissole25 replied to ZombieOfTheDead's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Development is still overseen by Treyarch. They would tell Ideaworks what to modify, add, remove, etc, and would have the final approval before Activision publishes it. And it would still be considered canon. The Peter's Grave easter egg is what confirmed that the hanging man was Peter. Until than we were just guessing. What shouldn't be considered canon is alterations to the map (like Kino, and how the black portraits are missing (which was probably so they could keep the size of the app down)). Whatever they may add to Ascension and any future maps on the iOS should be considered canon also. I'm betting we get a new radio like in iOS Der Riese, or something like Peter's Grave. I haven't turned up anything in Kino at all, and I haven't heard anything anywhere else, so something new is bound to turn up soon. -

I think we discussed the iOS exclusive content on the main iOS discussion page, but not that it was Peter's DG-2. Don't forget the "Send Waffe to Berlin" note, so maybe Richtofen sent him one for testing purposes maybe? Really can't be sure, because I think once you get his DG-2, you can't get it from the box if no-one else has it (not sure on that though). I'm just wondering who took his body and buried it, unless it was just something the developers did only to confirm that it Peter McCain was the hanging man. If that's not it, than maybe Richtofen buried him with it? Though I doubt it. -
Alright thanks guys. I completely forgot about crawlers. I'm guessing the dogs health don't cap like normal? I would probably only attempt it if I had less than 5 to the target mark. I'd have to do it quickly too because it would soon become impossible.

Haha in Australia we use DD/MM/YYYY. I'm kinda hoping something new was added, like Peter's Grave, or the added 8th radio in Der Riese. Something like that would be fine because it would at least give us new information. But by the looks of it, nothing so far. I haven't heard of anything else discovered. CoD Wiki, though unreliable has nothing new about it. Maybe if not in this, than Ascension. Things could be improved though. I've only died 3 times, every other time the app has crashed. The ranking system is based of your total score, and I think it doesn't include Dead Ops. There are so many weapons missing though. No Snipers, No LAW (but China Lake is...), No SPAS-12, Monkey Bombs or Wonder Weapons. It makes me wonder if they'll include the Gersch Device in Ascension... LMW-YBC, I need you to do something. Because of my internet connection, I can't play it online, so I need you to maybe check some things out that could be different? Maybe if you could get a group of friends together and search around? If that's not possible than that's fine. But when you all teleport, can you check if you all go to the same room? Or if it's 2 in each room? Maybe there could be the other 2 rooms added if 4 are playing.

UPDATE! January 3rd, 2012 The Pentagon Room and the Verruckt room do not exist in this game apparently. I've only been to Samantha's destroyed and normal rooms. They're fairly the same, but with a couple of slight differences. Samantha's Room (Normal) Funny how they have the Monkey Bomb here, but no Monkey Bomb in game. Also Samantha's bedside table has changed texture, sorta resembling piano/keyboard keys. The bear isn't playing chess, the figurines of axis characters aren't there, and perk bottles aren't there, but that's obviously for technical/graphical reasons. You may have also noticed some new abstract art in her bedroom. It actually replaces another picture in the console version, but the odd thing is that there is a weird shadow around it that resembles a frame! From what I can see, it looks a person, with a desk in front of them. But when I look again it looks like there are flowers, or a tree of some sort on the back of this person. So confusing haha! But it could actually be a real life painting, so if anyone comes across it, sees an image, etc, please tell us! Samantha's Room (Destroyed) Pretty much the same as the console counter-part. The window is broken (which you can see the sky and clouds out of. It was just gray on the console). The bear does not have a glowing red eye though, and is not holding a giant Bowie Knife like in the Wii. The abstract painting is no where to be seen, whereas the original painting had fallen to the ground. I'm pretty sure the white line in the 3rd picture is a hole the developers forgot to cover up, or just bad object placing. Just the 115 meteors that play '115'. Abracadavre will probably be in Ascension. Dual Wield doesn't exist in this game, so M&S, or just Sally, looks like the C-3000 b1at-ch35. To counter it, it has 12 shells reload instead of the usual 6 per gun. In the next update I'll check all the Dual Wield guns to see how they're affected, and also check other weapons for changes (Skullcrusher doesn't upgrade max ammo, G11 doesn't come with Low Power Scope, etc). The message board to the left of the PaP machine. I think it's the same as the original, though I'll need confirmation on it. Something sounds grammatically wrong with the sentence. Wasn't it just Hold _ to PaP? Not Hold _ to purchase PaP? Aether. You don't get any images though, but you can move (on the spot), fire, crouch/prone, throw a grenade, etc. 3 teddy bears shoot out 3 times before the box rises. Both laughs happen at the same time as well. Can you see what's out of place? Hint: it's at the very top, and outside. I have no idea why they had the building wall arc out like that. All swastika's have been changed to the eagle. In some versions of Black Ops, it is changed to the eagle too. The projector screen just randomly comes out of the roof, and there is no trace of it before the power turns on. However you can only even see half of it from the PaP room, which means half of the image should be appearing on the curtain. The Hellhound spawn limit decreases every Hellhound round apparently. Usually it's 2, but there is about 6 here. In the crates that replace the alien thingys in the capsules, you can partially see sand bags that could possibly be dead bodies, but I can't get a good overhead view of them, so this was the next best thing. They look like actual sandbags though, and there was only one in the box, at the very bottom of it, not 4 bunched together. I'll investigate it further. A billboard sign has appeared in the room above the alley, but the words are facing the window, and it's unviewable from the outside. It partially has no model though, so you can see the words. It looks the same as the billboard right by Double Tap, but it's different, because the word Kino is in the top right, while on the normal billboard it's in the bottom left. Not sure what to think of it.

I've noticed a lot of you guys getting very close to 300, but not quite making it. The highest I've gotten is 195 I think, but wanted to hit 200. What I wanted to know, would it be a viable option to try to knife those last few kills to hit that mark you were so close to? By that time you would've used all your M&S shots, and the zombies would be quite strong, so would it be impossible to kill them by knifing before they die out? If it can be done though, would it be better to go for the zombies or Hellhounds?
-
That's probably what it is actually. I thought it was Wunscflos at first. The translation would certainly fit the title, so I'll update the main post with it. [brains] Unfortunately Photobucket is being stupid. Everything else but the Upload button appears, and I need to upload the last 5 or so images. I can do the update without them though, so if it hasn't fixed itself by tonight than I'll post the update.

Dude there's no need to get frustrated. We are all just posting our opinions on the matter. It is a very delicate subject with evidence that can be taken differently by all. You also have to remember peoples opinions differ when it comes to the definition of words. Usually when I hear the word sociopath, I think insane. Now that may not be the case for some people. How insane/mad/whateverwordyouwanttouse was Richtofen? We don't know. We just know that to some degree, in todays standards, he would be considered insane for what he had done. We also know that he got worse after touching the M.P.D.. It planted a seed in his mind, starting out small and working onto bigger things, changing his priorities. I'm just wondering if he was with the Illuminati before or after he touched it.

Are you gonna end up doing Shi No Numa? I mean it wouldn't really be a Master Zombies Guide if there's no guide for one map Great work! I just seen that the UOTM poll has closed, and you've got the most votes as well, so congratulations on that! You deserved it.

Oh it's just simple iPod feature, which I'm guessing works on the iPhone and iPad. You press the power button and the home button at the same time and wallah! There should be a white flash and the screen cap should appear in your photo's. Just be wary in this game as maybe 20-25% of the time it will crash right after taking the picture. I edit the size of them in Photobucket though because they are way to big and would stretch the thread. I'm nearly done with getting everything for the 2nd update, just need to get some more pictures of Samantha's destroyed/normal room. But it's hard when you hardly go there when you teleport, or the app crashes before you can.

Get Creative! New Zombie Slaying Tools
Rissole25 replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Where can I use this? (Solo, co-op) -Co-Op only, but can be used on Solo if you prefer a challenge. Perks - Juggernog - Stamin-Up - Double Tap - Mule Kick Weapons - HK-21 - SPAS-12 - Galil - Fragmentation/Monkey Bombs This is more a heavy loadout/point whore class. Stamin-Up will take care of your speed troubles while using the HK-21, while Double Tap heavily increases the effectiveness of the HK, and the usefulness of the Spaz. Galil may suffer from ammo loss, however the point of the class is to gain points, while also getting rid of anything in your way. The Galil and SPAS-12 do this very well, especially when aimed at the head. There PaP'd forms make it even better. SPAS-12 becomes SPAS-24 and fully automatic, and is very effective at dispersing enemies if they get to close/get in your way. Double Tap just makes it a machine. The Galil IMO is arguably the strongest Assualt Rifle in Zombies, even when it's the Lamentation. Headshots take enemies from afar-medium range, and is also good for grabbing some points till you get that next Max Ammo. The H115 Oscillator is also another powerful weapon. With the biggest magazine out of all guns, PaP'd, Double Tap and Stamin-Up, you'll be a walking one man army! Possibly not so great up close, but from afar, it is beast! The class suffers from reload times, so it is suggested to stay in a wide area and play it safe while reloading. The SPAS-24 will be your go-to weapon if you're in a sticky situation, the Lamentation if you run out of ammo for the H115, or used from a medium distance to take out zombies, and the H115 should be used from long distance. H115 and SPAS should be used on groups, far and close respectively, while the Lamentation could be used for this or also single zombies. -
Actually the lights are there in the Black Ops version. I can't really get any better qualities pics myself so just check in-game. I'm not saying the theories wrong, just that the lights are still there.

You could buy the $40 map pack (Last time I checked it was $40). It contains all zombie and multiplayer maps and you'd be saving if you wanted to buy them all eventually. I think you'd have fun on all of them. It's basically a new experience since the only thing familiar will be the map layout. No Mule Kick, Solo Revive, BO weapons, Thundergun and Winters Howl, Monkey Bomb and Carpenter on the first 3 maps, and WaW DG-3 JZ ftw! It's your choice, but if you just want to see PaP WaW weapons, than get Der Riese.
-
Welcome! Here's some [brains]'s to get you started, which is just basically reputation points. It's nice to see fellow researchers joining. It may be in it's dead period, but as soon as the viral comes out, Zombies will pick up again. Until than we just go over old discoveries, create and think of new theories, and just research anything that help add to the storyline. I don't think there's any research teams. It's more just a kind of do your own thing, but if you ask others than they'll probably give you something to do. See ya around. EDIT: Derp, gotta wait till I can give brains again :P

Edward, Kino I think? Guessing it's when he kills zombies.
-
No problem! I'll be waiting haha. If you need a close up, better angle or even just want a picture of a certain area I'd be happy to help. I've seen a couple of pictures in Samantha's room that look new.
-
Yep it's true! Here's a picture. I've only been to Samantha's normal room and her destroyed room, and I've taken some pics. I'll update the post with them later. Have you come across the Pentagon room and the Dentist chair room at all?

The problems I had with the last few zombie maps.
Rissole25 replied to milkjuggernogs's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That line is so true. Forcing teamwork to achieve a certain goal will not always work, no matter the prize. If a person doesn't want to do something, than you can't force them too. Especially over a video game. Moon's one is obvious as to why they did it. I mean you couldn't have players in both Area 51 and Griffin Station without something else going wrong in this already glitchy map. Area 51/NML is essentially it's own map, using unique properties (no power ups, no rounds, infinite spawn) to set itself apart from Moon/Griffin Station. I suppose the only way this could have worked would be have rounds take place when you teleport to A51, and have it where they teleport back automatically to Griffin Station after a time limit like in Kino. But this wouldn't make Area 51/NML unique and what it is today. Shangri-La's I could easily see a fix for. If someone has been standing on the plate for a certain amount of time, than they should activate, to counter team players who don't want to/don't know how to. I mean, you wouldn't do that normally, so the game would recognise you're trying to PaP. After a certain amount of time, they would all activate. I see what Treyarch were trying to do, but I think it kinda backfired. Sure it made it more strategic, but it also annoyed a lot of players and fed the trolls. -
Debate and Discussion - Solo vs Co-op
Rissole25 replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yeah I agree that it kinda depends on the map, and some other variables. Nacht der Untoten - Probably far easier if you have competent people who know the strategy and are generally well good. 2 players halve the amount of zombies per person in general, while 3 players breaks it into a 1/3. 8pp. You have no QR on this map for solo, so no second chances, whereas you can get revived in Co-op. For this map, I think Co-Op is easier. Verruckt - Tough. There is no stable wonder weapon to save yourself with, however there are traps. While constantly moving around the map, the zombies always trail behind you. That could be harder to do with more than one person. Solo on this map for me. Shi No Numa - Well you've got 5 traps, a stable wonder weapon, and some good areas to kite in. Easy to revive people, even if they're at the other side of the map. The boredom you might get in Solo won't come for ages if you play Co-op. Co-Op for SNN Der Riese - A well placed map layout. Several kiting areas, boss rounds and PaP. 3 sets of traps and 3 teleporters which may give a random power-up. Hellhounds appearing during rounds make the map hard, depending on what weapons you have and the area. A person with a Ray Gun may not be able to get rid of them safely if they're in the Thompson room. Der Riese on Solo. Kino der Toten - A near symmetrical map. 5 well placed traps, the Thundergun, easy kiting. There are only so many locations in Co-op for kiting though, and most people will only know the stage kite. Syndicate proves how easy this is on Solo. Solo definetly. "Five" - Stupidly placed traps, small area, no stable wonder weapon makes this a hard map on Solo and Co-op. If the Pentagon Thief manages to get away with a good gun of yours than it makes it worse. You will not get far with randoms on this map. A good loop in the War Room, and everyone else can stay in the PaP room, though may leave and stuff up everything due to boredom. If they are skilled they can run top floor with traps, or bottom floor with AK74u, however this introduces Gas Zombies. Awful Lawton is a must. I would pick Solo. Ascension - Considered the easiest map by most. Well placed traps, Thundergun, free perks, PhD Flopper, easiest kiting positions in history. You can do well with both Solo and Co-op. Since the kiting positions are so far apart, you may not be able to revive in time, however multiple people means you can get free perks easier, until later on when only the Thundergun and traps will be useful. This manageable in Solo however. May take a longer time to get to a certain round due to multiple players. A fun map even on Solo. Solo Ascension! Call of the Dead - V-R11 Lazarus. Need I say more? It's Insta-Kill properties and George-going-away abilities make it one of the best weapons in zombies for Co-op. George's health does increase vastly with more players, but if everyone contributes to killing George, than that problem is fixed. DG-2 kills instantly, Scavenger kills till 34, but V-R11 deals with that and any other weapons (especially the AK74u). Ray Gun is also a nice addition to have on this map, great for taking George down. A fun easter egg, good kiting areas and M&S + PhD. Only downside is no traps, but the V-R11 takes some of that problem away. Co-op by far. Shangri-La - A small map with some form of a traps. jGB makes it insanely easier with its great ammo. M&S is a must. Some kiting areas only skilled players could probably do, but just like Verruckt, if you move around the whole map, it makes it easy. Solo. Moon - The last map of Black Ops. If Ascension isn't considered the easiest map than Moon usually is. With an easily accomplish-able EE that grants all perks permanent, Hacker for easy Max Ammo's, Wave Gun/Zap Gun, Gersch Devices, this map is pretty easy on Solo and Co-op. However the excavators can glitch out and stuff up your routine pretty bad. Anyone going down outside the Biodome is most likely doomed. Area 51/NML with Co-op can be hard if you don't have a good strategy going on with others, but fairly easy on Solo. Solo! -
Probably not the best videos but the Shi No Numa meteor gives off an orange radiation. 8bJVcfu8uBM urNYS0dO_Jk

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for iPhone, iPad and iPod
Rissole25 replied to Covert Gunman's topic in Black Ops
Well I doubt we'll be getting around than. It only came out the start of December, so I think they'll be releasing it around every two months, so Feburary I reckon is when Ascension will hit. I'm not sure if it's confirmed, but I heard we're also getting "Five" and the WaW maps again? I'm fine with "Five", but the WaW maps again? If we wanted to play those we'd play the original WaW app. I'd rather see Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon, though I'm not sure how its performance would be. -
The Fire Traps on Ascension, and the traps on "Five"? Though I doubt they are any different to the Electric and Fire Traps on Kino and the WaW maps.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for iPhone, iPad and iPod
Rissole25 replied to Covert Gunman's topic in Black Ops
Anyone notice how they hold weapons in Dead Ops? Sideways Raygun? Count me in! -
Alright so I haven't really seen much about Kino on iOS or if anything new has been found, changes, etc. So I decided to do it myself! It will really give a perspective those who don't have it since there aren't many screenshots going around. First I'd like to show this picture. It's the last loading screen before the intro screen. It's only on for a short time. You'll recognise it from part of the Nacht der Unoten loading screen, except it has the numbers 24, 09, 2011. Now I'm guessing it's referring to 24th September, 2011. I can't find anything noticeable about the date to do with Zombies, except that it was around the time Rezurrection was released on PS3, and a couple of days before the Mule Kick update. The black portrait is gone, and Richtofen's has replaced it. His portrait is the same size as the others, and there is no portrait where Richtofen's use to be. I haven't been able to interact with any of them so far. It could possibly be referring to Samantha being in Richtofen's body, and how she is in the same position as the other characters now. The new poster added. It says Sitzungen ler WunscRos. I'm not sure what it translates to, but Sitzungen means Sessions. Black Wolf has given a good a answer. The same Beware of the 6! sign we see on the console. It's meaning is most likely the Nova 6/Gas zombies. No chandelier. This would most likely mean there are no radios, as shown by the next picture. The wall and the guard tower is still there, but no radio. I tried shooting the same spot on the tower but nothing. The Fernsehturm (the TV tower under constructioin) is not there either This is a new small area added between the traps and the powered door leading to the main room. It's just a small ramp on each side which leads down to the main walkway as shown. Where Mule Kick would be. Who knows if it will; PhD Flopper and Stamin-Up have been mentioned in the in-game help, but nothing about Deadshot Daiquri or Mule Kick. The PAP room. Maxis desk is missing, as well as the blackboard, clock and several other things. The projector is not solid, so there most likely isn't any film reels to find. Railings added to the two staircases and the staircase leading up to the sentry gun. Makes it a little harder if you use and jump of the staircases regularly, but it's manageable. Our favourite clearly hidden message. The Illuminati writing stands for Aether, so "Aether Projectionist". But what exactly is an Aether Projectionist? There are these weird Nova 6 gas clouds just floating about. They are there even before the power is turned on and the Gas zombies arrive. The barrels with the aliens/people in them have been replaced with simple boxes. This could just be for graphical reasons and to keep the size down, or there could be another reason? I found two of these in total so far. It says "Knowledge itself is ̶f̶o̶r̶t̶u̶n̶e̶ for the taking". Possible signature in the bottom left corner but it's illegible. The box with the knocking is gone, and so is the knocking. It could've been removed because it affected gameplay to much, but it's certainly is more than a coincidence. The Pentagon Room and the Verruckt room do not exist in this game apparently. I've only been to Samantha's destroyed and normal rooms. They're fairly the same, but with a couple of slight differences. Samantha's Room (Normal) Funny how they have the Monkey Bomb here, but no Monkey Bomb in game. I'm not sure the reason why, but I've come across a couple of people with a similar situation. They had pretty high rounds, but were at the bottom of the leaderboard all because of the negative time. I only seem to see it on Moon though. Had you been to Area 51 right before that? The time for the round starts again when you return so it may have had something to do with that.
