Me either.. It seems to me that richtofen's side is the only cannon one for three reasons: Richtofen didn't destroy the f-ing earth… Samule's involvement with richtofen's consciousness will defiantly be used later on. Richtofen deleted maxis, where as maxis put richtofen in a "cycle", seems like a bigger plot element, but lets be honest… Maxis does NOT stay dead for long… -Survived the teleporter incident -Survived the moon incident (in a sense) -Survived the virus in origins -Will Survive the exertion of his consciousness from the aether.

We don't want another black ops, I respect the build-ables, the double PAPing, the new guys, the new perks, the new music choices, the new game modes. What I do not support is how much trayarch tried to accomplish, but then ended up having to half-ass it for lack of time. Poor easter eggs, low amount of reward, poor map design, poor story execution, and what not… this should NOT be an issue if trayarch is given an extra year. In-fact, I am fully willing to predict that trayarch will completely revolutionize their game now they have more then triple the prep time just for the first maps. If they don't, and it's still shit… Pewwwww goes all respect for them…

Perhaps a calendar section as well that can be used to set up notifications of when you and your friends want to play zombies and it will automatically notify everyone you tag in it and invite them to a lobby of the exact set up… Maybe an E-Z jump to the character customization menu by pushing down (on the D-pad). To box customization by pushing back and to game select by pushing start. Store would be right. Bank would be left. Local matches would be Up. Oh and I forgot, to return to the Main menu or to the multiplayer menu, just walk out the open windows, the windows on the front are open, like in tranzit. You'll walk into the mist and go to the main menu. The multiplayer menu is different as well: But similar: You're in a state of the art next-generation military control room. This area is set up a bit differently: There's one actual terminal which contains access to the custom classes, public matches and just about everything. Otherwise there's a local mode table, and a closet used for character customization. There's also a calendar here for the same purpose as the zombie calendar. No bank. There is a store but it's strictly for DLC. There's one door built to enter the zombies menus again. Another for the camp. Also for MP there's a new tournament set up feature in which one can chose 3-10 matches, including the participants, game mode, and map, all of which can be set to random selection. And those can then all join together to battle it out, eventually crowning a winning player or team. Perhaps an archive section telling the story and reasons for each map's feud. Up: Archives. Left: Calendar Right: DLC Store Down: Tournament selection Back: Character customization Start: Match set up and custom classes. There would also be a little easter egg in here as well. If one is to knife the windows rather then walk out the door, they can actually walk out of the room and look around, where eventually they find a room with the dead bodies of their crew, the only explanation to their death is a single sentence on the wall in blood: "He will have his revenge"…. An now they get the achievement: 5gs: What happened here…. Doing this will unlock the "Resnov" beard for your character customization.

Alternate Game Modes.. Yay or Nay?
Stop Mocking Me0 replied to minator177's topic in Research & Development
It is when everyone want all these new features. Gota have them EMP grenades… Nuketown was close to what you're asking. SO how about this: secondary map: Fabrik der Verdammten You start off outside a factory, (like der reise but not) you enter to find a normal factory setting, no special anything. You have two doors, head to the power, or cut strait to the box. Heading towards power will take you behind the main area in a multitude of thin corridors barely passable by your characters. Eventually you'll reach the break room, where one can hit power and all the construction and manufacturing will start up again. Now from this room you can take the conveyer belts up to the rafters where a series of thin catwalks and moving conveyer belts separate you from the head office, and the ground bellow (which a fall from this height will down you) In the head office one can find both a stair way down to the box room, the area beneath the rafters where the box sits, behind that is a set of broken stairs that would lead you back to the beginning, but instead just cause you to slip down. As well, back in the head office, one can find a ladder strait to the roof, where there's a massive area built around a glass skylight. while stepping on the solid roof is fine, touching that skylight will drop you. You'll be fine if you land on a rafter, but not much anywhere else. Back in the box room there's a set of boxes one can climb over to find a door to the back parking lot, another wide area with a few downed burning trees and a few cars to prevent you from having too much of an OP area. As well, there's one area only accessible by falling off the rafters into an area behind some boxes, you can crawl back over the boxes to get back to the main area, to get back. Perks: Jug: Found in the main office. PHD: Found in the secret back parking lot. Quick revive: Found in the front room. Speed cola: Found in the power room. Double tap: Found in the small corridors. PAP: Found on the roof. Galvas: Found behind the boxes you have to fall from the rafters to get to. Box: Normal ? box. Gimicks: None. Progress through doors and survive. -
back, down/up/down down, A…. That's all I'm saying…

And that's another thing: Almost everything in black ops 2 can be solve by one of three things: Build this thing hit this with this weapon or kill zombies in THIS location I wan't something more along the lines of shangri la where we actually have to decipher codes, match symbols, and lead special zombies through here… Literally the only easter egg step with any difference in BO2 was the die rise step where you had to stand on the tiles… Buried's easter egg got a little creative with the time bomb-infinity mode. But that still was just a "detonate this here" step. And don't even start with origins… It's all of those 3 things emphasized to the max. So many things could have been done with the avagadro, or the MOTD warden, heck even the panzer could have been more useful. Then there's the complete disregard for any proper code: MOTD's code is always the same, and so is Origins. Die rise's tower is a bit better but poorly excited as those tiny little pieces are HARD to see. But what disappointed me the most was the complete feel of no reward… In BO1 you got two pieces to unlock the final easter egg in moon from MOTD and Shangri la, as well as an achievement and a kick ass profile pic. Bo2? Oh yeah you get a single game where you can obtain 4 weapons or get excess drops… then it all resets without an achievement… Oh and in two maps you can end the game too…Nothing but worthless GS for doing THAT...
-
Trayarch lean in close. The so called easter eggs in BO2 were not easter eggs, they were objectives. Black ops one? Oh yeah total EEs. The difference? Black ops two: -Everyone shouting at you to accomplish the task. Black ops one: -One little thing in an area gave you a single clue. You had to work it out from there. Trayarch, It's pretty well known that easter eggs DO EXIST, you don't need to scream it at us every time we start up a game! Go back to what it was, one tiny little hint or two. A mysterious voice in one area, a flashing light, buttons that have a mysterious "push X" symbol on it… Just little stuff. I NEVER want to hear american-samantha say: "There were riddles, hidden within the chambers" again! Nor do I want to hear: "WAIT, these gallows are positioned in the optimum location" or "Now that we have the parts, we really should make a break for the roof" or "The electrical grid is no longer interfering with my communication" and especially not: "Yes, that is it! DO IT!" A simple: Hello is anyone out there? in one section of the map would suffice… Anyone else agree?

Oh god, even worse: Place a portal RIGHT in front of PAP to the opposite side of the map! the twelve year old SCREAMS are like music to my EARS! (not really it's like knives on a chalk board)

No no… as much as we all love zombies, a full zombies game is out of the question for now. Too many people buy the games strictly for the multiplayer and not enough buy it for the zombies, don' t get me wrong a LOT of people get it for the zombies. But MP still is a main factor, you take that away and you loose profit. Then what does trayarch do? They loose money… Later on, when the zombies franchise has come to a close, by all means go out with a bang. Trayarch will make profit off it if they don't plan to make any more games, but if they do they should save to "juxtapose" it all together for the best effect.

I like the idea of teleport whatnots, but if you spawn back in this place without weapons, you're screwed either way, it's practically who's-who all over again with a bit more control…. As for the weapon. I could see, and enjoy, that. Portal here… Portal there, perhaps some exploding lemon grenades for the box as well DEFIANTLY needs to be used in a massive canyon type map where getting from side A to B is difficult! Oh and think of it's abilities in GREIF! I shudder...

Nonsense, you build a cool enough story within the map and you've got your gameplay mechanics right there... Mob of the dead: centered around 4 actors battling the undead in a frozen waist land to help the regular characters, trapped in a freezer. Shangri la: centered arround using time travel to help brock and gary. Moon: On the faking moon. You must do this in layers, build the gameplay around the story, and then the map around the gameplay. Fool-proof.

My plea to Treyarch - ranking and purchasable content

Thank you! *Skips merrily down a cobblestone path, in the sunset, casually murdering the undead as I tread through the grass….* -
Sounds like someone's been playing dishonored... Anyways how about these weapons: Linked circuit: A shock charge from multiplayer, throw it, and it will never go off, however, if one detonates it with the remote, it can teleport them. The issue being you have to be able to see the device to activate it. This isn't a tactical but it goes along with your ballistics knives topic. Tomahawk: Same as multiplayer you get it from the box and you can toss it at zombies and knife with it for 1 hit kill til round 5. Upgraded it turns into the hells retriever with the same melee effect as that of a Krauss refibulator. Making it so you can grab drops from afar. Double upgraded changes it to a hells redeemer.

That's not how it works... You rank up to look pro. You can earn weapons via challenges and objectives. A higher rank does not mean more weapons. You purchase the weapons with the points you have in your bank. That's why you get points in the bank. Don't want to put in the effort? FInd someone who loves zombies, I'm sure he'll transfer some of his bank profit if it means that much to you. -

Well then you didn't pay very much attention to the information given to you at the start of the game did you, or you didn't ask him. Remember this is an Xbox one/ PS4 now… EVERYONE can talk. And as well, you either need to stick with your Lsat, or play and put points into your bank until you've reached enough to purchase the RPD, put it in, and have a whale of a time. yes you have to work, but you only have to work as much as you want to. You don't have to get every different weapon. You want the RPD? Play a good few games, and it's yours. We're zombie players, we know and we can deal with our points how we want, thats how one succeeds in the game. As well, 60% is not a lot, there are lets say: 1smg, 1 LMGs, 1 launcher, 3 pistols, 3-4 wonder weapons 0 tactical 2 snipers 0 balistics 1 shotgun 4 rifles and 1 bear. in the mob of the dead box. That's a total of 17-18 weapons, lets say you have 18. divide that by 100: .18 multiply it by 60: 10.8- round to 11 Eleven weapons are your choice. They are not better choices, just different. You can not change the blunder gat, the ray gun, the death machine, or the mark 2. Meaning three more weapons are still unique to the map. The other 11 are going to be your choice. And I am not even going to comment on your point of "the weapons can't be exchanged crap for better"… I have expressed enough times the weapon selection is BALANCED! Not perfect. But in no way game changing. -

Two points: 1: My guns add nothing, you don't get an extra death machine in there, you would have to trade the death machine for something exactly similar to a death machine. AND THEN the only way to get it is from the box, so weather you had a death machine or not, you could get a weapon of equal effectiveness just as easily from the box by early rounds. Just as you can in transit, mob of the dead, Origins, moon, der reise, nact, and literally every other zombies map. 2: There is nothing similar to a death machine, that means it's one of the 40% random weapons assigned only to a few maps. (personally i say the death machine needs to stay a drop) -

It's still random, well…. 40% random… Plus wall weapons and dlc. I do NOT see why nobody is OK with this… The weapons are balanced, and heck I haven't even gotten into the topic of earn-able weaponry! Doing challenges and easter eggs now can result in new forms of interchangeable weapons equitable, and de-quipable via a custom class section. Heck this is more fair then the Multiplayer at this point! Recap: - The box is random, you have NO control over the weapons you receive from it, but you can limit and change which weapons you can receive from it. -The weapons are balanced. We aren't exchanging pellet guns for thunder guns here. It's all fair. - You always have the exact same SET amount of weapons in the box, no more, no less (unless you have Ray gun M2 dlc). -With every dlc you still get: New box weapons, new wall weapons, and new custom class weapons that you can try out all you want. -This adds the ability to earn weapons for you to put in the box, they aren't any stronger either… Still balanced, just different and adds a feel of achievement and award. You can show it off as well. Starter pistols: -One weapon may be more powerful, but comes at the expense of splash damage danger and lesser amo. -Both weapons have the same range of effectiveness at the beginning, it's your choice to PAP it. Also: Weapons do change if you can change them. If you don't trayarch sets the rules for which guns you can get in each game. A set of rules that never change. You can never get the python in buried, you can never get the war machine in MOTD. Does this mean with my system you suddenly can get these? No. It means you can get a mtar over a m1927 or a Lsat over a RPD. It adds no more weapons in, it takes no weapons out. MATER CAN NOT BE DESTROYED, ONLY TRANSFERRED! -Maxis -

Actually it was in grief cellblock as well… And the map does nothing with weapons, look at black ops and WAW. Their weapons were consistent throughout the game, and therefore never changed. You still get new wall weapons, and the wonder weapons, and the unlocked DLC and mp-pack weapons released at the same time. So you still get the new weapons, but now you can use them on all maps you want. And who's to say the Mustang and Salley would even be effective against the panzer? Even if it was, my amo is as well, significantly lower then what you have. SO! Why it takes you, oh, 10 bullets to take down a panzer, and me 4, my amo-full amo ratio has actually depleted MORE then your weapon has! Meaning, I may have a fun time now, but a couple rounds later, I'm screwed begging richtofen for a max amo! And like you said, why the MAS is more powerful, it has splash damage! Without PHD (an extra 2000, or 1500 from the WF) I've got a bit of an issue on my hands… Meanwhile you and your mauser, don't have to pay 2000 points, and get a better amo distribution, but you loose the power of the MAS. It's all balanced. The same way for the box. (BTW not ALL the weapons are customizable, say about 60% of the weapons are, the other 40% are map specific and locked.) RPD for Lsat, it's the same amount of power. Just distributed differently. I stick by my statement saying that if obtaining a Galil over a M1927, and Lsat over an RPD, or a new model army over a python forces the map to be completely changed, then that's one HELL of a tommy gun you got there…. Ratio for Ratio, it's the same. -
Seriously considering purchasing WAW for the PC just for playing custom maps between off seasons.

The game is only 20 bucks (US & UK) on Steam. All custom maps are completely free. Find the money!!!

Can't sell my soul, I lent it to cathy in exchange for that turkey sandwich she had…
I'll find the money, and I'll likely get the transfer come summer.

But is there anything that will truly and honestly effect gameplay? No… Your telling me, that you can't get to round X with a Lsat, but are perfectly capable with the RPD? Or you can't survive with a Mtar but are totally capable of doing so with an M1927 aka Tommy gun? Or the Remington (shotgun) vs. the (i think it was) spas (the shotgun from black ops) Or the Mp5 for the Mp5k? Having a different type of the same level of gun shouldn't effect your game at all. The Mauser makes perfect sense… In fact you've already understood it in a sense. You start off with basically the same weapon. (say a 2 player game, of two people, yourself and chopper) You have an m1911, chopper has a Mauser… You kill the same amount of zombies with the same shoot a few times, knife, tactic… Do you feel any stronger then chopper? Does he feel any stronger then you? No.. You have equal points based on your bullet-per-zombie ratio. The only change is, come round 15 when you both decide to upgrade, he has a boomhilda, and you have a Mustang and Sally. But when you look at it, by then, neither of those weapons makes a difference if one kills better then the other, which they don't, they have the same amount of effectiveness. Ones a single-zombie-lots-a-amo weapon and the other is a round-them-up-to-tear-them-down type. It's a a decision you make of what KIND of game you want to have. Simply put, those who can survive longer with a Mauser then a M1911, should just gather their zombie-points up (given there are both DLC weapons and in-game purchasable-via-money-you-have-in-your-bank) and get the Mauser. Now it's a whole different story if you start off with a strong weapon like the ray gun, that is OP and should not be the case. (Unless it's like the rae-blaster, a severely nerfed form of the ray gun that takes 8 hits to kill a round 1 zombie.) -

Thats just it… Everyone has this crazy idea that changing which weapons you have access to will effect your gameplay 10 fold… In reality, there's not much difference between holding an Lsat and a RPD. Or a Mtar and a Tommy gun. Sure one has more point gaining ability, but the other has stronger damage. And either way, you're getting this from the box! You have no control over what you get and how good off you are. It's all about balance, and what Kind of player you are. A while ago there was a saying, a great saying: "There's a zombie killer in all of us" And from that I think it doesn't matter what we have in our box, or what we start off with! Your skill shouldn't differentiate because of what you get from the box. (unless its the War machine… then you're just screwed…) -
My plea to Treyarch - ranking and purchasable content
Stop Mocking Me0 replied to Chopper's topic in Research & Development
Well how about this: Extra guns: Changes ONLY what's in your box with an equal weapon: Ex: Python for a Remington NM army, or a M27 for a galil. Nothing to make you any more OP then before, but changes it so your weapon is more "you". As for changing starter weapon, just look at origins.. Do you feel any stronger with a Mauser in your hand rather then a M1911? No you do not, and as long as one never gets a stronger weapon it's simply a matter of choosing between a boomhilda and a Mustang and Sally. Change the weapon, not how strong it is.
