Zombie rage attack! My top 10.
MegaAfroMan replied to MegaAfroMan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Ah how could I forget Mr. Romero! The second most annoying character besides the Space Michael Jackson from hell/ Astronaut zombie. I will have to add him. When I feel inspired later I will give it a go! -

H. Porter, escaped to Africa! *UPDATED
MegaAfroMan replied to BlindBusDrivr's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Didn't Porter only design the X2 Ray gun and Dual Zaps? -
Hello MegaAfroMan here! Bringing you another contemplation on the game we all know and love as Zombies. Unfortunately I do not have any mind blowing theories, or life saving strategy guides, but instead would like to hear your input on what makes you rage in a game of zombies, be it solo or multiplayer, map related, AI related, or player related. I will go ahead and state my top ten reasons for raging. 10. Host migration. I hate it, everyone hates it. I have not found anyone who can say "I love host migration!" There is no real reason it has to be as bad as it is. And with the rarity of mics out there when you stumble into a lobby of 3 talkitive players with decent records you know that in a few short seconds you will watch the timer tick down to the dreaded migration... 9. Split-screeners. I do not know what any of you may have experienced, but to me it seems like every time I enter a lobby with a player who has a guest, they never ready up. Ever. I have waited 15 minutes once. No longer. I give them 3 at most. Usually not even that unless they have an amazing score AND a mic. They never ready up! Gah! 8. Dud grenades. I have not had this particular issue in a while, however I can recall several No Man's Land games where I would throw the grenade and never see or hear from it again. It would seemingly vaporize into the air upon release. In most maps this is not a big problem, but in NML it is a huge issue, especially when you had an amazing start of around 2800 points via knifing only... 7. Thunder gun fails. Seriously, why does this even have to happen. It is a waste of ammo, and can seriously risk lives. It makes you feel awful with your jaw wide open as you stare at the Game Over screen seeing the round counter just one round from beating your previous record. Stupid Thunder Gun. Next time I'll stick with M&S. 6. Gersh fails. When you throw a Gersh device and accidentally bump the controller and send the Gersh flying out of the map, not only does it not work as intended, but to rub it in even more you get to hear the demonic laughter of Samantha taunting you for being an idiot. This is why I never revive Richtofen in Moon matches. The only form of payback I can get. 5. Kill stealers. Some people quit instantly, others really do not care either way. I personally get excessively annoyed by them. During the early rounds there are (almost always) 4 windows, and 4 players. Do the math. Some times they decided to go buy the M14 or Olympia right off the wall on round 1 and run around killing everything. Seriously? Is that necessary? Funny thing is though, most of the time by round 3 they are almost always at the bottom of the scoreboard in points. You'd think they'd learn... 4. Mud room. Oh I hate this room with a passion. The few times I have played this map, this room always gets me killed! I will be running from a horde or chasing a monkey and it will decide to spit me right back out in the direction I came. Or occasionally right as I decide to pass through a Napalm will spawn and immediately suicide. Game Over. I hate you mud room. And your little dog too! 3. Flopper fails. Oh PhD, how I love thee. Except, when you decide to ruin my game! Some times you decide to completely fail me and I end up dying on the ground surrounded by Zombies, while you continue singing your little song in the background mocking me... It really is hard to forgive you sometimes.... 2. The astronaut zombie. This guy. Yeah. Him. He is the reason several of my games have gone horribly wrong. I could be all fine and dandy returning to the Bio-dome after doing the Easter Egg, or teleporting, or stopping the excavators and walk right into him. Bye bye perk. Or even worse, when he decides to instantly spawn right on top of me and go into a rapid death swing severely injure me, grab me, and hold me while I get beaten to death by the other undead around me. Not cool. He is so unpredictable. One moment he will be slowly hopping towards you, the next he is freaking out in a corner flailing his arms, and the all of a sudden he will become the Michael Jackson from hell and rapidly moon walk towards you at extreme speeds. There really is no cure for this madness either, as he will always respawn at some point. Never will you ever truly get rest. Next time he moonwalks, play Thriller and realize that Treyarch intended this. This IS the zombie experience at its roots. 1. Obnoxious double hits. Or triple hits, or sometimes even 6 or 7. The point is they are awful. You can be holding off this window on round 3, trying to look impressive when suddenly... "RAH!" *thud* "Damn it!" You are downed by the zombie or two that decided to give you the best high five you have ever seen. Even delayed double hits are awful. With out Jug you are cautious right? You wait for the red mark to fade away before knifing that last time and he hits you once and you quickly learn that you should have waited just a half second longer. Sometimes the game decides to be absolutely horrible about obnoxious double hits and likes to tell you "you just got pwnd!" by smacking you so hard your character bounces off of the ground and twists around as he dies. Thanks. Like I didn't already know what happened. Well Treyarch congrats. You have made my day. Well, I hope you enjoyed it, and I am sure at least one of you can relate. Feel free to share your own, or comment on mine! Until then, happy slaying!

"die glocke" The Kecksburg UFO incident was focused on a UFO shapped quite similar to the Bell.

Please ignore the post above mine. It is simply a troll. He will be dealt with severely. Everyone. Please ignore this and do not comment on it. Treat this intro as if my post and the above have not occurred. The referenced post that was above has since been removed.

There you are Guy with guitar! You do have an account! anyways, this sounds like it could be a really neat place to play. Treyarch could probably try to bring back the same "wow" factor that verruckt and Shi no numa have. I thought that those two maps in particular had the best atmospheres of all of the maps, the mood was just right to keep you on edge even though they were very simple maps you always felt unsafe. In my opinion from Der Riese onward that feeling goes away and everything just seems safer, and more mundane, but something about the Swamp, and Asylum continues to wow me to this day. Treyarch could take these secret destroyed nazi tunnels and make it into an epic worthy of being placed next to the above two in overall atmosphere and gameplay. Side note, I hope they differentiate the start of the match more, Moon did a good job, but Verruckt was amazing at changing up the way the game starts. I would like to see more of those unique traits to the maps, and be able to see them in the beginning, middle, and end.

The one thing I would KILL to have in ZOMBIES (Not literaly)
MegaAfroMan replied to TroubledTurkey's topic in Single Player
I agree, I am mixed with this. I think that they should do it, as an update or DLC with the last of the map packs so all of their maps can be thoroughly enjoyed first, and of course they would need to be special compared to what can be made in the editor, but if it worked like Halo reaches Forge world, and custom game editor, I could see endless possibilities, as what can be made in forge world can be astonishing, the true base maps are more complex than almost any custom map I have seen. -
A thank you from me! 8-)

You know Super you should record an entire 300 game 8-) I need research materials...

261, 271, 295, 306, 308. Unless someone has a new score that is not updated in their sig that is in the following order: Mix, Me, Eye, Chopper, Superhands. AAAnd of course Chuck Norris is at about 6,974,234.33 right now and still going strong. He has been going at it since launch day, even though his kick might deliver close to 100,000 damage and with the potential of 60,000 splash damage he has hit the point where the zombies heath is around oh, 10 to the 62,543 power. He still kills one every 39 minutes or so. Way to go Chuck! Once he finally finishes we will all bow to his glory on the leaderboards!
-
No problem! As far as I know you are the first confirmed "new" user to read it and get some degree of help from it! I can finally rest knowing that all of my work is finally serving its true purpose!
-
Well Mix, just know that I will not go down lightly, and Superhands, Chopper, and Eye will be tough to top. Good luck though! Perhaps this drive will get you higher than anyone else has been on this site! Under me of course 8-)

I do not know what the image was supposed to be, but I think he has accepted the challenge of beating my NML score. This shall be fun. I want you to know MixMaster, that everytime you finally get that one kill higher than me, you will check the leaderboards only to find that in that time, I have raised my score by 5! In all seriousness though, I am really quite honored to even be able to be mentioned in the upper group of NML'ers now. I know I am not top like Chopper, Superhands, or Eye, but this 271 is a great accomplishment for me! And MixMaster just to be clear none of this "rivalry" is personal. I just thought it would be entertaining to mention it to you, as this means now I am above you on YOUR leaderboard too! 8-) Again, as I said before, this shall be fun.

It may not be 300, but I just got a 268! Take that MixMaster! I am not #2 on my friends leaderboards anymore!!! I was not going to play a solo, but I decided to see what would happen, and on round one I got the Ray gun, Gersh Devices, Wave gun (replaced ray, keeping MS) Bowie knife, jug, quick revive, flopper, opened all the way to the biodome, stopped Epsilon from attacking. And then did a victory Flopper dive off of one of the floating launch pads Perhaps I should see where this game goes. EDIT* Game is currently paused at round 20 with zero downs and recently replenished ammo, I also finally got the "ground control" achievement. I want to go back to it, but I think I should sleep...

Chopper, Eye, and Superhands. You three should make a joint effort in creating a super No Mans Land guide. Give detailed descriptions of each strategy, the ideal strategy, and several videos of them in action. There is a lot out there about the start, but after that you assume we know how to most efficiently use the MS ammo. Should I wait for an entire spawn, or shoot when it appears to be fairly large. 1 at a time or 2 at once? I am sure between the three of you, a No Mans Land guide would be pure gold.

Dogs get annoying in that back pool. Occasionally they like to over shoot and fly right in my path during a cut back and they just stand there waiting for me. AND THE OBNOXIOUS DOUBLE HITS! I hate the little zombie/treyarch T-bag where they let you know you were just obnoxiously double hit by forcing your player to hit the ground and do a complete 180. I have come to hate the occasional slow zombie that decides to take a lesson from the tortoise and the hare "slow and steady wins the race." They are annoying more than dangerous, but they distract me.

I am up for voting, but there has to be some sort of review council to determine if some one should be allowed to run. For example, Eye has massive popularity right now but he has actually only been here since August. For all we know he could become the Adolf Hitler of CoDz shortly after coverts departure. Or perhaps Way2Goo, or Doggy runs and all of Reapers or Wunder votes for them respectively because they feel they have to support their leader. One of them could turn into a Mussolini of CoDz. Nothing meant against any of you, just needed examples. Although I kind of am afraid of Eye.... :?
-
Well, lets go give this a shot again! At the very least perhaps I can time my jug getting. Thanks for the help by the way! Your strategy (90 sec) is what made me go from 121 to 219. Hopefully your advice here can shoot me at least past 261 (Mixmasters record) so I can once again be the highest on my friends list!
-
I'll have to try that instead then. I knew that back pool was a good spot, but I feel so unsafe there without jug.
