I really have never heard of it being portrayed that way. Okay so what exactly are the "them all" that richtofen says he now "controls?"
-
What? Does Richtofen himself not state "I can control them all!" upon entering the MPD?
-
I need to take another look at the Earth from the moon. I just do not recall being able to see the Earth behind the crater/cloud. Until then I shall stand down, but I shall be back! Maybe. Hopefully this thread does not get swept off the first page. It is a really good theory by the way, and it offers more options for Treyarch to take with the next zombies additions. However I can not yet see why Maxis would want more zombies for Richtofen to control. Care to elaborate more on that?

Rocket launches are never as simple as point and shoot, you have to realize that both the earth and moon are moving ridiculously faster than we ever will comprehend from our viewpoint here on the planet, you have to adjust accordingly for the change in gravitational forces and probably many other variables that I am not aware of, and It would be false to state that 3 rockets of any thing would not be enough to destroy the earth, one single hundred mile rock slaming into the earth can cause untold damage. There for three rockets filled with explosive fuel would probably be able to do it well enough, or perhaps they were fueled by 115 which seems to be more energetic than anything we have observed thus far. If all else fails, anti-matter. Just to prove your statement false. Anti-matter is the most powerful substance we know of. It collides with normal matter and converts both into pure energy. It literally follows E=MC^2 C being the speed of light, I believe, which is a ridiculously large number, then you square it, then multiply it by the mass, then get resultant energy. Anti matter explosions are so powerful that an anti electron colliding with an electron creates a flash visible to the naked eye. Electrons are unimaginably small. A couple pounds, or perhaps a few tons of this would be more than enough to tear a crater out of the earth.

New breakthrough in SNN location! [UPDATE]

You know, lions do not live in new york, but if you stand close enough to a zoo you can hear them roar. It is possible this is all simply on a different island or perhaps even Japan itself and they simply are ambient noises of non-local creatures. I honestly do not think that Treyarch really even knew about that meteor, and plus as far as we can be aware, no meteors that have EVER fallen have contained element 115, or similar unstable heavy elements. If you look you can probably find records of meteors crashing into every place imaginable. Besides, if the crash was in 1933 how long did it take for the outbreak? What directly caused it? just exposure to the rock? How long did this take? -
If the dust cloud is drifting that slowly from that distance, then would not most of the dust be blown off course from all of our space craft and other debris rapidly rotating the earth? with very little gravity any dust that receives transferred inertia from these objects would be blown away, and solar flares sending out bursts of extremely highly energetic particles towards the earth would also have an effect upon the direction of the cloud. Combined with the pull of the Moon on the cloud too, I just can not really see how this floating cloud of 115 dust would really do anything. And if the cloud was in position to blot out the sun while in space its effects would take a lot longer to dissipate than a large volcanic explosion, the sun would continue to be blocked out for as long as it takes for the cloud to reach earth and for the cloud then to settle in our atmosphere and upon the planets surface. I think the time it would take for the sun to once again shine brightly upon the surface we would already be well on our way towards an ice age. Which again would not help anyone, as a lot of species would die off, including the majority of humans.

New breakthrough in SNN location! [UPDATE]

Thank you murder machine, I do admit I was a little offended by the sarcasm, however it really was nothing bad. It is nice to know that just a little sarcasm is viewed as unnecessary in CoDz, where other forums I probably would have been subject to much worse treatment. Anyways these are African huts. With just a little creativity they could easily be made to resemble Shi no numa's huts, Africa has rainforests, which after periods of extensive rainfall can be rendered to look very similar to swamp like terrain, and more importantly hyena's on the outskirts of grassland areas may be able to make enough noise to be heard from within one of these wet, dense regions. -
I always believed moon took place in the near future. which would be after CotD. If the blast was that far away from Earth (1/3) distance. Far enough to not cause any damage at all, then what exactly was the point? the cloud would be too far away to do anything, any particles attempting to enter the atmosphere would be burned up, radiation would be absorbed and deflected by the upper atmosphere, and if it blotted out the sun for a long enough period it would simply cause an ice age, which may not necessarily destroy Earth, but would drastically reduce the population of Earth to a very small number (population of ALL living creatures) it would probably for the most part ruin human society any how.

the reason we do not see an eclipse every month is actually due to the variations in the moons orbit. It does not travel in a perfect circle, it wobbles up and down a very little bit. It would be a small shadow yes, but definitely observable on the earth. Besides, based upon the size and brightness of the flash, a lot of energy had to have been released. It seems a lot more plausible that at the very least this would have created enormous heat and evaporated the atmosphere killing the majority of the Earths inhabitants if the rockets did not make a direct impact. Remember the flash itself enveloped the entirety of the Earth from our view and left behind what appeared to be a destroyed earth with a large crater in the center. The achievement is called the Big Bang Theory. So it does at least imply a very large explosion. Large explosions have a lot of heat. Heat could cause major damage to the Earth's atmosphere if the rockets blew up there, or close to there.

New breakthrough in SNN location! [UPDATE]

I just think it is a little too selective to be completely discounting the Hyena as unimportant simply because it does not fit with what we have found so far. Well, as far as we know thus far Shangri-la is not really a mystical temple with tons of 115, and there is no Griffin station. those are both out of Germany's (group 935 or whatever) controlled area. So why can we discount the Hyena sound just because it was not in any area in which the Japanese controlled? It just is really selective. and I thought woodland areas referred to things like forests and the like. Jungles and swamps I thought were tropical and humid, where woodland was generally more dry, and usually of milder climate. I could be quite incorrect in that statement, as definitions are usually quite relative in the English language, such as diner. I always use that to refer to the late meal, 5-7pm or so. I recently learned it actually can refer to noon meal, or lunch. 11am-1pm. -
Welcome to CoDz! I hope you come to enjoy it here! You may have played zombies for 2 years, but without CoDz you never really have truly played zombies. Your new zombie slaying life begins now! If you are interested in story line, I recommend going to board index, and then to general zombie discussion, and then digging around in the three sub-forums call zombie training facility, zombie research facility, and zombie asylum. Some really interesting reads are in there. If you are interested in strategy, I recommend reading Ehjookayted's Master Zombies Guide, which can be found right in the General zombie discussion section. If you are looking for zombie slaying teammates I recommend going to board index and checking out the teammate finder section. In there you can look at the many many requests made by some, however it does seem most of the time these requests are never followed up so be wary, or you can look into Team Wunder Waffe's or Team Grim Reapers. Both have threads in the Teammate finder section. If you have any questions just message anyone you see in with the title, ADMIN, DWELLER, CM, or, MODERATOR. Although I am pretty positive that if you messaged any member here with a question they would definitely do their best to answer it. Hope you enjoy your time here!

New breakthrough in SNN location! [UPDATE]

But there is also a "Hyena" soundfile, do those exist in any areas that are also inhabited with kookaburra? -
So do they do anything nowadays? Or are they mainly for show? If so, then why has Ehjookayted (or so he claimed) been promoted to Ps3 Ambassador?
-
If the Sun was behind the moon, and between the Earth and the Sun, you would see the moon's shadow on the earth from space, just like how you see your hands shadow on a wall when you put it in front of a bright light. As far as I can tell there is no such shadow, therefore no eclipse. I am fairly certain we could assume Sam, and then Richtofen, were/are in control of the zombies upon entering the MPD. If it was maxis the whole time then why was Sam shouting at Richtofen during the 100 soul stage of the Moon easter egg? Why did Richtofen state "I can feel the power! I can CONTROL THEM ALL! I can destroy you all!" Upon entering the MPD? (quotes from memory may not be 100% accurate) 115 kills some zombies, but then only in certain amounts, otherwise every single PaP'ed bullet would insta-kill, and the 115 rocks in Kino would have a death zone around them.
-
What can the Ps3 ambassadors do?
-
What exactly is the "pyramid of power" here? I have seen thus far the following authority groups. Founder Admin C.M. Moderator Dweller Ps3 Ambassador UOTM Veteran WWK Donor Survivor and the four skill groups. I believe everything underneath Ps3 ambassador does not have any additional power with their title. Ps3 ambassador itself I am not sure of. And then I do not know what outranks what, and who has what abilities in the Dweller and above groups on my list. Can anyone explain this in more detail or point me to a thread I may have missed?
-
I also am quite curious myself about these things. I am quite curious about all the behind the scenes things that happen here. I hope you find answers Ehjookayted!
-
Wow, I never even knew a dweller board existed... is it one of these? viewforum.php?f=30 viewforum.php?f=31 Most either show an actual section, or say the forum does bit exist, however, these two say I am not authorized to read them. Too bad, I am really quite curious as to what goes on in the mysterious Dwelling...
-
Be patient. I know how you feel though, I always seem to notice that I get the last post on a thread and then it dies and sinks into oblivion and no one ever responds. It happens. Anyways, very interesting theory, I personally do not know how great the biological one is, but the other two are very well fitting. I do not think anyone has really looked into the eye color as being anything other than a cool visual effect until you. But I suppose there has to be a reason for the change and the specific color. Good job.
-
Well you will be asbsolutely spell-bound with moon's end. If you ever need someone to help with an egg or just to play a match or two with feel free to message me here, or on xbox. All of my info is in my signature.
-
Welcome to the site! I am sure you will absolutely fall in love with this forum come the release of the next Treyarch game. All of the new story elements will be analyzed to death, or perhaps un-death, here. Have you done the 3 major easter eggs? They are really cool if you haven't and I highly recommend doing them. What system are you playing on? Xbox 360, Ps3, Wii, or Pc? Regardless, again, welcome to the forums. Feel free to message me if you have questions. I may not be a big shot member around here, but I think I know my way around and am very willing to help you enjoy these forums as much as possible!

Dr. Richtofen: How I learned to stop worrying and <3 thief
MegaAfroMan replied to aegisknight's topic in Five
Interesting, I am assuming this is only for Solo, otherwise every player has to sacrifice one gun. Which in theory could work, but would take quite some time. Killing him with the ray gun or freeze gun would be a lot faster and more efficient in my opinion. -
Well, welcome to the site then. You will find plenty more politeness in store for you. Even the mega legends here who make 50-100+ round runs are very nice people. Do not be afraid to ask anyone questions, although as I mentioned earlier, if it is zombie survival you need help with check out the MZG (master zombies guide by Ehjookayted) first before asking further, most users would probably refer you to that unless it is not covered properly, it is a very, very nice collection of guides on general survival, and specific map survival, and some other stuff too. It really is a great read. A little long though if you aren't prepared.
-
Do not be embarrassed. I would not recommend Shangri-la for much other than the story, and I do not play CotD much myself, however it is a good map. If you ever get the shot and feel like it is worth the purchase I recommend getting them. It is your money though so do not feel pressured. You can have tons of fun with just the Rez map pack, and Ascension is a great map.

A treatise on the first 10 rounds
MegaAfroMan replied to aegisknight's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nope. That does not mean we can not dream and have fun with it. Notice also the comments on knifing in Dead Ops and Perks in Dead ops. It is nice to joke around and have fun sometimes. Everything not referencing Atlantis and Dead Ops is actual information however.
