That's simple. Even though you may have helped Maxis, he still needs your help and so would teleport you to the next location to assist him there.
-
This is interesting. Although I too believe that Brutus is likely just the 'brute' of a zombie who charges the players, the flaming dog in the trailer (i'm sorry if you do, but I don't personally regard it as a Hellhound, at least not in the way we know then) still hasn't been discussed, and i presume we'll be left to our own devices to figure it out.
-
Oh right sorry then haha, was going to say I hadn't copied anything. This is a good point, I do believe it is most likely that the sound was just a placeholder, especially as the map is set before even Group 935 had been established which intrigues me as well and makes me think that this is perhaps the first zombie outbreak that occured in history.

The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
MNM1995 replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
I just want to say some things: No, the developers never said in the Behind the Scenes for Mob of The Dead that the Blundergat was the new WW, they just said it was a new weaponry. No, I don't think it's possible to make a WW without 115 as I don't think you can fire air and liquified messes out onto the floor without something special. Both maps have 115 meteorites in them, thus proving that the N4 could get a hold of 115. And finally yes, the Blundergat is a piece of Civil War weaponry the Warden collected as he was an avid collector of these things (I can presume), so I severely doubt this is the WW because there's no evidence of 115 being used and I doubt there would have been 115-induced weapons during the Civil War. -
I can assure you, I copied this from no-one. I didn't check to see if someone had already posted something similar and I just wanted to get my ideas down fast before I forgot them so sorry if any of them are the same/similar. I noticed that too, at first I thought that it was just a character that looked extremely similar but after further examination it does indeed seem to simply be Kravchenko (who I thoroughly doubt will appear in this map). So yes, I also believe it is likely just a placeholder but there is some (albeit minute) evidence that it could perhaps be Samantha, however I doubt it and hope not too as I want the story to advance further than that.
-
Hmmm... Good points about the Teddy Bear. I too believe that if Samantha is in control, then it would be just after the events on Moon occurred which gave her control in the first place. Also true about Amy Lee, she does sound somewhat similar to the girl at the end, and if they stick to CoTD's style of a guest celebrity group/ singer doing the Music Easter Egg then it could very well be true. But deep down i'd rather it was Elena, she is kind of part of Zombies and I do hope we hear from her again before the end of BO2 zombies.

Now, as i'm sure you are all aware, the zombies in Mob of The Dead all have Red Eyes- a first for CoD zombies. Now, a lot of theories have been posted abput this and I have (of course) come up with my own, and some logical support to back it up. At first, I was convinced that we would definately have a new announcer, however I noticed yesterday whilst watching the Behind The Scenes trailer for Mob of The Dead (again), I think this isn't the case. At one point in the trailer (sorry can't remember the minute), we see the players showing us what the fan trap does (side note: it looks cool) before picking up a Max Ammo. Listen closely at that point- you can just about hear Samantha saying her 'Max Ammo' line before someone starts talking over the game again. Now at first I thought that this was perhaps a placeholder voice, so we didn't find out who it was. But actually, I think I may have found some facts that could show us it is Samantha in charge. Firstly, at the beginning of the trailer during the panning shots of Alcatraz, we can hear Samantha's little girl laugh that we have all become familiar with. Could this be Treyarch giving us clues? Also, remember in the original trailer there was a frame that contained a picture of a Teddy Bear lying on a cell room floor. Again, could the Teddy Bear be hints coming from Treyarch? Finally, and this one doesn't really have evidence yet but is still a valid point to make if true, it has been rumoured that the girl singing at the end of the trailer is none other than Elena Siegman, and she will (finally in my opinion) make her return. Now, although there's no proof of this, I did in a previous topic (Link:http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=28104) try to link the singer to the announcer. For example, in Kino, Ascension, Shangri-La and Moon Samantha's in charge and we play as the original characters, and in each map Elena Siegman is the singer. In BO2, Richtofen is in charge and we play as the N4, and Clark S. Nova appears to be the singer. I concluded that this could mean the announcer chooses the singer, and although there are some flaws in this (i.e. the marines in Veruckt also get Elena) I do believe this could be true. So, if Treyarch do confirm that Elena is making a return it could mean that Samantha is in charge once more. However, like everyone else, we'll just have to wait a week. Let me know what you guys think about this and feel free to tear my theory apart/ completely agree with it if you can.

The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
MNM1995 replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
Fair enough Naitrax, but I don't think it is seeing as they never revealed the WW before in BO2 maps, but still if it is then a WW shotgun would be cool, I know the community has wanted it for a while. -
The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
MNM1995 replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
I don't think it's the wonder weapon is it? Have Treyarch said it is? -
As painful as it sounds, the O4 story has ended. They are no linger needed by Richtofen or Maxis, which is why Treyarch moved on with these new characters. I doubt either of them will be trying to rescue them now, and I think they have been left for themselves. On topic though, I really hope it's not another bloody tower easter egg. I'm sure they can take one break, right? I personally see this map as being a 'prequel' of sorts to the back story of Group 935. Perhaps moments like this (the dead randomly come back to life) begin happening, intriguing a young Doctor Maxis who begins studying them. Just my thought on this.

I really doubt Samantha's Teddy Bear is going to be the new controller of the zombies... I do however believe it will be an entirely new character, one that we don't know yet... The blank portrait from Kino anyone? Supposedly, there's a Samantha quote in Moon where she warns Richtofen there's something far worse than him in the Aether. This could mean that the blank portrait was placed there by Samantha as a warning to the others? I don't know, but I do know that whatever this 'red eyes' thing means will be explianed in 2 weeks... One final thing, remember in the trailer that guy (don't know his name, sorry) said that they wante sto take the story in a new direction- perhaps this map will be a non-canon event, a 'just-for-fun' thing or maybe even an alternate universe and reality where the apocalypse ends there? Who knows, it's going to be ace though.
-
I would like to say something as well: I have read a lot of people (not neccesarily on here but elsewhere, Youtube comments and what not) that this is actually a film set and the celebrities are filming a new movie, and the map takes place in 2025. I'm sure some of you have seen these people too and I have to ask- where's the proof?! I mean for starters, the celebrities all use mobster names in the map, yet if this was a flim set gone wrong like Call of The Dead why wouldn't they just us their normal names? Also that idea's been done before and Treyarch zombies team hate reusing ideas so I doubt that's going to happen. I understand it explains the existence of 2025 era weapons but i'm sure that will be explained to us in game. Unless someone has some proof that this is the case, I really don't believe this at all and this was likely just someone's theory that everyone has taken as true.

Bootlegged Perks? ( Are the perk beverages canon?)
MNM1995 replied to Mattzs's topic in Mob of the Dead
Or maybe the Mobsters bootlegged drinks act as perks for this map? Explains the glow emmiting from random cabinets throughout the trailer. -
Only problem with this entire thing is it's already been said by Treyarch this occurs in the Prohibition era, which was between 1920 and 1933, therefore it's too early to involve Richtofen in control and his conflict with Maxis. I don't understand why the future weapons are there, perhaps just for gameplay reasons- I don't know. What I do know is that this will be epic and we'll find out in 12 days.

Official Perk-A-Cola info for newcomers
MNM1995 replied to MNM1995's topic in General Zombies Discussion
So, as i'm sure many of you are aware by now, Mob of the Dead was officially announced today with a trailer from Treyarch and looks EPIC. I'll be sure to update this page with any new Perk-A-Cola's that come out and maybe even include some features on this new 'purgatory' system as it is likely to be an aid to players too like the Perks? -
Right, I haven't been on here for a while but if you remember i'm quite a theorist so here goes: I believe this map will be the real revelation behind the controller of the zombies. Of course, as already mentioned, the zombies have red eyes and there era it's set in (1920-1933, how long Prohibition lasted in America) is before Group 935 discovered the zombies and before they were set-up, supportin my theory that this is at least a different announcer, but is it the original?... As I just read, we now go to 'purgatory' when we die, which I imagine is a different part of the map where I imagine we have to find a way out. Let's be honest guys, I think 'purgatory' is probably the Aether. I mean, we know lost souls go there and one description I read describes the four as "lost souls", again supporting my theory. Finally, on the topic of hellhounds, whilst I think they would be perfect for this map and really add to the atmosphere, due to the era and years and the fact Samantha wouldn't even have been born yet let alone allow Maxis to get his hands on Fluffy amd create the first hellhound, I really doubt they will be in this map, unless Maxis didn't create the first Hellhound?... So in conclusion, we may discover the true leader of the zombies (voice in Richtofen's head?), we'll hopefully finally visit the Aether, and we may discover about another group who worked on 115 before Group 935 (Just thought of that, explains the Hellhounds and the zombies?). Sorry if any of these theories clash woth theories already put out by you guys, I haven't read this thread yet as it's 10:00pm here and I am suprisingly tired and wanted to get these ideas down before I fell asleep. Sorry for any spelling mistakes too.

To be fair though, I don't think 'Duple Tap Root Beer' would have fit in the song.
-
Okay, so this isn't really related to any theories or anything I just lsaw this video on one of my subscribed channels on Youtube and thought it was very funny and wanted to show a community that would appreciate it. http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=g-high-rec&v=N9dw7Ys3XwE Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! It's quite catchy too.

Great find mate, really interesting to see where Treyarch is going with this. I think this is a pretty viable option, seeing as we have been to America but Die Rise takes place in Shanghai, China and Takeo is Japanese. Still, it's possible. But honestly, I think this could be the mysterious blank portrait from Kino Der Toten- he seems to have a similar outline to the portrait there and it could very well be him. It would be interesting seeing as we never truly found out who he was- could it be the true leader of the zombies? Meh, who knows, just a thought though. Also, could someone link a picture of the blank photo for me? I'm on my iPhone amd I have no clue how to do it. Thanks :)

This is what CoDz is all about. Good to see you guys getting along. Exactly, I just don't see the point in arguing over something no-one's going to change their mind on.

The Real Reason Richtofen Talks To Samuel
MNM1995 replied to Taklok's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is what I argued on the other post, that Richtofen has to be the voice from the start as we know not of any other voices present in Samuel's head at the moment. However, that's off topic- Yes Taklok, I agree with you that Richtofen may posess some control over Samuel but I think that's in the form of being able to enter his head. As has already been pointed put, Richtofen seemingly tried to enter all the other characters heads but to no prevail until he stumbled across the paranoid, flesh-eating person that is Samuel. Also, to bagel, I also partially agree with you except that I believe Richtofen puts on the voice either because of his power gain from helping him in TranZit or to make him seem more powerful to Samuel (to ensure he doesn't decide to just ignore him because he's to weak) if Maxis is helped instead. -
Fair enough mate, as long as we've put it all behind us we can get on with more theories now Perhaps they did, I just don't believe there is enough evidemce there to support the fact that Richtofen ever purposefully went out and ate zombie flesh. He may have accidentally choked on some, but I don't think he ever made sure he ate any. Regardless, neither of us can know for sure whether he did or didn't, but hopefully it won't be too long before Treyarch reveals more to us.

The Real Reason Richtofen Talks To Samuel
MNM1995 replied to Taklok's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yeah Taklok, I don't want to start an argument on here too... I've got another argument already ongoing on a different topic about Richtofen not being the only voice in Samuel's head (this guy is telling me it is a fact that there is more than one voice in his head because of the Die Rise intro, and i'm saying it simply can't be because neither Samuel or Richtofen has confirmed it), but I think that's over now. Anyway, back on with this: I pretty much agree with most of this actually, although i'm not too sure on the last part. This is mainly because I believe that from TranZit onwards Richtofen is becoming weaker (especially if Maxis is being helped) and I don't think he'll have the power to continuously respawn the survivors. However, as you rightly pointed out, we don't know the extent of his powers so we can't really judge whether or not this ability consumes much/ any of his power. -
The answer I'm trying to get out of you is exactly how nuclear explosions would reduce how well he controls the zombies. You failed to answer. I think the reason he doesn't completely hold back his 'minions' (look up the definition) is because although he wants the crew to complete his plan, he's still the psychopath we all know and love who loves to toy with people. Thank you for stating the obvious. The writers are clearly using very specific language to suggest to the player that Richtofen does in fact ingest zombie flesh. Take note that none of the other characters use words such as 'delicious' when describing killing zombies (bar Samuel). They are written so we can infer information about him. Just so you know, I've actually been playing zombies obsessively since Verruckt was released in WaW; I know a fair bit about the game and its characters. Now, to the quote -- stop taking everything so literally. Again, the language used infers to us that he might do similar things in his free time. Richtofen isn't one to care about aids anyway. GET IT? Now you're being silly. No, he did not literally get out a vial and bend down to extract blood from a zombie corpse at that very moment. Why do you think he would say something like that? Why would he even think to save a vial of zombie blood "for later"? It's very obviously referencing to the fact that he is a cannibal (of sorts). I'm sure you've got it now. Stop being biased and accept the facts. Ah good, we can both say we've been following zombies feverishly since Veruckt so neither of us are idiots- stop talking to me like I am one. Now, onto the quotes again you are missin the point of what I said completely. The quotes are default quotes many characters make similar remarks to (although I shall say I don't believe other characters refer to these thigs in that manner), they are nothing more. The developers did not put them in there to hide some secret message, just to portray the character and personality of the survivors we play as to give us a better idea as to what they're likely to do. Why else do you think people got a little fed-up with hearing the same or similar quotes over and over again? BECAUSE THEY ARE THERE TO BUILD CHARACTER. Not every little thing that is in zombies is put there to develop the story. Another thing, how am I being biased? I am going on pure fact here- thus far, no other voices in Samuel's head have been confirmed asides from Richtofen's- you're point may prove to be true, however at this point in time it is just a theory. All i'm trying to say is that, despite the fact your argument is logical and could bery well become true, at the moment all it is is a theory in your head that I know, even though i'm presenting you with the facts here, I won't be able to break out of there. Until we complete an easter egg in a later map or I hear or see something that proves that Richtofen is not the only voice in Samuel's head, then i'm sorry but I do not support your THEORY and I am instead going with the FACTS. Now please, just drop this pathetic argument and move on with your theories on this blog, and if/ when the day comes that Samuel says something as small as "Why are you guys always arguing in my head?", which would prove your multiple voice theory, then I will come back on here and personally apologise for any annoyance I may have bestwoed upon you. But, until that day I am not going to change my mind and you are not going to change yours so please just get on with other theories (that I will pay attention to and read as I love theories) and stop persistently causing this argument to get bigger. It's not going to get us anywhere in proving/ debunking your theory.

Hey this sounds like there might be some kind of connection between stu and richtofen, I googled stuehlinger and it was all german names. Sorry if im late and this has already been pointed out Perhaps, but I don't think there connection goes any further than Richtofen bening in Samuel's head.
