No no… The only map in BO2 built around a story, was Mob of the dead. The map that everyone loves, was a huge success, and had an ambiguous, yet very followable and entertaining storyline… Tranzit:Built around the idea of a giant map, build ables, and stupid EMP grenades… Die rise: Built around verticality and falling to one's death... Buried: Built around… I don't even know… It's likely how it is, all scrunched up together, to help with the time bomb's effects. Origins: 100% built around the staffs, a horrible choice I should add, 90% of the map is based around either obtaining a staff, or upgrading a staff, a process that in every map before BO2 as simply: Get the WW out of the box, kill with it. The soul chests and tablets are the only things not focusing on the staffs….

On a ROLL with these ideas for next game! ^_^

Don't be "that guy", you really think that trayarch would end the story with: "my dad has a plan" "Lulz I am inside samule's body" or "AHAH! I am not the superior being in argartha!" And NOT continue the story? It's typical, every year people start saying "oh it won't be back, that was the end" but it never is… It will be some day, but not now… This time they really do have to continue the storyline. No way around it. Too much foreshadowing. If there's no zombies come november 2015, I'll eat my hat!
-
Trayarch bit off WAY more then they could chew this year… Their maps were too big to iron out all the bugs in time for DLC. The new buildables feature makes things more tedious and the game starts to rely more on that (even though it shouldn't). With trayarch this panicked about everything the storyline dropped like that "du-du-duh" which trayarch should't have dropped… Next year, by which I mean next year and a half, trayarch has no excuse to iron out these misfortunes and bring us QUALITY maps, not QUANTITY maps.

Is Ghosts Really As Bad As Everyone Says?
Stop Mocking Me0 replied to packapunch115's topic in Ghosts
Oh yeah, between MW3 and Ghosts? No question. Ghosts is better. MW2 was pretty good, but none of them compare to BO2, waw, and especially BO1. -
Yeah brain matter comes and goes on this site… (we think trayarch eats it ) Of course we can't have 8 dlcs though… That's too much for trayarch, even with an extra year. Instead, simply focus on micro dlc: The zombies pass unlocks -All zombie maps, all zombie micro dlc maps, weapons, and customizables. In the end we have not only 4 new maps, but even more so, with dlc maps and weapons. 75$ is your total. (bit pricy but they have to make some profit as this mode is about 9000 times more difficult to create then MP) The MP pass unlocks the 3 sets of four maps, as well as any micro dlc maps, weapons, and customizables. In the end they still end up with their 16 maps, as promised, and a bit more with the seasons pass. 60$ is your total. On the other hand, those who don't get a pass but purchase each dlc individually, will get the option to, for the regular price, purchase a map pack, containing the normal 4 MP maps, and 1 zombies map with bonus modes. However, they will not get the extra dlc maps, or all of the dlc weapons, and customizations. Each DLC is 15$, each micro is about $.50-4 depending on the item. SO they end up with a slightly more expensive around 80$ for all the dlcs, however they can choose which DLCs they purchase and don't...

Or how about this: Daily pre-set challenges like in Jetpack Joyride (fantastic game BTW) Each of these challenges, if completed, on the days they're ripe for doing nullifies all the ticks lost (save the bank one) and instead gives you a tick for playing this special way: Here are a few challenges: -Survive to round 10 without opening any doors. -Survive to round 10 without touching the power switch. -Survive 5 rounds without spending any points. -Use 10 traps in a game. -Play an entire game, past round 10 where you can only purchase weapons from the box. -Play an entire game, past round 10 where you can only purchase weapons from the wall. -Play a game of grief using ??? weapon/clothing item/permaperk/ start pistol -Earn 10000 points without using the bank. -Kill 10 zombies with one wonder weapon shot. -Fill all four of the soul chests (adds 4 soul chests into the game) -Survive to round 5 using nothing but melee kills. -Collect 10 nukes -Collect 10 carpenters -Obtain a fire sale, but do not hit the box. -Leave a PAPed weapon in the PAP. -Survive a whole game past round 15 using nothing but your starter pistol and the weapon in your locker. -Obtain the maximum amount of perks on a map. -Survive without perks for 10 rounds. -Acquire the Ray gun, don't fire it, and put it back in the box.
-
Well why don't they do the thing that's both money effective, and player-pleasing: On launch: 2 Main maps, one slightly smaller, but unique. 2 Grief, and a couple of new modes. For hardened players you already gain access to the ray gun M2. NO SEASON"S PASS, seasons pass= No full-zombies dlc. Instead have a "zombie's pass" which unlocks all zombie dlc throughout the year: Including the few purchasable survival maps via micro-dlc. (4$ each)

As we all know, the BO2 bank idea is WAY too Op. And the Ranking system is just as crude… So I've found a way to kill two birds with one stone: There will now be 7 levels of ranks: Novice (1) ----1 tic Hand coming out of a grave symbol Amateur (2) ---- 20 tics Half a zombie out of a grave symbol Vile (3) ---- 100 tics Zombie at a window symbol Murderer (4) --- 500 tics, and a 5 day streak Head symbol Mad man (5) ---750 tics, and a 7 day streak Knife-in-head symbol Bloodlust (6)--- 950 tics, and a 10 day streak No-head symbol Thing of destruction (7) 1150 ticks, a 10 day streak and total mastery collection. Teddy bear symbol. -Streaks: Days in a row played, only need to be done once, one can tell your streak via the color of the symbol's glow: Orange: 1-3 days, red: 4-5 days, blue: 6-8 days, yellow: 9 or more. Each of these levels depict just how good of a player you are, via tick marks: A tick mark is awarded every game you play, and two for every VS game you win, however you lose a tick for every: -game you lose in VS. -time you go down more then once every 100 kills. (meaning every 100 kills makes you gain an extra down, so people who go down early for stupid reasons have a chance to redeem themselves before leaving, at the start of the game, you're allowed to go down twice, after the third down, you loose that tick, unless you can gain 100 kills, in which case you get your tick back. -you lose the tick you earn in a game if you quit, or disconnect, those who don't quit maintain their ticks. -USING THE BANK in a game also deducts a tick mark. However you can still store money in there, you just can't take it out. Needless to say, those with real skill will rise above those who don't… Now, you may ask yourself: Why would anyone play then? They could just get a kill, down themselves and rank up that way: Simple: The game doesn't reward you if you don't last at least 10 rounds on a normal survival mode. Likewise, players who get to 500 kills are rewarded with another tick. And a 3rd+ tick for every 500 head shots. Also every easter egg completed rewards 2 ticks. The bank: Now for the bank: The bank is not only to be used in case you A: Join a game (in which case you are allowed to remove a certain number of points baked on the round), Or B: want to complete an easter egg (if completed your bank-use deduction is null as well). It's also used to customize your other what-nots. Allowing one to change out your weapons, outfit in mini-game modes (grief, survival, ect.), and even help finance your friends! For those who disapprove of this: Imagine the quotes: Samuel: "I don't know why but I have the FUNNIEST suspicion that you're going to use this money to buy SOMEONE ELSE a HAT!" Masters: As you progress through the game, your stats will actually help determine what KIND of player you are, there are 6 types: Medic: 1000 Revives, Juicer: drink 1000 perks Warrior: 100,000 kills Champion: Win 500 matches of VS game modes. Hot shot: over 10,000 head shots Agent: Complete all the main easter eggs available at the time. Every time you earn a "mastery" a small star will appear around the border alongside your name. Having all 6, along side 1150 ticks, and a 10 day streak, will award you with the highest rank in zombies. So recap: -Bank is more focused on being used specifically for doing easter eggs, and collecting customizations. Not for actually improving gameplay… With the ability to hold a infinitely strong ww again, we shouldn't need the bank anymore for gameplay either. -Ranking system now focuses more on HOW a player plays and less on K-D ratio and "When" someone goes down… Tell me your thoughts!

Alright, I think it's safe to say that black ops had the coolest selection screen when It came to zombies, what with mason in the chair and the guard turning when you clicked "zombies". But what I want to propose is the next selection screen theme for the next game, feel free to add your own ideas and opinions, here's mine: The starting screen is that of a war zone, the "push start" screen depicts the zone from the side. Selecting start will bring you to the selection screen when you're met with the four options of: Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, Options, By clicking zombies, you're brought into a whole new scene. In fact you're playing as a moving character who can actually walk around, and where are you? Why, in NACT of course! With some changes… In the initial room you have a few options, where mule kick was there's now a workbench where one can access the options menus, (graphics settings, audio settings, ect.), and in the back of the room, where the lamp is behind the file cabinet there is now a bookcase, the bookcase is called the "archives"s section, where one can read up on zombies history, the characters, and even zombie types themselves! As well, one can ascend the stairs to access the upper floor balcony, where one can find a map-bench used to start a local game with your player 2. -The players can also customize their load outs here. Note: The help room is only operable to those who have Xbox live/PS-network. Inside the help room is a multitude of things: -A Radio in the corner will allow one to hear the songs they've collected via teddybears and whatnot through out the map. -The box can actually be used to change which weapons will be in the box which is set and balanced so one player doesn't get too OP, what starter weapon you will start off with: (M1911, mauser, ect.), as well as which 3 perma perks you can access in a game (after you've earned them). -Upstairs, but still in the locked off area, you can access the cabinet, which offers you the ability to change your custom character, used for game modes in place of identical CDC and CIA members, using clothes you've bought or earned. -As well, there's also a store upstairs as well in the form of an overturned wardrobe, which one can purchase customizable items and DLC from using either the money you've earned in game, or credit card IRL, respectively. -Theres a table with a cash register on it as well up top, which one can used to check their balances, or transfer money between their bank's accounts, which are filled with every penny a player has placed into their bank in-game. -Back downstairs there's a map station with a comic book on it. Selecting that allows one to begin a game, with a simple scroll-down menu first picking which mode you want, and then the map. Once you've selected the map, you enter a lobby, which is a comic book page, (with lobby leader boards as well) and can either ready up or leave. For parties, you simply remain in this one screen, and when you back out you have access like that of previous games. (player's tags to the right, the option between a private match, a solo, a party/custom match, or a public match) However, you have to select your customization of the box and characters alone. But you can still maintain a lobby in the map area if you've left to change clothes, or change weapons. As an added bonus, there's also a little easter egg for this selection screen: Throughout the archives there are secret numbers and letters, which spell out: "Teddy is a liar"… Which if one speaks into the microphone, will result in a small weapons box opening up in the corner, inside is a simple M1911 pistol with three bullets. Now you just need to go around to the three red barrels around the map and set them off. Doing so will cause a small "ding", when you go to the shelves in the help room, there will be a small radio, which when pressed will unlock the hidden song: Undone (or whatever the classic zombie-selection-screen music is) Btw. The typical music is changed, as it's now a much darker, creepier, and less up-beat version of 'Aether" from Origins. After doing this, you can change the background song via the radio. What do you think? Good? Bad? Your ideas?

Yeah, The 3rd game would have had to be for a Xb1 or ps4 either way… Typically any game released after march will be exclusively for next gen…. Sucks… but that's why these companies stay in business... AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! Oh! OH THAT IS FUNNY! DEAR GGGGODDDD… Whew… Give.. GIve me a minute… Whew… NEVER trust a company, EVER! That is rule # 3 of big business… Their top priority: Make a top selling product the cheapest we can, this does not mean the product will be good, only that it will make money, just look at flappy bird... Take priorities into your own hands and demand what this game needs and deserves!

New Poll everyone! Make sure you put YOUR opinion towards which game modes YOU want to see come 2015!
-
WEEK 1: Details!: The idea of Create a Character for survival/grief maps Given we still have alternate game modes: Why not offer us the ability to change from a boring CDC character to something personal, adding the ability to change pre-set gameplay features such as hats, gender, hair, ect. HOWEVER: These outfits do not change in story mode, only game modes, you still have the preset 4 characters for that. What this benefits: Purchasable outfit DLC: --------$$$ right there, Ability to assign different ranks to different characters, so those who share accounts aren't always deemed as "noobs" now. -----Community approval More spice and fun to game modes----- Increased award feeling to doing certain things Unlock-able features-------to add even more fun and spice to gaming What this costs: Bit more time and effort into creating mini game modes. Slightly more difficult to tell grief teams apart (easily fixable with colored nameplates)
-
Then let's compromise: After all trayarch does have an extra year of preparation, why not give us two grief maps? One with NO gimics, one with normal amounts of grieving tools… Also I agree with these anti drops: No-amo: Lose everything in your current clip, you jelly Lsat fags? Insta-down: Well not instant but it turns juggernog off for 10 seconds… Only dropped in the form of awards (feeding the dog for example) half points: Self explanatory… Frozen sale: turns the box off for 30 seconds.
-
Cons: No zombies for another year: Mach 10 on the bummer scale... Pros: Trayarch is in NO position to deny us a MUCH better game. We have more time as well to communicate with trayarch what WE want. We WILL end up having a "Year of the 20-115" party come next november! And OOOOOH how FANTASTIC it will be!
-
Hmm… If this is the case, then off-season trayarch better pay CLOSE attention to these forums, especially that new Poll thread I've recently placed up, (And I will be regulating this one! Don't worry!). It's a practical BLUEPRINT to the best zombies experience YET! And with a whole extra year, better system, and these forums, they have NO excuse to not deliver, by which I mean: Actual easter egg REWARDS, not petty "one game perma perks". They also need to totally re-design the boards, ranking system, and for the love of GOD fix the storyline! Ya got no excuse this time Vonderhar! >

Your Feelings About The Future Of Zombies.
Stop Mocking Me0 replied to Matuzz's topic in Research & Development
Thats kind of a contradiction… but ok… -
And now you're quoting me…
-
No, no more gimmicks, what we need is a map with no way to harm the other team via weapons… The EMPS were annoying AF in tranzit, there was no jug in cell block, and in buried, which ever team got the paralyzer first, basically won the game. A simple: Kill the other team by being better then them, mode would be great. THEN yes, the anti-drops would be an excellent return feature for grieving the other team…
-
Funniest one I've heard: Playing the song effects the aggressiveness of zombies...
