Right at the end, when they start going down the elevator the coice sounds more like Richtofen, then at the end of the trailer when they come out of the elevator then all die. Richtofen is the one talking to him.

Only problem I can think of is how OP they'd have to make the weapon. Too underpowered, and it's going to be useless. To OP, and everyone will try and whore it. They'd have to make it better than the Ballistic Knife (as it has no ranged attack on it) but worse than the Bowie Knife (as that costs 3000 points, not 950). And you'd have to be able to pack-a-punch it too, perhaps knifing a zombie has the possiblity to create a linked chain of electrified deaths or something? Or of course just make it more powerful or swing faster.
-
True, though that perk isn't online anymore and is now only used on zombies, seeing as it hasn't been in the game since BO1 and besides that, my point was that when a player dies in Search, they don't come back till the next round/ game. Good thought, however seeing as in the Die Rise cutscene it's shown that the low, grumbling voice Samuel is hearing was just Richtofen changing his voice like Samantha did before. It could be that the zombie-like voices in his head are this new entity, but according to the CoD wiki it's Samule himself who is making these zombie noises, which I don't believe.

No, the gampleay is the way it because until Shi-No Numa (and arguably Veruckt although we only find out the story stuff about that in BO1) there was no story to zombies, it was just survive. Reviving was because when players go down, they don't want it to be the end of their game like Search and Destroy or something, they want to carry on. Also, Treyarch tried but were unable to make it so that dead players come back as zombies but it was too awkward for them to do. I have heard people suggest the rounds represent days, which is a fairly valid point, however the rounds are only really there because it makes it more interesting than just throwing zombies at you constantly, plus it's more competitve trying to beat your friends or other peoples records. When they started to form a story and in Ascension when they decided to really expand on that story further with the Kassimir Mechanism easter egg, they couldn't just change the gameplay of zombies to fit their new criteria- the gameplay is what made it so popular to begin with. They had to maintain the gameplay methods but make them non-canon so they could build a story up around the events that unfold throughout the map.

I like your theory on Samuel, perhaps ingesting the 115 opens his mind to allow Richtofen to take control? Would certainately explain why he is the only one Richtofen can communicate with if he's the only one to have a 115 over-exposure. However, I disagree with your theory on the opening cutscene. Too much story info there for me to believe it's just for respawning, and besides the respawning is just for gameplay reasons- no character in the story dies and respwans. You have to remember the rounds etc. are only there for gameplay reasons, as without them it's almost story-like. If all characters died in every map, there wouldn't be a story at all! And I also love debating away about this stuff!

Not a bad idea actually, so as if everytime we start a game of zombies it could be Richtofen/ Samantha (in BO1 and Nuketown Zombies) spawning us in again? Interesting for sure... Also, I am on my file share checking something out as I was playing Die Rise solo and (using the minions) got all 6 perks, but at the end of the game I went down in a place I could see Samuel and could have swore he had Blue Eyes. I want to confirm this then see if it's the same for other characters. EDIT: Sorry for the quick edit, but my video got to the point I needed right as I posted this. Samuel doesn't have blue eyes when he's down in Who's Who. I was trying to find some evidence supporting my theory on him being infected and slowly becoming a zombie. Anyway, carry on discussing this topic!

Maybe yeah, but I also believe that perhaps if the opening cutscene was following Maxis's easter egg, it could mean that: A) Russman's fate may be inevitable (I don't want to start another 'Marlton died' or 'Takeo died' thing here, I already regret that enough. All i'm saying is their is more evidence to suggest this could happening. It explains why Richtofen wanted them to start anew- in part because they all died but also because they weren't following him. My only problem with point B (and i'll say this now before someone else does) is that if Richtofen rewinded time in-part to stop them helping Maxis, why would he not do it again and also why didn't he do it on TranZit (if Maxis was helped on TranZit)? You could say that, up to Russman's death, Richtofen was going to do this anyway but I don't know for sure about that... Anyone else got any thoughts on any of this?

...and after the Die Rise trailer I really don't want to start any kind of argument or anything of the sort(Trust me I learnt from my mistakes) but I have to admit, his EE really interests me. For those that haven't seen it i'll post the link below, but there is one part where Stuhlinger needs to get the Ballistic Knife and go to the upside down part of the map (where you do all the killing) and then allow Russman to go down. This completes the 'blood sacrifice'. This is what intrigus me the most- it can ONLY be Stuhlinger that gets the Ballistic Knife and it can ONLY be Russman that goes down. I won't make any theories or speculations here, although I will add that this matches up to the opening cutscene for the map (most of this is pointed out in the video as well. What are your guys thoughts? Could it be that actually up until they got in the elevator in the cutscene they were doing it all right? Richtofen only restarts it when they come out at the bottom and get swarmed remember. Link:

Could someone get together as a group (without TranZit easter egg being done) and try to do this easter egg? Because I think this needs to be done. I don't have the Easter Egg done for TranZit yet so maybe I could help if needs be?
-
Nice job Liam, I subscribed as well by the way! Also, once the Maxis side has been completed, you should check and see if you can do that or if your forced to the Richtofen side now (like in TranZit, where you could do both sides of the EE). Also, does the dragon's lights and fireworks stay on in every game? I would have guessed so.
-
Okay, three things to add to this: 1) If these people don't want to release the video, then they don't deserve credit. I'm sorry, but if I completed any EE first I would make sure everyone knew about it. I wouldn't do what they did with CoTD- clearly they weren't clear they discovered it first, and didn't defend themselves if NGT did take all the credit. 2) On the topic of NGT, how are they frauds? If it wasn't for them collecting a database of zombies together we wouldn't know half the stuff we know now. 3) If these guys tweet something else or do whatever else in Spanish, add it on here or PM me because I speak Spanish so I can translate- better than using Google Translate, that's almost never right.

I personally think it makes logical sense, and will likely be the theory I follow unless/ until proven otherwise. He does fit most of the symptoms, so it's not a bad theory to follow either.

Is Colorado, Wyoming anywhere near Hanford? Because if so, then all those (in my opinion) stupid theories about the alternate bus routa may have actually been right!
-
Actually, I may have just made a discovery. In the link below is a video that shows the radio message from the head of the CDC (who's name I can't remember but is Gary something I believe). He warns people of the symptoms of people who have been infected, and this is where the interesting thing lies. He warns that people who have extreme paranoia or a secret agenda of their own are likely infected. Now who do we know who has both these symptoms? Samuel Stuhlinger. Think about it- in part because of his conspiracy theorist days, but also in part because of the end of the world scenario, Sammy is an EXTREMELY paranoid person. However, we also know that he is hearing the 'German guy' (Richtofen of course) in his head, and that this voice is telling him he has to do something. This could mean Stuhlinger has entered the zombification stage, and once the task is complete then his zombification will also be complete. If this is true, then does that mean that every zombie was set a similar task by the demonic announcer before teir zombification was complete? This could have been something like travel to here, so they would be there when the survivors arrive amd Richtofen/ Samantha (whoever the demonic announcer is at the time) has an army ready? We also have another person who suffered from the voices, Yuri from Ascension. With Yuri however, it was Samantha that controlled him confirming that she too had this power. If any of the above theory is true (I do realise it seems a little far-fetched) then it could have massive implications in the zombies story and explain a lot of loose ends.

I'm just going to jump straight into this: The NAVcard table can be created again just like on TranZit, and also like TranZit it is placed under/near a tower. If you notice just above the table on Die Rise, a communications tower seems to be right above it, on the level that you have to use the crashed walkway next to the dragon to access. This could mean that the new map has a 'powerr up the tower' easter egg, similar to TranZit. I hope not, but we'll find out soon i'm sure!

Perhaps the 115 the O4 were exposed too (including Richtofen who worked with a lot of 115) made them immune to the disease, as it sees although you can become infected from simple overexposure- perhaps a little Walking Dead style, whereas everyone is infected. This could mean the new crew are also infected, and they are definately at least worried (I can remember Marlton saying in one quote something like "If i'm infected now, i'll know who to blame!" after killing a zombie that hit him)which could also have huge ripples on other survivors from previous maps. I am of course talking about the celebrities from CoTD and the 'Five'survivors, which coudl explain they're fates as they were all exposed to 115 and therefore likely became zombified shortly after. Jsut a thought :)

Going back to the comment made earlier about the Illuminati, maybe Richtofen is trying to contact Illuminati survivors through Samuel? As for this post, Stuhlingers background is starting to intrege me more and more. I thought Marlton would be the one hiding the secrets, but this doesn't seem to be the case (at least not yet). Also, I made a post about this too, which i'll just paste here because it's easier: So, as many of you are aware of the opening cutscene for Die Rise and what its about, i'll just cut straight to the chase (i'll paste the link at the bottom for those that don't know). In the cutscene, Sammy says "No, you can't tell them about the flesh! They'd kill me if they knew..." So what does this mean? Well, to me it seems likely that Sammy is hiding something pretty big from the others and only Richtofen knows what it is, and he's using it to blackmail him. What are your thoughts guys? What do you guys think?

I would just like to ask when has it ever been obvious that Richtofen rewound time in Green Run? We never see any evidence of this and the new 4 don't seem to have deja vu at any point.

CoDz official Die Rise general feedback and first impression

^This. -
I'm thinking maybe we'll be treated with another cutscene, something like the Die Rise opening or maybe even one more like the CoTD opening (which I think sucks in comparison but whatever). What do you guys think? Also, Slappamedo they will eventually release Nuketown Zombies to everyone, like the classic WaW maps on BO1.

Interesting... Though I must point out that you don't lose the headshot bonus nor the steel barriers every game. You lose the headshot bonus if you get too many kills in a row (supposedly 20, but I think it can be less) that aren't headshots, and you lose the steel barriers bonus if you don't repair at least one barrier every wave.

Well as for how he teleported them there like that, I believe that seeing as he was a master of teleportation before entering the aether, I believe he has took that gift with him and perfected it to allow him to teleport anyone anywhere. This could have massive implications in future maps, however I also believe that this is what he used to bring them back- kind of like they were in the aether, dead, and he teleported them back in time (which we know he can do from Black Ops 1) to the point they first arrived there. Then, similar to how Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai began to regain their memory, these new characters retain some memory of their lif before, hence the deja vu. Thoughts? Also, i'm beginning to think the O4 are dead, seeing as there is thus far no info on their whereabouts and Richtofen seemed saddened in TranZit when mentioning them. However, if my teleportation theory above is true, Richtofen could teleport them off the Moon and back to Earth to complete another easter egg for him. Who knows, maybe this is the easter egg for this map? I guess we'll soon find out, but I think Die Rise is going to be an important map for the story.
-
This is pretty much my thoughts, except I believe that Richtofen instead rewinded time to around the moment the four first arrived there, thus meaning he can keep doing this until his intentions are met.

Just come up with a new theory: As you may know, the new easter egg song was released and again features Clark, not Elena. My theory is that maybe Clark will be the singer for this group of survivors and Elena for the original crew. This makes sense as on Black Ops 1 and World At War only the maps with the original 4 (and Veruckt, which does have Dempsey) Elena siegman only has songs on the map with them in. What are your thoughts guys?
