  1. Here's some more new info. From IGN

Something I'd like to make note of is the comparison to Tranzit, and the mention of the teleporting creatures. The comparison implies that this is not within the Tranzit gamemode, but simply a Survival map. And the teleporting creatures sound a lot like Phasing Zombies from Moon. And they get their own round now too? Neat.

You could be right , but it could also be that the person from IGN just made what is a common mistake among zombie players by calling the map Tranzit instead of Green Run and was really just comparing the two maps, not the two modes. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday!

  2. Here is some new info on turned. Apparently it is only on Diner, and u get a new gun for each kill like gun game. Also, zombies are faster and one hit kill the human.

Here’s how it works: four people hop into the Diner map, all of them spawning in as zombies. The first person to reach a syringe becomes the first survivor, with the others attempting to kill them. The zombies are much, much faster than what you fight in Tranzit, and can kill the survivor in one hit. The survivor starts with a revolver, but then, like Gun Game, unlocks new weapons with each kill. Playing the survivor earns you points, and the person with the most points in the end wins.

While I don’t see Turned becoming something legions of people sink hours into the way they do Tranzit, it worked as a nice palette cleanser. Games take less than 10 minutes, and everyone inevitably gets some time as the survivor because, well, surviving is hard. After you kill a zombie there’s a bit of downtime between bringing the next weapon to bear, and this almost always results in zombies getting the drop on you.

The biggest downer when it comes to Turned? It only works on the Diner map. Hopefully it’ll be expanded with future DLC, because for now it becomes repetitious after only a few rounds.

  3. Turned is only on the Diner part of the Green Run map at this time.

  4. This is from an article on IGN. Not sure if they come by themselves like the dogs or monkeys from previous maps or if they are mixed in with regular zombies like der riese.

There is also some cool info on the turned mode and each of the multiplayer maps in the article as well.

On top of the undead legions, you’ll also face a deadly new minion. They look similar to the goblin-like enemies that lash out at you in the fog on Tranzit, only they come during specific waves, and can do short teleports around the environment. They go down really easily, but can pick off a survivor who strays out on their own with ease.

  5. someone online said throwing emp at enemy tombstone will make it dissapear haven't tried it yet

It's a powerup so yea it will disappear like any other powerup when you throw EMP.

Tombstone is not available in grief.

  6. There are definitely buildables. This is from the map pack description on Callofduty.com

Zombies are about to be taken to new heights, as the undead threat goes vertical in “Die Rise.” Moving along a series of collapsed skyscrapers, players must watch their step when fighting through the maze-like terrain. With brand new buildables and Wonder Weaponry though, players will be well-armed for this Zombies experience.

  7. These were from a week long teaser campaign that they did prior to release where each "delivery" was a picture of one of the parts used to make the buildables. Nothing of importance now.

  8. I would like to think the bus carries your tombstone with it. That would be helpful, in a way.

Unfortunately, it just floats and passes through the bus like when you kill a zombie at the front of the bus while it is moving and get a drop. Your tombstone just stays in the fog wherever you were, which sucks because it is a pain in the ass trying to get to it once you come back.

  9. Great post, I agree with most of the points made.

I think that the large size of the map and the difficulty getting to teammates to revive them is the main reason for the inclusion of Tombstone. Where the The teamwork comes into play is communicating where the player went down and then getting the rest of the team to go to that spot so that when the next round starts, the downed player can get their tombstone and have their perks and weapons immediately and get right back to killing without having to worry about surviving with a pistol for a round.

One of the funnest moments for me so far was when one of my friends went down out in the fog between power and town with tombstone and the 3 of us that were left had to escort him to his tombstone with zombies everywhere and Denizens attacking all of us when the next round(22) started. Shit got crazy, but we got it and got the hell out of the fog with everyone alive!

  10. This is not confirmed since I have not actually bought Double Tap 2 in game, but one of my friends said that in addition to the usual increase in fire rate like the old double tap, it also allows you to fire 2 bullets for every one shot, effectively doubling the damage. Can anyone else confirm this?

I figure this makes sense due to the logo's design and the fact that there has to be something new added to the perk's effects, otherwise why would they bother changing the logo and name.

  11. Yea it sucks, but the ting you guys are missing is that the season pass isnt $10, it's $10 off of all the DLC for black ops II

The actual price of the season pass is $50

I didn't miss this, I even mentioned it in my post. How many zombie players who purchased the HE solely for Nuketown zombies(I know you get some other stuff, but I doubt many peeps said to themselves "I really want that avatar costume and the coins, that seems worth $20) were not planning on buying all 4 map packs? I would think not many, so why would anyone choose to spend $60($15x4) when they can spend $50(season pass)unless they just don't currently have $50 to pre-pay for the 4 future map packs.

The season pass just makes sense for zombie players. My point is if they had announced it a week ago, I would have cancelled my HE and just bought regular+ season pass($110) instead of HE + season pass ($130) since in a month al I'll have to show for it is a metel case and some coins.

  12. I'm in the same boat. Kinda sucks since the majority of people who bought the HE did so for the zombie map and will likely also buy the season pass since every map pack will most likely have a new zombie map included and it makes no sense to buy them individually and pay $10 more.

I am ok with the fact that they are letting people get the maps early since the classic maps were not released for a year in BLOPS1 and by that time not many people were playing them, but I think they could have made them wait longer than a month.

The other key difference is that they gave everyone who had already bought hardened the moon map for FREE so I got to play the classic maps for a year and then basically got a refund of $15 of the $20 I spent on the HE because I would have paid for Moon regardless.

I also think it was pretty shady for them to wait until Monday to make the announcement so that it was too late for people to cancel their HE preorders. As happy as I was with the way they treated HE owners in BLOPS, I am equally unhappy with their tactics this time.

If I choose to hope that they will do something similar this time and they don't, I will already have missed the opportunity for the season pass and will be stuck paying $60 for the 4 map packs. I think they should have offered a discount for HE owners who also plan on purchasing the season pass.

Oh well, you live and you learn. In the end it's only $20.

  13. @P Diddily, the one that says RIP is Tombstone, the other one is just a redesigned Double Tap, Stamin up is in there as a sixth perk through

Double tap is the first one shown in the pic. It seems odd that they would have double tap shown twice. I have not actually bought double tap in the game yet though. is the symbol for it the 1st or the 6th one shown?

I am kinda disappointed in the lack of new perks(and loss of flopper). Tombstone is great, though!

  14. I just clicked on the link to view the larger image and the picture on the last perk shows one bullet splitting into two. I think this means it either doubles the number of bullets, or doubles the damage inflicted(similar to stopping power like zaptn. said). Since we already have double tap, we know it doesn't double the fire rate.

  15. The achievement "Dance on my Grave" says: In Green Run, acquire your Tombstone.

Since the wording says acquire YOUR tombstone, I am inferring from this and the picture of the perk bottle that if you have this perk and die, a tombstone is placed where you die and you have to actually go back and pick it up in order to regain whatever benefit the perk gives you (weapons/perks/etc).

The wording of the achievement makes it sound like each character will have a tombstone specific to them, so whatever beneficial effects there are to collecting it will not be able to be snaked by other players. Just my 2 cents.

  16. Are you sure that it's not just the users already apart of this community re-reading the thread again?

    I know I've read it a few times myself.lol

Great post, brings back all kinds of memories! Although, why no love for Verruckt ? The Perk a colas, those damn Usain Bolt sprinters, the general creepiness of the map, and splitting the team in two at the start combined with the discovery of the classic multiple extra weapon bouncing betty glitch is what really started me on my now four year(wow) old Nazi Zombie obsession.

  17. While I do not know the exact numbers for how much faster it is, I can confirm that it is indeed quicker with Speed Cola. If you have any doors that still need to be hacked after you get speed it is very noticeable. I'd say it roughly halves the time it takes to hack. Also, when you go to hack the PAP on high rounds it is very helpful in getting the gates closed before too many zombies join you inside.
