  2. Like jason said in the comment above me, A few years ago there would've been a sentence similar to that but with the bold words replaced with either PS3 or xbox. PS3 have had to wait 1 month after xbox for the maps since cod4 i think, and yes its only a month and now it would be about 2-4 months for non premium subscribers but PS3 users had near to no input on the microsoft contract effecting there DLC at all. Atleast xbox users have a choice to get them early or not. If you chose not to get elite premium then thats your choice, pointless moaning about it when technically elite premium is better if your planning on buying all 4+ map packs. I dont have elite premium for MW3 because im not wanting the DLC, but for blops2 i will get it. Nowadays if you want DLC your best option is elite premium. Im prepared to pay £35 extra for DLC instead of paying around £45 for all 4 map packs seperately. And yes, Elite premium is BS. But like the Microsoft contract, theres nothing we can do about it. And someone has just posted something while im writing this, apologies if its the same :lol:
  3. PM9! This gun is amazing when used properly.. PM9 w/ Rapid fire+ Range (Swap rapid fire for ext mags when you unlock it) MP9 as secondary Sleight of hand Pro Blast shield Pro Steady aim Pro Semtex Flash 3)UAV 6)Precision Airstrike 9)Strafe run. This class is great on ground war, believe it or not the strafe run+Precision airstrike will nearly always give you a triple/multi if used well with the UAV. Hip fire only, ADS's will only make more bullets miss. Kick is pointless because your not ADS. Swap rapid fire for ext mags when you can because rapid fire burns through the clip extremely fast making it useless when theres 2+ enemys. MP9 as a reliable secondary that you can switch too quickly with SoH pro, you will run out of ammo on the PM9 quick. I would use specialist if i was using this on 6v6 modes. However i'd recommend it on Ground war. You will be suprised at how much range/accuracy it has when you hipfire. Don't expect it to work if your running through open areas, stay inside and in close quarters as you have nothing to tackle air support or nothing to kill at long range. I also like the MK14+Type95. If you have a rapid firecontroller these can be really good. My controllers not rapid fire, it was only £10 from GAME and happened to have a rapid fire button on :lol:
  4. (this might have already been suggested, I haven't read all the replys) These are good ideas however I think they should only turn like this if you down near a perk machine. Doing trains on shangri la near jug/MPL with this mechanic would make it much harder
  5. I think custom maps should stay as they are to some extent. Make them on pc however you can download them on ps3/Xbox

  7. I downloaded WaW for my laptop and it is working fine and im downloading the patches now, i was watching one of yoteslayas videos which explained how to use custom maps. It said you must put custom maps in this folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\mods i put that into the folder search bar and it says 'Windows cannot find the file C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\mods check the spelling and try again'. I replaces the 'User' with what i thought was my username. Is the username what you use to log onto your laptop with? Any help?
  8. This was probably already discussed when waw was released but i've just found it. I was downloading waw on the PC and all of the multiplayer maps were coming up in the 'download box' like it would say worldatwar/english/mp_roundhouse and it went through a few of the MP maps and then it said worldatwar/english/mp_shrine, worldatwar/english/mp_suburban and then a few more of the released maps came after them. Anyone know what these were?
  9. I got my old pc wiped and updated to windows 7 so i can play cod5 custom zombies, but it will just not work. Its a compaq PC and had windows XP on when i bought it but i updated it to windows 7. I have installed/uninstalled about 4 times now and none have been successful. When i install it it will take me onto the menu and whenever i go to click on Solo or multiplayer the screen goes black as if it were going to load however it just stays black. The only way i can get rid of the black is press ctrl alt delete then launch a task manager, or press the windows button on the keyboard. I have downloaded directX however i have NONE of the cod5 patches. How can i get cod5 to work!? Any help? I don't realy want to buy a new PC and the cheapest one i can find is £270 from argos . Would this game run on my laptop? I have a windows 7 Acer laptop with 136GB available, which is about 30GB more than what my computer has left. I've never been a PC gamer so i don't know much, but which is my best option? Keep trying the game until i rip my eyes out? Run it on my laptop or ring customer support or something like that. Thanks :D
  10. One thing that bugs me most is the channel name has a space in it, i quickly went on my youtube homepage and NO channel in the suggested videos or in the subscription box had a space in it... If it is from treyarch i think the title of the video and the description will mean something.
  11. On the 15'th of april it is the 100'th anniversary of the crash of the British/irish ship RMS titanic. With the new british ITV drama 'Titanic' on sundays and the release of Titanic in 3D on april 3'rd/4th i thought the titanic would be a great map for treyarch next year. The map titanic would be released in april (obviously, because thats when it sank) the crew would start on the already half sunk titanic, snapped in half with lights blinking and flickering, zombies would clime up from the sea (like on cotd), and the iceberg that the Titanic crashed into would be filled with 115. The crew would spawn on the top of the titanic and gradually make there way into the wreckage were they would find power, perks and other things. The easter egg would be for them to time travel to before the titanic sunk, giving them unlimited ammo and unlimited double points, permanent perks (will explain why later). They would teleport there and hear voices of captains saying ''Iceberg! Icerbeg!'' etc, and when the titanic crash's they will be teleported back. After the easter egg is complete, there will be a buyable ending for 1541912 points (1 million five hundred and fourty one thousand nine hundred and twelve, origionally when i read the number i was thinking 154 million!? what?!) If you didn't know the titanic sunk on the 15/04/1912 (in british layout of dates) which explains the points for the buyable ending. The map will have lots of small corridors and a big dining room to train in. When they have enough points, the crew would teleport back to the 'just crashed' titanic and escape on a lifeboat. The easter egg song would obviously be, Celine dion my heart will go on (obviously another zombie like song made by elena siegman/kevin sherwood) aswell as my heart will go on. Boss zombie: zombie ship captain with electricity running through him He will spawn at the top of the ship and try to get back to the control room and turn the power off causing the players to loose all there perks. Killing the captain will grant the player a max ammo and a free perk. I think this would be a great map for the april content drop and a great map in general. Thanks :)

  13. About a week ago i posted a thread about how vehicles could be included in BO2 and be balanced, this is just basically a follow up. Today i was playing BF3 on Kharg island, that map is absolutely huge! It would be great if maps like these were in CoD, with boats/jets/heli's/jeeps/tanks on them. Say there would be 3 'Huge' maps on the disk and maybe 1 released within DLC? I don't know about you but these maps might be slow but there fun, since CoD has killstreaks it would make the map faster so that is a good thing! People might think this would just be copying BF3 if they did this, but cod multiplayer needs new features! Both teams would spawn on the edge of the maps near the water, away from the action. There would be a few jeeps/humvees there. Tanks would be located closer to the 'action' and jets would be located on boats out at sea. These 'Huge' maps wouldn't be the only maps with vehicles in, these would be the ones with every vehicle in. 'Big' maps like Hazard, cliffside, Seelow, Bakaara would also have vehicles in. Vehicles would be included in 'Big' and 'Huge' maps because the gameplay on those maps are really slow which makes waiting for someone to get a killstreak even slower, the vehicles would speed them up.

  15. ahaha thanks I think call of duty multiplayer needs new features because were more or less getting the same thing every year (multiplayer wise). I think treyarch should implement some features from BF3 but without completely copying them, the features in that game are great however i have utterly no idea on how it works, i think its extremely confusing . Myself i like the vehicles the best in both BF and WaW, i've never actually tried out a bf3 jet (couldn't say i knew how to access one never mind use one if im honest ) but from what i've seen they look fun and i think cod should get some new fun features, not just having players focused on getting the highest streak possible completely ignoring the objective.

  17. You should be able to switch exploding body parts/gore on and off to satisfy some players. However some people go to war because these games influence them, this might sound offensive but if people are stupid enough to believe that going into real war means your going to keep all your bones/limbs and think you'll recover from an explosion both mentally and physically within seconds is ludicrous. Obviously the game cant make it so if you get shot you won't make a full recovery seconds after the damage is dealt because that would make games incredibly slow and no fun at all. However the gore aspect brings some reality to the game and abit of laughter . Like i mentioned in a post somewere above, if grenades are as to be ridiculously weak as in MW3, atleast make them so if legs/arms get blown of it effects there movement/gameplay until they respawn. Another thing about explosions id like to mention (a little bit of topic but i've been wanting to say this for a while) In BO a valkyrie rocket explosion, as it might do more damage it looked the same/sounded the same as a grenade explosion, the same as gunship rockets. I dont think this is right, i think different types of explosions should vary in damage, appearance and sound. The Valkyrie rockets explosion should've been the same as the predators from MW3 (maybe abit smaller), and the gunship rockets should've been like the 2'nd bomb from the AC-130 (don't know what its called).The motars should've been like the artillery from WaW but abit stronger.
  18. One of the many problems i have with MW3 is like yours, theres no high spots. On black ops you could go up the rocket launching stair thing on launch, you could climb up the tower on silo and go on that big rock on jungle. There is no high spots in MW3 like these (none that i know of) probably because of killstreaks like the ah-6 overwatch and other ones like that, however i think it takes the fun out of the maps sometimes. Treyarch, please bring back high spots even if it means ditching the ah-6 overwatch killstreak :lol:

  20. WaW was rated a 15 I think, now if any 15 year old cant handle some gore then I don't think they should be playing... And if you get anyone younger complaining, well they should've taken notice of the age rating.
  21. I hate it when people hate on treyarch because tbh there games are always different, I would say my favourite cod varies. If I'm playing WaW it's because I'm bored of black ops and if I'm playing black ops then I'm bored of MW3 (I sort of 'cycle' between those games). However if I play mw2 I get bored to quickly because it's like mw3. Oh and on the subject of kids, I always seem to be in a zOmbie lobby with 2 bossy 12 year olds from London, why oh why :lol:
  22. In WaW, as you probably know you could use tanks in some of the maps. In a recent job description for Activision it mentioned work to do with vehicles in treyarch's FPS games, now it wasn't talking about killstreaks because they were mentioned aswell in the description but not with vehicles. In WaW you either loved or hated the tanks, personally i loved them and hope they return in BO2 along with some other vehicles... I think that on big open maps, tanks/humvees/jets/helicopters/boats should be available to use. This might seem overpowered however i have some ideas on how to make them balanced. Just a side note, in BO there was an equipment section, i think all lock on launchers with 2 rockets in them should be a equipment like the STRELA and unlocked at a level close to prestige, other rocket launchers like the LAW, RPG as normal rocket launcher secondaries. Now here is how i would balance vehicles: Air vehicles Air vehicles would run out of fuel gradually, the more you fly the more you use. One player will drive the air vehicle and control the rocket turret, and the other will control the machine gun. Players in the air vehicles can only earn specialist/support killstreaks from kills they get inside the air vehicle. They have 1 set of flares which have to be manually deployed by the player (like bf3). SAM turrets can destroy these aswell. Enemy players will get 1 point towards there pointstreak for destroying the vehicle, and an extra 1,2 depending on how many players are in the vehicle. Enemy ASSAULT killstreaks that are controlled not by the player like the attack helicopter will make there first priority to destroy ANY enemy non killstreak air vehicle making them extremely useless against enemy killstreak vehicles. Jets would not fly as fast as Jets in BF3, Helicopters would fly roughly the same speed as the gunship from black ops. Non killstreak air vehicles can only destroy other non killstreak vehicles. Ground vehicles. As well as air vehicles, ground vehicles (tanks humvees) would slowly decrease in fuel. Like in WaW it takes 1 person to drive and use the rocket turret, and one person to use the MG. The tanks take 4 rockets from a launcher to destroy. Unlike air vehicles, Enemy killstreaks will not attempt to destroy tanks, and the tanks can not destroy them. Humvees however are much different, they have a much higher speed and much less health, the person that drives it will be the gunner of the MG aswell, as there will be no rocket turrets on these. Humvees have more fuel than tanks. VEHICLE PERKS You will have 2 tiers of vehicle perks, Ground and Air. Each will be unlocked at a certain level (im assuming prestige will be lvl 50 like bo) Ground Lead foot [increased tank/humvee speed] (lvl 20) Ordnance training [Makes reloading the rockets on tanks and MG's on humvees+tanks quicker] (lvl 10) Fuel capacity [More fuel in the vehicle, making it last 25% longer providing not destroyed] (lvl 40) Greased bearings [Turret rotates quicker] (default) Explosive deflector [Places a trophy system on the vehicle, deflecting a max of 2 rockets](lvl 45) Magic wrench [Repair broken vehicles, however more wont spawn until there all gone] (lvl 39) Bullet proof structure [immune to bullets, the person controlling the MG is safe from gunfire when not in cover.] [lvl 18] Air Water cooler [Decreased turret overheat] (Default) Fuel capacity [more fuel in vehicle, making it last 25% longer providing not destroyed] (Lvl 40) Safe landing [Ability parachute out of the vehicle if under attack, however can still be killed by the explosion of the vehicle if close enough. (Lvl 25) Bullet proof structure [immune to bullets] (lvl 10) Heat seaker [Ability to lock on to other enemy air support/vehicles] [lvl 45] Aerodynamic [Faster movement, ability to evade enemy missiles if no flares left] [lvl 35] Flares x2 [1 extra flare] [lvl 50] You can't upgrade these perks to pro. Where will the vehicles be found? Ground vehicles(Tanks/Humvees): These vehicles will be found on medium sized maps with large roadways for the tanks to go through like in WaW, at the start of a game 1 ground vehicle will be placed in each spawns (could be tank or humvee) then when both are destroyed another two will spawn shortly after. If vehicles are fixed with the Magic wrench perk, only one vehicle will spawn if that one is running. Air vehicles: Air vehicles will be placed on large open maps (easier to use and to speed up gameplay) there will be a hanger with either a jet in or a helicopter outside of at both main spawns in the map Instead of jets needing a runway to take of they will just slowly rise off the ground and then fly like a proper jet (if that is possible, i know you can do it on GTA san andreas but dont know if it is practical in real life ) After both are destroyed another two will spawn shortly after. Additional information Both ground/air vehicles can not capture flags. Killstreaks controlled by the enemy (AC-130, gunship, reaper) can attack both ground and air vehicles. If a air/ground vehicle is in the radius of an airstrike/napalm strike there health will be significantly lowered if there not destroyed. If Tanks are on the map when the match starts, when there destroyed the next set of vehicles will most likely be Humvees. If Jets are on the map when the match starts, when there destroyed the next set of vehicles will most likely be Helicopters. When the vehicle runs out of fuel it will catch fire and the players screen will go red with a 7 second timer on giving them time to evacuate the vehicle, after the 7 seconds is up the vehicle will explode which will result in killing the player if they are inside the vehicle or near it. This will prevent sitting in a tank not doing anything on game modes like search. Ground vehicles can run over enemy players. Boats would only be on water (obviously), you cant get perks for them and one person controlls the boat while the other fires the MG. Tank Fuel time= 2 mins (With FC= 2min 30 Jet fuel time= 2 mins (With FC= 2min 30 Helicopter fuel time= 3 mins (With FC= 4min 25 Jeep/Humee fuel time= 3 mins (With FC= 4min 25) Boat fuel time= 3 mins. Fuel capacity would increase these by 25% Boats would just be used for ways to get around the map, the MG for safety.

  24. How do you think sniping should be in BO2? Im playing WaW and actually enjoying sniping. Black ops sniping was good if you were actually going to snipe (sit in a corner+hardscope) but it didn't work for quickscoping. In MW3 i think quickscoping is too easy, numerous times have i been killed in a gun fight were i've had a shotgun/smg at close range by quickscopers. WaW sniping for me is great, you can choose to have a scope or not, and the can be used in close quarters but not as much as in MW3. What do you think? :)
