  1. Because he has no reason to. Why bother talking to all four, when you can convince one paranoid conspiracy theorist to do your bidding? I'm sure if he were to talk to all four, they would recognize him as the voice trying to kill them. Now, because of the fact that Stu is the only one who can hear him IN ADDITION TO the blackmail, the other three have no idea what the voice sounds like, so they can't say "Stu. Stahp. You stop listening to him." All they know is that A voice is talking to him, and even then, they pass this off as him being crazy, as also seen in the Great Leap Forward cinematic. Incase you haven't noticed, at least by Die Rise it seems Stu only really gets on with Russman (and even so i'm not 100% convinced he returns this liking). The others seem to see him as being completely insane, like you mentioned, however they also don't sem to value him as a team member, evidenced by quotes from Misty and Marlton regarding conversations with Stuhlinger being "useless". He himslef is portrayed as being usless several times in the animated intro, firstly when he fails to understand what the voices are telling him. Next, when Russman dies all he can do is stand and watch in shock, despite clearly being armed with what looks like an Executioner. Next, whilst still in shock and seemingly facing an inpending doom, he requires Misty and Marlton to come and rescue him in the elevator. Then again, once he enters and regains his senses, he immediately asks Misty what the plan is. This shows us that he is unable to come up with anything, and perhaps looks up to Misty as a leader despite hating her, again portraying his uselessness to us. Again, near the end of the trailer he was unable to stop their inevitable fates of meeting their demise at the hordes of zombies waiting once the elevator doors open near the bottom. Finally, at the end of the intro, Samuel questions "Have we been here before?" This again shows him to be quite useless as he is doubting himself this time, however this could arguably be the least useful thing he does as he is merely stating what likely everyone was thinking already. Also, the other characters do know of the voice and that it is the voice that talks to them when a power-up is picked up. This is supported by Misty's quote when running low on ammo, in which she may say "Come on crazy voice guy, throw us a Max Ammo!" So, again I say why doesn't Richtofen just force them almost into doing his bidding? Why does he rely on Stuhlinger (who is unpopular with seemingly everyone) to ensure the survivors do Richtofen's bidding and not Maxis's?
  2. After we freed Maxis in the second half of the Moon EE, Maxis became an antity similar to Richtofen, meaning they can see everything at the same time and intervene when necessary. However, unlike Richtofen, Maxis cannot directly communicate with the survivors unless there is some kind of electronic device nearby (all his quotes in BO2 sound similar to the radio messages starting up). For this reason, I don't believe Maxis is in the Aether, but instead is somewhere else, maybe inside the electronics themselves and is simply apearing in the nearest electronic thing to the survivors at the times he is needed.
  3. I know someone's already told you about needing to be dead to be reanimated, but there could be some good from this post. As a result of Stuhlinger eating the flesh, the 115 from it that did go into his body could have some kind of linkage to the reason he hears zombie grains in his head throughout Die Rise? Just food for thought...
  4. That's quite a good idea with the blackmail, but my only problem with this is that if Richtofen so desperately needs the help of the survivors, why would he limit himself to only speaking to one of them? Surely if he just spoke to all 4 and said "Listen, help me or i'll make sure you don't survive." I'm pretty sure they'll do his tasks. Also, the Die Rise intro in my opinion kind of shows Samuel to have an inportant role, perhaps to important to pass up as just blackmail. Regardless, a very good point to make and ome that could very easily be true!
  5. The nukes destroyed much of the planets surface, greatly reducing the amount he could take over and seeming also actually reducing how well he can control the zombies, as it seems in TranZit he cannot simply stop the zombies completely. And those are default quotes the characters say when: Quote 1: Getting attacked by a crawler. All characters have quotes about the crawlers biting or tearing their shins (most notably Dempsey who hates them and hates that Treyarch haven't invented shin armour yet), yet none of them hear voices and also the crawlers don't actually bite them just swipe them so they are likely just venting their frustration at them. Quote 2: Getting a headshot. All characters normally make a quote about heads popping, and this doesn't mean he actually tasted the inside of his head, he likely meant (and if you know Richtofen's character at all this is likely true) that he liked how well the head popped. Quote 3: That's pain. Pain is not in physical form, I can't physically suck up pain with a straw it's impossible. Again, if you actually know Richtofen's character it would help. He really loves causing pain and misery for people, and almost thrives off it so this would be something he says if he knows he's making a zombie suffer. Quote 4: Again, do you think realistically he stopped fighting off hordes of zombies, got out a vial and bent down to a corpse to extract blood from it before placing the vial back in his jacket? He was just commenting on the vast amounts of blood from his pevious kill (or kills, as this was likely a quote in response to him either killing a zombie that hit him or killing a large group of zombies quickly). Quote 5: This isn't even relevant, he is merely again saying that he enhoyed causing that last zombies death, again maybe a response to him killing a zombie that hit him. Actually, pretty much none of those quotes support the point you were making, they only support a different point that Richtofen thrived off dealing pain to anything, living or dead. I'm sorry but those quotes were completely irrelevant. EDIT: Also, did you even bother to look at the link in my previous post? It may help clear up my theories a little better and may even make you question yours.
  6. The two of them sound pretty similar, I don't see how you can be so certain they are just zombie groans in his head. I thought Richtofen did eat zombie flesh (I believe it's backed up by a lot of quotes). The two don't sound that similar at all, one sounds like a very deep, distorted voice (the intro) and the others are quite lighter sounding and clearly sound like the Zombie growls in the game just again distorted (though not in the same fashion as the intro voice). And Richtofen never ate zombie flesh, though he often commented on it pouring over him, though those are just comments. Story-wise, he never, unlike Samuel, purposefully ate decaying flesh (though I believe either he or Nikolai chokes on a bit of zombie flesh before spitting it out if a zombie is killed with an explosive on Shangri-La, however regardless of who it was they never swallowed the flesh). EDIT: Also worth mentioning about the voices, there is an interesting theory on this thread (last post at the bottom before the next page) that states the maybe Samuel has been infected, and those Zombie groans in his head are his subconcious trying to fight off the disease. It's a good read, check it out: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=28205
  7. And, last but not least: This is my strongest reason for not believing the garbled voice is Richtofen. If anyone can awsner this with a legitamate answer, then I'll be convinced. This one's kind of simple. Richtofen's powers have been severely reduced thanks to the nukes from the Moon. As we begin to help him, he regains powers. It seems as if he could muster up just enough power to rewind them back after the point of death. It's likely that the activation of Maxis's tower means he simply does not posess the power to send the crew back in time again, thus meaning he has to live with the loss of power he has sustained in Die Rise.
  8. Why do you continue to hear the garbled voice in-game then? It's always crying and moaning. That isn't the same voice, it's quite clearly distorted versions of zombie groans that Samuel can hear, likely due to the flesh he ate which would explain why Richtofen (who suffered a similar voice hearing in his head) didn't have these, ad he never ate zombie flesh.
  9. Yes. Treyarch has given us enough detail on Stuhlinger's importance in the current storyline. At this moment, we are getting closer to understanding what "mend[ing] the rift" actually means. It also allows us to better analyze The Flesh cult and how Stuhlinger is incorporated into it exactly. We know that he was a part of them, but for what reason did he leave? And what will become of him when the others discover his grueling history? It's a setup for a cliffhanger until we gain more evidence/theories. This.
  10. I have the tendancy to swear online, but that's called 'rage' (like going down before Wave 10 or the dreaded Wave 1 down Solo because you forgot how long your health takes to reload). Rage happens to everyone, it's a kind of unavoidable thing to say when you get mad or frustrated about something that is recurringly happening to you online. The term 'Rape Train', though I understand why it is used and is at first somewhat fitting, is however now quite crude and unneccesary, as it is almost 'swearing' without a purpose (you are not being frustrated by the game, you're just saying "Time to destroy this rape train!" For fun). Therefore, rape train should never really be used as a term to describe mowing down a horde of shambling undead. Period. Besides, slaughtering them sounds better.
  11. Although I don't use it either (I use hording), I don't see it as being such a crude word. Sure, it may be touching it a little, but I honestly don't mind people using it (I myself, when clutching games of zombies and getting all giddy with excitement have blurted it out randomly though rarely). I just prefer using other words to describe getting a group of zombies together and popping their heads... You want to know terminology that offends me in zombies?! When people call the Perk-A-Cola's by their online perk equivalents... Like calling 'Speed Cola' 'Sleight Of Hand'. NO! IT'S SPEED COLA! DON'T USE THAT ONLINE BS AROUND ME1! That honestly drives me insane...
  12. That's what I think too, that the nukes reduced the control Richtofen has over the zombies although as he says in TranZit to Samuel, it's something along the lines of: "What is wrong? Why are you not helping? Look, I can keep my minions away for a short while, just get it done!" This shows us that, at the very least, Richtofen can control the amount of zombies that come to attack the survivors, and I think it's fair to say that these easter eggs are to build up either Richtofen's or Maxis's power.
  13. Does he mention any other voices then? Surely he would if he was thinking about the voices in his head? I think that kinda sums it up, and besides if you looked at my later comments, I said that there is no proof anywhere that there is any voices, other than Richtofen in Samuel's head yet it is already a given fact Richtofen can communicate with Samuel. Until this point is proven, I hold true to the fact that Richtofen is the only voice in Samuel's head. If in another Zombies map this is proven false, I will of course take back everything here as my theory would no longer be correct and your's would be, but until then your point is just a theory, regardless of the fact that their could be other voices too. EDIT: In regards to the TranZit quote, go on Youtube and look for any videos with all of Richtofen's quotes from TranZit on it. It'll be there.
  14. Not a bad idea actually, it certainly explains the theory of the 'other voices' in his head (which I don't believe though explained like this makes sense).
  15. Perhaps there are other voices in there, and i'm not completely dispelling this theory, but for now we know there is only one voice in Samuel's and that is Richtofen's. We would be jumping to conclusions if we believe there are more than one voice in Samuel's head as we only have solid evidence of one voice, no more.
  16. @MNM1995 So, Richtofen knew that the remaining three were going to die, so told them to accept their fate and start over again? Why, as controller of the zombies, did he not reduce the hoard to stop them from dieing? I remain adamant that it is not Richtofen. I stated in my post that at first glance it seems to be just a distorted Richtofen, but when you look at the evidence it seems the two voices are separate entities. If you listen to a couple of audio quotes from the radios on Moon, when Samantha first enters the MPD her voice is normal; it is clear that years trapped in the Aether had driven her insane, thus changing her voice. Why, in the very sudden transition from Tranzit to Die Rise, do we see an almost instant change in Richtofen's voice - that he switches to and from freely! I don't believe Richtofen has full control of the zombies. He can stop them spawning in as much (like he says in TranZit, he can hold them off for a while) but I believe that he cannot simply stop the zombie from eating people. In regards to your theory, you have to bear in mind that Samantha has always been able to do this, and besides that Richtofen was insane going into the MPD so he would have had an advatnage. Of course Samantha's voice was normal then, she had only just entered! She's not likely to know all the powers at her fingertips immediately. She even says in Moon that Richtofen is terrible at controlling the zombies and that he needs more practice, not suprising seeing as he just gained control. You are also forgetting Samantha could change between the voices freely as well (proven on Moon and as I mentioned before when powerups are dropped). I think you are jumping to conclusions about this- Samuel can only hear one voice in his head, and it's Richtofens. This is proven on Die Rise, when the Who's Who perk is bought by him. He says: "Who is who? That's a good question. Like that crazy German guy in my head!" I'm sorry, but if the character himself confirming he only hears one voice, and making no mention of another voice or anything of the sort, is not enough proof that at the time being there is only one voice in his head, then I don't know what is.
  17. I think the reason he teleported them all back through time was because they were all killed, not just Russman. It's pretty clear that Misty, Marlton and Samuel all get swarmed at the end of the cutacene, and it is very likely they all die. Richtofen likely knew this before they reached the bottom of the elevator, hence why he tells Samuel to "accept your fate, begin anew!". Also, I think that is definately Richtofen's voice. If you remember, Samantha could manipulate and distort her voice to (like when she says "Kaboom" and whilst she is cursing Richtofen when he is filling up the tanks with souls during the Moon EE). Richtofen wouldn't want to tell Samuel what needs to be done because that was too easy- he secretly enjoyed the challenges he faced whilst trying to get tasks done in previous EE's from BO1, and is doing the same in BO2. This also explains why Samuel is getting so annoyed with Richtofen when he communicates with him- because he never gives a clear answer, he just talks in riddles.
  18. This. Would. Be. AWESOME!
  19. I actually really like this theory, it's quite clever the thought if the O4 actually being the key on the entire thing... Would be very interesting to see indeed! I do hope that, even if it's just for one map or maybe even a mention, we get to play as/ see/ hear the O4 again... Was playing some BO1 the other day and realised how great they were and how much I miss them! These new characters are good, don't get me wrong, but I do miss good ol' Tank, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofsam.
  20. Okay, i've been on here since December 2011 and I am (now anyway) quite an active member of the forum, and I just realised that I have never done an introduction on here yet, so I figured may as well do one now! Now, as my username suggests I am 17 years old and my name does begin with an M- Michael. I origianlly hated zombies with a pasion. I couldn't understand why people loved it so much, I thought it was shit. Then, my brother downloaded the WaW map packs and persuaded me to try out Der Riese. I'll cut the story down a little now, I became an addict and after following this website since the release of Moon in September 2011, decided to get involved with my own theories and ideas about the game mode that has become my only reason I really keep my xbox... On the topic of theories, I consider myself to be quite a theorist- I love coming up with new ideas and information on the story, and have posted quite a lot of theories on here. Also,I am a MASSIVE fan of the zombies story (obviously, or else I doubt i'd have joined this website). I absolutely love how sponatneous it was and how it has become one of the biggest stories amongst FPS gamers now. Okay, maybe that's not completely true, but there is no hiding the popularity of zombies now-a-days. Just one other thing that annoys me about this map, how annoying is it that Tryearch still hasn't realised that zombies is the only reason that at least 70% of players buy the map-packs. Seriously, you don't see a forum called CoD Multiplayer do you? No theories on there about the maps online is there? Anyway, back to zombies... My favourite map is Ascension, mainly because I think the O4 characters are the funniest on this map, and I also love the layout. Plus, there's the legendary PhD Flopper loop- what's not to love? My favourite character is (incase you couldn't tell from my avatar picture and my signature) is Doctor Edward Richtofen. I think he's the funniest character of them all and his backstory is pretty ace, plus he's the only character who is confirmed alive in BO2 of the O4 characters (a fact I love). Anyway, I think that pretty much covers most of the stuff I wanted to discuss... Just wanted to add how ace this forum is and I hope there are many more zombies maps to come! Thanks for reading!
  21. I don't seem to be able to do this map so well... My KDR has decreased dramatically since the new map came out, but I don't care so much because it's so addictive! An ace map, I love it! Also, just wanted to add that this will be my 200th post, so pretty happy about that!
  22. EDIT: Fixed some errors in some of the titles and edited Double Tap Root Beer to include info on the 2.0 version present in BO2. Thanks for the feedback guys! Be sure to point out anything else I may have missed, or inform me if anything new is discovered about Who's Who (I don't think so, but you never know)!
  23. Out of interest though, what are your guys thoughts on Who's Who? Personally, I absolutely love it! Think it's a great idea and well worth 2000 points.
  24. It's a guide for newcomers so it meeds to focus on all maps where a Perk-A-Cola is present.
  25. Thanks man, i've spent a good hour and a half or so slaving over this so I hope they do haha I hope to god someone's not going to comment on here saying something like "I've already done this, here's the link:" because j'd be pretty devestated!
